{PoofyOhio: This is absurd, but entertaining.}

Onyx was peacefully sleeping in the middle of the room... Well... As peaceful as a ten-foot, seven-hundred-pound reptile of death can get. Though, to the team that had to wake him up from this seemingly peaceful slumber were nervous, to say the least.
"Uhhh, should we call the armor guy? He seemed to know Onyx," Azure asked her brother, who just shrugged.
"Well... Just poke him, or something," Silver whispered to the two Faunus, yawning as he got out of his bed.
"You do it!" Percy whispered. Silver rolled his eyes and walked up to Onyx and reached a hand out, patting the top of his head a few times. Onyx's eyes shot open and up to Silver's hand.
"Remove your hand from my head before you lose it, human," Onyx growled, obviously not happy about being woken up.
"Well, I gotta wake you up, our first class starts in an hour. We got... 'Survival skills' in lecture room Two-Fifteen," Silver answered shrugging.
"Then wake me up ten minutes before we have to leave, you idiots," Onyx retorted, closing his eyes. The three obeyed his command and left him to sleep for some time, taking showers and getting ready for class. Eventually, Silver woke Onyx up again, this time a lot closer to the time for the class. Onyx and the team started heading down the hallway, Azure leading the way with Percy, Onyx behind them, and Silver walking behind Onyx.
"You're lucky that you don't have to wear a uniform, these things look stupid," Percy whined, looking over to Onyx.
"I agree, they do look stupid. Good thing my species has no need for clothes or armor," Onyx replied, scanning the numbers on the doors as he walked.
"We're here," Azure stated, walking up to a double door. Azure pushed the door open and entered the room along with the others. Everybody in the room stared at Onyx as he entered, somthing that he didn't quite appreciate.
"So, where should we sit?" Silver asked, clapping his hands together. The team stood in silence for a second before Silver looked back at Onyx in an inquiry.
"Why are you looking at me?" Onyx asked, looking between his teammates.
"Well... You are the leader..." Silver stated, shrugging and leading the team to sit in the middle row. The four waited for a few minutes, looking around at the other students. The most noticeable person was Cardin Winchester, who glanced angrily over to Onyx a couple of times. Though always looked away when Onyx noticed. Out of a side door, a man in power armor walked through, the clunking of the heavy steel echoing as he walked to a desk and placed what looked like a bottle of amber fluid on the table.
"Everyone! Welco-" He started, only to be cut off by two teams of students running through the door. Team RWBY and Team JNPR to be exact.
"You're... Late. But, it is the first day, so I'll let it slide. Take your seats." Jenkins announced, allowing the people to take their seats.
"As I was saying... Welcome to my class! I will be teaching you important survival skills that you might need one day." The Paladin stated, taking off his helmet, revealing his face
"My name is Paladin Jenkins. Any questions?" Jenkins asked, laying the helmet on the table. Multiple people in the room raised their hand.
"Okay... Uhhh you... Weiss Schnee, I think... At least that's what it said on the chart, am I right with your name?" Jenkins said, pointing to Weiss. She nodded and looked at the paladin with disdain.
"Um, how do you think we got here? We already know survival skills, why do you need to teach us?" Weiss complained, rolling her eyes. Jenkins smiled as he got an idea.
"Well, Shnee! Thank you for volunteering yourself to help with my example!" Jenkins announced, waving to the space next to him.
"Wha- But I didn't-" Weiss whined before accepting it and walking down the stairs and standing infront of Jenkins.
"All you need to do is start a small fire," Jenkins said, taking out some rocks and wood from under his desk and placing them in a circle, with the firewood in a small Teepee style placement. Weiss rolled her eyes again and turned to Jenkins.
"Do you have some fire dust?" Weiss asked, holding out a hand. Jenkin's eye twitched slightly as he gave a strained smile.
"No, but I do have two sticks and a string... Good luck," Jenkins said, handing her the items and walking over to the desk, grabbing the bottle of amber liquid and taking a big swig.
"What? What am I supposed to do with this?!" Weiss yelled, looking at the items in confusion.
"How about's you bring a teammate down here to help you?" Jenkins stated, taking another drink from the glass.
Weiss sighed and looked over to her team. There was Blake, who wasn't paying any attention. Ruby, who was ecstatically waving her hand, wanting to help. And Yang, who would have been the best pick, if she wasn't sleeping right now.
"Ugg fine. Ruby can help," Weiss sighed, watching Ruby hop up and walk down to the front of the class. The two looked at the items for a few minutes, what should of been a simple task had been diluted through the years of reliance on dust. And after a few minutes of trying, they both gave up.
"Alright you two, that's enough... Anybody else want to give it a try?" Jenkins asked, looking around the class. Jenkins sighed, grabbing the items and placing them back under his desk.
"Now that I've made my point, I would like to start class... To begin, I'm sure you know now that this will be no normal survival class. This class will teach you how to survive with; no dust, no safe shelter, no reliable source of water, and no special weapons. In this class, you will not use your self made weapons. You will use these!" Jenkins announced, pulling out a knife.
