Last chapter, after Team RWBY finished with the performance round, they see the result and see Weiss and Blake are facing each other in the first round which was much as a shock to them. Not only that, Ruby and Yang are against each other in the last match-up which is much to their surprise as well. No matter what, they're still teammates. However, only one can make it to the top.
"Hey." Blake says to Weiss.
Weiss gives Blake her full attention.
Blake extends her hand, "Let's give it our all, no matter what happens."
Weiss drops her guard, "Yeah." and shakes her hand, "Lets."
In the stadium, the crowd cheer for the battle round for the Kanto Pokemon Contest and are eager to see Weiss and Blake go at it. There is one cheering section of the crowd with many boys cheering for Weiss while wearing white clothing and holding a white banner in blue writing that says, 'YOU GO WEISS!'. In another section, there is a crowd of people wearing fuzzy, black cat-like ears on their heads with a yellow banner with black writing that reads, 'WE LOVE YOU BLAKE!'
Vivian then takes the stage, "Alrighty everyone! Are you ready for the first round of the battle segment of the Pokemon Contest?"
Everyone in the crowd started to cheer.
"I can't hear ya'. Say it louder!"
The crowd cheers even more louder than before.
"Glad to hear it! Now let me introduce our first two coordinators. To my left; she's a beauty who looks like a snow angel and a fondness of cuteness, Weiss Schnee!"
The crowd cheers as Weiss does an elegant entrance into the arena.
"And to my right; she's a beauty with her own style and has those fake ears of an unknown Pokemon while maintaining style and grace, Blake Belladonna!"
The crowd cheers for Blake as she does a graceful appearance into the arena.
"Ready, Weiss?!" Blake pulls out her Pokeball from the sleeve of her kimono.
"You know it!" Weiss has her Pokeball out.
Blake throws hers first, "Go, Vulpix!" Vulpix comes out with flames around him and is ready for battle.
Weiss throws hers, "Go, Nicholas!" Nicholas comes out with bubbles around him before turning into Vaporean and is ready for battle.
"Begin!" Vivian announces as the timer starts counting down.
"Nicholas, use aqua jet!"
"And Weiss opens with a fierce watery attack!"
Nicholas begins with an aqua jet and swims around in the air. Blake lost three percent of her points.
"Use incinerate!"
Vulpix uses incinerate. But not at Nicholas, but at the ground that repelled Vulpix is launched into the air like a rocket while leaving a ring of fire on the ground. That ring is later extinguished by Nicholas' aqua jet. However, up in the air Vulpix's tails are on fire which cause Weiss to lose seven percent of her points.
"Look at that! Blake's Vulpix not only escape but now has its tails on fire!"
"Use confuse ray!" Blake orders.
From Vulpix's fiery tails, golden colored orbs that are on fire and headed right towards Nicholas.
"Use aurora beam!"
Nicholas fires a colorful beam from his mouth that shot the orbs. From the collision, an explosion of colors with golden auroras mixed with the colors along with very colorful sparkles. Everyone was in awe about the aurora over them which resulted in both Blake and Weiss losing only one percent of their points.
"Now that's how you start the battle round! Both coordinators unleashed a devastating attack that exploded into an amazing work of art."
"Use double kick while in the air!"
Nicholas jumps up into the air and rolls into the beautiful aurora that causes his legs to glow and is about to hit Vulpix.
"Use quick attack to dodge!"
Vulpix quickly gets out of the way right before Nicholas hits the ground that causes auroras to spread out. Blake lost four percent of her points while Weiss only lost two.
"Amazing! Weiss uses the aurora in the air to her advantage and created an explosion of color with Vaporeon's double kick!"
Weiss orders, "Jump up into the aurora!"
Blake orders, "Jump into the aurora!"
Both Pokemon jump up into the aurora and the fur and skin have the colors of the aurora infused into their skin or fur as their bodies become golden with feint colorations. Yet no points were dropped.
"Look at those glows! Now this is a spectacular start to the battle rounds! Both Pokemon have amazing glows to them!"
"Use incinerate!"
"Use aurora beam!"
Both Pokemon are prepared to fire their attacks.
But both of them say, "Now eat it!"
Both Pokemon swallow their attacks with some amazing results. Vulpix, like before, have his fur becoming fiery yet with the aurora has given him a very fiery glow. While Nicholas has a beautiful, shimmering aura that flows like a veil.
Both of them then order, "Quick attack!"
Vulpix and Nicholas then charge at each other which resulted in a colorful flash followed by a huge explosion. The light of the explosion is so bright that everyone had to cover their eyes due to the intensity along with some of the cameras being destroyed in the process. When the light faded, there was smoke that finally cleared. Both Vulpix and Nicholas are still standing. Silence fill the stadium as everyone watch while in awe or in anticipation to see what happens next. After what feels like a minute, Nicholas staggers at little before Vulpix collapse just before returning to his Pokeball. Thus the buzzer sounds to signify Blake's lost. One person from the audience stands up to give a standing applause. Not long after, little by little, the entire audience started to stand in applause before they cheer. Not just for Weiss' victory, but to both her and Blake's battle.
"WOOOO!" Vivian went as she is excited, "What a spectacular way to start our battle rounds! What a show stopper! What amazing techniques!"
Mr. Contesta speaks while giving a standing applause, "That was truly a fantastic battle! One for the ages!"
Mr. Sukizo stands and applause, "A remarkable opening!" At least he says more than just 'remarkable'.
Nurse Joy sheds some tears, "That was a wonderful battle performance that no words cannot explain. I'm speechless."
