Hi

I awoke that morning with the feeling of Naruto's breath on my neck. He had one arm wrapped around my waist while the other one was on my belly. It was a comfortable position but I had to use the restroom. I was on the verge of making us both wet with my pee.

"Stop moving around." Naruto snuggled his face deeper into my neck.

"I have to go pee."

"Hold it."

"Naruto released me."

He grumbled under his breath before releasing me from his grasp. I kissed him gently on his cheek before walking to the bathroom. I didn't dare look in the mirror, I knew that there was going to be a scar underneath those bandages. My mom placed them on my neck last night. She said the cut wasn't as deep as she thought but it will leave a nasty scar. I still hadn't told Naruto about last night, hell I haven't told him about the chakra supplements I was taking. The thought of keeping this big of a secret away from him began to eat me alive. I knew this was the time to tell him.

I quickly did my business but I stayed in the bathroom to gather my thoughts. I didn't have time to think about what happened yesterday. I sat on the toilet to think long and hard about what Tezo told me. I tried my best to remember what he told me but I couldn't.

"Why can't I remember any of the conversations." I walked out of the bathroom 5 minutes later.

Naruto was now up, he sat near the edge of the bed with a toast in his hand. He offered me some toast from the breakfast tray that was in front of him but I politely declined.

"Your mom makes the best toast. It's so buttery." He smiled, I watched him as he stuffed his face with more toast. I loved that smile so much, I haven't seen it in a while. He had been gone for a while but now he was back. He was much happier than ever. I hated that I was going to be the one to make him unhappy.

"Do you remember what happened last night?"

"We must've had some amazing sex because I don't remember anything from yesterday." Naruto winked at me. I sat there with a blank expression before I slapped his head. Any other time I would have laughed but I wanted to be serious and he was making me smile a little.

"No you idiot, You don't remember fighting Sasuke last night."

"No, I fought teme last night?"

"Yeah, have you seen the living room?"

"No…what happened to your neck."

I touched my neck slightly, Naruto placed his hands over mine. I felt as he pulled the bandages from around my neck.

"What happened to your neck? This wasn't here yesterday." He touched my neck where the scar was. I gasped lightly as pain shot through my body.

"Don't touch it! It's still raw."

"What happened?"

"Someone cut it."

"No shit Sakura-chan right now isn't the time to joke around," Naruto growled, I removed his hands from my neck placing them in my lap. We both sat on the bed facing each other.

"I'm not joking. While you were knocked out a man came in here and sliced my neck." I couldn't look him in the eye...

"Who was it? Why are you so calm about a man walking in here and slicing your neck!?"

"It was the same man that killed Akane. He came here last night looking for Kato."

"Why did he cut you?"

"Well he didn't cut me at first but once I tried to resist him then cut me."

"Don't make excuses for that bastard!" Naruto seethed, he got off from the bed to pace back and forth on the floor. He used both of his hands to push his hair back from his face.

"I'm not making excuses! He wasn't out to kill me-

"Yet...Sakura-chan if he wanted to kill you he would have. He just wants to fuck with us." He stopped his pacing to look at me. He pointed his finger towards himself."Why didn't you come and get me!? Did he step foot in this house!?"

"He came in here last night. I was looking for my chakra supplements and-"

"Wait...why do you need chakra supplements? The only people that I know that take those are Choji and he barely takes those anymore."

We both stared at each other for a moment, Naruto was confused while I was too scared to actually tell him why I needed to take the chakra supplements. Many scenarios ran through my head of how this would play out. None of them matched how I was going to tell him now. I just sat on our bed and played with the bandages.

"Well spit it out already."

"Because of the baby," I said quietly...I thought he didn't hear me until his voice boomed throughout the room.

"The baby!? Do you know how dangerous those kinds of pills are?" Naruto shrieked, He started to pull on the roots of his hair. Then the pacing came back, I knew that he was about to freak out.

"I need the pills Naruto."

"Where are they?"

"Why!?" I also got off the bed. I walked over to the dresser where I kept my shorts at. I began to get dressed a little before I walked out the door. I also wanted to prolong Naruto from finding the pills.

I felt his arms wrapping around me. He placed some kisses on my cheeks. I didn't realize that I was crying until he wiped the tears from my face.

"I don't want to argue with you Sakura-chan. Just show me the bottle of pills that you're taking."

I walked out of the room with Naruto in tow. The pills were last where I left them. They laid on the floor near the wall. The same place where I was last night. I grabbed the bottle from the floor and gave it to Naruto so he could read it. I saw him eye me from the corner of his eyes. I turned my head from him so I wouldn't see his disappointed face.

"Sakura-chan, are you serious? Why are you taking these? This pill dosage is crazy? Do you know the cautions of taking these pills." he seethed.

