That night, I took the stage with the band. I was a bit drunk, but not to the point that I couldn't perform. Just slightly. Throttle wasn't happy that I was slightly drunk, but there was nothing he could do about it. Unfortunately, Ty also saw me slightly drunk. Not my best moment, but I think better with a few beers in me. Its something that I never told Throttle cause he would make sure I never drank.
During the concert, I would cry a bit cause we played the instrumental version of one of the songs that Ian liked. I couldn't sing it without crying and Jake noticed. He walked up to me while he was playing and told me to take a break. I nodded then walked down the stairs and sat behind the stage. I sat down in one of the chairs behind the stage.
Silverdawn saw me walk down the stairs and around to the back of the stage. She walked around to the back of the stage and asked me if I was alright.
I looked up at her with tears streaming down my face. Silverdawn pulled up a chair next to me and asked me what was wrong.
I wiped my face with the back of my hand and calmed down a bit before I told her why I was crying.
"I was hit with quite a bit of news today, mom. I found out that my former bandmates' manager, Ian, had passed away last week and so did my biological father. I also found out that the drummer and bass guitar player are my biological brothers. Everything was just thrust upon me all at once. Its just too much to process, even now, when I had time to process the information."
"That is quite a bit to process, especially all at once. Does Throttle know this?"
"Yeah, he knows. He's not sure what to make of the information, either. He knew about the family that raised me. My parents and brother. I didn't know I was adopted 'til Sean showed me my original birth certificate with my biological father's name on it."
"What do you know about your biological mother?"
"Nothing other than what Sean told me. She gave me up for adoption and didn't tell my biological father."
"That's a bit cruel."
"You're telling me. I wish I had gotten to know my biological father. Maybe Sean or Seamus has pictures of him."
"Why not ask them right now?" She pointed to the stage. I looked up and noticed they were all taking a break before the next set. I also noticed they were all coming down the stairs and around to the back of the stage.
"Hey, you ok, chica?"
I smiled a bit. "Yeah, I'm fine, Brian. My mother in law came over and talked with me."
Brian held out his hand to Silverdawn. "My name is Brian. This is my brother, Jake. And over there is Sean and Seamus."
"Its nice to meet you, Brian. My name is Silverdawn. My condolences about your father. Michelle told me you lost him just last week."
"Yes, we did. I was glad that Jake was coming home in time to be by our dad's bedside. He wanted Mike to perform with us one last time. From the looks of it, maybe that was a bad idea."
I stood up and hugged Brian. "It wasn't a bad idea. I just didn't know that you guys were going to play the instrumental version of Ian's favorite song."
"My bad. I should have had you look over the songs for tonight."
I smiled. "Its ok, Jake. You didn't know. Can I look at the rest of the songs for the night?"
"Sure." Then he went back up the stage and grabbed the folder of songs we had done together.
It didn't take him long to get the folder, but when he came back down the stairs and around the back of the stage, he noticed that I was talking with Sean and Seamus.
"Don't get mad at us, but we have been following you since you got out of the Marines. It was something dad wanted done. He wanted to keep tabs on you."
"Why didn't you just walk up to me and tell me?"
"We didn't want to get hurt by you. We know you do MMA. We saw the live event in Utah yrs. ago."
"Since I didn't know who you were, you wanted to stay a safe distance from me. You could have told me you were fans. I love talking with my fans." Then I looked at my phone and noticed the time.
"Its nearly midnight? Isn't there a cut off time?"
"Yeah. The concert has to end by 2a. Its also when the alcohol cut off is, too. Why not join us back at the motel for a few extra drinks?"
"I don't know, Sean. Let me think about it, ok?"
"No problem, sis. We need to get back up on stage and finish our final set for the night."
"Here's the folder of songs for the night. There's even some new songs that we did after you left the band, too."
"We were surprised when Jake did the singing for the new songs. Could have sworn we had Chester Bennington from Linkin Park in our band."
I looked at Jake in shock. "You really sound like Chester? We need to do a duet with one of the new songs then."
"We can do that. I thought you knew I could sing?"
"Nope. You never told me you could sing. I can't wait to hear you."
I looked through the songs and I had to take out a couple that I knew Ian and Chet liked. I couldn't sing those and not cry during the song. I gave the folder back to Jake.
"I had to take 2 songs out. They were Chet and Ian's favorite songs."
"They loved all the songs, but they did have a few favorites. The 2 you took out were the last ones they liked. Let's get back up there and give the best and final performance we can tonight."
We each put a hand in and at the count of 3, we all yelled "Wolfpack 5". Then went back up to the stage to perform for the final 2 hrs.

By the end of the night, I decided to do a personal favorite country song by a band I love. This was a special song that I dedicated to Throttle. He had no idea that I was going to do that. It was a spur of the moment idea. I was shocked that the band knew the song, but I was also glad they did at the same time.
"As a special ending for the night, I want to dedicate this song, not written by us, but by my favorite Country band, Florida Georgia Line, to a special person who saved my life 16 yrs. ago. The song is called "H.O.L.Y". This is for you, babe." Then I started singing the song.
At the end of the song, we thanked everyone for coming out and having a good time and for supporting the small businesses that were here.
While we were packing up everything, we had people coming up to us and asking to have their picture taken with us. We were happy to oblige them. We love our fans. We even autographed their shirts afterwards. Jake gave them some swag bags that had their final CD, some band stickers, including bumper stickers and a T-shirt.
I looked at him after the fans left. "Swag bags, Jake? When you start doing that?"
"Just recently. We've been holding different contests on social media and the winners get swag bags with different things in them."
"That's cool. The fans love us and we love them."
"A lot of the fans had even posted questions as to why you weren't with the band. We told them the truth and that you would be back for the final performance."
"So, what you're saying is that the fans were waiting for my return to the band?"
"Pretty much. We were getting bombarded with clips of you singing. Even hashtags like #returnofmichelle and #wewantmichelle."
I was shocked. I couldn't believe I had a following after I left the band. I jumped down from the stage and everyone flocked to me.
I gave them all hugs and thanked them for such a great welcome back. I took pics with everyone individually and one big group pic, too.
This was the best night ever. What made it better was that I had recognized an old Marine Corps. buddy. I gave hugs to a few more fans then told them that I have to finish helping my band pack up.

When we got back home, I headed for the bathroom to take a shower. After the night I had, all I wanted to do was take a shower and go to bed, even though I might not get enough sleep cause of the time.
By the time we got everything packed up, and Sean asking for me to come have a few drinks with everyone and wanting to get home for a warm shower, I was dog tired. Throttle told me I could go have drinks with the band and I told him that while I appreciate that he was gonna let me go with the band, I needed a shower and a good night's sleep.
I found out that the band is gonna be in town the rest of the week. I told them that maybe I'll meet up with them later in the day. They were fine with that. I got caught off guard when both Sean and Seamus gave me a hug.
