16. Chapter 16: Fight with the Devil

Hello guys. The 3rd Dragneel, coming to you with the final chapter to the Sun Village arc for this story. I know it's been a rather crazy ride considering how things are turning out from the last chapter. Hopefully, the end of this chapter is satisfying and a good path to the next few arcs.

BanRedfox: Yeah, I didn't know how to introduce Flare to the story since Lucy and the others were focused on Flamemon and the Digi Warriors. I always intended on Flamemon digivolving in a moment of pure adrenaline, and don't worry, I'll have more epic moments involving evolution.

GirlFish: Oh yeah, PTSD is not something one can just recover through. We've already seen Flamemon go through some panic attacks a few times already. Trust me, Myotismon in this story is WAY stronger than he was in the original show. I'll make the new opening next time since I do like doing an opening and ending song per arc. And as for Flare… let's just hope she DOES survive against Devimon.

Kamen Rider W: Yeah, no. I don't necessarily find the idea of putting humans with Digimon all that appealing.

Guest: A Godzilla: King of the Monsters story would be cool, but I don't have an idea on how it would go, nor do I have the time.

To recap: Devimon was in the process of taking the Eternal Flame, only to discover that it was protected by a magic barrier. And to make matters worse, Flare Corona had made a shocking return and proceeded to attack Devimon. As for Erza, the sudden appearance of Zubamon caused a rift in Minerva's plans for revenge and she began to attack the Digimon. Meanwhile, Natsu's group reunited with Akame, Tsubaki and their Digimon just in time to defeat Minerva's one eyed monster. Finally, Lucy's group tried their best to hold off Doriate, but due to his monstrous transformation, he proved to be much stronger. When Flamemon saw Lucy in pain, he finally unlocked the power within and Digivolve into Agunimon, with Lucy getting a Digivice that solidified their bond. After defeating Doriate, the group learned of his real objective before he killed himself.

Will our Heroes be strong enough to defeat Devimon and his allies before they steal the Eternal Flame? Time to find out...

'With Erza and Zubamon'

*BOOM*BOOM*BOOM*

Zubamon witnessed first hand how deadly Minerva was. Thanks to her Territory magic, the former member of Sabertooth was able to create multiple explosions out of thin air, which made things difficult for the Digimon. Still, thanks to his speed, Zubamon was able to dodge each explosion, though there were a few that caught him off guard. Skidding on the icy ground from yet another explosion, the golden armor Digimon began to pant lightly as he glared at Minerva. "You are strong, witch. But I will never surrender!" Zubamon declared while wiping his face of Minerva's blood.

Speaking of Minerva, the daughter of Jiemma had several cuts on her body, thanks in part to the Digimon in front of her. She thought he was an easy opponent, one of the many insects she can stomp. Yet much to her annoyance, Zubamon was extremely nimble and whenever he had a chance, he would cut her flawless body. It infuriated her almost as much as Erza defeating during the Grand Magic Games. With an annoyed snarl, Minerva unleashed several more explosions around Zubamon, sending him flying.

"Zubamon!" Erza shouted in concern as she kneeled next to Megan and Black Pawnchessmon, who were still rendered unconscious. However, Erza's concern was morphed into surprise as Zubamon flipped in the air, towards the frozen trees. Extending his bladed fingers out, Zubamon latched onto the side of the tree, turning his body 180 degrees before he let go, launching himself towards Minerva.

"Twenty Dive!" The sword horn on Zubamon's head began to glow blue as he rocketed forward. Minerva quickly raised her right hand, covering it with Territory Magic before successfully blocking Zubamon's attack. With a smirk, Minerva used her other hand to cover the gold Digimon with her magic before slamming him on the ground.

"I still don't know why you're willing to help Titania and her friends, but if you value your life, you'll stay down." Minerva said with a superior tone, a look of satisfaction on her face as she noticed Zubamon lying still. It seems he had finally succumbed to his injuries and was finally defeated.

"That's enough, Minerva!" Erza shouted, getting her opponent's attention. Having recovered some of her stamina thanks to Zubamon, the red haired 'child' was able to stand up, giving Minerva her best glare. "Your anger is towards me, not them."

