Seraphina's POV

With a swift kick, I make my enemy tumble to the ground and before he has a chance to get up, I have him in a headlock and whisper, "You lose."

I hear familiar clapping and in a second I am at the side of said vampire.

"Magnificent work, Seraphina."

"Thank you, Alec." I say with a smug smile.

Felix grabs the vampire from behind, making him unable to move.

"Alec." Felix says and Alec takes that as his cue to use his gift.

Mist comes out of Alec's hands and before long the vampire's eyes go blank and his body turns limp.

"Well, I believe our work here is done." Demetri says.

I look at our surroundings and there is nothing but fire and smoke surrounding the area, no sign of remaining newborns.

After making sure there were no more enemy vampires, I make the fire go down until it disappears.

Felix smirks, "It sure is good to have you now, it took long to extinguish the fire before."

"And to make it." Demetri quips.

I put a hand on my waist and smirk, "Well aren't you lucky I'm here then."

Both vampire chuckle, and I remember the vampire that is on Felix's hold.

"Must we bring him back?" I ask.

He's the one that gave us the most trouble it'll be my ultimate pleasure to kill him.

"Aro ordered to bring the leader to see if he has created any other newborn that we are not aware of." Alec informed me.

I nod and we make our way back.

I narrow my eyes at the vampire limp in Felix's arm.

This man got too power-hungry and decided to make his newborn army, thinking he could go past the Volturi's sensor.

Heh rookie mistake.

I feel a hand touch mine making me feel tingles from the touch.

"You're help was essential, mia amore." Alec smiles handsomely.

Those words mean so much to me especially coming from Alec.

"I told you I was ready." I smile.

"Yes, I know cara mia." Alec replies.

"You should be more careful Alec." Demetri says turning to Alec. "While we were fighting you almost threw me to the flames."

"Ah, my mistake. I confused you for one of the newborns." Alec replies, nonchalantly.

What a lie, I saw that happening and it looked like Alec did it on purpose.

"If you say so…" Demetri says unconvinced.

We continue the rest of our journey in silence and soon enough we reach the Volturi castle.

We soon reach the throne room and after a knock, we are let in.

In the room, the leaders are seating in their usual seats.

Aro quickly sees the cargo on Felix's arm and he slyly smirks.

"I can see all went according to plan!"

"Of course, Master." Alec replies.

"Alec, if you would please." Aro says and extends his hand.

Alec takes the cue and places his hand on Aro's.

Aro smiles widely after a moment.

"Amazing work everyone! Especially you Seraphina. It was the right decision to let you be on missions." Aro praises us.

It was about time they let me go to missions, that's the only reason I joined this damn cult- I mean coven in the first place.

"Thank you." I answer proudly.

"You have successfully cleared your training mission. I'd like to know your group mates opinion." Aro says and turns to both Alec and Felix.

"She has rapidly shown much improvement and seems to be ready for missions." Alec answers.

"I can attest to that, her moves and speed are impressive, not to mention her great flexibility." Dmitri says the last with a leer directed at me.

It takes all my willpower to not burn every strand of his blonde hair, but I do glare at him.

I feel a murderous aura beside me and see Alec glaring daggers at Dmitri.

He has a deep scowl, ready to snarl at any time.

His form lightly shaking from anger, he seems to be ready to pummel him, and I'm not gonna stop him.

He hasn't moved from his spot, I'm guessing it's because we're in front of the leaders.

Well if he was suspicious of Dimitri his suspicions have proven to be right.

"I'm glad to hear that from both of you, I would like to hear your opinion Felix as the physical teacher." Aro says turning to Felix.

"I too have seen her improve a lot, with her size and skill she will be an asset to the success of our missions." Felix says formally.

Hmm, so even he speaks formally to the leaders.

I will also forgive him for calling me short since he meant it as a compliment.

"Well then! You have no arguments from us either then! From this point forward you will also be appointed to official missions, young Seraphina!" Aro says, gleefully.

