Hello, if you made it this far, than thank you for reading! Sadly, due to complications with Both work and School, I won't have as much time to write. While updates will slow down they Will Continue, It will just take a bit longer.
Also, this is a very a very Chapter, Sorry.
"Father," A synth announced, walking to an old man that was currently talking to a scientist.
"Yes?" Father asked, turning to the synth after finishing his conversation.
"Dr. Brooks has requested your presence," The synth returned, gesturing to a hallway. Father nodded and started walking down the hallway.
After the Brotherhood attacked them, Father and a few select scientists were able to sneakily teleport away. They had to move to an outpost in the glowing sea that used to be a vault. The vault was in a horrible state, not only was nothing sanitary, the water system was beginning to fail, leaking small doses of radiation into the water.
"Dr. Brooks, It's a pleasure to see you again," Father stated, holding out a hand.
"Same to you... follow me," Dr. Brooks replied quickly, shaking Fathers hand.
"There is no reason to rush," Father said calmly as he followed .
"Sorry, Father. But someone needs you urgently," Dr. Brooks spoke.
Father was confused as he entered another room, but his confusion turned to surprise as he saw who was in the room.
"Dr. Bright," Father snarled, crossing his arms.
"Awww. You remember me, how... Sweet," Dr. Bright replied, smiling wickedly. His face was torn and scarred from the brotherhood's attack, deep grooves and scratches sprawled across his face.
"What do you want?" Father announced, not attempting to hide his disgust of the scientist.
"Father, I'm hurt that you think of me like that," Dr. Bright replied, sweetly, " But, I did not call you to get somthing from you. I called you to say that it was a success,"
"What was a success?" Father sighed.
"My last two experiments... Interdimensional teleportation and the genetic modification of Deathclaws. Though, they got mixed up a bit,"
"How were they mixed up?" Father asked, getting intrigued.
"I sent the surpirior deathclaw into another dimension,"
"How do you know for certain?" Father asked, his hate towards Dr. Bright lightening.
"This!" Dr. Bright replied, pressing a button to turn on a monitor. The monitor flickered on, the faulty wiring in the vault struggling to supply power.
Father gasped as he saw what looked like a classroom from before the war. The camera moved, revealing a young boy with stark white hair talking to the camera, though, no audio came through. The camera looked down to a brotherhood soldier in power armor. The camera seemed to be placed several feet above the two people.
"Hmmm. Can you pan the camera to the side?" Father asked, watching the monitor closely.
"No, the camera is implanted into the head of my Deathclaw. I can only turn him hostile and make him docile," Dr. Bright said, waving at the monitor.
"Your deathclaw? We are all one institute working towards a goal," Father announced.
"No, no, no. That is done. The institute is gone. He is MY Deathclaw," Dr. Bright yelled.
"Alright... What sort of knowledge can you gain from this experiment?" Father said, pulling up a chair.
"As of right now, nothing. But, this world is ripe for harvesting resources or setting up a base... As well as almost no harmful radioactivity anywhere,"
"Not scientifically possible! The entire world was covered with nuclear fallout!" Father exclaimed.
"Did you not hear when I said another dimension?" Dr. Bright sighed.
"Sorry, I mustn't have heard you. So, why are you only able to change his aggression?" Father asked, watching the screen with interest.
"Because the module is directly connected to his Amygdala. Saying I can control his behavior is a broad statement, but aggression is the only one I am interested in," Dr. Bright explained.
"What else can you control?"
"The Amygdala is a normal part of the brain in humans that controls survival instincts. But, in the Deathclaw, it is much more interesting, and quite a bit larger. The Amygdala plays a key role in emotions. Control over it allows us to force Anger, Fear, Pleasure, and quite a bit more. Though tampering with it allows us to temporarily give him conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and different Phobias as well," Dr. Bright replied, proudly.
"Why are you only telling me this now?"
"It took me this long just to get the signal back. I sent for you as soon as I was able to connect,"
"Wait, I never saw you on the teleport platform. How did you even get here?" Father asked.
"I invented interdimensional travel. Making a simple teleporter is child's play," Dr. Bright sighed.
"Wait... you're telling me you can easily make teleporters, but neglected to tell is until now?"
"Easily make teleporters from broken teleporters at the destroyed institute, Father. Just because I can make them, doesn't mean we have the resources to do it,"
"I dont know what to say, Onyx," Jenkins sighed, pulling out a weird looking metal chair.
"What's that for?" Silver asked, watching Jenkins stand up and face his back to the wheelchair.
"My spine was damaged in a firefight with a deathclaw. Fucker stabbed me in the back with his claw," Jenkins stated, releasing his armor and falling back on the Chair.
"Most of my species are savages. I was born with the ability to be civilized," Onyx sighed, Silver Nodding slightly. Onyx watched Jenkins press a few butting on the chair. The Chair suddenly started hovering a few inches off the ground.
"Woah, did you build that?" Silver asked, looking at the Hoverchair in wonder.
"Nope," Jenkins said pressing a button, two Gauss rifles poppin of from the top of the Hoverchair, a small screen coming over his face for targeting. Jenkins pressed another button, retracting the rifles.
"I asked Ozpin for somthing like this, but I didn't expect it to be so... advanced. I'll be using this untill I find a way to replicate Fusion Cores. Onyx, for now, when you're supposed to come to my class, just, lay on the roof or somthing. Heat up enough for the rest of the day, I'll look into a way to replicate the heat of radioactive material without, you know, the radiation," Jenkins sighed, hovering to his desk and waved his hand to tell them to leave. Onyx sighed and walked way, quickly followed by Silver. Onyx had left just at the end of everyones classes. The hallway was full of people, who avoided him, giving him room to walk through the hallways with ease. Onyx suddenly stopped, his eye twitched a few times.
"Onyx, you alright?" Silver asked,