"You are right, dear Titania." Minerva said before she flashed Erza a dark smirk. "But I don't need to just hurt you physically." To add insult to injury, Minerva placed her foot on Zubamon's head and proceeded to stomp on him. "This one is fast, but he's also so annoying. I think I'll crush him, like the bug he is."

"MINERVA!" The redhead called out, only to be ignored on purpose as Minerva continued to stomp on Zubamon. Erza felt her blood boil at the sight of Minerva's ruthless torture of the Digimon who saved her life. She wanted to use her Heaven's Wheel or the Flight Armor, but she couldn't. Instead of the strong and mighty Titania, Erza was but a woman in a child's body. She couldn't do anything, not without harming herself or putting Megan and Pawnchessmon at risk.

But as Erza seethed with anger, she suddenly felt her black shirt slip upwards, and it began to feel… tight? That was odd. She was barely able to wear it when she shrank, yet now it was slipping-

'Wait, I can feel my magic growing.' Erza thought as she looked down. Sure enough, her chest began to grow as her legs were slowly reaching the same height as Minerva. A small smile grew on Erza's face as she opened her right hand.

"Can you hear me, Zubamon? Does this hurt?" Minerva said in a slightly sadistic voice, though much to her annoyance, her victim wasn't responding. "Hmmm, I suppose I shouldn't expect you to move. You were able to last longer than that girl, Heartfilia. Maybe after this, I'll take Titanita to her friends and-"

Minerva barely had time to jump back as a familiar looking sword was swung her way, cutting several strands of hair. She looked up at her attacker and almost growled in anger at what she was seeing.

"It seems the spell your ally used has worn off." Erza said, back in her stoic tone. Due to Doriate's defeat, the Titania of Fairy Tail has finally returned to her true form, another sword in hand as she smirked confidently at Minerva. Taking her eyes off Minerva for a moment, Erza noticed Megan had also reverted back to her normal form, much to her relief. She stood protectively in front of Zubamon before looking over her shoulder. "Zubamon, can you hear me?"

"Who's… who's speaking?" Zubamon groaned as he slowly began to push himself up. He could barely recognize the speaker, yet he needed to see their face before making any judgement.

However, the moment he raised his head and opened his eyes… he was flabbergasted.

Standing in front of him was a young woman, near her twenties with flawless skin with a silver sword in hand. However, he recognized the long red hair and the black shirt she wore. 'This is… the girl! But how? And…' "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR CLOTHES?!" Zubamon exclaimed uncharacteristically as he looked away. While Erza still wore the black shirt from before, because she was too small for her regular clothes when she shrunk, she lost both her pants and underwear. Zubamon was an honorable Digimon, but he was also a gentleman. While his kind don't normally wear clothes, he understood why humans were self conscious about being naked and the last thing he wanted was to be classified as a pervert.

In short, Erza Scarlet was half naked in front of Zubamon.

"For once, I agree. Why don't you wear something decent? If you aren't careful, someone could have the wrong opinion of you." Minerva said with a cocky smirk. Erza looked down and noticed her lack of clothes before her body began to glow, allowing another copy of her Heart Kreuz armor to appear. "I was planning on killing you when you were still a child, but…" Opening her hand, Minerva began to concentrate more magic into her hand, her smirk growing ever so slightly. "I can work with this."

"Let's end this." Erza added with a serious tone as she raised her sword. However, just as they were about to continue their battle-

"Pyro Punch/Bunny Blast/Black Bolt!" Three sudden attacks came out of nowhere, forcing Minerva to teleport away.

"Erza! Megan!" Erza, Zubamon and Minerva turned their heads as they saw Lucy's group run towards them.

"Lucy. Ichigo. Vex." Erza's smile grew a bit at the sight of her friends. She recognized Terriermon and Gaomon, yet she wondered who the humanoid creature next to Lucy was and where Flamemon had gone. The group ran in front of the Titania protectively while facing Minerva, ready to fight if need be. "Are you okay?" Lucy asked in concern, noticing some scratches and burn marks on her friend's body.

"I will be fine. But who is this?" Erza questioned, glancing at Agunimon, who smiled sheepishly.

