HI!

Naruto left my side again to go do some paperwork for Yuna. Apparently, they had wanted him to sign a paper saying that if Konohamaru didn't make any progress by a certain day then they would pull the plug on him. Naruto immediately got upset, he came back storming into the room. Curses words escaping his lips as he did.

"Baby calm down. What were your options?"

"They said if he doesn't make any progress then they would pull the plug on him. If he makes progress then they'll prolong his stay. What the fuck do they mean by progress!?"

"Well, how I have seen it, if they take him off the ventilator and he can breathe by himself then that's progress. If he can't then that isn't progressing, it's basically keeping a person alive who can't fend for themself. You wouldn't want him to suffer would you?" I placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him. I noticed his eyes were now a softer blue as he began to calm down.

"No...is he suffering now?" His voice came out so tender, I wanted to hug him so badly.

"Hmm, I'll have to look at the paperwork and see how much pain medication they are giving him but he's in great hands. I'm sure that he's comfortable."

"How would I know if it's time to...you know."

"You'll know baby. Trust me I've seen families go through this every day."

"But what if it's not the right choice? What if he doesn't want to fight anymore?"

"He'll let you know. You will know when he's tired but as of right now he's fighting. I can feel the determination radiating from him."

I began to stroke the hairs on the back of his neck. I could feel house tense. He was just from touching the muscle on his neck. He had so much on his plate and yet he still didn't complain. I wanted him to talk about it with me but I knew he wouldn't. He will just bottle it up to the point where he would explode. I have seen it plenty of times already. He promised me that he would work on it but it seems to me that he hasn't.

"I don't want to talk about it anymore if that's okay with you...I need to get out of this room. Why don't we go check up on Kato and Sasuke?"

"We have to wait for Lady Tsunade," I interjected.

I knew he had already made his mind up when he started to put on his everyday clothes. There was no need to argue with him when he already had his mind made up. "She can meet us in Sasuke's and Kato's room."

Nauto was ecstatic to see Kato. He was so busy dealing with Konohamaru that he hadn't had time to check up on him. I felt the same way as we entered the door to their room. I couldn't keep the smile off of my face.

Sasuke was now moving around his room and a white cast was still on his arms. The burn marks were still visible but they were healing nicely. Kato, on the other hand, was a bit quiet which was unusual, he would usually run into my arms for a hug or either try to play fight with Naruto. He wasn't trying to do that. He was self-isolating himself from everyone in the room.

"Kato did you eat today," I asked. I started to push down the stray hairs on his head but he gently smacked my hand away.

'Well that's odd'

Kato nodded his head no slowly, he pointed to the food on his tray. It was still full of food, his vitamins were still untouched.

Naruto was now by the bed as well. He pushes the food tray near Kato gesturing for him to eat. "You need to eat, it's getting really late outside."

"I'm not hungry."

"When was the last time you ate?" I sat down on the bed along with him. I opened the tray of food to see what they gave him. Kato was a picky eater just like Naruto so I knew what he loved and what he didn't like. "They have a steamed bun for you. It's one of your favorites."

He shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know? And I hate steamed buns now". He turned his attention to the sunset outside. I walked over to the bed where he was sitting to sit even closer to him. I grabbed his chin so we could see each other eye to eye. I knew the last time he ate it was when my mom came over this morning. I was just trying to see if he would be truthful with me.

"Kato, when was the last time you ate?"

"I said that I didn't know Sakura-san!" Kato spat out bitterly, I instantly dropped my hands from his face. He had the most daunting look on his face.

"Kato!" Naruto snapped, "Don't you ever raise your voice at Sakura-chan again. It doesn't matter who it is, don't you ever raise your voice at an adult who's trying to help you."

"Kato…." I sat up from the bed. I grabbed his face again but didn't look at me. His attention was towards Naruto now.

"No, Sakura-chan, he needs to apologize!" They were both staring at each other. An intense feeling was in the room for a split second but it had completely disappeared.

"Naruto." I quickly shut my mouth, there was no way I was going to interfere right now. As much as I wanted to take up for Kato I knew it was wrong for him to yell at me but Naruto yelling at him it'll only make the situation worse.

"..."

"Didn't you hear me? Apologize!" Naruto seethed, I pulled his jacket back so he wouldn't pounce on Kato. "Naruto calm down."

