It had been hectic since your return from the other world but things settled down just in time for Christmas. The boys weren't sure about it at first but you managed to talk them into celebrating this year. You've all earned it. So you managed to get some of the new hunters to help you decorate and in no time most of them were relaxing a bit. You had noticed one being in the bunker who kept to himself. Not that you could blame him with how everyone was treating him. Lucifer had been the one who had gotten everyone to the rift on time. But his powers were weakened at the moment so to avoid what you thought was undeserved treatment from the others he stayed to himself.
You wanted to include the archangel in the festive evening and smiled as you got an idea and hurried to your room. Rowena had been teaching you some cool little spells and you knew exactly which one you needed. Later that night everyone was in the map room where the little tree you set up was. "What's Christmas without gifts," you told everyone, "don't worry I'm sure they're all hunter approved,".
You even got gifts like a new gun, some books that weren't lore related, and Cas gave you a little bee keychain. You looked around and noticed Lucifer just sitting at the top of the stairs. He seemed to be just staring off. You smiled as you put your hand in your pocket and headed up the stairs. "I know you probably don't care about the holiday but," you pulled a small box wrapped in velvet like black wrapping paper with a silver bow on it, "this is for you. From me,". The angel looked up at you. Shock clear in his vessel's bright blue eyes. He slowly reached up and took the gift. You watched as he unwrapped it and opened the box pulling out a silver chain necklace with a round shaped charm at the end that was glowing brightly.
"What is this?" he asked. You sit down beside him.
"Your name Lucifer means light bringer, "you stated, "which means you were meant to be the angel of light,". All Lucifer could seem to do was nod. "The beautiful light is still there just no one ever tries to see it and maybe sometimes you forget it's there,". The archangel didn't make a move as you took the necklace and put it on him. "This charm is shaped like a halo. I know cheesy, but as long as you wear it it'll glow and remind yourself of the beautiful light you've always had,".
"Your name is Y/N right?" he asked. You nodded. The archangel gently placed his cool hand on your cheek. He didn't say anything. He didn't have to. You could see the appreciation in his eyes.