"Funny you should mention that." Agunimon admitted, causing Erza to widen her eyes slightly as she recognized the voice.

"We can talk about it later. Check on Megan and Pawnchessmon." Vex urged, aiming his right arm at Minerva. Ichigo and Terriermon rushed to their unconscious friends' side, checking their injuries.

"Megan's okay. A few scratches here and there, but she's fine." Ichigo said without looking at the green haired woman's body. He was relieved she was okay... But the fact she didn't have pants made things really awkward.

"Pawnchessmon, wake up! This is no time for a nap!" Terriermon shouted as he smacked Pawchessmon's helmet with his tiny paw. It was more comedically than anything, but they didn't have time to laugh.

"You're the one who hurt them, aren't you?" Gaomon growled at Minerva with a heated glare. Anyone who hurt his friends would receive no mercy and if Vex allowed him to, he would Digivolve in a heartbeat.

"Another talking animal? Where do you find these people, Titania?" Minerva asked with a raised brow, purposely ignoring the blue doglike Digimon's question. Noticing a certain blonde in the group, Minerva smirked. "Oh my, Lucy Heartfilia. I never expected you to come to me. I was planning to bring you here."

Lucy couldn't help but gulp at the sight of Minerva. The Grand Magic Games weren't that long ago, and the memory of Minerva torturing her during one of the events still haunted the Celestial Spirit Wizard. Still, this was no time to get cold feet. She wasn't alone this time. She had Erza, and Vex, and Ichigo, and their Digimon… as well as her very own Digimon.

Speaking of Agunimon, he took a step forward, putting an arm in front of Lucy protectively while glaring at the Territory Magic user. 'So she was the one who hurt Lucy. I won't let anyone hurt her while I'm around.' Agunimon promised himself while clenching his fist.

"Stand down, Minerva. You're outnumbered." Erza reasoned as she stepped forward, with Vex and Gaomon doing the same. Using her free hand, Erza offered it to Minerva. "Come with us peacefully, back to your Guild. Save whatever pride you have left."

"You really think too highly of pride, Titania." Minerva spat out with heavy sarcasm in her voice. Doriate was either defeated or killed, and the creature she rode on was most likely defeated as well. Minerva hated to admit it, but she was alone. However, she wasn't about to give up so easily. "We'll meet again one day. And when we do, I'll be the last one standing."

"Pyro Barrage!" Being fed up with Minerva's taunts, Agunimon launched several fireballs towards the black haired female, who leaped into the air. With a final smirk, Minerva waved her hand, covering herself with her magic before she disappeared. Agunimon gritted his teeth in frustration.

"It's okay, Agunimon." Lucy said in a soft tone, putting a hand on her partner's shoulder. He glanced at her for a moment before his expression softened.

"I'm sorry." Agunimon said with an apologetic tone, earning a smile from Lucy.

"Are you alright, Erza?" Vex asked the Titania, who stared at the spot Minerva once stood before sighing.

"Yes. Thank you for coming here." Erza said with a grateful tone. She then remembered the other person, or rather Mon, who was helping her. "Zubamon!"

"I'm… alright…" Zubamon spoke up as he stood up. However, the pain got the best of him as he began to fall over, only for Gaomon to catch him.

"Easy. You took a lot of damage." Gaomon said as he wrapped Zubamon's arm around his shoulders. "Who are you and where did you come from?"

"My name… is Zubamon." Zubamon answered as he glanced at Gaomon. "I'm a wandering warrior, who seeks to bring justice to those who deserve it." He looked down at the icy floor and narrowed his eyes. "I was coming to this village to rest when IT happened."

"You saw who did this?" Vex asked while kneeling down to Zubamon's level.

"No, I didn't." Zubamon said with a frustrated tone, much to everyone's disappointment. "When I felt the air begin to freeze up, I tried to warn the giants, but it was too late. I barely had time to get away." The golden armor Digimon clenched his claws. "I should've been fast enough."

"Don't blame yourself." Erza said with a reassuring tone. "You attempted to help the Giants, and that's enough. You shouldn't burden yourself." Zubamon gave Erza a brief look of surprise before he nodded. This woman(who he still couldn't believe was a child not long ago) was a true warrior: humble, honorable, and strong. He could see himself working with her for the time being.