"For what!?" Kato screamed back.

Naruto ripped his grip out of my hand. He then marched over to the side where Kato was sitting. "Don't piss me off Kato. I swear to the gods that I will rip this room apart."

Kato looked back at me but not before rolling his small eyes at Naruto."I'm sorry."

"For?"

Kato huffed, "I'm sorry for yelling at you Sakura-san."

I shot him an intense glare but it wasn't as intense as Naruto's "I don't know where you got this attitude from but you need to drop it."

Kato scoffed, "Why don't you ask Sasuke-niichan!"

"That's it, Kato, Sakura-chan breaks her back for you and this is how you treat her. Go in time out right now! I'm tired of playing a good cop with you. If you wanted a mean Naruto then you got it."

Without warning, Naruto pulled Kato off the bed. He forced him to put his nose in the corner of the wall. As much as I wanted to tell Naruto to stop, I didn't, I knew that Kato needed to be punished. The whole situation felt so unreal, not once has Kato ever shown a mean side of him. He's never disrespected me, not once. Maybe Naruto and Sasuke. A tormenting feeling formed in my chest. There was no way I was losing my baby boy.

But then it hit me, "Why don't you ask Sasuke-niichan!"

"What is he talking about Sasuke?"

"The moment was right, Sakura."

"You asshole you told him didn't you!"

"Like I said the moment was right."

"That's complete bullshit Sasuke! You had no right to tell him that! He nearly lost his life, better yet he almost lost all of us and you just tell him that his mom is dead after all that happened. I knew you were fucked up but I didn't think you were that fucked up!"

"Sakura calm down!"

He was too calm about the situation and it was pissing me off. I wanted to rip that smirk off of his fucking face. If I weren't pregnant I would've smashed my fist into his throat.

"No Sasuke, I won't calm down! We discussed that we would tell him together. Now look at him, he's Sasuke 2.0. He doesn't give a shit about anything anymore. You can see it in his face."

Sasuke rolled his eyes at me, "It's a phase Sakura he'll get over."

"You nonchalant bastard, it took you 12 years to get over it. Let's not forget what you did in those 12 years."

"He's not going down the same path I went on."

"How do you know! Look at him, Sasuke!" I pointed over to Kato, You couldn't see his face but just by his actions he reminded you of how Sasuke was. A complete asshole. "Look how he just treated Naruto and me. You sat over there and did nothing!"

"I know because I'm going to be there for him, Sakura. No one was there for me so I'm going to make sure that I'm going to be there for him."

"Don't pull that card on us, we were there for you but you chose to neglect it. I refuse to allow Kato to do the same." Naruto quickly interfered, he was making a beeline for Sasuke but I stopped him. "He's not worth fighting right now."

"It's over now. Kato knows and there's nothing we can do about it. Like I said he'll get over it."

I scoffed because now he was sounding like a psycho. "How Sasuke and you're not over it. You're still healing till this day."

"I spent most of my time chasing after vengeance instead of healing. I won't allow Kato to do the same. He's just mad that he can't see his mom anymore but-" Sasuke points his finger over to Kato. He was squatting down in the corner with his arms around his knees and fresh tears flowing down his face. "- It does not give you the right to lash out on people. Been there done that Kato. It's not going to help the fact that you're angry. Don't push your loved ones away….Now I think you owe Sakura a sincere apology."

I held my arms out for him to come in. To be fair we were both crying. I was so irritated with Sasuke that I could just punch him through the wall. I hate that he has a nonchalant attitude, not everyone can take that kind of news and be okay. He of all people should know how much of a mental toll that puts on someone especially if they're a child. He had completely ruined Kato, who knows when he would be the same again?

I had grown such an emotional attachment to Kato and he wasn't even my blood son. I knew the day that Akane passed away that I would have to step up and be his mother figure. She didn't ask me to do it but it felt like the right thing to do. He was now a part of my family and when he hurts I hurt. I want him to grow up with my baby with the sibling bond that he has with Naruto and Sasuke.

"I'm sorry Sakura-san. I never meant to be mean to you."

"It's okay Kato, just don't ever do that again."

"I promise I won't."

I wiped the tears from his plushy cheeks. I could understand why he was acting too irrational, who wouldn't. He has no one left on this planet, and the person he does have left wants to kill him.

