"I can't believe I'm carrying a dead body in my pants right now." Naruto looked down at his pants pocket where the scroll was. In the specific scroll was the body that was found in the tunnel. Along with that, they took some samples of the rock that was used in the underground cave. The team was on their way back to Konoha, they had been in the Rain Village for the past three days digging for evidence for the village. Temari and her team were left behind to finish some tasks that were sent from their Kage.

Shikamaru studied the blonde. He kept fidgeting with the pants pocket that held the scroll in it. "Stop complaining you're making my head hurt even more."

Naruto huffed, "I'm not complaining. It's just weird. I have a weird feeling about this scroll in my pocket."

Sasuke stopped his friend from walking any further. This also caused everyone in the group to stop walking. Sasuke also stopped in the middle of the dirt path. It was the path that led to the abandoned city. He had the weirdest feeling. He looked over to Shikamaru who had also stopped, they both looked at each other knowing that they felt the same feeling.

Shikamaru looked up at the sky. He cursed out loud as he felt water droplets come down from the sky. He grew annoyed at the fact that it was raining and there was a sinister feeling in the air.

"What the hell is that feeling?"

Shikamaru couldn't shake the feeling. Was it fear or death, whatever it was it had an abundance of chakra radiating in the air. You could smell death in the air.

"Hinata."

Hinata activated her byakugan under Shikamaru's command. She scanned the area but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. The trees were normal, the ground beneath them was normal as well. There was no sign of human connection in the distance she was looking at. She looked in the sky and over the mountains as well. There was nothing there except for that sinister feeling.

"I don't see anything," she said softly.

Choji quickly interfered in the conversation, "I smell something though." He pointed to the tree that they were closest to. " I also hear something...it sounds like.."

Sasuke glanced in the direction Choji was looking at. He could recognize that sound from a mile away. It was the burning sound of a paper bomb. "It's a paper bomb everyone get away!"

Sasuke grabbed Hinata pulling her into his chest. Naruto made some shadow clones to take some of the damage but they still got blown away. A screeching sound filled their ears, visions began to blur from the blast.

"Wow, that took longer than I expected. I would have thought you guys would have caught on sooner."

Shikamaru looked in the direction the voice was coming from. He knew it wasn't one of them talking, it had to be someone from this village. Whoever it was, the strong feeling they were feeling was even broader now. It was such an overbearing feeling.

"Who the hell are you?" Naruto growled, he stood up dusting off his body. The blast has left his right arm severely burned. His right leg had an open gash as well from the debris hitting his leg.

The man who looked not much older than them stood in the tree laughing at them. His brown hair flew in the wind. He was much skinnier than any of them, he also didn't look like he could cause much damage to someone. "Yaho I'm Tezo and I'm guessing you're Naruto….I've already introduced myself to your girlfriend. "

"What the hell are you talking about!?" He sneered, Sasuke stood up next to Naruto drawing his sword out flashing it so Tezo could see it.

"Well, we actually met informally. I left her a little gift in the hospital. The gift was so good it landed her in the hospital" He began to laugh hysterically. "I guess you can say we went out with a bang...no wait..wait.." He grabbed the side of his ribs trying to stop himself from laughing. He wiped a stray tear from his face before continuing. "You can say we were hanging out." His laugh filled the air mocking them.

Naruto started to grow angry, his blood began to boil. He walked to the man in the tree pointing harshly to him."If I find out that you landed a finger on her I'll kill you."

"I didn't touch her...boss would kill me. He clearly said that he wanted her for himself." Tezo quickly covered his mouth. A shocked expression grew on his face. "Oops I wasn't supposed to say that. I guess I'll have to leave now before I say anything else."

Sasuke and Naruto both charged into action. Naruto attacked him from above while Sasuke crushed the tree he was standing in. Tezo quickly dodged the attack, he landed on the ground where Shikamaru was waiting for him.

"Gotcha!" A smirk was plastered on the lazy nin's face. He had thought he caught Tezo but he broke from the jutsu. Choji tried to use his expansion Jutsu but Tezo was quicker than he was. He was gone before Choji could even mumble out the words.