"Megan. Come on, wake up." Ichigo said while shaking the unconcious girl as gently as he could.

*SLAP*

Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for his Digimon partner. "Pawnchessmon, wake up! We don't have time to sleep on the job!" Terriermon shouted as he shook the black knight Digimon, slapping his helmet with his little paw. The others couldn't help but sweatdrop at what Terriermon was doing, mostly because it ruined the moment.

However, his rough treatment seem to work as Pawnchessmon slowly began to regain consciousness.

*SLAP*SLAP*

"WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP!" Because he was still slapping his comrade, Terriermon couldn't hear Pawnchessmon groan and he continued his rough treatment. Pawnchessmon slowly began to clench his fist, lifting it up from the ground.

*PUNCH*

"I'M AWAKE!" His mind clear, Pawchessmon gave the bunny Digimon a hard right swing, sending him flying into Agunimon's chest. Due to Terriermon's small figure, Agunimon barely felt it as he caught the little Digimon.

"Hello President Wingmon, how can I help you~~~~" Terriermon's eyes turned to swirls as he visioned multiple Pawnchessmon floating above him. Pawnchessmon stood up, giving Terriermon a look of annoyance before noticing everyone else.

"What happened?" Pawnchessmon spoke before he noticed the condition of his Tamer. "MEGAN!"

"Pawn… Chessmon?" Stirring in her sleep, Megan opened one eye as she lifted herself up. Ichigo helped her up, ensure she wouldn't push herself. She let out a small groan as she rubbed her head. However, upon doing so, she noticed her hand had reverted back to her adult form, causing her to gasp. "I'm back to normal?"

"You wouldn't believe what we went through." Ichigo said as he helped Megan back on her feet. "Can you move?"

"Just give me a minute." Megan continued to rub her head before she felt the pain lessen. She looked around and noticed the group. "When did you get here? And where's Minerva?"

"Gone. She left when Lucy and the others arrived." Erza said with a serious tone. "But we can worry about her later. We must get to the Eternal Flame. Hopefully, the others will meet us there."

"Before that…." Lucy sweatdropped a bit as she noticed Megan's lack of clothing on her lower region. "We need to get your clothes back. I don't think you can walk like that."

Megan looked down and noticed her missing pants, causing her to blush madly as Ichigo kept his eyes away.

"Pants~~~~~"

'With Wizard group A'

Shifting back to the other group, Natsu and Wendy were currently leading them through the frozen forest, their Exceeds flying close by.

"Flame Brain, are we getting any closer?" Gray called out with a slightly impatient tone.

"I think so. The voice is getting a little louder!" Natsu shouted back, his attention focused forward.

"What about you, Wendy?" Sarah asked the female Dragon Slayer. Wendy closed her eyes, focusing all her senses on hearing.

"I can hear it. It's over this mountain." Wendy spoke up.

"Happy and I will fly ahead and see if we can find anything." Carla replied as she and Happy took the sky. They were able to fly up the mountain and see-

*Boom*

Suddenly, the air in the area became tense, causing the humans and Digimon to stop. "W-Wow, what's going on?" Haru said, a bead of sweat running down his head.

"The air… it feels so heavy…" Tsubaki said, an uneasy feeling growing in her stomach.

"It's a Digimon." Kyuubimon said with narrowed eyes.

"Are you sure?" Akame asked her partner, who nodded.

"It smells icky. I hate icky." Growlmon growled as his pupils turned to slits.

"This aura must be coming from the Eternal Flame." Peckmon theorized, though even he was narrowing his eyes in suspicion.

"Hey! We see something!" Happy called out urgently. "I think something found the Flame."

"Come on!" Natsu shouted as he continued to run, despite the strange feeling in the air. The others took a few breaths before they followed suit. The group soon reached the top of the hill and caught sight… of a red haired woman in a red dress? "What the?"

Walking in a rather zombie-like way was a young woman, with long hair tied in a long braid, tan skin, long red gloves and a red dress that showed the tattoo on her chest. "I didn't know someone else was here." Wendy said with a gasp.