"Okay, I'm going to hold you to your promise."

Now we had to deal with Kato dealing with the loss of his mother. Konohmaru was basically on his deathbed. The baby has a toll on my physical and mental strength. A psychopath on the loose who wanted nothing better else to do than terrorize my family.

Kato and Naruto also apologized to one another. Naruto was still on edge about Kato's outburst but he seemed to let it go after a while. He and Sasuke were a different story, I had to sit there and listen to them send shots back and forth at one another. They were still going on about the fact that Sasuke told Kato about his mother's passing. Don't get me wrong I was still infuriated with Sasuke but my only concern now was Kato. I would handle Sasuke later.

Bang Bang

I glanced over to the door to see Tsunade, Shikamaru, and Kakashi sensei all walk into the room. They made themselves comfortable before getting straight to business.

Kakashi sensei was the first to speak,"So I heard about the incident that happened last night and this morning. Whoever the man is, he's getting into our village without our sensory team picking it up."

"It's his ability, he can disappear without a trace. You can't tell he's there only if you can touch him." I said a little too quietly. The conversation about what Tezo did to me was still uncomfortable for me to speak about.

"How did you know this?"

"He told me, Tezo is his name. He spoke about everything that he can do and he told me about his clan."

Kakashi sensei quickly took out a pen and paper, "What do you know?"

"Apparently they kill people in order to get their powers. That's why they're nonexistent. To my knowledge, there are only two of them left, Kato and Tezo."

"So they were all murdered?"

"Yeah I'm not sure who all murdered them but whoever did hold an amass of power."

"Isn't it obvious?" Shikamaru interjected.

"What do you mean?"

"The only people who are remaining are Kato and Tezo. Kato is the one we're hiding just think about it. If Tezo murdered everyone in his clan, do you really think he'll be after Kato?"

I began to think as well. The situation was becoming clearer as the puzzle pieces were coming together. "That makes a lot of sense, Tezo did mention how he got Kato to murder his brother and dad for powers."

Naruto shot up from beside me, he placed his pointer finger on his chin as if he was actually thinking hard, "Maybe his plan was to use Kato as a weapon of destruction since he was so little at the time. He then realized that Kato was too powerful to control so he stopped fearing that Kato would kill him next."

Kakashi swatted my boyfriend to sit back down. It caused me to stifle a giggle because he seemed so proud that he came up with a good reason. "That could be a good reason but why would Akane and Kato run away then?"

Shikamaru kindly asked for the paper in sensei's hand. He began to scribble some things down for quite a while before speaking again."They ran away so Akane wouldn't be the next one on Tezo's list. She knew that she was going to die eventually but she didn't want to die in the arms of her son."

Naruto shot up from the bed again, he peered over Shikamaru's shoulder to look at the notes as well. "That's a good point but why doesn't he just grab Kato?"

I took the pen from Shikmaru's hand to write the word stone on the paper. I gave him back the pen before walking back to my spot on the bed. "Kato could easily overpower him. He said something about needing a stone to take Kato back with him."

"Alright, so where is this stone?"

I glanced over to Kato who was now asleep on the bed. He looked so peaceful."I'm not sure but I know he's looking for a scroll and Akane mentions that there is something that could help us on the back of Kato's head."

"What is it?"

"I'm not sure maybe it can help to unlock his powers. Akane told me how she wiped his memory so Tezo could not use him for violence anymore." There was only one person who I knew could possibly help us with that."Do you think Ino could search through his memory?"

"She would love that. She's been practically begging to get some action." Shikamaru's whole demeanor changed when I said this. It was like he was waiting for the moment to come

"I bet she is." Naruto shot out, I quickly smacked his head twice." Now is not the time to make sexual jokes, you imbecile."

Shikamaru smirked, 'I see he's back to his old ways, He pushed himself from the counter he was leaning on, "I'll go and give Ino a heads up that you're coming over. I'll see you guys soon."

Lady Tsunade walked him out of the door. It was the only movement she made this entire time. "Good we'll be over shortly, I need to discuss something with Naruto and Sakura."

"Okay, you can just walk through the front door."

After Shikamaru left, we left the room to leave Sasuke to take a nap, he wouldn't be able to make it since his injuries aren't fully healed. It didn't matter because he was irrelevant as of now.