"I need them for the baby. I don't produce enough chakra for him. I need the supplements so I won't die of chakra exhaustion. I'm not your mom, I'm a normal human and your son needs an amass of chakra."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I didn't want you to feel bad. Naruto, you love to blame yourself for things like this."

"Well, technically it is my fault. I'm the jinchuriki and now I'm passing the trait to my son. Now his mother has to take chakra supplements to not die. Let's not forget that she almost dies last night from a fucking slash on her neck!"

"It's not your fault."

"Then whose fault is it Sakura-chan?"

I stayed silent, I knew it wasn't his fault but at the same time, it was his fault. He gave our child this gene that made me sick. I would never tell him that to his face but he was the reason why I was so weak now. There's not any research on male jinchuriki's having babies, only female jinchuriki's. So it was hard for us to predict the future without knowing anything. My worst fear was giving birth like Naruto's mother.

"It's not my fault either," Kato said.

I glanced down at Kato who was eating a popsicle. He stood there with a huge smile on his face. I was too invested in my thoughts to realize that he was standing there.

"I wanted to be a part of the conversation. Sasuke-niichan said I wasn't allowed to come in the room."

"Why?", Naruto asked.

"He said that he needed some time alone...whatever that means."

"Have you eaten breakfast yet Kato?"

"I did, baa-chan fed me pancakes and they were so good! But now I'm bored. Can I play outside?"

"Sure you can. Go brush your teeth and then you may play outside."

Kato jumped up and down from excitement. Naruto actually smiled at Kato. He grabbed him from the floor and placed him on his back.

"We'll talk later Sakura-chan. I think I'm going to join you, Kato. I need to do a little gardening as a stress reliever."

"Why gardening?" Kato used Naruto's hair as a control system. Kato would pull his hair forward and Naruto would walk forward and he did the same backward.

"Because my usual stress reliever is out of commission right now." Naruto eyed me before walking away. I mentally rolled my eyes at my blonde-haired boyfriend. He could never keep things PG around Kato.

I also went to get dressed. A nice day outside would be nice. Plus the living room area had holes from last night and the couches were almost destroyed too. My mom had cleaned most of it up. The holes in the walls would have to be fixed another time.

We all walked outside where Naruto's garden was. Kato put on the overall's that Sasuke brought him. Kato saw Naruto gardening in overalls once and begged us for some. He looked the cutest, so I ran back inside the house to grab the camera.

"Smile Kato!"

He pulled the carrot out of the ground in time for me to take the picture. Kato put the carrot in the basket along with the other vegetables. This was actually Sasuke's garden, Naruto was in charge of the flowers. He didn't allow anyone to touch his flowers. He would often tell me that if touch his flowers he would die.

I walked over to him, he was down in the ground placing soil over his new flowers. I placed a hand on his shoulder to get his attention but he kept his attention on the flower ahead of him.

'He's ignoring me.'

"Baby" I whined, if he wanted to act like a child then I would too. I could totally win at this game.

"Yes, Sakura-chan?"

"Are you mad at me?" I began to pout as he did. I saw a small smile on his face, we both knew that I was using his method against him.

"No I'm not mad you did nothing wrong. I'm just irritated with life right now. It seems like nothing can ever go right."

I sat down on the ground next to him. I began to garden with him, I saw the scowl on his face as I touched his flowers.

"Listen, we've been through worse. We'll get through this."

"I know but it just feels different this time. I just have a bad feeling Sakura-chan."

"I know but we got this."

"You can barely take care of yourself. You have to take chakra supplements for fucks sake." He said under his breath. He glanced at the entrance of the house. I followed his gaze to the entrance and saw Konohamaru and Sasuke standing at the door.

"They're not that bad Naruto. I only take three every other hour then I'm fine." I whispered back.

"What happens when you don't take them? Or what happens when you need a higher dosage?"

"I'll be fine Naruto."

"You weren't fine last night."

I rolled my eyes at him. He gave me a fake smile before starting back with his garden.

"I'll be fine Naruto. Trust me. I won't allow anything like that to happen again."

"Fine, the only thing that matters is that you and I are safe. I won't let anything happen to you. I love you."

"I love you too."

He pulled me up from the ground to wrap his hands around my waist. He placed a loving kiss on my lips making me immediately melt against him.

"I'm so in love with you that it drives me insane."

I laughed against his lips. "Let's have a good day, no arguing or fighting. We've got everything out of the way. Tomorrow we can talk to Lady Tsunade about other options than the chakra supplements."

"Okay."

"Now get back to your gardening and I'll go make some lemonade and treats for you guys."

I grabbed the camera from the ground and walked into the house. Everything was spotless, well the couches were still messed up and the holes in the wall were still there but it was patched up.

"I fixed everything up. Kato told me about last night but I don't remember any of that happening. I'm sorry for upsetting you Sakura….and if you ever tell anyone that I apologized to you I will personally come back to finish you off."