"Who is she?" Agumon asked with an utterly confused tone. Was there more of those Treasure Hunters than the ones they had seen, or was this woman with that girl from before?

"Wait, I know her." Carla said as she flew down, her brown eyes narrowed suspiciously at the woman walking towards them.

"Yeah, we've seen her before…" Gray trailed off before his eyes widened. "Hey, she's from Raven Tail!" The others, with the exception of the Digimon, all widened their eyes in realization. It was indeed Flare from Ivan Makarov's Guild!

"That's right! She was in the Raven Tail Guild during the Grand Magic Games!" Tsubaki gasped.

"And she's also the one who almost killed Asuka and beat up Lucy." Natsu growled as he began to march towards her. "What are you doing here? What does Raven Tail want from the Giants?!"

"De… troy…" Flare muttered some words under her breath, but they were too faint for anyone to hear.

"What did she say?" Haru asked with a raised brow.

"Must… destr…. Umans…" Again, Flare muttered some words, yet no one could hear what she was saying. Natsu briefly stopped his march, his glare turning into a confused frown.

"What's up with her?" Natsu asked, obviously confused.

"Maybe she hit her head." Happy theorized as he landed on Natsu's shoulder. Akame kept her eyes focused on the new arrival.

'Something's not right.' Akame thought before she activates her Magic. Not only is her Vision Magic capable of viewing any weak points, but it is also useful in finding hidden details the naked eye would normally miss.

And what she saw on Flare confirmed her suspicion.

"Hey, are you listening? What's wrong with you?" Natsu said as Flare stopped in front of him, her bangs covering her eyes. Feeling annoyed, Natsu raised his hand. "We don't have time to mess around, so mo-"

*SLASH*

The moment was so fast, Natsu barely registered what had happened. He felt a hand pull him back as some of Flare's hair began to fly in the air, riding the wind. "Kyubimon, attack!"

"Yes." Was all Kyuubimon said as she pounced towards Flare. Flare clenched her fists as more of her hair caught fire before they moved towards the yellow fox Digimon. With a swift swipe of her paws, Kyuubimon cut down the weaponized hair before she slashed Flare on the back.

"AAAAHHHH!" Before anyone could ask what was going on, an inhuman screech erupted from Flare's back before something materialized out of thin air. What was attached to Flare's back was a purple spider-like creature with a single green eye. It continued to scream before it dissolves into data, which Kyuubimon absorbed. Flare let out a gasp before she fell forward, only for Natsu to quickly catch her.

"What the heck was that?!" Happy exclaimed in shock.

"So it was a Digimon who was controlling her." Sarah said with a frown as she took out her Digivice. "Parasimon, the Parasite Digimon. It's said to such the life force out of anyone it latches onto. It also has the ability to control those when its tentacles latch on someone's head, which explains what happened to Miss Redhead over there."

"A Digimon that can control people. Great." Gray said with a hand in his pocket.

"But why didn't it turn back into a Digi Egg?" Agumon asked innocently. As far as he and Natsu knew, whenever a Digimon was defeated and their energy was absorbed, they would go back into an egg form. Haru, Tsubaki, Akame, Sarah and their Digimon all sported dark expressions, something that didn't go unnoticed.

"I-Is something wrong?" Wendy asked worriedly.

"You see, most of the time, whenever we defeat a Digimon is defeated, they always turn back into an egg." Tsubaki said sadly. "But… that's not always the case."

"How so?" Carla asked with a raised brow.

"You see, sometimes a Digimon is infected by darkness and they become Virus Digimon. When that happens, they lose themselves." Haru said with sad eyes.

"And when we take them down… they die." Sarah finished with a grim tone.

The atmosphere became tense at the new information. Digimon… can die? It should've been obvious that anyone could die, but it was still rather shocking to hear how even they could be corrupt. And from the way the Tamers were talking about it, they weren't fans of putting down innocent Digimon.

"Mmmm…" The sound of Flare groaning broke them out of their funk. Natsu turned Flare's body as her face could be faced towards the sky. With a few twitches, Flare opened her eyes, her crimson eyes staring at the face of Natsu Dragneel. "Prince… Charming?"

