Yugioh GX Crowler Au

Bastion glanced down at his hand again and nodded to himself.
"I summon Carboneddon in defense position." Bastion said making Jaden raise an eyebrow. Why was that monster so familiar to her? (Carboneddon attack 800/ defense 600 During either player's turn, if this card is in your Graveyard and 10 or more cards are on top of this card, you can remove from play this card from your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Hyozanryu" from your hand or Deck. )
"Your move." Bastion said nodding to Jaden who smirked.
"I draw!" Jaden said and she paused to stare at the card for a moment. She was silent and still as she stared at the card before she took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
"Jaden?" Bastion questioned, concerned about her out of character actions. Quite a few of the other students were murmuring curiously about what card he drew to have that kind of impact on him. Crowler, Fonda, Sheppard, and Satyr were all extremely quiet where they were sitting. They knew what Deck number 1 was comprised of and they had a feeling that they knew what card she had drawn to make her react like that.
"I'm fine. The card is just one…it's special you can say. That's all." Jaden shook herself from her mind and opened her eyes. That just made most of the students even more curious about the card.
"I summon Vampire Lady in attack mode!" Jaden said playing the card he had drawn and making Bastions eyes widen slightly. Jaden stared at the hologram with sad far away eyes, mouthing the word 'mama' to herself while Crowler felt his own eyes get misty.
"Cammy…" Crowler murmured his wifes nickname as he stared at the hologram which was actually pretty close to his wife's vampire form.
(Vampire Lady attack 1550/ defense 1550. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Declare 1 card type and your opponent sends 1 card of that type from their deck to the Graveyard.)
"I see. You're using a vampire deck. You're right, I'm not surprised that you have a deck of that type." Bastion said giving her a secretive smile while she smiled back at him, the two of them sharing an inside joke that none of the other students were privy of knowing.
"Is it just me or does it seem like Bastion is almost flirting with Jaden?" Alexis asked curiously as she glanced at a few of the other girls that she was sitting with.
"He totally is." Mindy said and she grinned slightly, Alexis was pretty sure that her friend was already planning on trying to hook them up.
"I ship it!" Jasmine said and she and Mindy immediately began whispering frantically to each other while Chumley and Syrus seemed to be torn on whether they should be amused or annoyed. After all Jaden was their friend and roommate, was practically their brother!
"Pardon me if I'm wrong Jaden but doesn't the Vampire Archetype have some fusion monsters in their deck?" Bastion questioned and Jaden smirked at him, one hand on her hip.
"Oh they do but I don't like to use them. For this deck in particular I prefer to go…natural…" Jaden said with an amused glint in her eyes that had Bastion snickering as well, although he was blushing a bit.
"I see." Bastion said amused and almost everyone was staring between the two with question marks over their heads.
"Now Vampire Lady. Attack and destroy his Carboneddon! Piercing Fangs!" Jaden ordered and the vampire woman flew at the carbon dragon and destroyed it with ease.
"Now I'll place two cards face down and end my turn." Jaden said putting down two cards and then passing to Bastion.
"I draw!" Bastion said and noticed the trap card he had drawn. It was a backup plan for his Non-fusion Area but could be useful against most decks depending on how it was played. He couldn't use it right now though, it was too early to say what her trump card might be.
"I set one card face down and summon Oxygeddon in attack mode!" Bastion said summoning the air dragon forth and making Jaden hum slightly as she smiled. She knew what kind of deck he was running now.
(Oxygeddon attack 1800/ defense 800. When this card is destroyed by battle with a FIRE monster and sent to the graveyard, inflict 800 damage to both players.)
"Ah an H2o deck? I don't think I've gone against one of those before…Water dragon is your end game I'm guessing?" Jaden asked and Bastion smirked at her, thrilled at how easily she had deduced what kind of deck he was running and what his ace monster would be in this deck.
"Let's see if I even have to use him. Oxygeddon attack Vampire Lady!" Bastion ordered his monster who roared and lunged for the green haired hologram.
"I activate my trap card! Mirror force!" Jaden's card flipped up almost immediately and the air dragon not just hit the mirror like force field but bounced off and destroyed itself.
"I should have known you'd have a trap to protect your monster. I set a card and end my turn." Bastion said not looking bothered by the loss of his oxygen dragon.
"My draw!" Jaden said drawing a card and then smirking when she saw what it was.
"By discarding one zombie-type monster I can special summon this! Rise Jack-o-Bolan!" Jaden said sending one of his cards to the graveyard and special summoning a monster that looked like it came out of a halloween horror house.
(Jack-o-Bolan attack 1500/ defense 2200. You can discard 1 Zombie monster; Special Summon this card from your hand. During your opponent's Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Zombie monster in either GY; Special Summon that monster (but banish it when it leaves the field), then banish this face-up card until the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Jack-o-Bolan" once per turn.)
"I also activate my field spell Vampire Kingdom!" Jaden said as she played the field spell and the arena became dark with misty buildings and a creepy blood red moon hung in the 'sky'.
"This field spell gives all Zombie type monsters 500 attack during damage calculations. Not much I know but…" Jaden grinned slyly at Bastion who's eyes widened a bit. That added to her two monsters who were both zombie types with 1500 attack points…that was 2000 attack a piece! Enough to take out his life points in one go.
"But enough to end this duel." Bastion said with a grimace. He had stood no chance since he hadn't activated his Cursed Seal trap yet. He had missed his chance to chain it with the field spell.
"I'm not going to do that. Not this turn anyways. I want to see what you have in store for me Bastion…that won't stop me from putting a hurt on your life points however!" Jaden said smiling at him and he strangely didn't mind her hitting his life points. He was thankful for her not outright killing him and ending the duel even though she had every right to.
"My life points are yours. Thank you for giving me at least one extra turn." Bastion said and Jaden blushed a bit at that even as she ordered Vampire Lady to attack.
"Trust me you're going to wish I hadn't." Jaden said with a sly smirk even as Bastions life points dropped.

