Hello everyone, I hope you like this chapter and gotta say...newest Nanatsu chapter has indeed taken quite the step with one character...in sad to see him go but it also opens up for a sequel. Not to mention I've decided this story itself will also involve Black Clover in a way, a different continent to be exact as well as taking place before the present time itself.
Chapter 20
LAST TIME
"Seems you've gotten even stronger Whiskers!" Ban's comment even at this moment caused him to smile even for a brief moment before focusing again.
"What the hells going on, that failure just bulldozing is!"
"We need too—" They were cut off from saying another sentence as Naruto blew right through them in a hurry.
"WE NEED BACK UP, NARUTO'S TAKING US ALL OUT!"
It was after that shout that the three came to a sudden halt.
"Hey, Naruto," Ban's name call caused him to not look at Ban but in another direction. "you feel that too?"
"Yeah... another side of the castle most likely South Gate perhaps..." With that said, they wondered what exactly was happening.
CURRENT TIME
Naruto just stares in the distance of the South Gate just like the two Sins who's attention was focused on it yet Naruto was ignoring all of it, honing on a single magic source that he was alerted to.
"What's this feeling...this magic?" As he wondered to himself, Naruto's eyes merely narrow some more.
BEFORE NARUTO AND THE TWO SINS ARRIVED, WITHIN THE CASTLES DUNGEONS.
"Well, this cuts down on a single trip." Muttered one blonde-haired pervert who was teleported within a cell along with Elizabeth and Hawk.
"Sir Meliodas, where are we and where are the others?" Her question was more so focused on one red-head while she was looking around worried. "I don't understand, weren't we just at the Boar hat?"
Upon someone appearing in the room, Meliodas instantly moves in front of Elizabeth.
"Stay behind me, Elizabeth!" He said in a more worried tone than commanding, glaring at the woman who just appeared in the room.
"(Tch) Geez, here I thought this would be easy until that troublesome failure does this." Almost immediately, the Princess sends the woman glare at what she said, knowing who the insult was meant for. "It doesn't matter, either way, you're inside Liones now do you can't just simply escape."
With that said, she quickly disappears as soon as she appears right before a roar was heard, scaring Elizabeth until a loud 'bop' was heard, causing her to look at Meliodas's steaming fist that had just whacked Hawk upside the head.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR YOU BLONDE PERVERT! Can't you see I'm suffering already over here with my stomach!" As he shouts that, he quickly launches himself towards the door instead of continuing to fight, his quick movements and strength easily blew the four off its hinges.
"Huh, who knew he was pretty wrong. Guess that food didn't go to waste after all." Meliodas said, speaking in his regular relaxed tone right before Hawk arrives, completely fine after getting it out of his system...yet he was praying blood on the ground from the wound on his forehead.
"Hawk, you're bleeding!"
"Wait, I AM?!"
It was by that time a loud yawn was heard on the other side of the hallway, causing the two to look to see one tired guard entering before immediately being knocked out by Spider-Hawk who's acrobatics kicked in, doing flips that end with his butt slamming into the guys face.
"All right, let's go!" Hawk commands as he begins walking down the hallway which Elizabeth nods in understanding as they begin to walk with Meliodas following but as they did, the Sin of Wrath looks back at the guard and door before Elizabeth, having something on his mind that needed to be asked.
"Elizabeth..."
Her name caused the princess to look back with surprise, wondering what he wanted to say but blinks in surprise upon seeing the complicated expression the Sin showed, not even making eye-contact with the Princess.
"What do you..." The Sin struggled with his words as he finally forced himself to say it. "think of Naruto?"
That simple sentence, caused her viewable eye to widen all the way.
The three made their way behind a wall, hiding from the groups of Holy Knights searching for them while they hid, watching the whole thing happen from where they stood.
"There's too many of them, at this point we won't be able to get through this quietly." Muttered the annoying blonde who didn't want to deal with this, wanting to save Elizabeth quickly instead of fighting.
"Recklessly battling will only drain our stamina."
"Man, that's gimme be a drag in itself. So anyone got a plan on how we sneak through this?"
As soon as Ban said that, Naruto placed a hand on his chin in deep thought on what they as a team could do, that ends immediately upon two guards making their way towards them as they spoke.
"I think I hear something over here?"
"Last time you said that we found a guy jacking off...I rather forget that."
