Death300043: {Yes, this is satisfactory. Have a follow, and a favorite.}
[Vault Tech thanks you for your Contribution]
VGBlackwing: {Meh it amusing to see a fanfic revolving around a different prospective and it a sentient deathclaw humanoid but overall i have...mixed feelings for Onyx sure he'd almost died to the BOS and considering their main goal is to wipe out all weapons that was made from the old world even mutated beast and I hope Onyx could convince Jenkins he good but at the same time I don't feel sorry about Onyx mostly due to the fact he a deathclaw that could shred a power armor with ease and could take on alot of bullet and considering he is sentient, a smart deathclaw is deadly then regular one (considering every time I gets so Good fucking loot from legendary drops from Fallout 4 just to get blindsided by a fucking deathclaw...so yeah I hate them with a burning passion}

Rio Skyron: {the relationship between Onyx and Jenkins sort of reminds me of the relationship between Han and Chewie from Star Wars, if Chewie spoke English lol.}
[I don't know if I see that in their relationship, though I don't have much on their relationship at the moment and should probably flesh it out more. I mean, it's not like I should've had that done from the beginning like a responsible writer or anything like that]
Father watched the monitor with interest, seeing the Deathclaw enter a room with three other people.
"You've been watching that screen for two weeks now, Even more than me, Father," Dr. Bright laughed, his comment going unnoticed by the man.
"Say, Do you still have what you used to send the deathclaw there?" Father asked.
"Well... Yes, but without a way back, sending anything is virtually useless. And no, we don't have the supplies to build another," Bright sighed, pulling out a sleek device with a single button.
"Talking about that... Would you mind allowing me to send a courser? I want that brotherhood soldier dead," Dr. Bright spoke, drawing a suspicious look from Father.
"Why, exactly, would we waste more resources we don't currently have?" Father asked, watching Dr. Bright sigh.
"That Paladin could danger our entire operation. He would easily destroy anyone we send through unless we deal with them... The courser would have to look young, about 17-18,"
"Dr. Bright... While I don't want to put any trust in any of your plans, you have a point... I'll send a Courser over at some point," Father sighed, getting up and leaving.
"Alright... wait... At some point? Hey, not at some point, we need it Now!"
"Well, He's been gone for two weeks now. No one's seen him what so ever, how can a massive lizard just disappear like that?!" Jenkins spoke, he was currently in his power armor, standing in front of Ozpins desk, with Glynda and Ironwood standing next to it.
"The search parties came back without even a trace of him. I find this very troubling, Deathclaw or not, he is still a student here. I do hope we find him before any harm falls upon him," Ozpin replied, not taking his eyes of security cameras placed all over the school.
"Well, I'm not particularly scared of somthing hurting him," Ironwood stated, getting a sigh from Ozpin.
"He has been peaceful and cooperative for the entire time he has been here, there is no reason he should be hurting people," Ozpin stated.
"You give Onyx a lot of trust Ozpin," Jenkins stated.
"Haven't you been with him the longest? Do you not agree with me?" Ozpin asked.
"Yes I trust Onyx, but I've also seen what his species can do. The absolute destruction that just a single deathclaw can cause... Don't get me wrong, from the time I've been with him, he's been better than most humans back in our world. But, I don't know any of his motives, or his behavior patterns. I don't even know if the damn thing is a Male," Jenkins stated, getting a confused look from Ozpin.
"What do you mean you don't know if he is a Male?" Ironwood asked.
"Yea, he acts Male, in human terms. But as a deathclaw, He's just like the rest. The only true way to know a Deathclaws gender is to either ask it, which I don't think would go very well, or cut it open, " Jenkins started, getting cut off by Ozpin who held his hand up.
"Mr. Jenkins, let's focus on what's at hand," Ozpin replied, rubbing his temples.
"Paladin Jenkins. Paladin," Jenkins said.
"Sorry, Paladin Jenkins. But, we need to focus on finding him," Ozpin sighed.
"Well, I'm sorry, Ozpin. But if a deathclaw dosen't want to be found, you're not going to find it. Best thing to do is just to wait," Jenkins sighed,
"I don't get it. Why would he just disappear like that?" Glynda asked, looking between Ozpin and Jenkins.
"You think I would know?" Jenkins asked, sighing.
"I think you would at least have an idea," Glynda sighed.
Onyx sighed, he heard more Grimm coming. Onyx was currently protecting a small group of traders, who were paying him heavily to help them go from one small town to another. Onyx at first, was unsure of leaving the school, he didn't really care for it to be honest. But it was just so boring.