Sasuke walked back outside where everyone was. I laughed at him. He was still socially awkward. It amazed me that he could hold a conversation with me.

"Thank you, Sasuke!"

"You're not welcome, Sakura." I heard him yell from the outside. I grabbed my chakra supplements from the table. I took four out of the bottle...I needed more energy. Lady Tsunade told me that if I felt less energized than the last day before then I needed to take more.

I forced the pills down my throat then I snatched the lemonade from the fridge. Snacks...I didn't know what to get so I got some of everything. Chips, biscuits, chocolate, and mini sandwiches that we made the other days. I think it was more of my craving talking because this was an unusual arrangement.

"The drinks and snacks are here!"

Konohamaru and Naruto were the first to run-up. They both went straight for the chocolate. I quickly smacked their hands. "Eat a sandwich before eating chocolate."

"Fine Sakura-chan."

"Where is Kato?"

"He's in the shed trying to find the hoe."

Konohamaru stuffed the remaining of his sandwich in his mouth. "I'll go and get him."

"Thank you."

Naruto and I walked back down where the garden was. We both had mini sandwiches in our hands. There was an animal sound that made us stop eating our food.

"What is that?"

"It's a messenger hawk," Naruto called out for the hawk to come down to the ground. "Hmm, I wonder what sensei wants."

I looked back over to the shed. Konohamaru and Kato were still in the shed. "Kato, have you found the hoe yet?"

"No, I'm still looking Sakura-san."

Naruto still held the scroll in his hands. He opened the scroll to read what was inside. I tried to look as well but he held it so I couldn't see it.

"Naruto Uzumaki, we haven't formally met yet but you will get to know me soon. I know your every move. We're going to have a blast."

Naruto looked down at the bottom of the letter. It was a picture of their backyard. An X was placed by the shed with a skull by it. It only took a few seconds for everything to register in the blonde's head.

'Blast, Skull, Red X, Shed…"

"EVERYONE GET DOWN!"

****I couldn't write this in Sakura's POV and it makes me so upset. I wanted to get everyone's POV**********

The shed had completely exploded, Naruto grabbed Sakura in time to prevent the flames from touching her. Sasuke pulled Kato away from the shed. He quickly pulled the little boy into his embrace. He placed Kato where his body was sandwiched in between him and the tree. The blast was so powerful Sasuke's head connected with the side of the tree leaving an indention in the tree.

Sakura quickly got up from Naruto's embrace. She began to scream out in bloody murder for Kato. She didn't know if he was dead or alive. All she knew was that she had last seen him at the shed.

"Kato! Are you okay!" She grabbed the boys from Sasuke's embrace. She held onto him tightly, tears flowing down her eyes as she placed kisses on the small boy's face.

"Sakura-san, I'm scared."

"It's okay no one is going to hurt you."

Naruto stood there in horror. His life flashed before his eyes. His family almost died in front of his eyes. His heart broke as he watched Sakura run towards Kato; everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. Sasuke laid there by the tree motionless. His face was so bloodied and burned that you could barely recognize him. At that moment Naruto knew how much his family meant to him. His heart ached as he heard Kato cry out loud.

Naruto could care less about the burns on him. His only concern was to get his family to the hospital. He finally got himself from the ground. He walked over to Sakura who was still holding on to Kato.

Sakura felt an arm reach out to grab her. She looked at Sasuke in horror, half of his body was covered in burns. The left side of his body was completely raw. Blood from his head was pouring down his face. It was mortifying to look at.

"Konohamaru…"

"Oh my gosh, where is Konohamaru!" Sakura looked around the yard for any sign of the boy. Her heart dropped as she looked at the burning shed.

"He pushed me out of the way before the blast came." Kato hiccups out, he was scared out of his mind. He held onto Sakura by her shirt. His face was on the side of her neck.

Sakura glanced back at the shed. It was completely on fire, she placed Kato near Sasuke and ran towards the burning shed. Naruto quickly grabbed her, pulling her back from the flames.

"You wait for help, I'll go in and help him."

Sakura nodded her head and ran back to her spot to heal Sasuke with the little chakra she had left. Naruto walked into the shed, it was completely covered in flames and smoke. He looked around to see if there was any sign of Konohamaru. His worst fear was that he was already burned to death. Boards began to fall on top of him. Naruto would scream out in pain as he felt a piece of hot wood fall on him.

"Konohamaru!"

Naruto was stepping over burning wood. The smoke was so thick and heavy he couldn't see or breathe.

"If you can hear me say something."

"Konohamaru!"

Naruto moved further into the shed. Naruto couldn't see so he used his hands and feet to feel around the shed. He felt around the burning shed until he felt Konohamru's hand. Naruto grabbed the boy just in time before the shed had completely collapsed. He pulled him to the outside, he immediately checked for a pulse.

