Glynda walked across the school grounds as calmly as she could. It was early morning, and students were socializing and getting personal matters sorted. Though from some of the looks she got from some of the students around, she didn't look as calm as she hoped. Though, she could think of no way to be calm. One of their professors not just attacked, but attacked right before the Vytal Festival. Ozpin seemed extremely worried about the whole situation, which was unusual. He said that the professor was attacked by the flase maiden, and immediately called the inner circle to meet, which now included Onyx and Fay, whom Gynda was now going to retrieve.

Glynda picked up her pace as she neared the house, trying to hold herself back from running. Glynda got to the house and immediately opened the door and closed it behind her, sighing. Glynda looked up to see Onyx curled in a circle sleeping, with Fay snuggled up to him. Glynda wanted to question what she was looking at, but didn't have time to do so.

"You two, get up. We must meet Ozpin immediately," Glynda spoke firmly. One of Onyx's eyes opened slightly, before closing again, disinterested.

"Paladin Jenkins was attacked yesterday. He is in critical condition... We need to get back to Ozpin," Glynda stated again. Onyx growled, moving to get up. Fay's eyes shot open as she was dropped to the cold floor.

"And why does this envolve me?" Onyx asked, standing groggily above Glynda.

"Your time to decide to accept the Maidens powers has just been reduced. Ozpin is certain that the false maiden is the cause of the Paladins current situation," Glynda spoke, already opening the door. The three moved quickly, walking to the main tower to meet Ironwood next to the elevator.

"We should cancel the tournament. We cant risk them making a move and have mass panic," Ironwood spoke, as the four entered the elevator. The elevator ride was quiet and suspenseful, until the door opened to reveal the Ozpins office, and Qrow waiting for them.

"Never seen Oz like this. He almost seems scared," Qrow spoke, looking back at Ozpin, who was shifting uncomfortably in his chair.

"Ozpin. They're here," Qrow spoke, getting Ozpins attention, which was planted to a computer screen.

"Good. Say, Ironwood. Is this one of your students?" Ozpin asked, turning the screen to show a student wandering the hall, seeming to be lost.

"By the looks of it, yes. Why?" Ironwood asked, getting a sigh from Ozpin.

"Ozpin. We're all a little on edge, and paranoid, so let's get Onyx and Fay caught up before we take action," Qrow started.

Cinder sighed as a knock came from the door, waving her had to get someone else to awnser it. Emerald walked to the door and cracked it, seeing a student waiting. Emerald opened the door fully, seeing the student. The student was wearing a black leather coat, with darkened sunglasses.

"Is Cinder Fall here?" The student asked, watching as the woman in red dress walked up.

"Yes?" Cinder asked.

"I am X8-30. We have information to exchange," The student spoke in a monotone voice.

"You must be the... courser... right?" Cinder asked, seeming to forget the name at first.

"Correct," X8-30 spoke, walking into the room and closing the door behind him.

"So, are you sure you can get us the location of the maiden?" Cinder asked.

"The location of the Fall maiden is already known to the institute. Our payment is required before we give you the location," X8-30 spoke.

"Really? And what is your payment?" Cinder asked.

"A deathclaw. I will personally help naturalize it. As well as help with the death of the maiden," X8-30 spoke.

Onyx sighed. The finals of the tournament had just begun. There were people everywhere, and it was annoying.

"Onyx!" Someone screamed. Onyx turned to see Fay standing next to a small noodle shop. Onyx growled and walked to her, Fay had no lien at the moment, she had spent it all on upgrading her weapons, so he had to pay for food. He did not want any noodles at the moment, but there was nothing else appetizing to eat.

That's when it happened, a massive Nevermore flew above them. Screams rang out in every direction, people were yelling and running as bullheads flew overhead and dropped Grimm into the crowds. Onyx sighed and ran forward with Fay, taking on the multitudes of Grimm that seemed to just keep coming.

Onyx and Fay were soon met with Glynda, who ran up to them, "We must get to the Vault!" Glynda yelled, turning to the tower to find a massive group of Grimm in their way, along with students who were fighting them.

Onyx ran up to them and stomped his foot, roaring as loud as he could. The Grimm seemed to look over to Onyx for a second before retreating from the area, clearing a path to the tower.

"Go! I will hold them off!" Glynda yelled, walking to a group of students, talking to them. The students nodded and ran up to defend the towers entrance, along with Glynda, who started helping any wounded students.

The elevator ride was quiet and nervous, and when the door opened, they sprinted through the corridor. As they made their way deeper into the vault untill they came up to the pods, one of them seemingly outfitted to fit Onyx. Ozpin walked back and forth nervously, he seemed different.

"Onyx. Thank the gods, You're here. Have you made your decision?" Ozpin asked quickly. Onyx shrugged, seemingly indifferent about it.

"If you do, hop in, we don't have much time," Ozpin spoke, pressing a button and letting the pod open.

The five turned their heads as the sound of the elevator closing made itself known. Somthing was coming. Onyx sighed and stepped into the pod, letting it close upon him.

