Okay so I've just realised that the ch92 before was actually supposed to be ch93 but I posted it wrong so now I'm posting ch92, 93 and 94…

Issy grinned. She had her name and patch. The pressure lessened slightly and she was excited for her captain duties again.

Josh came over and peered at the design after she had ripped the page out of the book. "Is that a tattoo?"

"That's a squadron patch." A voice said behind her.

She turned to see Eric. His hair was a bit messy, probably from the wind. "Catch up did you?"

He rolled his eyes and ignored her, gesturing to the bottom banner. "So that's your motto?"

"What's a motto?" Josh asks with a grin that widens as Issy smiles back.

"Nothing. What's a motto with you?"

Eric sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose as Josh and Issy dissolve into giggles. "Children…" Eric watched them giggle for a while longer. "Are you both serious?"

"Oh c'mon Eric," Josh started. "Tell me that didn't tickle you just the smidge."

"It didn't."

While Eric was answering Josh's persistent questions, Issy watched the bicker. She didn't know what pushed her to do it. Maybe it was the fact that she was hyper from creating the squad patch perfectly. Issy poked Eric on the nose. Josh stop his questions as Eric froze and slowly turned to face her. Issy giggled quietly. When Eric did nothing but glare, Issy poked him again, this time on the cheek. And giggled again when his glare hardened. Josh looked between the pair before he burst out laughing.

The next day Issy had scanned the image and uploaded the image onto the app that Clark had shown her. She typed in the name too, before sending the design off to Christina so that she can start making the patches for her squad. Issy had also added the picture to the squad's group chat and it was then that all of them made a discovery.

Written in italics underneath a date, which was the day that she had accepted the promotion, Clark had left the group chat.

"What?" Issy gasped and watched as the complaints rolled in.

Billy: Why the hell has the old goat left?

BD: Maybe because he's not the captain of the squad no more?

Issy typed in her reply: It doesn't matter if he's not the captain anymore, he's still part of the 226. We're family and you can't leave that shit.

Rainbow: I agree with Beta. Someone add him back in.

Someone does end up adding him back in and it shows that he's typing.

Clark: Really guys?

Cutie Pie: Yep. You're part of the pack. You ain't leavin even if you ain't captain no more.

Issy rolled her eyes in amusement as Clark started ranting at how they were all dorks and how Red responded with we are your dorks with a heart emoji. Honestly, he wasn't lying. She didn't have training today due to Clark's wife having an appointment at Erudite and Harrison was busy. The Leader and Clark make the decision not to allow Eric to train her for her captain duties.

Smart move.

Instead Issy went to the training room. After initiation finished, Issy had gotten into a routine of a run in the morning – depending if she was on morning shift or not – and then went to the training room for at least half an hour to keep her fitness up. Lately, especially since the trip to Amity, she's stopped her routine. Now is the bestest time than any to get back into it.

Since Clark is no longer captain and Issy is technically captain-in-training, the whole squad have been taken off the rota so that Issy isn't swamped with stuff she's supposed to learn and the squad can work with Issy to settle into how she will run things. The time off often leads to Issy seeing them in the training room and each time there's a sliver of an idea forming in her head. Once she's got the idea down, she'll go to Harrison about it and see what he says.

An hour later, someone clears their throat behind her and Issy turns around to see Bree watching her. Issy wipes the sweat from her forehead and smiles at her sister.

"Hey." Issy breathes.

"You weren't answering your phone or your emails so I tracked you down." Bree smiles. "I thought you could help me with some of the wedding plans?"

Issy closes her eyes, guilt flooding through her. "Shit, I'm so sorry. I –"

"It's okay. I know you've been busy with Captain duties and you've been all caught up in Eric." Bree winks at her with a laugh as Issy blushes.

"Can I shower at your place?"

"Sure, my planner is there anyway."

xXx

After Issy had showered and gotten dressed into a hoodie and leggings that she kept at Bree's, they sat down on the floor with the planner between them on the coffee table. The planner was absolutely adorable. It was more like a scrapbook with torn photos, colour swatches, ideas scribbled in glittery pens, stickers and beads dotted around the pages. On the front page is the couples' names with little leaf designs arching around it with the date that Issy supposes Noah proposed on and under it is a pencilled line, probably for the date that they get married on. Fucking adorable.

As Issy slowly flips through the pages, she didn't know what to expect but what the couple have planned so far fits them so well. The main colours are emerald and gun metal and on the page are several small squares of fabric in those colours. The next page has the plans for the brides maids and the best men. Issy, along with Lilah and Flare will be wearing an emerald dress, and the bride to be has decided on a gun metal dress. The designs on the dresses had yet to be decided but the girls will select a date to go out shopping. Noah had chosen Cody, Alec and Kayden to be his best men. The guys will have an emerald jacket and trousers with a gun metal shirt, whereas the groom will have the opposite of the jacket and trousers being gun metal with an emerald shirt. The ties haven't been chosen yet either. These plans take up a couple pages at least, all annotated in glittery pens.

The next few pages hold plans for the venue. They want it in late spring, early summer, and to be outside. Normally Issy would disagree with parties or weddings held outside but a little collection of words makes her understand why it'll be outside. Bonfires, lanterns, sparklers. There's some more words jotted down, switching from different handwriting as quick ideas for their outside venue. Fairy lights through trees, thick blankets, BBQ, food and drink stations – with or without alcohol, tents, cushions, banquet food, CHOCLATE CAKE, chocolate fountain? - no Bree. But whyyy? Don't you think that's a bit overboard? Says the man that wants hot chocolate and s'more stations. My ideas are reasonable, thank you very much, people like to help themselves. Exactly! They can help themselves with melted chocolate too! Bree, I don't want Uriah or Zeke thinking it's a good idea to stick their mouths under it and making a fool of themselves. You realise they make a fool of themselves daily? Even without the fountain, I can guarantee they'll still do something. Fiiiiine. Yay, I win!

Issy laughs at the commentary. Bree and Noah must have kept going back to the page and adding comments. Issy turns the page again and reads the title of a relatively empty page. Decorations.

"We haven't quite decided on the centre pieces of the tables yet." Bree runs a finger down the page. "Or the decorations in general other than bonfires, lanterns and fairy lights."

"You've cleared this with Max?"

"Yup. He said our plans were actually rather mild than some of the idiots in this faction."

Issy grins, picking up a pencil and a scrap bit of paper. "Let's get planning!"
