"Hello," you greeted shyly. Lucifer's heartbeat just a little faster at the sound of your voice.

"Hi," he greeted back. You smiled. His voice wasn't like you imagined. It was better. It was rough but soft too. It had this uniqueness to it, "I gotta say you sound even more beautiful than you look,".

"I could say the same for you," you said, "um that you sound even more handsome,". He chuckled.

"I knew you were adorable," he said. You blushed. You two were silent for a few moments.

"I'm not sure what to say," you admitted. He chuckled again at the sweetness of your tone.

"Well my day is usually on repeat," he said, "so please tell me about your day,". So you did. He sat there and listened to every word you said. For the first time in a long time, Lucifer wore a genuine smile on his face. He listened as you talked about everything you could within the fifteen minute call. From what you ate for breakfast to a new apartment building you were gonna get to manage. You both felt a twinge of sadness when the last few minutes of the call went by.

"Guess this is goodbye for now," he said.

"Not goodbye," you said, "just until tomorrow. Um if you wanna call again,". Lucifer's genuine smile grew.

"I look forward to hearing your beautiful voice again tomorrow Y/N," he stated, "sweet dreams," he said and the call ended. You laid in your bed that night unable to wipe the smile off you face. Not that you wanted to. You closed your eyes and replayed Lucifer's voice in your head as you drifted off to sleep. Over the next few weeks, Lucifer called like clockwork every night. Always at the same time. You two always used up all fifteen minutes every night. He would listen as you told him about your day. If it was good he would enjoy the happiness in your voice and he had come to adore the sound of your laugh. If you were having a bad day he would do the best he could to cheer you up. He would even let you vent the whole fifteen minutes sometimes. You grew to look forward to his calls. You were finishing the last of paperwork with a couple who just rented a new apartment from you. Luckily the apartment was ready to go so you didn't have to do any physical work to it. As they left your office with the keys your cell phone rang.

"Hello?" you answered.

"Hey little one," you heard your older brother Sam say and you rolled your eyes. He called you that all the time. it was his way of celebrating not being the youngest since you came along.

"Hey Sammy," you greeted, "whatcha up to?".

"Not much, I was calling to invite you to dinner," he said, "me and Jess have a special announcement to make and we want everyone there,".

"When?" you asked.

"Around five at The Eclipse," he said.

"Ooh, that fancy restaurant downtown," you said, "just what is this news?" you asked.

"You'll find out soon," he said and hung up. You checked the time and it was only noon. You figured you'd have a quick lunch, head home, and get ready for dinner tonight. Hopefully, be home in time for Lucifer's call. Once you got home and finished getting ready you saw you had a bit before Dean came to pick you up. You wondered what Sam's big announcement could be. It had to be big for him to want everyone together and to do it at a fancy restaurant instead of at his home. Maybe it would be something worthy of telling Lucifer about it. Dean came and picked you up and you saw Jo was with him this. She stepped out of the car to greet you.

"Hey Y/N!" she greeted and hugged you before you all got back in the car.

"Been a while, Jo," you said, "how ya been?".

"Good, keeping Dean in line," she said with a laugh as Dean rolled his eyes. You got to The Eclipse and walked in. Everything was decorated in black, white, and silver. It was gorgeous. You greeted Sam and Jessica and Even your mother was there. Sam ordered champagne for everyone and Jessica ordered a sparkling water. As you ate dinner you kept looking at the clock. You didn't think Sam was ever gonna tell you the big news.

"Alright Sammy," Dean said, "what's this big announcement?". Jessica grabbed Sam's hand and nodded at him.

"Guys, we're having a baby," he said. Everyone cheered and hugged them.

"Your dad would be so happy," your mom said. You guys had lost your dad a few years back. He just went in his sleep one night. You all talked about pretty much everything baby from names to nurseries. You noticed it was almost nine and you need to be home by ten for Lucifer's call.

"Dean, hate to make you leave but I need to get home," you said, "I have a busy day tomorrow,".

"Yeah, Dean's gotta get to bed soon too," Jo said, "I don't want him being tired on the job,". You said goodbyes and you gave your mom and Jessica kisses on the cheek before you left. By the time you got home and finished getting settled in for the night, it was ten but the phone hadn't rung yet. You shrugged it off at first thinking maybe he had to wait for someone else to get done using the phone first. But a whole half an hour went by. You still figured maybe someone else was ahead of him on the phone so you waited. By the time eleven rolled around you were starting to panic. You tried not to. But bad thoughts kept creeping into your mind.

Did he decide he didn't wanna talk anymore? He had lost interest in you already? Did something happen that made him lose his phone time tonight? and the one that had you fighting forming tears. Had someone more interesting then you start talking to him? And if so did he like her better?