He reappeared on another tree far away from them. He stood there with a goofy smile on his face. "You guys want to see a magic trick? Watch this...now you see me and now you don't."

He had completely disappeared from the scene. Hinata activated her byakugan but nothing was there. "He must have disappeared."

"Sasuke send a messenger hawk to Temari and inform her of the situation."

"Yaho it's me again!" He stood on the ground right next to Choji. He kicked him in the rib cage sending him flying across the dirt road into the nearest tree. "Wow who knew pigs could fly." Tezo laughed he then advanced to the next target which was Hinata.

He charged at her with a kunai but was stopped by Sasuke's sword. Tezo eyes lit up in amazement. "How did you manage to get such a cool sword!? Can I have it after I kill you or not?"

"Fuck off." Sasuke kicked the man, her foot was caught by Tezo's hand. Sasuke took his other foot and connected it with his temple. Tezo stumbled back a little before he was caught off guard by a Fireball Jutsu.

He dodged it with ease. "Do you really think I would fall for that?"

Sasuke smirked, "No but it was a set up anyway."

"What?"

"Shadow Technique!" Shikamaru stood from afar protecting Choji who was still recovering from the kick. "Now Naruto!"

Tezo looked down at the ground. He noticed that he couldn't move away from the attack. He chuckled, "Wow you guys finally caught me!"

"Giant Rasengan!"

Naruto's jutsu connects with his body. It left a small crater in the ground where they had last been standing. His body laid in the small crater, an indention where the Rasengan connected was left on his face.

Sasuke walked over to the body, kicking it twice. He examined him fully before looking over at his blonde friend. "Is he dead?"

"If he is, it wasn't done intentionally."

"Liar! You were trying to kill me!" Tezo pouted.

The team turned their heads into the trees above. Tezo sat there without any scars or battle wounds on his body. He had the biggest grin on his face as he swung his legs back and forth in the tree.

"How did you get up there?! We just killed you!"

"No you didn't, you killed him...turn around."

Naruto turned around to see another human that wasn't Tezo laying on the ground. The man who was now laying on the ground was completely mummified.

"How did you do that!?" Naruto roared, he felt himself on edge. He wanted to rip him from limb to limp.

"I would tell you but I have to go! I'll see ya later!"

"Come back here you bastard!"

Tezo disappeared for the third time. He was fully gone into the thin air. Naruto growled out, he grew annoyed at the fact that they couldn't get to him.

"You guys can catch up with me later. I need to go check on Sakura-chan."

Naruto let Kurama take over, he took off down the dirt road. He would make it back to Konoha faster than they could. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he wasn't there to protect Sakura and his baby.

Tsunade had finally induced me into the hospital, it was for my health and my baby. I got so stressed out I raised his blood pressure as well as mine. Now I'm here lying in a hospital bed trying to get some rest. I have never experienced anxiety in my life until now. I found myself zoning out more than usual and I also was overthinking a lot of things. I tried to take a nap after the incident but I was awoken by a nightmare.

'I need to get out of this hospital.'

Everything about this hospital was making me feel nauseous. From the smell of sterilization to the smell of Akane's blood that was on the floor. I couldn't get that smell out of my nostrils. The same image replayed in my mind over and over. I couldn't sleep because my mind was racing with thoughts.

'Maybe food will help.'

I sat up in the bed swinging my feet over the mattress. I really needed some food, the hospital food that they were giving me wasn't doing enough for me. I rang the buzzer twice that led to the office where all the nurses were at. No one had answered. It was around 1 in the morning and that meant it was the graveyard shift and things were pretty much dead. There was only one option for me to take and that was escaping the hospital to get ramen. I quickly wrote a note explaining where I was heading then made my way to the entrance of the hospital.

The walk to the ramen shop wasn't that far. There was just something about walking at night that excited me. It was cool and the wind would blow in your face. It was perfect weather. Plus it was quiet and no one was out except for the partiers. The smell of ramen filled the air as the wind blew it in my face. I was nearly drooling at the thought of eating ramen.