"There's no pulse…..SAKURA-CHAN THERE'S NO PULSE!"

Sakura ran over to Konohmaru, she also checked for a pulse. His face was near the blue and his lips were also turning blue.

"Go inside the house and grab a blanket. He has a third-degree burn so he's at risk for infections. Also, there's a CPR breathing mask in the bag grab that as well."

Naruto ran off into the house to grab what Sakura needed. Sakura began to perform CPR on the young boy.

"Kato come here baby."

"Yes, Sakura-san."

"Are you still scared?"

Kato was sitting behind the tree with his knees pulled to his chest. Tears were falling down his face. Sakura held her composure but she wanted to hug and cry with him as well.

"A little but not a lot. I'm a big boy," he mumbled out, you could still hear the fear in his voice.

"And you're a strong boy, right? I'm going to need you to go over there to Sasuke and keep him awake for me. He's losing a lot of blood so when Naruto comes back I want you to grab some gauze and apply pressure to his head. "

Kato nodded his head. Naruto finally came back with the blanket and the manual pump. Kato ran to the bag and grabbed the gauze. He then ran over to Sasuke and did what Sakura told him to do.

Sakura instructed Naruto to move his body on the blanket. They placed him in the blanket, the last thing they needed was for him to get an infection. The burns were so bad that his skin was completely burnt into his tissue.

"Okay now place that pump over his mouth. Whenever I instruct you to pump, do it twice."

They began to perform CPR. Every other minute Sakura would check his pulse but nothing was there. It was a critical moment for her. She knew that the brain could only last six minutes without oxygen before brain damage occurred. So far it has been 5 minutes since they performed CPR. Sweat began to form on her face, she was losing energy fast. She didn't want to stop. She knew if she didn't then she would pass out as well. A medical shinobi was the last to die in the platoon.

She used her shaky hands to press against his cold neck. She waited 45 seconds before she pursued him dead. He was with oxygen for at least 8 minutes now. There was no telling how long he was without oxygen in the shed.

"Time of death 12:48 am. Cause of death: Cerebral hypoxia or carbon monoxide poisoning."

Naruto sat there in complete shock. He looked down at the young boy who he was supposed to protect.

"Is there anything we can do?"

"His brain has been without oxygen for too long. We've already made it past the eight-minute mark."

The door of the house was flooded with people. Medical shinobi came left and right. Sakura instructed them of the situation. Sakura told them that she had already pronounced him dead. They put Konohamaru on the stretcher before taking him to the hospital.

Shikamaru was the last to come to the yard. He caught a glimpse of the young boy on the stretcher. He couldn't take his eyes off of him. He walked over to the nurses who were preparing him for the hospital.

"Do whatever you have to do to save him."

Shikamaru looked down at his burnt body. He couldn't pull himself away from him. He felt as if he needed to be there with him. He didn't want to leave his side. Asuma instructed him to keep Konohamaru and Mirai safe.

Sakura pulled Shikamaru back from the nurses. They needed to go to the hospital. They had better equipment and every minute was critical.

"I'm going with him. Sasuke has to go as well. Can you look after Kato and Naruto for me?"

Shikamaru shook his head yes. Before Sakura could walk out with the nurses he grabbed her arm. "Don't make any rational decisions without me. I want to have a say in the process as well."

"I'm not going to think of worse but if it comes down to that I'll let you and Naruto handle it."

"Another thing, don't tell Kurenai anything. I don't want her to stress about it until the time comes."

Sakura hugs him before she follows the nurses with Konohamaru. Shikamaru walked over to Kato who was getting treated as well. He would've asked him if he were okay but he seemed fine. He had a lollipop in his mouth, the nurses even let him play with their medical tools. He glanced over to Sasuke who was on a stretcher as well. He was taken to the hospital too. Now that everyone who was physically hurt was attending too he turned his attention to Naruto.

Naruto sat on the steps of the porch with a blank expression. Shikamaru walked over to the blonde and sat next to him. He patted him on the knee to get his attention.

Naruto kept his gaze on the burning shed. His posture never changed; he sat there as if he was a bird in the tree.

"How are you feeling?"

"I don't have any feelings, I just feel...numb. I can't cry or get angry...I'm just numb. A normal person would be losing their shit right now but I can't."

"That's a normal feeling. You're just in a state of shock right now. Come on, we can't waste time here any longer."

Shikamaru pulled the blonde from his spot on the steps. They both walked to the outside of the house away from chaos. Shikamaru walked in the direction of the hospital. He noticed that Naruto stood in the middle of the road gazing up at the sky. "Come on, we have to get to the hospital."

"I don't want to go to the hospital."

"Why?"

"I don't want to be the one who decides if he dies or not."

"What are you talking about?"

I'm his legal guardian until he turns 18. That means they will come to me to ask if I want to pull the plug or not..."
