The witch's message never stopped there. Harry and Hermione were astonished by Kreacher's memory. What they saw was unbelievable. They were frightened by a vision, an enormous dragon was chained by the knights and imprisoned in the dark dungeon and the image disappeared soon. Harry wondered if they were traveling back to the Middle Ages, they were walking now on the cobblestone street, people passing by were clad in a tunic and leggings. Then a woman, who wore a flowing gown with a tall steeple hat, gave a shrill cry. Hermione glanced back cautiously checking nobody would attack them. Then the woman vanished, a bulk of shadow covered the cobblestones ominously. Harry looked up at the sky above. The King Dragon opened his mouth to expel jet fire and it burnt all on the ground. The same woman with a tall steeple hat came out of the ruins holding a scorched doll. Hermione whispered next to him,
'I can't keep this...'she buried her face in her hands.
Harry found it that it was a human baby. "Whose memory?" he asked.
Welled up with tears, Hermione answered, 'I think it is hers, Professor Evans's.'
'Can't be. She is not in the Middle Age...was she?'
'Your guess is right, Harry. She lived in the Middle Age. I don't know how she has come back to this era, she lives now.'
'Or, she must be a monster or something, a creature we can't get at all. I saw her in my dream, in front of the gate, I meant the place where Sirius had gone forever.'
'You saw her in your dream?'
'And Sirius was chasing after her.' While explaining about his dream, he had a little hope that his godfather would come back from the Veil. 'What if Sirius could come back as well?'
'I'm sorry but your expectation sounds quite unreasonable. Look, this is the end.'
Kreacher walked closer to them and bowed on the beach. He pointed to a stranded ship beyond the giant rock.
'That might be our next destination.' Hermione said.
'Yeah, to the same shore where we were forced to sleep.' Harry nodded.
When they finished watching the silvery memory, McGonagall poured tea to cups for everyone and urged Harry and Hermione to drink. Ginny passed a basket of biscuits. Harry told her thank you and ate it. Tasting its almond flavor, he thought over who would be the best to assist them.
'We will be back to the shore. I ask Ron to tell Charlie and his best team to support us.'
'So we will investigate the shore, all D.A. members?' Neville got excited.
'Well, yes, if Head Mistress would let us...' Harry couldn't avoid seeing Ginny's pleading look. He was sure McGonagall would tell her not to go. But his relief was not guaranteed.
'Mr. Longbottom, you stay. Professor Sprout needs you to help preparing for her lessons. With Charlie Weasley, his brother and sister will be safe, I'm sure. I trust in his team, he is professional around dragons. So you and Miss Granger will be safe as well, Harry.'
'We will work behind the lines, with constant vigilance this time, Harry.' Dedalus promised.
Walking down the corridor, Harry tried to catch up with Ginny who hurried to the guest room with Ron.
'What are you thinking, Ginny?'
Ginny glanced back and folded her arms listening to what he said.
'You must study here. It will be a dangerous mission. Remember, their magic was powerful.' Harry tried persuading her not to go with him.
'McGonagall is sure I'll be much help. She changed school scheme after we got through the Battle of Hogwarts. Now we know Evans, I mean, Professor Evans is a fake one, we should make sure what she is up to and stop her.'
Ron stood by his sister, too. 'Don't mind, Harry, Ginny is...you know her. She'll survive. Charlie and his men will protect us.'
The door was opened and Charlie and his men welcomed them. Excitement filled the air and everyone left for the school gate with their brooms.
Hermione halted them, 'Wait, where is Luna?'
Ron shrugged, 'Don't know, but she is okay, Hermione. Kreacher made sure she was alright there. I reckon she is looking for Nargles now.'
Explosion, exposition, experiment, punishment, sentiment, predicament and disappointment. Professor prefers Ginny to me. I know her secret. She is Morgana, Merlin's nemesis.
Friendship, lordship, partnership. Lord Voldemort was defeated by Harry. My father betrayed him. Harry is hers. She is his. I am alone. Neville falls in love with plants. He thinks I am a strange girl. I am alone. Ron is funny but he loves Hermione. My father betrayed them for saving my life.
Professor Evans, I believe in you. You understand me. I help you to achieve your purpose.
When Luna woke up, she noticed her limbs were numb with something magical. Only her face was normal, so she tried bending her eyes to her feet to find her wand. It was there. Breathing in, she tried to stretch her legs to catch it using them like a tongs. But her effort was in vain. Her legs didn't move at all. She wondered why Professor Evans wouldn't come to save her. She still believed in Morgana Evans. Poor girl! She missed her lost mother. She saw her mother in Morgana Evans. She and her mother were the best friends. They loved magical creatures, so did Morgana. Evans was her new teacher, she told her everything about dragons.
Before asking Kreacher to take her to the safer place, she knew what Professor and her companion were up to. She was astonished by her mentor's extreme magical power, her song. Without house-elf's magic, she must have been cursed as well. That's when she decided to stand by Morgana. The time when she felt friendship among the D.A. members seemed to be fantasy.
Time passes, people will change their minds.
She was not sure if friendship existed. She had void in her mind. She was starved for affection.