"Oh they are definitely flirting." Mindy said her eyes devouring their every move and expression.
"Jaden seems to be giving as good as he's getting. I didn't know they were into guys, much less each other." Jasmine said watching just as closely as Mindy was.
"Anyone else feel that heavy dark feeling in the air?" Syrus asked shivering and he wasn't the only one. They all saw a chill run down Bastions spine as well and he glanced warily over at the teachers, seeing how he was getting no less than three angry protective glares.
"I draw!" Bastion quickly distracted himself however and he nodded slightly when he saw the card he had drawn.
"I play Carbogeddon in attack mode!" Bastion said summoning the brown watery kind of looking dinosaur thing.
(Hydrogeddon attack 1600/ defense 1000 When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Hydrogeddon" from your Deck.)
"I activate Jack-O-Bolan's effect! During your main phase I can target 1 Zombie monster in either of our graveyards and special summon it! Of course the cost is that I have to banish Jack until the End Phase but since that takes him out of attack range for your Hydrogeddon, I don't think he'll mind too much." Jaden said with a grin towards the monster that tipped it's hat to her and then did a backflip into the banish pile while her Graveyard glowed.
"I know I have no zombie type monsters in my graveyard…which means the Zombie Monster you discarded to summon Jack-O-Bolan in the first place is your target." Bastion said and Jaden grinned at him now.
"Right on the nose Bastion!" Jaden said as the card was ejected from her Graveyard and she caught it with ease.
"Say hello to Vampire Lord in attack position!" Jaden said grinning as she summoned out her Vampire Lord who stood beside Vampire Lady with a fanged smirk on his face as he eyed the boy in yellow.
(Vampire Lord attack 2000/ defense 1500 If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Declare 1 type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); your opponent sends 1 card of that type from their Deck to the GY. Once per turn, during your next Standby Phase after this card in your possession was destroyed and sent to your GY by an opponent's card effect: Special Summon this card from the GY.)
"You're quite good with that deck, it's obvious I can't attack your Vampire Lord with my Hydrogeddon…however your Vampire Lady is wide open! Hydrogeddon attack!" Bastion ordered and his beast slammed into the green haired vampress, although Bastion felt horrible for what he had done when he saw the look of brief pain and sorrow on Jaden's face before it was covered up. Vampire Lord suddenly looked a lot angrier as he glared at the Ra boy and there was a sudden spike in killing intent from the teachers area.

