"Say that again!?"

Sasuke and I were in the same room as Kato now. He was sitting on the bench near the bed with his knees up to his chest. Naruto arrived shortly after with Ino and Shikamaru. They wanted to look through his mind but Kato said that he would explain everything to us if we'd just listen.

"I think the stone is in my neck. I remember Kaa-san said that there would be people after me because I have the stone in my neck."

"I remember Tezo saying something about that stone," I said. There was something he said specifically about the stone but I couldn't come to terms with what he said. He was so adamant about it and now I couldn't remember why.

"Yeah, if he gets this stone he'll be able to do whatever he wants."

Shikamaru huffed, "Did he tell you that? Did he say anything to you, Kato?"

"One question at a time, Shikamaru-san. My brain can't keep up. He told me that he needed that stone because he needed power or something. No, he didn't say anything to me. He wanted me to help kill Yuna-san. I didn't want to do that because I didn't want to go to jail."

"What else do you know kid?"

"I only know about the stone and that's it. I also know about the things that Tezo told me but I don't know anything else but apparently, they're after me because I have a certain ability.

Shikamaru gave him a nice pat on the back,"Don't worry Kato Ino can figure out the rest."

"Umm is this going to hurt?"

"No."

"Am I going to jail?"

Sasuke smirked, "We can't answer that yet."

Kato gasped for air. His eyes were wide and his mouth hung open. He crawled to the top of the bed where the blankets were to place them on top of his head.

Ino smacks his arm which gains an eye roll from Sasuke, "Sasuke! Can't you see he's already paranoid?"

"I'm being honest." An audible laugh escaped his lips. He pulled the cover away from Kato's head. Kato looked back at him with a blank expression on his face.

Ino nervously laughed, she sat on the bed next to Kato comforting him."This is going to take a while so if you guys want to go grab something to eat and come back that's okay with us."

Naruto shot up from his spot on the wall. This entire time he was completely quiet. "How long is a while?"

"I have to go through 4 years worth of memories so you take a guess Naruto."

"Uhh fine. Come on Sakura-chan, let's go."

Naruto grabbed my hand to lead me out of the room. Before he could pull me away I walked over to Ino and Shikamaru.

"Thank you, It means a lot."

"No worries Sakura. We'll take good care of him. You rest."

"Okay, we'll be back Kato and we will bring you some food as well."

"I'll be waiting."

I walked out into the hallway to see Naruto banging his head against the wall. I carefully placed my hand where the wall hit his head and hit my hand. He finally stopped once he felt my hands against his forehead.

He sighed, "I wasn't there to protect you and that pisses me off."

I placed a hand over my heart and to mock him. "Wow, you're finally opening up to me?" The sarcasm slipped off my tongue only to make him groan out loud. "I'm fine. Don't stress it, babe."

"Uhh, I'm not stressing about that. My day has been ruined."

"How?"

"I had something planned for you but it's already too late…"

He turned his body against the wall and slid down it. He had the cutest pout on his face. I wanted to squeeze his cheek so badly.

"It's never too late Naruto. What did you have planned?"

He crossed his arms over his chest, "It's a surprise but if you feel okay then we can still do it."

"I'm okay...let's go." I helped him off of the floor, well it was more of his doing but it felt good to seem like I was helping.

Naruto excused himself to go back into the room. He ran back intertwining our hands to lead us out of the hospital. We walked throughout town out to the outskirts of the village. We were still in town but it was calmer and realized out here. Not many people were out here nor were there that many houses.

"Naruto, where are we going? We are in the middle of nowhere." Our only surroundings were trees and the animal life that was around.

I grew curious as our journey continued, Naruto claimed that he wanted to show something that would blow my mind. Apparently, he said he had been working on it for over a year now which is hard to believe.

"Close your eyes."

"Fine but you better not scare me."

'What was he up to?' He was so giddy about something, his demeanor has changed tremendously since we left the hospital.

I placed one of my hands over my eyes, I allowed one hand to be in Naruto's so he could direct me to where we were going. We walked for another two minutes before we stopped again. "Hold on, I'll give you the okay to open your eyes." Butterflies were flying in my stomach. I was nervous to the point where my hands started to sweat. Naruto was always full of surprises and they have never let me down. Now I'm curious to know what he has been up to for a year.

"Okay, Sakura-chan you can open them now!"

I opened my eyes to see my boyfriend standing on the porch of a house. His arms were as wide as the grin that was on his face. It was a beautiful house that had two stories. A stone pathway led to the front door and flowers were filled near the porch. I glanced up to the top of the house to read the sign.

'Uzumaki's estate'.

"This is yours!?" I pointed to the letters on top of the house. It was written in bright orange colors but it complimented the house so well.

"No Sakura-chan this is ours. This is our new home."

"How...when? Why!?"

I was completely speechless...We had a house? He came down from the porch to embrace me. It gave me time to actually look at what was ours now. The gated fence with two big trees in the front yard. Near the tree were a swing and a picnic table.

"I've been planning this since the war ended. It had been finished for a month now but I was going to wait until the baby was born to surprise you. I want to move in today since you don't feel comfortable in that old place."

