"I am not a human you overgrown iguana! I am a Faunus! What about that do you not understand?!" Fay yelled as she and Onyx walked along a long winding path into a town.

"You act like a human. You look like a human. The only difference is that you have a tail," Onyx replied as they entered a small town, the two going straight to a small restaurant, where inside, a small board filled with different quests and posters laid.

"Find us a seat. I'm gonna look at the quests," Fay spoke happily, separating off from Onyx.

Onyx took a quick look around the restaurant, his eyes settling on a man in a dirty white lab coat sat at a small table, his scarred and torn face giving a sickly smile as Onyx approached.

"My... Child. Look how you've grown," The man spoke, his tone seemingly joyful.

"I am not your child," Onyx growled, the mans smile quickly turning sour. His hand shifted slightly under the desk, A sudden feeling of dizziness flowed through Onyx's body.

"Sit, child," The man ordered, Onyx following his order with rigidity. The man, which Onyx now recognized as Dr. Bright, smiled once more.

"Look at you. My tests went better than I ever expected... Though the institute disagrees. They said I was insane, wasted a corser! Well, now I have a new benefactor. A new leader. A new institute. And I will own this world, RIP up the ground and plant the seeds for a perfect generation. And with you at my side, a half maiden deathclaw with powers untold. Nothing will stand in my way," Dr. Bright stated giddily.

"But, for now. We must meet my benefactor. She has personally requested your presence," Dr. Bright spoke, pulling out a small device, aiming it at Onyx and pressing the button, a flash of blue energy leaving nothing in his now empty chair. Dr. Bright then turned the device to himself, and with a click of a button, he found himself and meeting room.

The meeting room was completely empty. That was, expect for two people, one, woman wearing a very long, short-sleeved black robe that obscures her feet and partially drags across the ground, with its distinctive feature being a curved high collar with dark red trim bordering the outer edge of a narrow window exposing her bust in a vertical ellipsis resembling an eye, and completed with a long shawl emblazoned with three interconnected, maroon-colored vertical elliptic sigils resembling a trio of overseeing eyes above a series of maroon-colored diamond emblems. She also wears a ring resembling an insect on her right index finger. The other was Cinder, she smiled deviously as she saw Onyx.

"Dr. Bright. And the other half of the Fall maiden. Such a lovely sight. What did you say his name was?" The woman asked calmly.

"Salem, my queen, this is Onyx Bright. My life work, My child," Dr. Bright spoke, happily.

"Is he always like this?" Salem asked, looking at Onyx, who stared forward with a blank expression.

"No. His species is very... aggressive," Dr. Bright then held up his arm, showing a Pip-boy, "I can control his emotions and actions. Right now, he is set to be completely subservient to me and you,"

"Perfect. Is that device the only way to control him?" Salem asked, watching as Cinder slowly made her way behind the Doctor.

"Of course. Now in exchange for my help, you will be giving me and entire continent in this world correct?" Dr. Bright asked. Salem nodded, but, not to Bright, to Cinder, who in a single swift action, sent an arrow through the back of the Doctors neck, who crumpled to the floor.

"Nicely done, Cinder. Now, Onyx look at me," Salem spoke, to which Onyx's head snapped over to look at her, "Kill her," Salem ordered, waving a hand at Cinder. Onyx turned slowly to face Cinder, a low growl emanating from his maw.

Cinder took a step back, surprised. Onyx was on her within seconds, a single slash of his claws lowered her aura by half. A fierce jet black glow come from one of his eyes.

"I am terribly sorry, Cinder. But I only need one fall maiden, so, of you want to live, prove yourself capable," Salem spoke, grabbing the pip-boy off of the dead Doctors arm, as well as the teleportation device.

Cinder tried to attack, but every time she turned to do so, she would come closer and closer to Onyxs swiping claws, which were now glowing a bright blue, as he used his powers to cover them with lightning. But, Onyx took one step to far, and gave her a split second to retaliate, which she took to release a torrent of fire, lighting, and rocks.

Onyx flew backwards, there were cuts and broken scales covering his body. Blood flowed through a gash in his underbelly. It looked like he couldn't even get up.

Cinder smiled, and summoned her bow. Aiming directly for Onyx's flaming eye. The arrow flew true, and hit exactly where she wanted, the arrow embedding itself through his eye socket.

Salem smiled, the Pip-boy showed Onyx's "Health" which was now on 1, but it changed, suddenly, his health was full. A star appeared beside Onyx's name at the top of the pip-boy.

