The next morning, I wake up to the phone ringing. I go into the other room and answer it. I'm also still waking up, too.

"Hello?"

"Did I wake you, beautiful?"

"Yes. What do you want this early in the morning?"

"Charley told me that you're in Chicago. Why didn't you tell me that you were going to take my bike?"

I growled a bit. He could tell I was irritated cause of the time of morning.

"Hey, take it easy. I was just asking. I know its very early and I'm sorry for calling and waking you up. I just wanted to hear your voice."

"I haven't had my coffee yet, that's why I'm irritable."

"I'm sorry, Michelle. Go make some coffee and call me when you're done."

"If I remember. I plan to take a shower, then go over to Rimfire and Christina's place and talk with Modo's mom more."

"Martha is on Earth? Does Modo know?"

"Yes and yes. He talked with her yesterday. He also talked with Rimfire's twin sister. Did you know that Vinnie has a brother?"

"Yeah, I knew he did. He just never mentioned Marcus much after we left Mars. Touchy subject with Vinnie."

"I see. I met Marcus yesterday, too. Nice kid."

"He is the more responsible one between him and Vinnie."

I had made my coffee while talking with my husband. I figured I could just drink it while talking.

"You know, you don't have to stay on the phone with me if you would like to go make your coffee."

"I'm making it while on the phone with you. I'm thinking about opening the garage for a few hours since I'm here in Chicago. Just so people can come get some work done and not get ripped off."

"Just be careful. There are some creepy people in that part of town. I don't know why Charley never moved her business to a better part of town."

I sighed a bit. Throttle didn't like it. He could tell something was wrong.

"Michelle, honey, what's wrong?"

"I don't know. I guess I feel like we left something unfinished yesterday when I left."

"We did. The fight we had. And I am so sorry for treating you the way I did. If I had pushed you to tell me what was wrong, you would have, more than likely, hit me, and I don't need you to hit me."

"I don't think I would have hit you, Throttle. I wouldn't want to screw up that handsome face."

"Awwww, babe. You are so sweet. I told Modo that maybe you were thinking of leaving me."

"He told you otherwise, didn't he?"

"Yes, he did. Have you talked to him about our fight yesterday?"

"Nope. I had a feeling that he would put you in your place when it came to me. He thinks of me as a sister. He knows I can fight, but when it comes to you and I, he steps in and I'm thankful he does. Sometimes you don't have a clear and level head when we fight, and sometimes it takes Modo to make you realize that. I love you and the twins dearly and if I ever decide to leave you and them, and I hope it never happens, but if it does, I want you to do what you feel is right concerning them. Whether it be terminating my parental rights or making sure we have shared custody over them. Understand?"

"I understand babe. I hope it never comes down to that, though."

"I hope it don't, either. I can't imagine my life without you 3."

"Well 4, if you count my mom. She loves you like a daughter."

"And I love her like a mom. I'm also glad she's allowing me to call her mom. She's helped me a lot since the boys were born. Taught me how to change their diapers and feed them."

"She's a great teacher. In fact, her and I were talking and she wants to get into teaching again. Before the war started on Mars, she was a school teacher. She'd like to teach the boys their Martian heritage. I told her I'd talk to you about it, cause I know you want them to have the same education you did."

"Yes, I do want them to have the same education I did, but I also know how important your Martian heritage is to you."

"I'd like them to at least learn the language. Maybe you could learn it too."

"Well, I have always wanted to learn another language, just never thought it would Martian. I was thinking something like Spanish or something."

"We could teach the boys some Spanish. Most jobs require that now."

"That's true, but how many people can say that they know another planet's language?"

"Good point. Should I go ahead and tell my mom that its ok to teach them the Martian language and teach them about their heritage?"

"Yes."

"Awesome! You're the best, babe!"

"I like to think so. I'll see ya sometime tonight. Love you."

"I love you too, Michelle. Stay safe. If you need help with anything, call Rimfire or Stoker. I heard that he went back to Chicago."

"I hope I won't need to call either of them, but if I can't handle the weirdos that come in, then I'll ask for help. You know me, pig-headed Marine."

"Heh heh, ain't that the truth."

