Let's Find My Parents!
Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come. I am so tired of leaving my fanfictions unattended, so I have been updating/concluding projects left and right. I want to say again how much I appreciate your patience; and even though this show ended three years ago, I am DETERMINED to finish what I started, even if you guys have lost interest. That being said, let's get the show on the road! Enjoy!
Seth Harper turned away from the window and scratched his chin.
"Where are my minions?" he said, and went past the failed cage to find them.
He was suddenly confronted by Ryan, Mark, Spyder, Harris, Megan, Leo, Robert and Lucy.
"Ohhhhh shoot", he said. "You're all awake, aren't you?"
"Gee, ya think?" Spyder said.
"I see. Well, you know what they say: If you want something done right-"
Everyone backed up as Seth Harper turned into orange ooze and began to expand, growing as tall as the building. Leo clicked his tongue with his teeth.
"Right", he said. "I forgot he could do that."
"Holy-" Megan began, but she was cut off by a mighty roar from Seth's T-rex monster form.
"Mom, Dad, run!" Ryan said, but it was too late.
Seth growled as he reached down and grabbed them, holding him in the air with his giant claws.
"No! I just got them back, for real! I WON'T lose them again!"
"No, you won't."
Megan used her powers to undo the work she had done, flinging metal beams at the monster that was Seth Harper. He stared down at her and growled.
"Come and get me, ugly", Megan sneered, and launched herself out the window and out onto the lawn in front of the building. The monster jumped after her, landing with a thud.
"Man, why did we have to leave the robot all the way back in Cairo?!" Harris said. "We sure could use some Mech-X action right about now!"
"Guys, that's it!" said Ryan. "I can bring the robot here!"
"Dude", said Mark, "that's gotta be millions of miles."
"Actually, it's 5,901 miles", Harris said automatically.
"Your body can't use that much energy to bring the robot here, you could get hurt!"
"Mark, there's no other way!" said Ryan. "We have to stop Seth and save my parents."
Ryan's eyes glowed blue, and he turned back to look at Mark.
"I've made up my mind."
Blue energy surged around Ryan as he powered up, and he growled in concentration.
"Ryan, please, no!" Mark yelled, but Harris held him back.
"Sever the link with the robot, and his brain could explode", Harris explained.
"Ugh, nasty", Spyder muttered, cringing.
"AAAAH!"
Ryan squinted his eyes in concentration, and suddenly the robot landed right outside the building. Ryan groaned and sank to his knees, his energy spent.
"I did it", he said weakly. "I got it here."
And then he fell to the ground unconscious.
"What are we gonna do now?" Spyder said.
"I don't know", said Harris as Mark went to check on his brother. "Ryan's the only one who can power the robot. Without him, we're sunk!"
As Megan got ready to throw another beam, Seth slammed his fist down on her.
"Uh-oh!" Harris said. "That's not good!"
But surprisingly, Megan lifted Seth's fist, revealing that she was wearing an X-Shield.
"You hit like a-actually, that's an insult to me, so never mind."
Megan pushed her hands forward, knocking monster-Seth to the ground.
"DANG, son!" Harris exclaimed.
"Ya know, if she continues like this, we may not need the-"
Suddenly, monster-Seth began to mutate and grow into a larger-looking dinosaur.
"Oh, boy", said Harris. "Our biggest enemy just became the biggest dinosaur to ever walk the earth: The Spinosaurus."
Megan covered her ears as the much bigger monster roared, shattering the windows of his own building. She levitated herself back up to the main floor, where she stood in front of the boys. She glanced down at Ryan and sighed exasperatedly.
"PLEASE tell me someone has a plan", she said.
The boys shrugged.
"Of course not", she muttered. "Alright, I've got something I can try. Stand back, guys."
The boys took a few steps away from Ryan, and Megan concentrated, her eyes glowing yellow. She closed her eyes and held her hand out to Ryan's head, whose fingers twitched. Suddenly, Ryan bolted upright, panting and gasping.
"Ryan!"
Mark leaned down to his younger brother.
"You okay, dingus?"
Ryan nodded and stared up at Megan, who had gone pale.
"What did you do?" said Harris.
"I used my powers to stimulate a neurological response within Ryan's cranium, but doing so diluted my telekinesis to a minimum."
Spyder stared at her and blinked.
"I woke up his brain, and now I can't fight", she said slowly, and he nodded, understanding.
Megan sank to the floor as Ryan got up and activated his powers. The robot walked closer to the building and Ryan jumped into its outstretched palm.
"What are you waiting for, a formal invitation?!" Ryan yelled. "Let's go!"
Spyder, Harris and Mark took turns jumping into the robot and took their places at their respectful positions as Ryan hooked himself in.
"Alright, guys, let's do this", he said. "Mech...EXECUTE!"
He crossed his arms in front of his chest, and the robot mirrored his actions. From the main floor, Megan looked up from the floor and smiled weakly.
"Go get him, guys", she said.
We are almost there, guys; I promise. The next chapter will be the last, and then (sadly) I can let the series die. If you like what you're reading, please be sure to shoot me a review...if you're still reading, that is. See you again soon!