"Are you ready, Onyx?" Ozpin asked, looking to him.

"Yes,"

Soon after, a strange whirring came about, followed by Onyx roaring in pain.

A blue lazer whizzed by Ozpin, missing the pod holding Amber.

"Damn," A student spoke, wearing a leather coat and holding a white rifle. Standing next to him was Cinder fall, an arrow already being let loose from her bow.

Fay was standing infront of the pod at the time, and received the arrow straight through her shoulder. Fay screamed in pain, dropping her weapons. Ozpin looked down to Fay for a second, only to be hit in the chest by a lazer. Ozpin fell to the floor as pain radiated from the place he was shot. Fay suddenly shot up as the two walked closer to the pods. Fay hald back her hands as if she was getting ready to push a heavy object, then thrust them forward, a torrent of lightning flowing through her hands.

The lightning seemed to arc and pulse as it formed itself into a hemisphere around the pods. X8-30 walked up and touched what was obviously a shield, only for the lightning to arc into his hand, flow through his circuits and quickly turn him into ash.

Cinder took a step back in surprise as the courser was so easily dispatched, but shook her head and let out a torrent of fire into the shield. Fay gritted her teeth as the fire slammed into her lightning shield, she could already feel the shield failing.

Ozpin groaned as he got up, he could feel the weakness in his breath.

"Ozpin. How long until it is done?" Fay yelled, falling to a knee. The shield wavered, getting smaller every second.

"Just a little bit longer!" Ozpin yelled back, the roar of the flames outside the shield becoming almost deafening. Ozpin lied, he didn't know if it would even work. A non-human or Faunus getting the maiden's power was never even thought about before. The two couldn't even hear the pained roars of Onyx as the Torrent of fire advanced down upon them. Ozpin had to kneel down as the shield shrunk, the fire outside of it getting closer with every second.

Then a bright flash of light erupted from the pods, followed by a shockwave. Fay and Ozpin were thrown away violently, with Cinder being pushed back a good distance. Cinder noticed that the shield that Fay had put up was now down, and immediately summoned her now and arrow, firing straight into the previous Maidens chest. Cinder smiled as the arrow flew through the air, hitting its target with deadly accuracy.

Cinder stood still for a few seconds as she waited to be given the rest of her powers, but was interrupted as she was hit with a bolt of lightning sending her to the ground. Cinder recovered quickly and looked up, finding herself trapped under Onyx's clawed hand. Cinder watched in horror as one of Onyx's eyes let out a fiery glow, the glow colored jet black.

Cinder panicked and let out a blast of flames, sending Onyx back a few steps and releasing her. Onyx gave a grin as he felt the magic of the Maidens flowed through him. Onyx thought of the most powerful thing he could think of. From what Ozpin said, Maidens could use magic that didn't have to be elemental.

Onyx grinned as he summoned somthing in his hand, a device from his homeland, somthing that even he feared to be hit by. Onyx stomped forward, throwing the object in his hand as hard as he could. Cinder gasped as a small metal ball-like thing slammed into her stomach, then dropped to her feet. The device sat for a second before erupting in a ball of flames, sending Cinder flying towards Onyx. Her Aura immediately failed against the power of the Mini-nuke, exposing her to damage.

Cinder screamed as Onyx swiped his claws at her, one of his long claws hitting its mark and ripping through the flesh on her face as well as one of her eyes, forming a deep and jagged gash throughout the right side of her face. Cinder held her face as Onyx walked towards her, but was stopped as ice formed around his feet, holding him in place.

Cinder quickly sprinted for the elevator, only to be met with Glynda, Phyrra, Jaune, and Ruby. Jaune almost immediately fainted as he saw the false Maidens torn face, the rest hesitated, allowing Cinder to run past them.

Glynda stood still for a second before running deeper into the vault, the three students following after her. Glynda turned a corner and slammed face first into Onyx, who was dragging Fay along behind him.

"Onyx, I'm assuming the procedure worked?" Glynda asked, getting up. The two conscious students followed quickly after, Ruby's eyes lighting up as she saw Onyx.

"Yes," Onyx replied, looking past Glynda at the now closed elevator.

"Onyx! Where were you?!" Ruby yelled, seeming happy to see him again.

"Where I wanted to be," Onyx replied, getting a sad look from Ruby.

"Well, let's get Ozpin and get out of here, we need to help evacuate the area," Glynda spoke, trying to walk forward, only to be stopped by Onyx. Glynda looked up at Onyx, receiving a sad nod.

"The tower fell, Beacon is lost, and now Ozpin is dead... What are we going to do?" Phyrra asked, looking to Glynda, who shrugged sadly.

"Where are we going to go?" Onyx asked, the group walking towards the elevator.

"I think I'm going to go back home... you are welcome to come if you want," Ruby spoke, looking to Phyrra and glancing at Onyx. The group entered the elevator, with Onyx holding The two unconscious humans on his shoulders.