In the waiting room, Ruby and Yang saw the fight from one of the still functioning cameras and are amazed. Ruby is super excited as she has a lot of twinkling sparkles all over and even in her eyes.
"That. Was. AWWEEESOOOOME!" she shouts from the top of her lungs as she can barely contain her enthusiasm. "The whole colored aura thing! And the woosh! And the vroom! And the boom! Holy everything! Woo!"
Yang says, "And the attacks! The coordination! And the big explosive finale!" She can't contain her enthusiasm either. "Now I can't wait to go!"
"Me too!"
Weiss and Blake come in as Weiss says to her, "That was an exquisite battle."
"I agree."
Vivian says on screen as Blake and Weiss get praised by Yang, Ruby and many other coordinators, "And that was an amazing match! But can you believe that this is only the beginning? Let's see what other creative and fantastic battles that are in store for us."
The contest continues on as many coordinators try to show off their fancy moves while trying to outdo their opponent. The energy is still high after what Blake and Weiss did at the beginning but it is slowly fading away as the contest continues as they continue to watch the other battles that weren't as good as the first. They hope to see something as brilliant as the first round. Many coordinators before Yang and Ruby tried to live up to that, but they're more standard and not as great. Yet now, it is Yang and Ruby's turn.
"Now to my left, we have the beautiful, the lovely and the girl you boys love; Yang Xiao Long!"
Yang enters the arena as the crowd cheers for here and a few boys whistle as she enters. Some have large banners with yellow lettering that show their love and appreciation for Yang...but there is also some jealous, shadowy auras coming from some of the ladies that despise her for taking all the boys.
"And to my right, we have her younger and adorable sister who has a fondness for cookies yet shy; Ruby Rose!"
Ruby is still a little nervous as she enters the arena as she shyly waves at the crowd. Many find her adorable with many of those who despise Yang telling her to take down her sister. When she hears them telling her to take Yang down, she starts to get a giant sweat drop on her.
Back on Remnant, Taiyang is at home after doing some exploration in the ruins and is tired. He just entered the front door as the sun is setting over the horizon. Zwei is there with a warm club sandwich with a side of homemade fries and a cup of coffee as he balances the tray on his head.
Taiyang smiles as he takes the tray, "Thanks, Zwei. Where would I be without you?"
Zwei cheerfully barks before getting his own food. The two sit on the couch as Tai puts the TV on to see if there's any new development with Team RWBY.
"Let's see how our girls are doing, eh boy?"
Zwei has his bowl close to him and is already eating his dinner. As they are prepare to watch, there is a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Tai says.
The door opens and Qrow walks in, "Hey, Tai." he says with a pleasant smile, "Any new developments?"
"Not much yet." Tai says as he glances away from the television. "Care to join in?"
"Just a sec." Qrow pulls out a bag of takeout before joining his brother-in-law on the couch along with Zwei. "So how goes the temple exploration?"
"The more I go in there, the more questions I have. Not to mention that its larger on the inside than the outside that stretches deep underground."
"Any treasure or any ideas on how to get the girls back?" Qrow pulls out his flask to have with his takeout.
"Lots of treasure but no way to get Yang and Ruby back. We found these strange gems that have elemental powers that enhances certain types of Dust matching and a person's semblance." Tai starts eating his sandwich.
"That's interesting. Guess it works on those creatures to enhance their elemental attacks." Qrow then get out his chopsticks and starts eating his rice.
"But we found these strange other gemstones as well. They were strange." Tai drinks some of his coffee.
"How so?" Qrow continues to eat.
"To activate them it involves...dance moves."
Qrow spits out his rice as he starts laughing, "Seriously?!"
"It's starting!"
They see the television showing Blake and Weiss battling each other in the first round.
"Looks like the ice queen and the cat girl are going first." Qrow comments.
"Yeah. Our girls are appearing in the last round." Taiyang comments.
Zwei tries to do his own commentary through a few barks.
The three watch the screen to see where this battle is taking place.
Over in Menagerie, the Belladonnas are cheering for their daughter with Kali waving two black little flags with Blake's name on it in yellow coloring. One in each hand. Ghira is watching while having a giant bowl of popcorn that he shares with many of the guards that are also watching. They're all glued to the screen as they watch Blake and Weiss battle each other.
"Go Blake!" Kali cheers while waving the flags in her hands.
At the White Fang headquarters, the two factions of the organization are cheering for Blake for a victory over Weiss. Some even place bets with Blake winning 900 to 1, but they'll be in for a surprise at the end. But they did settle their differences aside to see Blake win against a Schnee.
Even at Atlas, many of the aristocracy are watching and betting on Weiss to win, much to Winter's displeasure. Jacque is betting on Weiss to win as well.
Basically everyone is now watching the match between Blake and Weiss even through there is a lag between worlds. And the results would surprise some in the match once it has concluded. But Tai, Qrow and Zwei are more interested to see hoe Ruby and Yang fair. Which sister will win? Stay tune.
AN: Hey everyone. I hope you enjoy this new chapter. But I have some bad news. I'm putting this story on hiatus along with my Food Wars story until October or November. If you wonder why, let's just say that there is a lot to deal with so I'm putting some stories on hold for the time being. I apologize, but hopefully things would be okay around autumn. Plus I also need some artistic inspiration so maybe the colors of fall might help when it gets here. Assuming I can see the mountains again with all this terrible smoke in the way. Any who, I hope you guys can understand. See you guys soon in either October or November. Hopefully.