Jaden 4000 – 50 = 3950 LP)
"Now thanks to Hydrogeddon's ability you can summon another Hydrogeddon from your deck." Jaden said and her voice was a bit lower now but Bastion nodded, giving her a small apologetic smile as he summoned out his next monster.
"Yes…now I play Living Fossil to special summon my Oxygeddon from the Grave and equip it with Living Fossil which makes it lose it's effect and 1000 attack points." Bastion said and Jaden nodded slightly.
"And then let me guess. You're going to play Bonding H20 to tribute the two Hydrogeddons and one Oxygeddon so you can special summon Water Dragon." Jaden said and Bastion smirked at her.
"Right on the nose Jaden." Bastion said playing his spell card and summoning out his Water Dragon in attack mode.
(Water Dragon attack 2800/ defense 2600 This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Bonding - H2O". While this card is face-up on the field, the ATK of FIRE monsters and Pyro-Type monsters become 0. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 2 "Hydrogeddons" and 1 "Oxygeddon" from your Graveyard.)
"Now I'll give you a turn of reprieve to pay you back for your earlier mercy." Bastion said not ordering his monster to attack even though it could take out Vampire Lord. He owed her this much at least. Her Jack-O-Bolan reappeared on the field and it didn't look happy at all.
"Thank you but…you'll regret that. I draw!" Jaden said drawing a card and staring at it for all of a second before she smirked.
"Vampire Lord." Jaden spoke to the monster who glanced back at her and then smirked back and nodded once.
"I banish my Vampire Lord to special summon out my Vampire Genesis in attack mode!" Jaden said making the Vampire Lord fade into dust only for a much bigger and meaner looking creature to replace it.
(Vampire Genesis attack 3000/ defense 2100 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Vampire Lord" you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: You can discard 1 Zombie-Type monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 Zombie-Type monster in your Graveyard with a Level less than the discarded Zombie-Type monster's; Special Summon that target.)
"Oh dear." Bastion said as he realized he had made a mistake by repaying her earlier kindness in not outright obliterating him early into the duel.
"Now I play my face down card! A continuous spell that you're familiar with. Burden of the Mighty!" Jaden said and Bastion swore under his breath. He'd have to use his Cursed Seal.
"I activate my Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell. It allows me to select one spell card you play and negate it's effect as well as keep you from playing any other spell cards of that name for the rest of the duel!" Bastion said making Burden of the Mighty go to the graveyard, which made Bastion breath a sigh of relief that he wouldn't have to deal with that.
"Good. I was hoping you'd do that." Jaden near purred making Bastion tense as he stared at her, wondering what she had in her hand.
"Now I can activate my spell card Overpowering Eye! It lets me pick one monster with 2000 or less attack points and it can attack you directly this turn!" Jaden said and Bastions eyes widened as he looked at Jack-O-Bolan who was given glowing red eyes now.
"Now then…just because I'm petty like this. Vampire Genesis…get rid of that Water Dragon! And don't forget about the effects of Vampire Kingdom during Damage Calculation!" Jaden ordered and Bastion could only watch as his Water Dragon was destroyed and some of the damage went through and hit him.

Bastion 1950 – 700 = 1250 LP)
"Since my Water dragon was destroyed I can summon out my two Hydrogeddon's and my Oxygeddon from the Graveyard in attack position!" Bastion said even though he knew it was futile while Jaden smirked at him.
"You can…but it won't save you." Jaden said making Bastion sigh since he knew she was right.
"Jack? Attack him directly!" Jaden ordered and the now darkly grinning pumpkin monster thing was more than happy to comply as it flew through the Hydrogeddon in it's way and slammed it's staff into Bastions stomach with extreme prejudice, sending the boy falling to the floor coughing harshly as his life points hit zero.

Jaden WINS!)
"Good duel Bastion. We'll have to have a rematch sometime." Jaden said walking across the dueling platform to give Bastion a hand up, causing the boy to nod as he let her pull him up.
"Agreed. I'll be sure to make several decks, each just to combat one or more of your own decks." Bastion said as he got his coughing under control and she grinned at him.
"Good luck with that! Just hit me up whenever you're ready for a rematch!" Jaden said shaking Bastions hand.
"I'll hold you to that." Bastion chuckled slightly.
"Congratulations Jaden Yuki. You will represent Central Duel Academy in the duel against North!" Chancellor Sheppard announced, causing the Slifers in the stands to near roar their applause while the Blue male students booed loudly. The female Blues were firmly on Jaden's side as they cheered politely and the Ra's were obviously disappointed but most of them clapped politely. She had won fair and square after all.
"Party in the Slifer dorm!" Jaden cheered, causing the Slifers to cheer louder.
"Those being nice or polite by clapping are welcome to come, the jerks in blue booing me cause I wear red can suck it!" Jaden announced, earning laughter from at least a solid third of the students while the Blue Boys were annoyed or angry with her for this.
"You're definitely invited Bastion and I will drag you there if I have to! You were a good sport so you deserve to party!" Jaden said glomping onto Bastions arm and he smiled down at her, a slight blush on his cheeks.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." Bastion said and was rewarded by a happy smile from her, one that made his heart skip a beat. He had a feeling he was going to lose some sleep over this but…it was worth it to see her smile like that.
"I ship it!" Jasmine and Mindy both squealed as they watched that interaction.
The teachers box was nearly drowning in a dark murderous aura that caused Bastion to stiffen slightly.
He had a feeling Crowler wasn't too happy with him…and that the eccentric man would definitely be coming to the party just to keep an eye on him.
Taking another look at Jaden's happy face though as she was latched onto his arm and dragging him towards the Slifers to get back to the dorm and start the party…
Well it was worth it.
Damn did he have it bad.