I smile widely.

"Thank you Aro." I grin.

I refuse to call any of the leaders master, I may be serving them but I refuse to call them that way and they do not seem to mind besides Caius but he can suck it.

"We'll let you know when we have a mission for you." Aro told me with a grin.

"Don't make me wait too long." I smile slyly.

"Well, I believe it's time to question our dear friend, Alec if you could remove your mist?" Aro says to Alec.

Alec obeys and soon the vampire regains his senses.

The vampire looks around him his face full of fear and confusion.

"Wh-what?! Where a-am I?!"

"Welcome to the Volturi castle!" Aro says while extending his hands to his side as to motion his castle. "Happy to have you here!"

I roll my eyes.

Stop the theatrics and just get on with it.

"W-why am I here….?" the man asks nervously.

"You made an army of newborns, at an alarming rate too." Aro explains.

"What's wrong with that?! That isn't against the rules." the shaken man says.

"Ah, it isn't." Aro says with a calm smile. "What is however against the rules is to allow your creations to wreak so much havoc humans are noticing!"

Aro yells and throws a newspaper article which reads, SEVERAL CASES OF PEOPLE FOUND DEAD.

Under that it read, ALL FOUND EXTREMELY BLOODY, COULD WILD MONSTERS BE AMONG US?

The man's eyes widen at the newspaper but still counters, "Why do you think my creations were the cause of that, it could have been anyone."

Aro laughs hysterically at his reply, "Ah Sebastian, who do you take us for? We see and know everything."

Before the man could even blink Aro was in front of him and harshly took his hand and ultimately read all of his memories.

The man watches in dread as Aro holds his hand.

After a moment passes, Aro's crimson eyes pierced into his.

"You have been found guilty." Aro utters.

The man's face pales and opens his mouth but before he could say anything else, Felix takes his head off and throws it to the side.

With that, his headless body falls to the floor.

"Good riddance." Aro says looking at the fallen body.

He then turns to me, "Seraphina if you could please?"

I take the cue, and burn both his head and body, leaving only ashes.

The low ranking guards rapidly clean the ashes until there is no more.

"Did you see any other newborns that haven't been destroyed, brother?" Caius asks.

"No, all have been disposed of." Aro replies.

"Everyone is dismissed!" Aro concludes.

About time.

With that last thought in mind, I leave the throne room.

It isn't long until I feel arms around me and a familiar brunette has his face in the side of my neck.

"Good to see you too." I say, playfully.

"Why did he say that? Why was he looking at you that way?" Alec growled, talking about Demetri.

"I'm too charming for my own good, I have rejected him several times but he doesn't give up." I tell him, nonchalantly.

"I knew his womanizing eyes were going to be on you, the moment he saw you." He says coldly.

"You have nothing to worry, I only have eyes for you." I smile as I wrap my arms in his neck and stare straight at his crimson eyes.

He smirks at that and hugs me close.

After a moment passes, I say, "Well I need to tell her the good news!"

"Who d-" He was saying but I ran off to my destination.

I open the door with a smile.

"Janeee~!" I sing.

"Seraphina, how was the mission. I imagine it went well judging from your mood." Jane says with a slight smile.

I grin, "It went splendid. Alec had no need to worry as I had told him many times."

"I was simply being careful." I hear a familiar voice behind me.

I turn and find my mate.

I roll my eyes at his answer.

"We know, brother."

"But anyways Seraphina did do a splendid job, you should have seen her." Alec says, pride gleaming in his eyes.

My smile only widens from his praise.

"I had already imagined as much." Jane replies with a small smile.

Jane had a mission to go to so she didn't accompany us, I wish she had gone with us but oh well we can't always choose our group mates.

Obviously, if we could Alec would never let Demetri be in a group with us.

"Do tell me the details later unfortunately I have some duties to attend to." Jane says.