I jumped into his arms hugging his neck tightly, "Naruto this is amazing!"

"Do you want to see the inside?"

"Of course!"

I was so overwhelmed by this. I tried so hard to keep the tears in but I couldn't. This was so amazing. The inside was fully furnished and we even had a bigger backyard than at the old house. The kitchen was ten times bigger than our old one. We had finally had a place to call ours. Shinachiku has an actual home to grow up in. We were finally making progress in our life.

We stood in the living room. It was modern but it was beautiful, nothing too flashy. The window was open, it encouraged me to look outside into our backyard for the second time. There was another swing in the backyard. There was a hot tub but it wasn't complete. His garden was fully blooming as well.

"Naruto, can you believe it!? We have a freaking place to call ours!" I turned around to give him a big kiss but I saw him standing there. Tears in his eyes, his hands were also trembling. My heart dropped, he walked up to me. He kissed my forehead, making me feel those butterflies again.

"Baby what's wrong?" My breaths also came out shaky, I was nervous to hear what he was going to say. He was very emotional which was making his body tremble.

"Sakura-chan, you saw me at my worst and you still loved me. You've never judged me for who I am or what I did. I know that I can be an idiot sometimes. I can be a hard headed person at times which is annoying. You stuck with me, you made me a better man. You gave me the life that I have always wanted. You picked my head up when I was looking down. You tore down the balconies that people stood on to look down on me. I just wanted to say, home is not a place it's where the heart is. No matter where we are, you are the only person I want to come home to for the rest of my life. So Sakura Haruno '' I began to cry watching him drop down to one knee. Naruto never broke eye contact with me. He fiddled in his pocket to pull out one of the most beautiful rings I have ever seen in my entire life "..will you marry me?"

I threw myself into his arms, we were both on the floor crying our eyes out. I pulled myself away placing my forehead on his. "Really? You want to marry me?"

"You're the only woman that I want. No one can match the things that you do. You're so fucking incredible.'

"Yes! Yes! And Yes! I will marry you." I shouted out, he pulled me into another embrace swirling me around in the room. Both of our laughter filled the air, he placed me down to put the ring on my finger.

"Come're"

Our lips connected, it was nothing like any kiss before. Everything that has led up to this point was poured into the kiss and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"I love you.."

"I love you too, Naruto."

"One more thing, turn around."

My eyes darted to the other side of the room where my Mom, Dad, and Iruka sensei were standing. My mom and Dad both held pictures of Naruto's mom and dad. While Iruka sensei held pictures of Konohamaru and Master Jiraiya. My heart instantly shattered once I saw those pictures. I started to ugly cry in front of everyone, My dad was the first one to hug me, he was crying rivers of tears and so was I. We both held each other.

"I'm so proud of you. You've grown into a wonderful young lady."

"Thank you, dad."

My dad also pulled Naruto in a hug, He wiped the fallen tear from his face as well. We all had a big family hug that lasted a while.

Iruka sensei was the first to break the hug. He pulled Naruto and me into an embrace of our own."Congratulations you two. I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you...but Do you mind if I steal Sakura away for a minute?"

My mom huffed she side-eyed us for a minute before smiling. "Sure but don't take too long or else the food will get cold."

"Come with me."

I walked with him to a pair of stairs that led to the lower half of the house. It was more like a basement. He opened another door that led to another flight of stairs that went downwards. The room was lit up with lights. It looked as if it were a playroom for the baby. There was a crib and an adult bed. A rocking chair, even a mini kitchen area.

"Is this for the baby?"

I watched him scratch his head, he was most definitely up to something."Uhh yeah...It was supposed to be my mediating room but I changed it. It's completely soundproof. There's also one way in and one way out."

"Why? Why did you do all this?"

"Just in case Sakura-chan. I want us to be safe and I also want our son to be safe. If anything ever happens or you need to get away just come down here. This is our safe house."

"Are you scared?"

"No...I just don't want to lose you. I'm not scared of Tezo or any of them. I'm just scared that I will lose you. I don't want to lose you. I adore you so much that it drives me insane."

"That makes me happy. You don't have to worry, I know that you'll always protect me. Once this baby is out of me then I can go back to protecting you."

"..."

"Talk to me, please. I'm your fiance now."

Naruto chuckled, we both sat down on the bed that was in the room. "I keep having these realistic nightmares about you and the baby. They always scare the shit out of me because you guys keep getting harmed and I can't do anything about it. Sometimes I wish that we were in a different time frame, that way Shinachiku would not be born in this chaos."

I held on to his shaky hand in mind. He leaned over to lean his hand on my shoulder. I took this chance to embrace him the best way I could.

"Hey, I'm physically here now. You don't have to stress about your dreams, they're not real. The baby is fine. He'll be fine I promise...am I his mother after all."

"I trust you...I know you won't allow anything to happen to him."

"I trust you too."

We both stayed down there before our mom forced us to come back upstairs. We ate lunch with them before I grew tired. Naruto led me upstairs where the master bedroom was at. I didn't have time to look at how beautiful the room was once I saw the white pillows I was out like a light.
