The boys and I decided that we would walk to the ball field instead of drive. It was a nice day out. We lived about 3 blocks from the ball field, so why not walk?

On our walk to the ball field, Richard was telling us that he wanted to change his name. Ty and I looked at each other then at Richard.

"Why?"

"Dad told me about what his family traits are. That the children are named with the first letter of the last name."

"Yeah, I know that too. Hence why Ty and Tony both have a "T"."

"But, isn't Tony's full name Anthony?"

"Yes, but Tony is short for Anthony."

"What name were you thinking about, bro?"

Richard thought about it for a few mins.

"It's a toss up between Taz and Thor. But I don't see how either sound good with my middle name being Alexander."

"You can change your middle name so it fits with whatever name you decide to choose. We will have to reissue a new birth certificate with your new name though."

"That's fine, mom."

"Both of your brothers have a "T" middle name if you wanna go that route, too."

"It's a thought. Thanks mom."

As we were walking into the ball field, I noticed that Throttle was practicing his pitching. The boys noticed it too.

"I didn't know that dad played baseball, mom."

"I didn't either, Ty. Wonder if he did while was growing up?"

"I thought you said he was abused growing up?"

"I did, but he had some good times with his dad, too."

"That's hard to believe, mom."

"Hard to believe that your grandfather would abuse your father or that he was nice?"

"That he would abuse dad. He seemed so nice. Like he wouldn't hurt a fly."

"He tried to kill me a couple of times while I was pregnant with you and Tony."

The boys stopped dead in their tracks and stared at me. I stopped just a couple of feet ahead of them and turned around.

"Its true. Ask your father. I had been rushed from Mars back here and to the hospital. Your father was afraid to lose me, you and Tony. Vinnie told me that your father had fire in his eyes but Vinnie managed to keep your father from going after your grandfather."

"I think I'll keep that info to myself. Dad looks like he's in a good mood right now. I don't wanna piss him off."

"Smart idea." Then I snagged the ball from Throttle's hand with my tail. He looked at me and smiled. After I dropped the ball, I grabbed him with my tail and pulled him closer to me. I missed his arms wrapped around my waist.

"Mmmm, missed you beautiful." Then he looked over at the boys. "I missed you boys, too."

"So, I have some bad news. I have to go to Camp Pendleton at the end of the week and pick up Tony along the way. I want you back at the house while I'm gone. The boys need you."

"They need you too, babe."

"I know, but I have to train the new recruits, including Tony."

"I can hear him now bitching about how hard the training is."

"I can too, but I hope he goes all the way and graduates. My PT isn't easy. I had Modo try some of the PT and he had a hard time doing it and he's in really good shape."

"Even the fittest person can't handle your training."

"Exactly. How you been since your mom passed?"

"Its been hard. That's why I stayed away from the house for as long as I have. You know how I am, so I thought it was best to not be around."

"But its been 2 yrs. since she passed. Its also how long you've been away from the house and from your family. I haven't been able to sleep right since you haven't been home. This whole time you didn't even bother to call to let us know you're ok."

"Dad, mom has been going out of her mind worried about you. I don't blame her for tearing into you right now."

"I don't blame her either, Ty. I haven't been much of a father or a husband these past 2 yrs. since my mom passed. I am so sorry to all of you." Then he looked at me. "You're right. I should have called while I was staying here, and I didn't. I made you worry about me. You have enough grey hairs."

"Says the guy who still looks like he's in his 20's. That is so not fair."

"Can't help it I still look this good." I stuck my tongue out at him.

He knew I was playing. Even with the grey hairs, I still looked good, too. But Throttle doesn't have a single grey hair on his head and he's at least 10 yrs. younger than me. I had released Throttle from my tail and my embrace while we were all talking.

"How about a game? 2 on 2?"

"You and I against the boys? That's not fair. Neither one may not know how to play."

"I know how to play, mom. My biological parents let me play different sports while I was growing up. My heart was in baseball more than anything. I played a lot of school sports."

"I'm not into sports much, mom. I'm a musician, remember."

"That reminds me. I have been so busy with everything that I totally forgot to call my bros."

"I called them a while back, mom. Hope you didn't mind."

"Not at all. They're your uncles, Ty. You can call them anytime you want, just make sure you let me know first. Ok?"

"Of course mom. They've been a big help, too. I've learned a lot from them. While you've been busy with training the new recruits and hockey during the winter, Uncle Sean and Uncle Seamus have been coming to visit. Your other friend, Jake, has been coming too."

"That's fine, Ty. The 5 of us, before Brian did what he did to me, were a tight knit family. I heard Brian is never getting out of prison for raping me. I also heard that he got what he did to me. The inmates don't like rapists and pedophiles coming into the prison. They give those types the same thing they did to their victim. Maybe I should call Sean and Seamus to see how they are doing."

"They're coming by to give me another guitar lesson in about 2 hrs. They would love to see you again. They ask about you while they are giving me lessons."

I smiled. I love my twin brothers. "It'll be nice to see them again. Your grandparents on my side would have loved both of you and I think they would have loved Tony, too. The one thing I didn't tell you about your grandparents on my side is that your grandpa Chet was married to Grandpa Ian."

"Grandpa Chet was gay, mom?"

"Yeah. Would you have had a problem with that?"

"Not at all. I wish I could have met them. Bet they were nice."

I smiled again and nodded. "They were strict on your uncles and I, but they also loved us very much. I think they would have spoiled all 3 of you…a lot. They gave your uncles and I everything we wanted."

"Sounds like they were very rich."

"They were. Even though I got everything I wanted, I still chose to work to earn my own money and to gain experience. The one thing I did leave behind when I moved away was my custom-made motorcycle from Harley-Davidson."

"It wouldn't happen to be red with ice blue flames, would it, mom?"

I looked at Ty strangely. "Yeah, it would. How do you know that?"

"You didn't notice it sitting in the garage? Uncle Seamus brought it for you last time they were here."

"How did I not notice the bike? Guess I was more focused on your father. Your grandpa Chet has a friend named Jack who is an inventor, but has a knack for blowing things up. He helped me with the design of my bike before I submitted it to Harley-Davidson. It even has an A.I. in it."

I looked at Throttle. "You can have my bike since yours seems to want me as her owner now."

"I can't take your bike, love."

"You need a bike, Throttle."

"I can still ride Lady. She still let's me take her for a ride. I'm good for now."

"You sure? You might like the feel of mine. At least take her for a ride."

Throttle smiled and kissed my cheek. "Ok. I'll take her for a ride. Red with ice blue flames, huh? Awesome color idea."

"Thanks babe."