"Well, I'm gonna go take a shower, then go open the garage for a while. I'll call ya back during lunch, ok?"

"Ok. I love you, Michelle."

"I love you too, Throttle. Call ya later." Then I hung up.

I washed out my coffee cup, then headed for my room to take a much needed shower.

A couple of hours into working, the phone rang. I picked it up and answered.

"Last Chance Garage. Michelle speaking. How can I help you?"

"Momma?"

"Tony? What's wrong?"

"Dad and grandma took Tyrone to the hospital."

"And they left you home alone?"

"Aunt Charley and Uncle Modo are here. Tyrone stopped breathing. I'm worried about him, momma."

"Why didn't your father call me?"

"I don't know, momma. I don't wanna lose my twin brother."

"I know you don't, Tony. Put Aunt Charley on the phone, please."

"Ok momma." Then he went to get Charley.

Charley picked up a few mins. later. "Did I hear Tony right? Tyrone is on the way to the hospital?"

"Yeah, you heard right, Mike. Tyrone has stopped breathing while Throttle was changing him. His mom told him to get Tyrone in the car and she would drive them both to the hospital. Throttle called me and asked if Modo and I could watch Tony til they get back."

"Keep me posted on his condition, Charley. Right now, I can't do much from here. I've been swamped with work since I opened."

"Now you know how I felt everyday. Oh, before I forget, you left your phone here."

"Yeah, I know. Throttle tell you about the fight we had?"

"I heard from Modo. He also said that you and Throttle left it unfinished, too."

"Yeah, we did, but he called me this morning and apologized. So, we're good now."

"That's good. He was moping around here after your fight, but since Modo talked to him, he perked up a bit but not much. He pushed his feelings down while taking care of the boys."

I've told him not to do that. He knows I hate when he pushes his feelings down like that. I can never get through his thick skull when he's like that."

"At least he's talking to you this time."

"Very true." I noticed someone walk into the garage. "Hey, I gotta go. Someone just walked in. Keep me updated on Tyrone's condition."

"I will, Mike. Later."

"Later Charley." Then I hung up.

I turned to see who had walked in. I also noticed the truck that was parked in front of the garage.

"Nice truck, sir. You build it yourself?"

"Yes, I did. I'm looking for Charley Davidson. Is she around?"

"Sorry, but she moved out of state. She lives in California now with her fiancé."

"Her fiancé wouldn't happen to be on the furry side, would he?"

I looked at him strangely. "You know the Biker Mice? How?"

"I met them when they helped me with Limburger and the Pit Boss some years ago."

"I didn't catch your name, sir."

"I'm Fourby. That truck behind me is Big Mo."

I shook his hand and introduced myself.

"Thornboy? I saw your name in the paper. You married Throttle, right?"

"Yeah, I did. He's a great guy, too. He's a great father, too."

"Congrats! So, Charley is in California now?"

"Yep. I just thought since I was in town, I would open the garage for a few hours. Is there anything wrong with your truck?"

"Not really. Just thought I'd stop in and see how she's doing since Limburger left."

"She lives a stress-free life with Modo now."

"That's good to hear. And the white, wild one? How's he doing?"

"Vinnie? He's dead. His wife is too. They were so depressed that they committed suicide after the loss of their daughter about 4 yrs. ago."

"I'm so sorry. Give my condolences to everyone."

"I will. Is there anything I can help you with, Fourby? Is the Pit Boss giving you problems?"

"You could say that. Everyone that works for him has come up from the pits and has been destroying everything in sight."

"I think I have the just the mice for the job. They just showed up recently. Give me a few to call them."

I walked over to the phone and called Rimfire.

"Hey Michelle. What can I do for you?"

"A friend of the Biker Mice stopped by and is looking for some help with Pit Boss's goons. You and Marcus wanna give him a hand? You can also bring Martha and Primer by the garage."

"It just so happens that Marcus' fiancé is coming with us. She just showed up about an hour and a half ago."

"Awesome!"

"She's related to Stoker."

"I thought Carbine was the only relative Stoker had?"

"That's we thought too, but her last name is the same as Stoker's."

"Well, the more the merrier at the garage. I'll see you all soon."
