*me walking in here awkwardly because I haven't updated since September.* read the bottom for an update :) Enjoy! & sorry that it is so short :(

There was a silence between the two, neither of them dared to say a word. Sakura stared at her mother as she sat there in silence. She started to open her mouth to call out to her mother but nothing came out. Before she could muster up the courage to say another word to her mother a nurse walked in the doorway of her office, standing next to her was little Kato. She bowed paying her respects to Sakura and her mother standing between them awkwardly.

"It seems like you are busy as of right now. We'll talk later Sakura." Mebuki sighed before walking out the door. Not daring to look back at her daughter. Thousands of thoughts floating in her head.

Mebuki was stopped in her tracks when someone caught her purse. She looked down to see a chubby hand on her purse.

"Hello I'm Kato." he smiled at the older woman keeping his hand on her purse. In the other hand, he had an ice cream cone that was dripping all over his clothes and face. Mebuki bent down to his level simultaneously pulling out a handkerchief. "Nice to meet you, Kato," she said as she began to wipe the ice cream from his face. Mebuki handed the ice creamed stain cloth to the nurse. She waves goodbye to Kato once last time before she left the office for good, not giving Sakura any eye contact.

"Bye!" Kato screamed, he waved his plushy hand back and forth until he couldn't see her anymore.

The Nurse ushered Kato further into the room glancing at the door that Mebuki left through. "Sakura-san Kato has been tested and we are waiting on his results. Until then no one but the nurses has been allowed in the room."

Sakura exhaled loudly before slumping back in her chair. "Thank you, anything else I need to know before you leave."

"Yes, we need to find another room for Kato since we need to keep him as far away from his mother."

"Okay, we will figure something out before the night comes." Sakura grabbed the manilla folders from the labs looking back over them. She felt someone staring at her, she looked up to see Kato still there in the middle of the floor eating his ice cream.

Sakura smiled sweetly. "Yes, Kato?"

"Where's Sasuke?"

Sakura threw her head on her desk sighing loudly. Too much was going on in her life. She didn't even have time to process what happened between her and her mother. Now she has to deal with Akane having TB, her mother acting distant, and now she has somewhere for Kato to stay.

Kato sat in the chair that was placed in front of her desk. His legs dangled from the bottom as he swung them back and forth. "You still didn't tell where they were Sakura-san." He giggled as he watched Sakura become more aggravated.

"Ouch, you bastard you left a knot on my head." Naruto and Sasuke were making their way to the hospital to meet back up with Akane and Shikamaru. He was furiously rubbing the spot of his head where the rock landed. "You know Sasuke that is going to leave a bruise right?"

"Tch"

"That's all you have to say teme!?." Naruto grabbed Sasuke by the face-pulling him closer to the bruise that was forming on the top of his head. "You can really see it now can't you."

"Yah, could you please shut the hell up dobe." Sasuke said in his iconic monotone voice. He pushed the blonde away. Shoving his hands in his pockets as he continued his walk to the hospital. Naruto mimicked him then stuck out his tongue behind him. He began to run to catch up with Sasuke who was nearly at the hospital doors. Standing at the doors was no one other than Shikamaru smoking a cigarette.

"Is that a cigarette I smell Shikamaru?" Naruto yelled, the duo began to walk up the stairs following the stench of cigarettes. "What has you stressed out now? Shikadai?"

Shikamaru rolled his eyes at the blonde. "When doesn't he have me stressed out…..Here." He shoved a scroll into Sasuke's hands. He took a puff from his cigarette watching them as they opened the scroll. Naruto scanned the scroll, the longer he looked the bigger his eyes got.

"Kakashi Sensei wants us to go back there?"

Sasuke rolled the scroll back to its normal size. "A suicide mission...sounds fun to me."

Shikamaru and Naruto both looked at Sasuke as if he lost even more marbles. Sasuke shrugged his shoulder ignoring their stares. Shikamaru outed his cigarette as he began to speak. "We don't know for sure if he is sending us or not but if he does I just want you guys to be prepared."

Shikamaru held the door for them as they entered the hospital. They started to make their way to Sakura's office. Naruto placed his hands on the back of his head. He was in deep thought about the oncoming mission. "Why does he want us to go back?"

"Honestly Naruto if I knew the answer to your question I would tell you. Like I told you Naruto I don't know for sure if he is sending us."

"Well if he does, that Ruzu guy is going to want our heads on a stake," Sasuke said. He looked at Naruto. "He especially wants you since you never know how to shut the hell up."

"Sasuke you can take that sentence and shove it up your a-"

"Naruto-san, Sasuke-san! Look, they are finally here!"

Naruto was cut off by Kato who was peeking his head out of Sakura's office. He ran into Naruto's arms rubbing his once again stained face into his jacket. "Hey, how have you been?"

Kato looked up at Naruto with his big doe eyes. "I have been good. I've been so good that I got ice cream.

"We can tell Kato." Shikamaru gave him a high five. Kato jumped to reach his hand giggling as he did. He looked over at Sasuke who just stared back. They both had a love-hate-hate relationship.

"I actually missed you Sasuke-san." Kato stuck out his hand for Sasuke to shake. Sasuke kept his hands in his pockets looking at Kato's germed filled hand. "I wish I could say the same, Kato." He flicked his forehead then walked into Sakura's office.

"Ouch that hurt Sasuke-san"

Hello is been a while I know. School started back in August and I really didn't know that online would be this hard. Exams are finally over so know I can write longer and better chapters! So be on the lookout. This chapter was more of a filler nothing too excited happened.