As they three heard the conversation, Naruto had an idea pass through his head and he looks at Gowther who does the same to him, watches him tap his head, Ban's, and Gowther himself which he understood and connected their thoughts.
"I can't believe your plan actually worked."
"Me neither, I saw it in a play once when I was a kid, who knew it would work."
Those were the words they shared, Naruto and Ban wearing the armor of the two Holy Knights they knocked out, walking in the open with Gowther over their shoulder having long green hair and blue eyes, his shirt replaced by rags of clothing to help conceal the mark for sure.
"Berry, Orion! What are you two doing with that injured civilian?!"
That immediate question caused the two to freeze in their tracks as, despite others ignoring them, one didn't as the Holy Knight approached the two who turn to look as the maroon colored knight who had a steampunk like the style with the helmet.
"Leave the civilian, we must deal with the Sins at once!" He said in a commanding tone, causing Naruto to look at Ban before back at the knight.
"I-Isn't it our duty to protect the people?"
"The people ca—what's wrong with your voice?" As he said it, his tone was laced with suspicion which Ban just looks at Naruto as he starts to smile, holding back a laugh for what happened next.
"...Puberty..."
"Puber—But your thirty-three years old!"
"...guess I'm a late bloomer?"
After that exchange was finished, silence. He simply just stares at the two as if he were dumbfounded while they themselves were silent until he jolts before he nods in understanding.
"Ah I see, that makes sense. Anyways, once you deal with that civilian I expect you two to hurry back here." As he finished, he was already walking away from the two of them which they just look at each other.
"That actually worked..?"
"He bought my lie?"
As they spoke, a third cut into the conversation to reveal the truth.
"He did not as you would say 'buy' it. I used my ability to alter his memories so he would believe what I believe is what's called a 'Bullshit lie'."
Upon hearing that, Naruto starts to sweat while Ban just stares at him.
"Puberty...?
"Oh shut up!"
The three were quickly hurrying down a pathway as explosions kept taking place up ahead from where they ran, causing the three to finally stop to take into account of what was happening.
"Judging by the sound and vibrations, it's 0.5 miles away," Gowther said in a matter of fact tone. "Between the South Gate and the palace gate."
"This feeling..."
As the single red-head though, his left-hand goes to his chest as he felt a tug.
"Come to think of it," Ban said as he focuses on the magic they felt. "we could sense someone with mad magical powers just now, huh?"
"It's faint," Gowther spoke up while fixing his glasses. "but I'm positive it's Hendrickson's magic. Ten years ago, he bore the title of 'Platinum'."
As they spoke, Naruto begins to run in the direction of the fighting, surprising the two of them.
"Aren't we supposed to head for the castle?!" Ban shouted out after Naruto who looks back while he ran.
"You guys head for the castle, I need to see what's happening!"
As he shouted that, he jumps over a wall, disappearing from view.
"It would be best to follow him, but due to his abnormal growth I believe he can handle himself as of right now."
Despite hearing that, Ban just looks in the direction of where Naruto ran off too and just shakes his head.
"Captain can handle himself." Was all the sin said, surprising Gowther who watched him run after Naruto while he just looks at the castle and heads in that direction, leaving the two by themselves. In the minutes that passed, destruction was taking place in two areas. One at the castle and the other where they were headed towards, the two not stopping to take a single breather as they ran quickly towards the battle until a specific attack was seen, a massive earth shaped blade which stopped the two in their tracks.
"I'm pretty sure that's Diane's attack. But why's she at the capital? Don't you think that's weird?" Bam decided to ask which Naruto places a hand on his chin before his eyes widen and turn to Ban.
"You mind heading to Diane, Ban. I sense several high magical energies there with her and I think she'll need your help." Hearing what could be seen as a request, Ban just shrugs as he felt Gowther was also heading in that direction for Captain.
"Sure, besides there's something I need to find that's there."
When Naruto heard that, he blinks in surprise and watched Ban immediately head in the direction by jumping on a rooftop and start jumping towards the fight rather quickly, leaving Naruto behind as he watched before he felt the tug once more, turning in the direction of where Hendrickson was and starts to run, entering a packed street where he runs past civilians in a hurry, gaining quite the amount of surprised and shocked looks from civilians who some having recognized Naruto but that shock turns to fear upon seeing something falling and that was when Naruto looked up to see it, Diane's battered and wounded body falling towards him, causing his very eyes too widen as he quickly reacts and thrusts his right hand forward, in an instant creating a vortex-like wind that sent civilians flying back in the only two directions they can walk through, pushing them out of the way as Diane crashes in the center of the panic as many make room with Naruto running up to the giant.