I reached out for Kato's hand, he only shook his head no. He had just awakened from a nap so maybe he was cranky?

Maybe I was overthinking it or maybe I was just crazy but Kato was most definitely holding some type of grudge against me. I saw it again once he entered the ultrasound room, usually, when I would go to these appointments he would sit next to me on the bed. Now he sits in the guest chairs far away from me.

'Why does he hate me'

"Alright, I wanted to talk to you guys about the birthing plan. What do you guys want to do."

I glanced over at Naruto who only shrugged his shoulders. If we were being honest we both didn't have an official birthing plan. "Well, I would like to give birth in a hospital with my mom there."

"Hmm well I would like that for you too but I don't think that's going to happen."

"Why?"

"With everything going on the last thing I want for you is to give birth in a hospital. I have already spoken to Kakashi and we think it's a safe route if we use the same place Naruto was born in."

Naruto quickly shut that down. I knew that Naruto would never allow me to give birth there."I don't know baa-chan…"

"I knew you were going to say that so our other option is to give birth in the Hokages monument or the underground tunnels in Konoha."

Here we go again with all of the crazy things that were happening with my pregnancy. If it wasn't one thing then it's another "Do I have time to think about this?"

"No really Sakura, We want to get that baby out of you as fast as we can. I'm just prolonging it until his lungs develop. It wouldn't be wise of you to go your full term with the effects you have now; it'll only be more fatal the more you progress. I know you're scared about giving birth to a premature baby, however, I was looking over your ultrasound paperwork and pictures. I can say that your baby is growing abnormally fast. You're five months as of now but your baby has the body and chakra level of a fetal baby who is 8 months. His lungs aren't developed. His heart, kidneys, brain, and liver are strong though."

I instantly felt nauseous. I think Naruto got the memo because he quickly grabbed a bag to throw up in. I couldn't even speak anymore so I left all the talking to him. "Wait, why is that? Why is he so developed?"

"I'm not entirely sure. My only guess is the mass of chakra he's receiving from both of his parents. Like I said it's hard to say as to why he's growing so fast or needs an amass of chakra to live. We've never had a male jinchuriki have a kid."

"Will this happen if we have more kids in the future?"

"I can't answer that question right now, we'll have to see after Sakura gives birth."

"When will she give birth?"

"The baby will let her know. He's going to get so frustrated with being in such a small place that he's going to want to get out of there."

She placed the ultrasound pictures in front of us to see but I couldn't bring myself to look at them. I have never felt so low in my life. How could I not even look at the pictures of my own child? If I were to be honest with myself I was completely terrified of my own child. I knew how it feels to be chakra less and on the verge of dying. Every day I will wake up and be scared not knowing if today was going to be my last day. Yes, I know I have the chakra supplements but they were barely working. I needed stronger dosage. Nothing is not going right in life!

"So it'll be like a normal birth but he'll just be born before his due date?"

"Yes and when that happens that's when the birthing plan will come into an effect."

I had finally regained myself well not mentally but physically. I had finished throwing up the contents in my stomach. It was probably the supplements from earlier. "We're going to need it highly secured. I don't want history to repeat itself." I muttered out.

"Right, I have already spoken with Kakashi and we are working on some high security so we can make sure that doesn't happen."

Naruto helped me lay down on the bed, he placed his hand gently on my growing belly. "If our baby has the gene that carries chakra from Kurama doesn't that mean someone could extra the chakra from him as well?"

"Yes but he is a baby so there is a chance that he will not have as much chakra as Naruto but with his mother having a mass amount of chakra and father there's no telling what could happen. That's why our safes route is to have a lot of security."

I placed my hands over my eyes, everything was making my head pound. From their voices to the lighting...just the topic itself. "This is giving me a headache. Can we talk about this another time? I'm starting to feel lightheaded."

"Of course. Would you like me to run some fluids through your body with an IV?"

"That would be wonderful…"

Shikamaru POV,

The walk back home was refreshing, the sun was setting and it was starting to feel cooler now. The breeze felt amazing, I was hoping that there would be a breeze today. It would always help with the cigarette smoke that was sticking to my clothes. I know I had promised Ino that I would stop smoking but I couldn't. After everything that has happened, I started to pick up on my bad habits again.

