Pairing:KolxOC

A year had passed - nearly - since the beginning of their whirlwind romance before she finally put her foot down. He had met her family and they had adored him he could be charming when he wanted, she was 45 % sure compulsion had not played a roll... maybe 49 %.

She had yet to meet his. He claimed they ruined everything. Determined to make a good first impression she declared she was taking cookies to the small family gathering. At the very least she would gain his nieces approval, Kol had jumped on board.

"Kol," she wiped a hand over her cheek, leaving behind a smear of flour.

He looked up from icing a gingerbread man to see her surveying the cluttered surfaces of her bakery, every counter covered in cooling racks. "What?"

"Are you sure your family can eat this many cookies?"

She knew there were a lot of them, but surely three hundred cookies were too much for six people.

"No," he picked up his finished masterpiece, crossing the room to stand in front of her. "These are just for us."

"Are you crazy?" Her green eyes grew wide.

"Well yes," he snagged her waist, "but that's a different

issue."

"We cannot eat this many cookies, her fingers curled around the straps of his red and green apron.

"Some of these have to go to your family."

"Call me crazy..."

"Crazy," she smirked.

He put the gingerbread man in her mouth. "I think I should be the only one eating your cookies."

She bit down, mumbling around the mouthful of gingerbread with a twinkle in her eyes.

"You do realize I sell hundreds of cookies a week

to complete strangers."

"Those ones are made to be sold," his thumb swiped the flour from her face. "These ones..." he bit the leg off the gingerbread man, "... are made with love."

"Excuse you!" She leaned back, tipping her chin up. "All of my cookies are made with love; that's what makes them so good. That and a load of butter and sugar."

"If you're intent on taking my family cookies then we shall have to make more."

"If we make more, are you going to claim them too?"

The edge of his mouth quirked up.

"You can't eat all of these cookies, " She sighed. "You'll get so fat."

"I'm a vampire, darling, I can't get fat, and I'm not the only one eating these," he grinned, popping a shortbread cookie in her mouth.

It melted on her tongue; she closed her eyes, savouring the sweet taste.

"I'm gonna get so fat," she groaned, looking at the cookies.

"Not to worry, darling," he smirked, "I have a wonderful method for burning calories." He swept a space clear and deposited her on the counter, fingers stealing under her skirt.

"This is not sanitary," a giggle bubbled up in her throat.

"Then I suppose it's a good thing these cookies are just for us."