"DIANE!" His single shout, gaining the attention of his friend who looks at him, just as they heard it.
[I am Grand Master Dreyfus. People of Liones, listen to me. We have been infiltrated by the traitors, the Seven Deadly Sins and they've begun to commence ransacking the Kingdom!]
Naruto's eyes simply widen as he heard a talk from behind and around them.
"Seven Deadly Sins? Then...the giant...?"
"That's right, it's got to be! It's Diane the Serpent Sin!"
Naruto could only grit his teeth as he felt loathing, resentment, hostility, and animosity which were all directed on the hurt girl.
[The Holy War of ancient legend is finally about to begin! But fear not! Liones has its Holy Knights as well as myself! All those able to fight, take up your arms and make a stand!]
As that order was given, Diane weakly stands up just as rocks started flying past Naruto, hitting Diane in her legs which caused Naruto's hair to overshadow his eyes.
"Let's take out the Seven Deadly Sins!"
One decided to shout, causing Diane to look at them with pity.
"Stop it...please...I'm not...your enemy!" She tried to speak but could gather the strength to shout, the wounds she suffered having prevented her from doing so. Yet her words only angered the civilians as one picks up a rock.
"Shut up! Look at what you did to our city—" He was cut off mid-sentence by a hand grabbing the wrist of the man about to throw the rock, stopping him while everyone else all around Diane stopped to see what was happening.
"H-Hey, what the hell are you doing?!" Yet his demand was silenced by a fist slamming into his face, knocking the man to the ground with the rock falling from his hand much to everyone's shock and even Diane's eyes widen.
"That's enough, all of your disperse immediately and find shelter!" His shout gained only anger that was now directed at him with murmurs turning into shouts about who he was.
"Wait, that's Naruto! The failure who was kicked from being a Holy Knight!
"He's the one who kidnapped the Princess, I heard he was also the reason the King fell ill!"
"TRAITOR! YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!"
"YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN KICKED OUT OF THIS KINGDOM FROM THE BEGINNING!"
"YOUR A MONSTER!"
"YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED BY THE HOLY KNIGHTS THE MOMENT YOU BETRAYED THE KINGDOM!"
As she heard this, Diane's eyes widen all the way as she saw rocks being thrown at Naruto who didn't react but stood their and allowed it, letting them hit him instead of Diane.
"N-No...stop..." As she said it, she felt it was like watching herself being treated harshly by the humans for what she was. Soon enough one far picks up a piece of wood and runs at Naruto.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED!" He shouted as he hit Naruto in the head, snapping it much to his shock yet Naruto didn't react but stood there.
"Enough with the traitor, let's deal with the Sin!" His words got a reaction from Naruto who turns fast just as the man was about to throw a rock, he instead was punched in the face that sent him to the ground yet it didn't have the force to seriously hurt him, bringing more anger yet also, confusion.
"Why...?" Was the only thing Diane cousin ask, seeing that he was allowing them to attack him but the moment they try to do anything to her, he gets involved.
"As I said on the grave of my little sister. With all the death in this world and sadness, it brings forth. I took an oath, I will never again fall to my despair, instead...I'll move forward no matter what kind of Hell I will endure, and with it, I'll embrace hope." As those words were spoken, he should clear determination as he looked at the crowd who hadn't dared make a move lest they are hit next.
"A Knight should never attack the weak...you may be a Giant Diane, much stronger than these civilians, and hold a weapon, but when I look at you...all I see is someone that needs help." As he spoke those words, the Giant slowly falls slides down against the building while she stares at Naruto in clear shock.
"Humans, their country. Why should I care? I've always been alone, that's what thought yet...why... why do I feel like this...why do I get this urge to help him no matter what happens to me..." While she thought that, she grits her teeth as she can't tell why she has this feeling as if Naruto's life is something that cannot be replaced in this world.
"Diane! Naruto?!" Came to the shout of Guila having arrived on the scene which the civilians immediately started running to get away from what they believe to be a fight about to begin.
