Madam Pince fixed her eyes on Harry and then on Ron after she stacked up the thick books in front of them.

'If you rip, bend, smear or in any other manner mistreat, the consequences will be aweful, Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley. These books survived through the battle. It is hard to get the copy of them. Do not touch them with your fingers. Use your wand, please.'

'Yes, ma'am!' Ron shouted.

Madam Pince placed her index finger before pursed lips to hush him.

'Thank you, Madam.' Harry held the two books carefully in his arms and carried them to the desk at the corner. Both paper covers were in rags, it would have crumbled if he had touched them. He pointed the tip of his wand, carefully opened the page of the book, Ode to Morgana, My Faery Queen Beyond the Veil.

Na tonnta faoin ghealach. Deireadh do shaoil, do shúile Bhí siad te orm.

'How can you read the language? It's not written in English, is it?' Ron whispered glancing at the direction where Madam Pince warned them to treat the books respectfully.

Harry regretted not asking Hermione to come together. 'Gaelic. I could get the meaning of the book of dragon, according to Hermione, I have the power to decipher the meaning. But I ...' His wand flipped the next page and he stared at a deer on it. That was when the words turned into the meaning he could understand. '...think I can.' He continued,

'A queen fell in love with a great sorcerer. They used magic for people. They were happy until the evil human king discriminated their kind. The sorcerer asked dragons for help, then tragedy happened. Dragons began sucking their souls, one of them was going to attack the king's son. Father king ordered his men to hunt and kill them to protect his child and his people. The prince was also a friend of the sorcerer, so the sorcerer...' Harry stopped reading. He couldn't believe the next sentences.

'Then?' Ron urged him to translate the rest.

'His name was Merlin.'

'The sorcerer? Cool. I know the name of the prince. Arthur. Hermione wrote to me that in her owl later. Go on.'

'He tried helping people to survive cooperating with the prince. He was a dragon lord who had power to control the dragons. Since then, most of them stopped sucking human's souls except King Dragon which was an ancient creature. The dragon burnt the kingdom and killed many people...' Harry stopped again. Sudden image jumped into his mind: Morgana Evans tried protecting a baby, but she failed, the lost life, a black tiny body of the human baby wrapped in a blanket, her voiceless cry, sadness, pain, all too much.

'Harry?'

'Sorry, um...where were we?'

'You told that the dragons burnt all.'

'Right. The queen left her own elegy after she lost her baby. She grieved for her child's death and cursed the humans, she knew the cause was the evil human king's discrimination and she didn't blame on the ancient creature.' His wand kept moving and the pages were turned softly.

'Was she Morgan le fay?' Ron asked. Apparently, Hermione seemed to have informed about it in advance.

'I think so. This book says Merlin and Morgan le fay was a couple. In the end,' The pages were turned without cease, 'They had a fight, which ended their marriage life with a long battle. The rest of the pages seems to be about the war...oh, she was killed by Merlin, himself. The last lament was about her death.'

'That's all?'

'Yeah.' The last page was turned. Harry set it aside gingerly and began flipping the next. The first page was full of pictographs.

'Blimey. All are animals. Hagrid must have been happy to see them. Can you decipher them as well, Harry?'

His wand halted while Harry concentrated on the pictorial symbols. He was flustered to find a red deer chased by a blue stag, which was a sexual description. He hesitated before translating it for Ron. Ginny in the morning immediately sprang into his mind. He decided to skip the part as finding them was enough for him to be able to translate the other parts. His wand restarted flipping the pages.

'This is about Merlin's point of view to see the world. He recorded what he had predicted and saw. He prevented any harms for humans from being hurt. He had much trust on his young king, Arthur. In this book, it doesn't seem he mentioned Morgan le fay. Nor dragons...' His wand sped up and Harry skipped over some pages.

Ron began dozing by him while Harry was absorbed in the book. Musty smell and dust stimulated his nostrils. He barely managed to stop sneezing, glanced at the direction of the counter where Madam Pince was sitting. Then a black shaggy dog drew his attention. He searched the other black dog forgetting the moldy smell and dry powder.

As he expected, the symbol appeared again and again. A few minutes later, he found the goal. The dog turned into a human, who stood in front of the white arch. There were other humans across it, two women, a raven haired and a golden or red haired, the paint came off, it wasn't clear. Above them, Merlin added the explanation on that.

After the knight followed the path the king walked, the history would be repeated again. He would revive as a sorcerer who would be saved twice by the dragon lord and the wand master.

Harry felt as if he was reprimanded by Hermione that he was unreasonable. However, he couldn't stop thinking the black shaggy dog must have been Sirius and he was still alive or Harry would save him.
