Chapter 21

FATE/APOCRYPHA OST-SAVIOR

"Elizabeth..."

Her name caused the princess to look back with surprise, wondering what he wanted to say but blinks in surprise upon seeing the complicated expression the Sin showed, not even making eye-contact with the Princess.

"What do you..." The Sin struggled with his words as he finally forced himself to say it. "think of Naruto?"

That simple sentence, caused her viewable eye to widen all the way as she stared at Meliodas before being reduced to a blushing mess while Hawk who was up ahead stopped and turned to watch this scene.

"W-What! W-Why asks that now all of a sudden?!" Elizabeth's face was beat-red now and seeing it, seeing her expression, slowly a pained smile formed on Meliodas face while he looked away with a look of hurt realization.

"So...no matter how much I hoped, in the end, Gowther was right..." Meliodas muttered silently as he looks up to meet her gaze once more. "You're in love with Naruto, aren't you?" Those words caused her eye to widen and she looks down, now a blushing mess and unable to speak due to not knowing what to say, that was until she looked at Meliodas, clearly seeing the true emotion he was trying so desperately to hide.

"Meli—" While reaching out, the sin turned his back to her while taking a deep breath and spoke with some struggle.

"Tell him, how you truly feel..." This caught her off guard at being asked something like that yet she could the speak as the words got caught in her throat, not knowing what to say. "Because I already know how he feels about you." This caused the air in her lungs to get cut off as her mind went blank for a second, watching as he turns to face her, a sad smile upon his face.

"After we saved Ban, Naruto told me he was madly in love with you." Slowly, the Princess's eye widens all the way.

"But my love for her, I know it can never happen..." Elizabeth showed confusion. "Those were his very own words, he believed he made you worry, unable to protect you. He thought I was the better choice in protecting you and that he was useless. He believed he was nothing but unworthy of you..." Elizabeth could only display shock. "When in reality, he was truly worthy." Meliodas approaches the princess and with a raised hand he touched the side of her face, surprising her at this action yet did not take her eyes off of the Sin's, clearly seeing the sadness he was trying to hide.

"Naruto's love for you is unquestionable. Even if it means you were to be with someone else, I know for a fact he would accept it without any issue no matter how painful it would be for him... That day, when we were drinking Gowther told us all, not just you but also Naruto, both of you had feelings for each other, love." Elizabeth at this point could only stare at him. "Which is why, when you see Naruto again you need to tell him it." Hearing all that, Elizabeth was very red-faced as she didn't know what to do, feeling nothing but embarrassment at talking about telling him the truth.

"I—" Elizabeth stops to see his expression turn to one of regret and pain, looking down at his feet.

"After all...he deserves love and happiness far more than I do. After all, in his previous life..." What he said next caused Elizabeth to simply stare at the Sin in horror as she wasn't clueless about the fact involving the ones claiming to be Naruto's kids and Naruto himself being from another time, reincarnation perhaps. "Back when I...was a very cruel demon...I killed his best friend he saw as a brother...but before that...I" Meliodas struggled to speak the truth as he grits his teeth and made shaking fists, recalling what he did. "I murdered his wife right in front of his very eyes." Nothing was said while Elizabeth covered her mouth, staring at Meliodas in horror which the Sin just looks down.

"That rage he showed when he went berserk, it could have been stopped yet by seeing me his hate of the past came back...his memories of what I did to his wife, to his best-friend were burned into his soul...bringing forth all his memories of what I did to him back up to the surface. The reason I'm telling you this..." Meliodas held her gaze with his own. "Is simply because he needs you..." With that said, he turns his back towards her while she held her gaze at his back.

(Call me out, my King.)

"Naruto, we can handle this so—" Howzer stops at what he felt while Guila's eyes widen all the way. They felt his magic resembling the day he went berserk yet very different as they just watched him stand before them.

"I can take them on myself, so get Diane out of here and heal her immediately." His words shocked everyone, Gilthunder being the most shocked at his words.

"Naruto, you cant—" Howzer stops are a new voice being heard.

"But he can!" With that voice, Naruto's body erupts in a vortex of wind magic that shocked them as his aura turned dark-green with the wind turning crystal white as it shined with his aura. Seeing this had shocked all of them as Diane's owns eyes widen as moments ago she was stronger yet at this moment, Naruto has completely surprised her. While this was happening, what they saw floating next to Naruto was a girl, a tiny, young girl with a pair of insect-looking wings and pointed ears. Her hair was green, just like her eyes, and possessed fair skin.

