The following day, Throttle and I went to our psychologist appt. He still didn't see a reason to go, but if it meant helping his wife, he was going to do it.
They spent a total of 2 hrs. with the psychologist. They talked about the problems I have been having and causing. During the 2 hrs., Tony called me and I put it on speakerphone. I wanted the psychologist to hear from my son, too. We couldn't believe that he apologized for the mess he caused and wanted to fix it ASAP.
It brought tears to my eyes and both the psychologist and Throttle noticed.
"We'll talk more later, Anthony. We're just glad that you are finally doing the right thing."
"It took Uncle Modo to make me really understand what I had done to the family. I still wanna live with them. I like the school I'm at."
"Like I said, we'll talk more later."
"Ok dad." Then Throttle hung up.
"Well, I'm glad that problem is taken care of. How long was that going on for?"
Throttle and I looked at each other then at the psychologist. "12 yrs. That's how long it took for him to realize what he's done to the family."
"He rebelled against you when he was 4yrs. old? Boy, they start younger and younger."
"They matured a lot faster than Human children. They're now 16 and Tyrone loves travelling with us during the winter."
"You both travel during the winter?"
"Yes. I'm the Blackhawks manager and my husband is the assistant manager. Ty has been travelling with us, as well. He learns science and math by watching the games. He also gets to be on the ice with the team before the games start, so he gets his P.E. in too."
I think we're done for today. I'd like for you to come by yourself from here on out, Mrs. Thornboy."
"Not a problem. Thanks for helping me explain my illness to my husband, doc."
"I'm glad I could help. I'm also glad that you 2 are going to talk with your son. 12 yrs. is a long time not to talk."
"I agree. Thanks again, doc. See you next week?"
"Yes. How does 1p on Tuesday sound?"
"Fine with me. I'll see you then." Then Throttle and I got and left the psychologist's office.

When we got home, I couldn't wait to tell Silverdawn the good news. I know Ty might not be happy, but I think Silverdawn will be. I could tell that she misses Tony as much as I do, if not more than me. Ty, on the other hand, cut his brother out of his life completely.
After Throttle parked the car in the garage, I got out and ran into the house. I was in a good mood, too.
Silverdawn was sitting on the sofa watching tv, when I walked into the living room.
"I thought I heard the garage open. How'd the therapy go, sweetie?"
"Good. The psychologist helped me explain everything to Throttle. I've been diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. It explains all the problems I've had over the years and the threats of divorce. I'm being prescribed meds for my illness."
"I'm glad. What else did you 3 talk about?"
I waited to tell Silverdawn the good news 'til Throttle came in and sat down next to me. I was so happy that I was bouncing on the couch.
"Someone is in a good mood. Why is that?"
"I can't say yet. I'm waiting for Throttle to come in. We wanna tell you together."
As if on cue, Throttle walked in and sat down next to me. He wrapped his right arm around my shoulders and brought me closer to him.
"You didn't tell her, did you?"
"Nope. Was waitin' for you."
"Tell me what, Throttle?"
"Tony called Michelle while we were at the psychologist appt. He wants to be back in our lives again. Modo straightened him out. He still wants to live with them cause he likes the school he's currently in."
"That is great news! I'm so glad that he wants to be back in the family. Tyrone might not be happy about it, though. He completely shut out his brother from his life."
"We know he did. We're not happy about it, but it was his choice."
I looked at Throttle, who looked back at me. "One of us needs to tell Ty about Tony wanting back in our lives."
"He's not going to be happy."
"I know, but he should be told."
"Then I'll go upstairs and tell him. If you do it, you might come back down depressed and leave again. I don't need or want you to leave. I'm afraid you'd never come back."
I smiled then gave him a kiss. "Then go tell him. I'm gonna give your bike a wash and wax."
"She's your bike, Michelle. I've been meaning to tell you that she wanted you as her new owner. She took a liking to you the first time I left her with you."
I gave Throttle another kiss and hugged him. "Thanks, handsome."
"You're welcome, beautiful." Then he got up and headed upstairs to talk with Ty about his twin brother. I stood up, stretched a bit then headed back out to the garage to give my bike a washing and a waxing.

While I was waxing my 2-wheeled baby down, my phone was buzzing in my left back pocket. I took it out and didn't recognize the number, but answered it anyway.
"Hello? Michelle Thornboy speaking. Who is this?"
"This is the Chicago Police Department. We were inquiring about the attempted assault about a month ago. Did you still wanna press charges on your attacker?"
I went completely blank for a min. then remembered about the attempted assault by Shawn.
"Yeah..yeah, I do. I do apologize for drawing a blank a few mins. ago. I had totally forgot about my attempted assault. I want him punished to the fullest extent of the law."
"Ok. You will need to come in and write out a confession on paper so we can submit it. You may or may not have to appear in court. We will let you know."
"Thank you. I will be there soon." Then I hung up. I put my phone back in my pocket then went inside to tell Throttle where I'll be.
After I walked into the living room, I saw a look on his face that reminded me of how I looked when Tony turned on me.
"I don't like that look, Throttle. What happened?"
"Have a seat and I'll tell you. I'm not happy with Ty right now."
I sat down and he told me what Ty said to him. To say I was pissed, would be lying. I was livid. I looked upstairs and yelled out to Ty to get his ass downstairs.
Ty could tell by my voice that I was pissed. He came down and didn't say a word 'til he sat down.
"Can I explain before you tear into me, mom?"
I nodded and let him explain. He didn't have much to tell me but I heard him out, regardless.
"Your father still isn't happy with you, Ty. Tony is your twin whether you like it or not. He plans to stay with your aunt and uncle 'til he's done with school. I do expect you to talk with your brother at least once a day. I mean it, Ty. Your father and I have been no contact with Tony for 12 yrs. cause that's how he wanted it. You have no idea what that did to me, son. I was very close to hitting your father cause he wouldn't let me leave for a while."
"I didn't know it hurt you bad, mom. I also didn't know that you lashed out at dad to the point you almost hit him."
"I had a breakdown cause I missed having your brother in our lives. He called me while your father and I were at our psychologist appt. yesterday."
Ty looked at me weird. "Why were you and dad seeing a psychologist? You 2 aren't crazy."
I smiled. "I was diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. It doesn't mean I'm crazy. It means my body is out of whack and that I don't know what I'm doing sometimes. The 10 yrs. I was gone is a good example of my Bi-Polar Disorder. Your father doesn't know this and he's about to, but I had "those" kinds of thoughts the day I left the beach. I wanted to take the biggest rock possible and carry it out to the ocean 'til I drown. I didn't want to live knowing that one of my children hates me."
Throttle looked at me and couldn't believe what I just said. "Why didn't you tell me you were thinking along those lines that day you threw your ring in the sand?"
"Cause I didn't know how to tell you that I had "those" kinds of thoughts. I'm sorry, Throttle." Then I looked at Ty. "I'm also sorry, Ty. Forgive your screwed up mom?"
Ty hugged me then gave me a kiss on the cheek. "You're not screwed up, mom. You got help before something bad happened. I forgive you, too."