"Hurry up and get moving. More are coming," Onyx growled, one of the traders nodded.
"You're pretty good at this for not being a huntsman," A Female Faunus stated. He had worked with her for a few weeks now, not by choice though. She followed him everywhere, and while he got annoyed with it at first, he just learned to ignore her. The Faunus called herself a Sentinel. The Faunus had a long and scaled tail, and her weapons were dual Kusarigama's. Which were a small sickle connected by a chain to a small weight, which she would use to daze and constrict an enemy before getting close and finish them off.
"Come on, big guy. Talk to me. You know you want to," The Faunus stated, walking backwards infront of Onyx. Onyx sighed and ignored her, just like he always did, getting a pouty look form the Faunus. Onyx looked to the sky as he heard the droning of a bulkhead, it flew right over them and stopped lowering down, blocking their way forward.
"Sorry, Onyx. But they played us a lot for this," One of the Traders stated, turning around and stared leading the group of traders back where they came. The side opened, Revealing Paladin Jenkins in his power armor and with his vulcan at his side. Next to him was Qrow, Glynda, and Ozpin.
"See? Told you I'd find him," Qrow Stated, smiling as Ozpin nodded slightly.
Onyx growled and hunched down, ready to attack. The Faunus looked between Ozpin and Onyx a few times before pulling out her weapons and turning to Ozpin, ready to fight as well. Paladin Jenkins raised his Vulcan, but was stopped by Ozpin.
"Onyx, may I ask you to come speak with us?" Ozpin asked, taking a sip form his mug. Onyx growled, not moving from his stance.
"How bout' we go over to a restaurant and talk about it over some food?" Jenkins asked, stepping down from the Bulkhead.
"And why would I do that?" Onyx sighed, letting down his stance slightly.
"Mr. Onyx, there are many reasons. Main one is why you decided to just leave my school without telling anyone," Ozpin stated, smiling.
"My reasons are not yours to know," Onyx spoke, releasing his stance.
"And who is this?" Jenkins questioned, gesturing to the Faunus.
"I am Sentienal Fay," The Faunus spoke happily, making Ozpin raise his eyebrows in surprise and made Jenkins freeze up for a second.
"A Sentinel. Last I remember, there was only one of them left," Ozpin stated.
"Yep, he taught me everything I know." Fay laughed sheepishly.
"Interesting..." Ozpin said, stepping down from the vehicle along with the other two still in it.
"So are you going to take up my offer?" Jenkins asked, looking to Onyx. Onyx sighed, turned around and started walking away. Jenkins looked over to Ozpin, he seemed disappointed.
"Well, what do we do now?" Qrow asked.
"Paladin Jenkins, do you have any ideas?" Ozpin questioned, looking to the power armored man.
"I've got one, don't know if it'll work," Jenkins stated, walking forward and calling for Onyx to stop. Onyx growled, looking behind him.
"How bout we make a deal?" Jenkins asked, getting a scoff from Onyx.
"You said you like Nuka-Cola right?" Jenkins asked, "Turns out, I got one bottle. Last bottle in this place," Onyx turned to Jenkins and walked up to him.
"And what do you propose?" Onyx asked.
"How about you come back to the school, just until the end of the Vytal festival. After that, you can leave and go back to whatever you want," Ozpin answered, smiling.
"Can I go as well? Always wanted to take part in the Tournament," Fay asked.
"Of course. You are his new team member, correct?" Ozpin asked.
"Yup! We always stay by each others sides, at least, I do. He dosen't like me very much, even though I pay more than half of the rent," Fay stated, smiling as she patted Onyx's arm.
"You are more than welcome to leave when you want,"
"Ehh, you need me," Fay spoke, laughing slightly.
"Do I?" Onyx asked, following Jenkins into the Bulkhead.
The Bulkhead landed slowly, its back opening to reveal that they were landed in the courtyard of Beacon, it was night, and the people who woke up to the sound of the Bulkhead, seemed to stay inside.
"Onyx. Jenkins. Follow me. Theres something that I need to talk to you about. Glynda, if you wouldn't mind, please show Fay to the room they'll be staying in," Ozpin announced, walking towards Beacon tower. Qrow followed them as well, seeming to be interested in what Ozpin was doing. The four entered an elevator, where Ozpin pressed a small, almost unnoticeable button.
"You sure this is a smart idea, Oz?" Qrow asked as the elevator started moving.