Upon seeing this had shocked everyone with Naruto looking to his left at the floating girl who just gives him a sad smile.

"Even if you cannot remember, nor have the level of power you once held...I will always serve you... My King, Naruto Arthurian Pendragon." As she spoke, Dreyfus was sweating with clear shock on his face at the level he was at.

"Naruto..." As Howzer muttered that, Naruto looks back at his master with only seriousness.

"Now go, I have this taken care of." His gaze moves up towards Diane looking at him. "I can trust you're able to move even some?"

A nod was given as Diane turns away, not feeling any doubt in Naruto with that gaze he held which she starts to stand up weakly much to Howzer's shock as he looks back at Naruto to see that he was already looking away before looking down in anger and turns away, running towards Diane to help her move with his wind magic followed by Guila with Zeal, seeing this the Grand Master's eyes narrow.

"Gilthunder, Jericho!" Dreyfus draws out his sword while entering a stance. "Go after the sin, I will handle this." His order merely shocks Jericho who grits her teeth while turning to him.

"But grand—"

"That is an order Jericho, go after them!"

Once again she grits her teeth and hurried yet Naruto did nothing and allowed her past knowing full well she is weak compared to Howzer and Guila, however...

"Gilthunder, you as—" Dreyfus stopped to see he was also taking a stance.

"Are you ignoring my orders, I can—"

"With all due respect Grand Master, you won't be able to take him on by yourself."

With that said, Naruto crouches while taking out Jack's short swords while his gaze moves toward the floating being of sorts before down at his hand to see the reptilian scales and his claw-like fingernail.

"STOP IGNORING ME!" With that shout, she starts tugging on his face, tears in her eyes. "C'mon Master, even back then you acted like this!"

Naruto just moves his gaze upon the floating one who had her cheeks puffed out.

"Um..."

"My names Sylph," She hits her chest proudly. "I'm the wind elemental spirit." Naruto just looks at her with surprise before his demeanor changed as he brought both swords up to block the surprise attack from Gilthunder who's eyes narrowed as he moved with great speed to get behind Naruto who without even turning blocks his strike, taking him by surprise before he does a combination of strikes yet none made contact meanwhile Slyph just smiles as she somehow remained unharmed even lighting passing through her.

"The Dance of Avidya," Slyph's smile increases all giddy like out of excitement. "making the king capable of countering any and all manner of surprise attacks...it seems he's beginning to recall his techniques." She watches as Gilthunder moves his body to the left just as the blade slashed into his shoulder, causing him to grit his teeth as he jumps back for a distance before Naruto's eyes widen just as Dreyfus appeared behind him.

"Flowing Strike!" Dreyfus swings his sword downward strike on Naruto who goes to block yet the strike forces his arms down with his blades, leaving him defenseless just as Gilthunder thrusts his sword forwards, evoking a colossal lightning bolt to strike upon Naruto who was hit by it with tremendous force.

TYPHOON. RISING. SLASH!" With that single shout, the two were blown as the lightning gets blown through to nothing by a massive storming vortex that erupted from below yet Gilthunder wasn't done as he leaped for Naruto.

"Thunderclap Strike!" As he shouted that, his body was once again engulfed by lighting while he lunges at Naruto with the extreme speed at the red-head who stiffens as he blocks the attack, forcing him skidding back a couple of feet before they begin close combat yet was short-lived by Dreyfus interfering by an energy beam narrowly missing Naruto who turns just as Dreyfus closes in, swinging his blade repeatedly at Naruto who was doing the same thing before his eyes widen and look up to see a cloud form and kick the grandmaster away just as three lighting bolts taking the forms of three rabid beasts were made, coming down towards Naruto who's eyes widen.

"Spirit's Hushed Dance."

In an instant, he began avoiding the beasts effortlessly much to the shock of Dreyfus who watched as he danced along a stream of wind yet Gilthunder didn't stop, with lightning he got close to Naruto and was able to knock one of the blades out of his hands.

"LIGHTNING—" Gilthunder was cut off by Naruto suddenly leaping for him when drawing back his left fist that began drawing in the wind just as the holy knight charged directly at Naruto with his sword pointed towards him. As lighting engulfed blade headed straight for his fist yet as this was happening, Slyph clapped her hands together and with that, the wind became even denser as it was drawing in everything, causing Gilthunder to feel himself being dragged into it, too late to stop as Naruto swung his fist.