"Ino I'm home," I called out, I was walking into the kitchen to see that dinner was already on the stove. It smelt so good.

"You're home early."

Her delicate arms wrapped around my waist as I looked through the pots on the stove. I felt her soft lips place kisses on my shoulder blades.

"Yeah, I managed to slip out of Kakashi's grip. By the way, Sakura, Naruto, and the others are coming over. They need you to look through the kid's head."

"Really!?... Oh, before I forget a letter was dropped off for you."

"Hmmm, what letter?"

She handed me a scroll with my name written on it. 'How troublesome.'

"I don't know what he said, Shikamaru Nara."

I opened the letter to read what it had inside. My initial thought was that Kakashi was sending me on another mission but that thought quickly left my mind as I read further.

'Hello, Shikamaru we've met before, I'm sure that you have realized that I'm Tezo! Nice to meet you again! You're so smart so you've probably had me figured out already which is completely fine because I have you figured out as well. I want you to know that if you go meddling with stuff that your family will end up like Akane. You're already a pain in my ass so don't piss me off anymore. Anyway, kiss your son goodnight for me.'

"Fuck! Fuck! Ino where's Shikadai!?"

I throw the letter in the trash who knows what kinds of fucked up shit was radiating off of it.

"He's upstairs...why? What's wrong?"

"Fuck he smarter than I thought he was. He used the explosion to take my mind off my family and that gave him an opportunity to strike."

I ran out of the kitchen into the living room. Everything was fine, nothing looked out of order. My next step was to see if Shikadai was okay.

"Okay, who are you talking about?" Ino's voice was panicking, I could hear from a mile away.

"Someone who has no mercy on anyone. He's coming for all of us."

"Honey, you're scaring me!" she shrieked in my ear.

I ignored Ino's cries, I would have to explain everything later. The only thing on my mind was my son. I was such an idiot, I was so involved with what happened at Naruto's that I left my family unattended. I'm actually lucky, he could have killed them. But no, that's too easy for him. He likes to see people suffer, that's why he's been harassing Sakura and Naruto these past weeks.

My heart instantly dropped when I opened the door to see Shikadai in the room. His nursery was completely empty. A bloodthirsty aroma was surfacing in his room. I could see the sheer panic radiating from Ino's body. "Where is he!?"

"I left him right here. I swear I went downstairs to answer the door and I left him here to sleep!" She heaved out, There was no time for me to waste. I grabbed her hand pulling her towards our room. Each time she would whimper an agonizing feeling would appear in my chest.

We checked our room with no aid, he was not there. Ino and I began to check downstairs once again. I kept bracing myself for the worse. I wanted to tell Ino the same thing but I knew she would lose it.

"Shika, where is he!?"

"Calm down" I placed my hand on her cheeks to wipe away her falling tears. "What's one place we haven't checked yet?"

She sniffled, she rested her forehead on mine to collect herself. "The kitchen and outside."

"Okay you go check the kitchen and I got outside."

I placed a chaste kiss on her lips before running outside. We had a humongous yard, acres, and acres of land for the deer. But the sun was setting so it was hard for me to even look outside without a flashlight. We had two places that led outside, my office and the living room door. I ran to the side of the house where my office was. I turned the corner to see him lying on the patch of grass, he was still fast asleep with his blanket around him. My body instantly relaxed as I saw his calm face.

"Come on, let's take you to your mom before she has a heart attack."

Ino instantly pulled our baby from my hands, I couldn't count on my hands as many kisses she placed on him. I pull both her and Shikadai in my embrace. I took a moment to appreciate that my family was safe and Shikadai was still healthy.

"What's going on Shika? Who was that man."

"We're not safe here but we're not safe anywhere. We need to go stay with your parents, it'll be safer for Shikadai." I began to pull her upstairs into our room. I grabbed as many bags and suitcases that I could find and filled them with clothes."He toys with us. Only the strongest will survive at the end Ino."

"I noticed something about him. He only gives letters to people who he knows can't fight back. He's only targeting Kato, you, Akane, Sakura, and now Shikadai. I have a feeling that he's going to start taking them out slowly to get his message across."

"Are you saying that we might die!?"

"I'm not saying. I'm telling you that you are. He's coming for all of you first to fuck with us and after that, he's coming for us. We have to be prepared….."