"Hello." I walked into the shop waiting to get my order taken. I sat on the very far end so no one would bother me. Teuchi-san finally came out to take my order. I got the usual order that Naruto would get. The miso ramen with extra pork, it was now one of our favorite meals to eat.

"I would like it to go please."

Teuchi-san nodded his head with a smile. As much as I would love to eat my food out here, it's too dangerous and I needed to go back to the hospital before my chakra supplements ran out. I gladly took my ramen from over the counter. It was on the house, he said it was his way of congratulating us on the baby. The fact that Naruto and I were having a baby was no longer a secret. You could see my growing bump, he was actually growing really fast. I was happy with the fact that people knew. It took less stress off my shoulders.

I had finally arrived back at the hospital. I was greeted by some angry nurses but I quickly informed them that I was just out to fetch some food. I honestly don't think people understand that my baby has the appetite of a grown man. I quickly shook the thought from my head before entering my room.

"Sakura-chan!"

"Naruto!?" He was pacing the room back and forth. He still had on his clothes that were completely dirty from his mission. My first thought was to ask him to take a shower but I quickly embraced my blonde-haired boyfriend who was now sitting on the bed. He did the same as well. My emotions got the best of me as I began to cry into his jacket.

"I'm so glad that you're safe," Naruto whispered in my ear, he held me close while rubbing his hand down my back. It felt so good to be back in his arms.

"I'm so happy you're here. These last few days have been horrible." I started to break down in his embrace. If there was one person I could tell my problems to it would be Naruto. He was the only one that could make me feel better and bring a smile to my face.

"I know, I've been informed on everything. Why would someone do that to Akane" I heard the anger in his voice. I looked up to see his eyes. They were a darker blue than normal. This was a sign that he was on edge. He could blow a fume right now and it would take the rest of the night to cool him down.

I placed a chase kiss on his lips allowing him to calm down. He placed his forehead on mine. We both just sat there staring at each other before he took the ramen that I held in my hands. He placed the bag on the table, opening it so I could eat.

I quickly wiped my tears before making my way over to the table to eat. "Who told you?"

"Tsunade told me. I came home looking for you and she informed me of everything that happened. I'm sorry that I couldn't be here to protect you."

"It's okay. I feel better than you're here...can we talk more about it tomorrow? I've had a really long day." My voice was barely audible. I was just so emotional that he was here. I also didn't want to anger him more with the situation. He needed to relax and calm down before we talked.

"Yeah you finish your ramen and I'll go shower."

I nodded my head before finishing what I was doing, which was eating my food. Once I heard the shower cut on I quickly ran to the trashcan to throw up. This would be the third day that I couldn't keep anything solid down. It was a side effect of the chakra supplements. I had to rely on soups and apple sauce to keep food down. Even with the soups and things I was still starving.

The bowl of ramen just sat there mocking me. I no longer wanted the bowl of food so I tossed the bowl in the trash. It wasn't edible anyway some of my throw-up made its way in the bowl.

'I hate it here.

I climbed back into the hospital bed lying on my side. I patiently waited for my boyfriend to exit the shower. The wait didn't last long at all. I started to feel myself drift into sleep.

"You're going to sleep already?"

I hadn't realized when the shower cut off or when he came up to the bed. I guess I had really fallen asleep. I glanced over to the clock and it was already going on two in the morning.

"Mhm."

"This bed is only big enough for one of us so I guess this means we get to cuddle all night." I heard him giggle then slid into the bed. He quickly wrapped his arms around me gently pulling me into his muscular chest. "I missed this feeling". He found a way to put his head in the crook of my neck.

"Me too."

He bit down gently on my neck sending shivers down my spine. My hormones immediately sparked. I shoved my elbow in his rib cage making him whimper out loud.

"We're going to sleep. Good night." I turned around so he no longer had access to my neck. I placed a chaste kiss on his lips before snuggling into his chest.

"Good night Sakura-chan." His lips found their way to my forehead making me feel so loved. I felt her body relax underneath my embrace. I placed a few kisses on his chest before falling asleep.