(I'll win one of these days Gil when I do you have to acknowledge me!)

As the fist collided with the sword, it instantly broke upon contact much to the holy knight's shock as his eyes slowly widen as he was slammed into by a massive light-green fist, coming from a massive arm and with that, Gilthunder's eyes were white as he lost consciousness, his body flying back into a nearby building.

"Sigh..." Naruto turns to look at Dreyfus, showing not even a smirk but seriousness that unnerved the holy knight who gripped his blade.

"You have indeed gotten stringer Naruto, I will not deny that! However..." Dreyfus took a stance as he concentrates all of his power into a single point at the tip of his blade, causing a massive glow from the amassed magic. "YOU HAVE MUCH TO LEARN, STAR BREAKER!" With that, he thrust the sword forwards as he released it in a large, destructive energy beam right for Naruto yet at that moment he heard something and looked back, from the edge of the alleyway corner stood a teenager wearing rags, watching this entire altercation with shocked eyes yet this merely shocked Naruto in the span of less than a couple seconds as he knew if he dodged or didn't stop the attack, the kid along with the building behind him possibly holding civilians would be obliterated. Upon realizing this, anger formed at the recklessness due to at least his attack was aimed downwards when it hit Gil to send him flying. With this, he took a stance just as he caught the second blade coming at him from the corner of his eye, courtesy of Slyph who was staring at Naruto while he was pulling back both blades as he gathered his magic yet as this happened, Slyph brought up her hands yet winced as she looked in shock to see darkness oozing out of Naruto, covering his blades and upon seeing this both Slyph and Dreyfus's eyes widen.

"That's—" In an instant, Naruto launches himself creating a single line of black that went right for the star breaker beam, piercing through it completely as it collapses and breaks down while he headed right for Dreyfus who could do nothing but stare.

"Demon Rush." Were the words Naruto spoke as he was already behind Dreyfus who vomits our blood as two slashes appeared upon his armor that falls apart.

"That's...—" He couldn't finish as he fell back losing consciousness while Naruto himself had stopped behind the man taking deep breaths and looking completely exhausted.

"W-What was that—" Naruto stops upon feeling a sort of recoil that caused his body to stiffen as pain ran throughout it.

(Even if you've forgotten...our deal will not be broken, King.)

As he heard that disembodied voice, Naruto has dropped his blades to grab his heads and slowly he turns to find Slyph heading for him with her arm extended in worry yet everything vanished, replaced by the darkness that took the shape of a throne room and upon seeing this, Naruto couldn't understand anything anymore yet it was similar to Limbo where he met death but at this point his stomach was on fire, causing him to grasp it in utter pain before he felt a chill run down his spine.

"Understand...?" The voice was now much closer, no longer disembodied as it was directly behind him and he just turns to find 'something' sitting on a throne of black flames, a being covered in black baring six devilish wings. The only thing he could clearly see were the four glowing crimson eyes that stared into his soul and with it his vision began to fade as he fell forwards, the room replaced by the real world as he hits the ground.

"My king!" Slyph flew around him, completely worried as she felt that all so sinister magic dispersing but jolts and turns immediately to find a single individual having watched the entire altercation bend down and pick Naruto up over his shoulder.

"HEY, YOU!" Slyph immediately grabs his cheek, pulling at it with anger. "Keep your hands off my King." Yet her demands were ignored, his gaze meeting hers which she took in his appearance as being in his teens, having grey eyes and black hair of medium length that is messily combed backward, making it stick outwards. He wore a ragged white A-shirt and black trousers. The trousers themselves were ragged with an extra layer of tan leather that covers his outer thighs and down to his knees. The trousers are only supported by a belt around his waist. Lastly, he wears black high boots that cover most of his calves.

"IF YOU DON'T LET HIM GO, I'LL CLOBBER YOU!" This time her demand got a reply as he turned his gaze to look at her.

"Would you prefer me leaving him here to be captured?" When asked that, Slyph shows anger yet turns to annoyance before embarrassment while looking down yet still held an untrustworthy glare.

"WHO ARE YOU?!"

"Yami," As he spoke, he helped lifted Naruto's body piggyback while also picking up his swords, showing despite his age he was physically strong.

"Yami Sukehiro."