"I didn't expect him to be here." Muttered Jericho as she too arrived on the scene with Naruto just staring at them with seriousness.
"Sister!" That sudden shout had caused their eyes to widen in surprise as they look to see a kid running down an alleyway towards them.
"Stay away from here!" She shouted as the kid makes it out into the open where he saw the weak Diane and Naruto staring at him until he saw it, something from the sky coming down with great speed as it crashed into the building the kid was standing next to, causing it to collapse as it starts falling towards the shocked kid.
"ZEAAAAAAAAAL!" She could only scream as the rubble was coming down on the kid just before their eyes widen as Naruto leaped into action protecting the kid with his own body while he raised his hand and starts to access his magic until he felt it, something had changed. In an instant, his magic didn't activate and the rubble had fallen on them, yet in the moments of the rubble, only inches from them. Naruto felt as if his magic, what he could imagine as an orb of black that has cracks on it, chip away. That single-chip releasing light and with it a voice, in the span of an instant.
(You can finally hear me, my King.)
And with that voice, a vortex of wind was unleashed as it sends that rubble to pieces, tearing it apart to the point it fell in every direction. This very scene caused many questions the spiral out of control with Zeal only looking up at Naruto with surprise.
"You saved me?" As the kid said it, Naruto was looking at his hands to see reptilian scales have sprouted forth, his fingernails also becoming sharp claws.
"What the—" He stopped and looks at what hit the building, a spear of sorts that immediately disappears and before he could question it, from the corner of his eye he saw a group approaching them and looks to see Howzer, Gilthunder, and Dreyfus approaching which Jericho approaches them.
"Please...could you entrust next, Jericho, with the task of taking Diane's and Naruto's head?" Her question earned a frown from the man.
"You May take Diane's head, but Naruto must remain unharmed for he is to go on—" He stops upon seeing Howzer wall ahead of them, turning in front of Diane and Naruto who still held Zeal.
"What do you think your doing, Howzer?"
"I'm a failure as Naruto's teacher if it weren't for me doing nothing he could have still become a Holy Knight. As Naruto's teacher, it's my responsibility to watch out for my student." This new turn caused Dreyfus to frown more.
"You're going to take us all on by yourself?"
Yet his question was answered by Guila joining his side.
"No. The two of us will."
Dreyfus just glares at the two of them.
"You two are Holy Knights of the Kingdom yet you still intend to defend this heinous crime and raise your swords against me?"
"That kid would've been sacrificed for the greater good, if not for my Student. How can I just let this happen?!"
Dreyfus just continues to frown before looking at Naruto and his eyes begin to widen as he felt it, something that couldn't be mistaken for while he saw Naruto staring at his hand, his body leaking with green steam like an aura.
Guila, just stop this! This is no time to mess around. Come back here!" Yet her friends' words were answered instead.
"If it wasn't for Naruto, my little brother would've died!" Yet despite what she said, Dreyfus didn't budge.
"Our mission as Holy Knights is to condemn evil and set an example for the people, nothing more—" He was cut off upon one red-head speaking.
"Bullshit." This caused the two defending Naruto and Diane to turn as seeing him standing up, staring at his hand which he makes a fist as he starts approaching Dreyfus.
(Call me out, my King.)
"Naruto, we can handle this so—" Howzer stops at what he felt while Guila's eyes widen all the way. They felt his magic resembling the day he went berserk yet very different as they just watched him stand before them.
"I can take them on myself, so get Diane out of here and heal her immediately." His words shocked everyone, Gilthunder being the most shocked at his words.
"Naruto, you cant—" Howzer stops are a new voice being heard.
"But he can!" With that voice, Naruto's body erupts in a vortex of wind magic that shocked them as his aura turned dark-green with the wind turning crystal white as it shined with his aura. Seeing this had shocked all of them as Diane's owns eyes widen as moments ago she was stronger yet at this moment, Naruto has completely surprised her. While this was happening, what they saw floating next to Naruto was a girl, a tiny, young girl with a pair of insect-looking wings and pointed ears. Her hair was green, just like her eyes, and possessed fair skin.
Upon seeing this had shocked everyone with Naruto looking to his left at the floating girl who just gives him a sad smile.
"Even if you cannot remember, nor have the level of power you once held...I will always serve you... My King, Naruto Arthurian Pendragon." As she spoke, Dreyfus was sweating with clear shock on his face at the level he was at.