"This is based on a Sheffield 12693 fixed blade, each and every one of you will have this exact type of knife. And It is the only weapon or tool you will be allowed to use in this class. You are not allowed to modify it in any way, shape, or form. You will be given one at the end of class. I expect you to incorporate it into whatever you wear for combat, as well as making it easy to take out and use in a combat situation. This applies to everyone except Onyx,"
"Wait, Why does he get special treatment?!" Weiss interrupted, gesturing to Onyx.
"Three things! One; Next person to interrupt me gets to do paperwork for the rest on the year! Two; Onyx's claws are larger and sharper than any of these knives, and while he wont be issued a knife, he will be expected to use his claws with more efficiency then anyone else in here. Three; Onyx grew up outside the walls of any settlements. He grew up competing with monsters his entire life, most of the material in this class, he already knows,"
"Now... the first thing I'm going to teach in this class is familiarizing ourselves with the Ten essentials for survival," Jenkins continued, giving his lesson for another thirty minutes before being stopped by the bell.
"Alright, that's enough for today. Remember to grab a knife as you leave," Jenkins finished, grabbing a large crate of knives and placing them next to the door, handing them to each student as they left.
Onyx and his team were last to leave, mostly because Onyx had fallen asleep and had to be woke up. Onyx walked at the back of his team, still waking up. The rest of his team grabbed their knifes and started walking to the next class, Onyx falling behind even more.
They day was long and grueling, the classes were extremely boring from Onyx's perspective and the lunch was sub-par. The last class he had to attend was Glynda Goodwitch's combat class. Onyx and his team walked in, Onyx actually being a minute behind the others.
"Hello students. As you already know, this is a combat class. The first thing's first, I want to start with a practice spar between two students. This spar will be an example of how to properly and safely spar in this class,"
"Would any students like to volunteer?" Glynda asked, receiving multiple volunteers wanting to fight.
" Cardin Winchester, come to the front," Glenda chose, with Cardin jumping to the arena floor.
"Who should you like to spar with?" Glynda asked, glancing at Cardin.
"Onyx," Cardin stated, smiling.
"Onyx... Okay, come to the front," Glynda hesitated, looking up at Onyx, who was currently sleeping.
Onyx was woken by his Silver, who explained what happened. Onyx sighed and made his way to the arena floor.
"Onyx, Winchester," Glynda announced, backing away from the area to give them room, "Fight!"
Cardin charged immediately, raising his weapon above his head and swinging it down into the side of Onyx's head, who just stood there. Onyx fell over, seeming to be knocked out. Much to the classes surprise.
"Stop!" Glynda yelled, calmly walking up to Onyx, "Onyx, Do you think this is a joke?!"
Onyx didn't awnser, he didn't even move or react to her in any way. Glynda scoffed and forced Onyx's eye open, which didn't react.
"Onyx has been knocked out... Winchester wins," Glynda said, confused. She had watched Onyx beat a student to the ground with ease, now he fell over from a simple hit. Cardin paid no mind to it though, just celebrating with his teammates. Onyx quickly regained consciousness, but didn't even get off of the ground.
"Onyx... What happened?" Glynda asked, standing over him.
"What do you mean?" Onyx asked, yawning.
"He's weak, that's what happened!" Cardin exclaimed, sitting back in his seat.
"Your school is cold... I'm a reptile, the colder it is, the weaker and slower I am... It usually isnt a problem because I usually have my natural radiation that keeps me warm. But, Palidan Jenkins removed it to protect your body's weak resistance from radiation," Onyx awnsered, halfway falling asleep again.
"Okay then... You are released from this class, go to Palidan Jenkins classroom. I'm going to send Jenkins a notice that you are coming and tell him that it is up to him to solve your problem, since he created it," Glynda sighed, shooing him away.
"Can I go too? I can make sure he doesn't fall asleep on the way!" Silver asked, raising his hand.
"I guess so," Glynda replied, waving them off.
Onyx walked sluggishly out of the classroom, followed by Silver, who quickly overtook him.
"Why did you go with me, human?" Onyx asked, watching Silver walk infront of him.
"Cause I don't like combat class, sparing ain't my thing... Also, my name is Silver, not human,"
"Are you a human?"
"Well... Yes, but I have a name," Silver complained.
"Using ones name is a sign of respect, human,"
"Wait. You don't respect me? I thought we were teammates!" Silver said, slowing down to walk beside Onyx instead of infront of him.
"We are teammates, yes. But, that doesn't automatically give you my respect. Especially if you're a human. Those who earn my respect are ones who deserve it. At this point, you don't deserve any." Onyx explained, finnaly seeing the door to Jenkins room.
"Wait, especially if I'm a human? What did humans do to you?" Silver asked, crossing his arms.
"They burned my home and slaughtered my people. I am the last of my species, because your species is too arrogant and selfish to live alongside those who are different that yourselves,"