More duties? God Jane never catches a break.

"Okay, let's talk later." I say with a smile and together both Alec and I exit the room.

I look at him and smile, he looks at me quizzically.

I grab his hand and bring him to my room.

"Anyway, right now is a time to celebrate!" I smile.

His eyes twinkle mischievously, "Oh? What do you propose?"

My smile widens, "To dance!"

I turn on my radio and turn up the volume to the popular jazz songs.

I begin to move to the beat as Alec looks at me strangely.

"What are you waiting for?" I ask him and pull him to me but he remains still as a statue.

I try to dance with him, but he moves his arms stiffly.

"Alec, have you never danced?" I ask my tense mate.

"I have gone to several balls before so of course I know basic ballroom dancing, whatever it is that you are doing however I do not." Alec says as he looks at my dancing with a strange look.

"*Di mi!" I gasp. (Di mi!: My goodness!" or "Holy shit!")

"You have really never danced to Jazz before?!" I ask, still surprised.

He looks at me frustrated, "Of course not, that's not real dancing."

"Yes, it is!" I chuckle at his words. "You're just too old fashioned to accept it."

His frown deepens, "You're just as old as me! I'm not old fashioned."

I smirk.

Oh yes, you're very old fashioned.

"I'm going to pretend you didn't just call me old, instead just look at my moves I'll teach you how to dance to some real jazz music."

I begin dancing while moving my hands, "This is the Charleston."

He looks at me strangely as if I just ate human food.

"You do it." I tell him, expectantly.

He begins to move his arms and legs awkwardly, trying to mimic what I had done but clearly failing.

"…Okay. How about we do something a bit more similar to ballroom dancing as that's what you're used to." I say and begin by placing my one of my hands in his shoulder and he takes my other hand in his.

I try to ignore the tingles that his touch gives me to continue with the lesson.

"Okay, this is very similar to ballroom dancing but we must take more exaggerated steps, let's try it." I explain.

We begin moving and he begins moving smoothly, very different from his rigid dancing from a few moments ago, his touch so gentle and his eyes so captivating that I am swayed with his movements and simply follow his lead.

We continue dancing for a few moments until he gets near my ear and huskily asks, "How am I doing?"

His question is what snaps me from my reverie.

His dancing was impeccable but it wasn't the right style! He was dancing ballroom dancing, not jazz dancing.

I frown, "That's not jazz dancing, like I said, make your steps more exaggerated."

I make a big step back to demonstrate.

He looks at my movement and mimics it.

I smile, "Good, now let's do that with more steps and faster."

And we do, the music only helping us match our movements.

He starts rigid but becomes more smooth with every few steps.

"Okay now move your arms in an exaggerated fashion, like this." I say and begin moving my arms.

Just like before his movement starts awkward but becomes smoother slowly.

I grin, "You're doing great!"

"This might not be so bad." He smirks.

"Of course it's not bad, I'm the one that's teaching you." I reply smugly.

"Ah mi amore, you're the only reason I tried out this horrid dance style."

I playfully roll my eyes, "What's horrid is that you are actually a good dancer."

His smirk widens, "Are you already admitting defeat to my obvious superior skills?"

"Superior?! In your dreams!" I shot back and began by applying more movements.

Hours passed as we danced and laughed, neither of us getting tired of the dancing or each other's presence.

If this is what it feels like to have a mate, then I really had nothing to worry about.

I can easily see myself spending eternity with Alec.

I can finally put down my walls for somebody.

I put both of my arms in Alec's neck, his scent drawing me like a moth to a flame.

I lean in and watch as his enticing crimson eyes follow my every movement until my lips connected with his.

Hello! Sorry for the long wait! I have slowly been working on this chapter as inspiration hasn't been as big as it usually is. But I'll read more and get inspired. Work and school also kept me busy, but I'll use this spring break to work on some of my fanfics.

Thank you all for your patience! I will try to not take so long for the next updat