Salem looked up to see the arrow fell out of Onyx's eye, and the wounds he received close. Cinder was currently looking over at Salem, not noticing the now healed Deathclaw behind her. Cinder turned quicky as she herd a footstep, but she was too late, Onyx clamped his jaws down on top of the false Maiden. Cinder screamed as she felt the pressure on her aura grow quickly. Cinders Aura flashed and broke as he bit down, ending the fight as a sickly crunch echoed through the room. Onyx's eyes flared as the full power of the fall Maiden flowed through him. Onyx froze immediately, the flames over his eyes receding, and his eyes going blank. Onyx dropped Cinders body mindlessly, looking over to Salem with the same blank stare.

Salem's face shifted, frowning at the Deathclaws blankness. Salem switched through the menus on the Pip-boy, changing a few settings on it. Salem also took a few moments to read notes that were taken on Onyx's species, in particular, a explanation of what he was;

Intelligent deathclaws are a variety of deathclaws in New California that were experimented on by the Enclave, which gave them higher intelligence and the ability to speak. This subspecies was intelligent for deathclaws, about the equivalent of an eight-year-old, with some individuals on par with average adult humans. Their learning capacity was very high, and they were capable of abstract thought and reasoning. Although they did not have vocal cords, the deathclaws seemed to mimic human speech similarly to a parrot. Socially, they had rigidly hierarchical, peaceful, and pack-based ethical code. They were extremely loyal to the pack as a whole, treating it as a family unit rather than having individual families. Fights within a pack are unheard of, and the pack's leader controls many aspects of life, such as choosing and matching female and male deathclaws for reproduction. Due to the lack of successful experiments, Subject-295 Is the last known surviving member of the subspecies of Deathclaw.

Onyx's expression changed, going from a blank stare to a confused one.

"Where am I? Who are you?" Onyx asked, looking around confusedly.

"My name is Salem. I saved you from the institute, and I offer you a place in my pack," Salem spoke, smiling.

"I-I can't remember..." The Deathclaw spoke worriedly.

"It is quite alright, young one. I will lead you, I will show you the way," Salem replied softly, placing a hand on the Intelligent Deathclaws head. The Deathclaw lowered itself, showing complete subservience to the now smiling Salem.

"You shall call me Salem," Salem ordered, The deathclaw giving the slightest of nods.

"I can't remember anything," The Deathclaw repeated.

"That's quite alright. For now, your name will be... Set," Salem spoke, smiling as The Deathclaw nodded.

"Good. My young Set... Come with me, I have your new pack brothers to introduce you to," Salem spoke, walking out of the room and leading Onyx to a massive room where three people sat. Arthur Watts, Tyrian Callows and Hazel Rainart all looked up to see Salem enter alongside the Intelligent Deathclaw.

"You can sit there," Salem spoke, gesturing to the empty seat next to Tyrian.

"Who is this?" Hazel asked, looking over to Salem.

"This is Set. She is our new Fall maiden," Salem spoke, smiling. The three took a second to look at Set, who seemed to be confused at how to use a chair, and just ended up standing behind it.

"Set. These are your pack brothers, they are the ones you will be working with from now on," Salem stated, gesturing to the three.

Watts frowned, "And what about Cinder? Did her failure to kill the silver eyed girl finally catch up to her?" Set glanced over to Watts, Set was sure that she knew someone with Silver eyes.

"Watts. Enough about that, we must get to the matters at hand," Salem announced.

"Dr. Watts, you are to take Cinder's place and meet with our informant in Mistral," Salem ordered.

Watts nodded, "Very good,"

"Tyrian, I want you to continue your hunt for the Spring Maiden," Salem continued.

"Gladly," Tyrian laughed Giddily.

"And Hazel, I'm sending you to the leader of the White Fang. Adam Taurus has arranged the meeting. The boy continues to prove loyal. Ensure that Sienna Khan feels the same,"

"As you wish," Hazel replied.

"What about the Silver human?" Set asked, innocently. Salem thought for a second, before looking to Tyrian.

"Tyrian?"

"Yes, my lady?"

"Spring can wait. Find the girl that weakened Cinder," Salem spoke, watching as he giggled and clapped.

"Take Set with you. And if possible, bring her to me," Salem

Tyrian took a quick look at Set, smiling wickedly, and laughing maniacally.