"Not entirely," Ozpin replied, Qrow rubbed his temples, seeming annoyed at the situation. The elevator opened to reveal a long hallway, dimly lit and seeming to be a dark Shade of green. Onyx froze as he exited the elevator, it smelled clean, sanitized meticulously, it smelled like the institute.
Onyx was immediately on gaurd as they walked through the hall, eventually stopping infront of a pod with a woman in it, seeming to be sleeping or in a coma of sorts.
"What's this?" Jenkins asked, looking to the woman.
"Do you believe in Magic, Paladin?" Ozpin asked, turning to Onyx and Jenkins.
"Not really," The Paladin responded.
"Then let me tell you a story; Deep in the forests of Remnant, beside a great and mighty river, stood the small, fragile home of a cold, frail man- a lone wizard.
Hidden from the dangers and distractions of the world, the wizard seldom had visitors. But on this day, as he peered out his window, his gaze fell upon a young maiden.
Calmly, she sat beneath his tree in a state of absolute tranquility. When the wizard demanded an explanation, the maiden simply replied, "My name is Winter. I am on a journey, and I am waiting for my sisters."
With that, she closed her eyes and sat in silence.
The wizard told himself the girl was a fool, but the longer she sat, the more he wished to share in the serenity the young maiden enjoyed. In time, he grew tired and decided to close his eyes as well, thinking on this strange predicament.
Upon opening his eyes, the wizard was befuddled to find that a second maiden appeared beneath his tree, cheerful and spry, with a basket of fruit and flowers.
When he asked for an explanation, the girl simply replied,
"My name is Spring. I am on a journey, and I am waiting for my sisters."
To show her gratitude for his reluctant hospitality, the girl retrieved a handful of seeds from her basket and planted them in the wizard's garden.
The old hermit could hardly believe his eyes as the maiden turned what was once a mere pile of dirt and manure into a beautiful garden, from which life would surely blossom.
It's likely he would have gazed for hours, were it not for the unfamiliar laughter he heard from beneath his tree.
A young woman with a warm smile now stood beside the two maidens.
The wizard begged her to introduce herself, to which she happily responded,
"My name is Summer. I am on a journey, and I am waiting for my sister."
"Of course." thought the wizard. But another chirp of laughter left the old man perplexed.
What in the world was so funny?
As it turned out, it was him. The new arrival found the wizard's insistence on staying indoors so very amusing.
Why choose to view the world through a small window when the door leading out to it was right at his side?
It was a compelling argument. And after only a moment of brief hesitation, the wizard left his home -
- and stepped outside.
The warmth of the sun brought with it a surge of energy and life, and soon the wizard wasn't feeling much like himself anymore.
He was feeling much better.
As the day drew to a close, the maidens and the wizard all settled down and prepared a feast. Winter set the table. Spring supplied the crops, Summer prepped the meal, and the wizard was the happiest he'd been in ages.
But in all the excitement, he nearly failed to notice the delicate woman that now stood beneath his tree.
He smiled, and beckoned her to join them, asking only for her name.
"My name is Fall," she replied softly. "I am on a journey, and am here to meet my sisters. Who are you?"
"Me?", the wizard wondered. "Well, I am but an old hermit - I have lived in these woods alone for centuries and I'm afraid my story is not very interesting, as I have no one to love and nothing to my name."
The elder sister looked up at all that surrounded them.
"But sir, do you not see? You have so much."
It was true. With their help, it was now clear to see that the wizard had everything he could ever need. He was grateful, but a question lingered in his mind.
"Why me?", he asked. "Why did the four of you choose to open my eyes? To share with me your gifts? Why am I so special?"
The four sisters looked to one another, perplexed. Finally, the eldest spoke.
"I beg your pardon sir, but we did not do these things for you because you were special. We do what we can for everyone, because we are able."
The old wizard was at a loss. Never in his years had he come across such kindness. It was in that moment that he knew what should be done.
The wizard summoned his magic, every ounce he could muster, and bestowed it upon the sisters.
He smiled. "Take this gift, and know now that you are able to do so much more."
Now armed with the elements, the very powers of nature, and the unimaginable magic of the wizard, the four maidens, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, promised to carry on with their journey, using their gifts to aid others, just as they aided him. One by one, the sisters left. Before they did, they made one final promise. They promised to return each and every year, to visit their dear friend,"
"Let me guess. She's one of these 'Maidens'?" Jenkins asked.