"Wait, what?" Natsu asked before he abruptly dropped Flare on the icy floor, getting a sweatdrop from everyone else. "Who the hell is Prince Charming?"

"We'll worry about that later, Hot Shot." Sarah said with a small giggle as Flare pushed herself up, rubbing the back of her head.

"What happened?" Flare groaned as she began to take in her surroundings. It felt like the last few minutes were gone in a flash, and she had a rather bad headache.

"You tell us. Why are you here?" Gray questioned, getting straight to the point.

"Do you need me to heal you?" Wendy offered, raising her hands.

"No, I'm okay. I just need… THE FLAME!" Flare suddenly widened her eyes as she stood up, albeit with a small wobble. " need to stop him from taking the Flame!"

"Stop who?" Akame said with narrowed eyes. Was she talking about the others that attacked her and the others? More Treasure Hunters? Or was this something new entirely? Flare suddenly felt her mouth go dry as she began to recall what happened prior to her blackout.

She came to the village to see how the Giants were.

Saw it was frozen whole.

She went to check the Flame.

And HE was there.

"Hey, we need to know what you're talking about. We don't have time to wait." Natsu said in an urgent tone.

"The Devil…" Flare spoke up, a frightened tone in her voice.

"Devil?" Peckmon questioned in confusion.

"He looked like the Devil himself." Flare said as she began to hug herself, as if the cold was NOW starting to affect her. "I wanted to make sure the Eternal Flame was safe, and I saw him… trying to free the Flame. He wanted the Flame and HE WOULD LEAVE MY VILLAGE TO FREEZE TO GET IT!" She shouted the last part in pure anger. However, her words caused everyone to gasp in surprise.

"You're from Sun Village?" Happy asked with comedic wide eyes.

"But she's not a giant!" Agumon added with equally comedic eyes as his jaw was open wide.

"Then it means that she was adopted." Sarah concluded with her arms crossed under her bust. "Look, we're here to help the Giants too. Can you show us where the Eternal Flame is?" Flare glanced at everyone for a moment, surprised by the reason behind their arrival. She wanted to ask that blonde busty girl from the Grand Magic Games to help her, even to the point where she went to Fairy Hills bathing room to talk to her. Yet she couldn't find her at all. The only choice she had was to come back home, and look out that turned out.

Maybe asking these guys for help would give her a better chance of freeing her family.

"Follow me." Flare said as she motioned everyone to run. Giving her a nod of understanding, Team A began to run through the frozen forest, with the Champion level Digimon breaking down the trees. However, the further they ran, the more the air around them felt heavier. "Just past these trees."

"Here we go." Natsu muttered, his fists clenched tightly.

The group then reached the end of the forest…

*BOOM*

… Only for a green wave of magic to strike the ground in front of them, forcing them all to step back. "What the?!" Thanks to his heightened hearing, Natsu was able to back up just as a loner figure leaped out of the trees, stabbing the area were the Dragon Slayer stood a moment ago. It took Natsu a moment to recognize the attacker as none other than the masked assassin Callum, who raised his head to stare at his would be victim. "YOU!"

"Don't forget lil old me~~~" Haru's ears twitched as he looked up, only to find Yuuki looking down at him from a frozen branch with an 'innocent' smile. "I thought you forgot about me. How rude."

"Damn, an ambush." Akame drew her katana as Tsubaki and Sarah requipped their weapons. Dobermon leaped out of the shadows and next to his Tamer while Dorumon landed on the same branch Yuuki was sitting on.

"Let me guess: you're with that Devil Flare talked about and you're acting as bodyguards." Gray said with a suspicious tone. It was more of an obvious observation than anything.

"You will not interfere with our plans." Callum said in a monotone voice, his kunai raised in a defensive stance.

"And what are your plans? Because freezing a whole village is a little crazy if you ask me." Haru said with a hint of anger in his voice. He felt his eyebrow twitch as Yuuki giggled, flipping down from the branch with Dorumon.

"Awww, that's cute. You think we'd tell you our plans like some kind of villain." Yuuki teased with a bright smile. "Sorry to disappoint you, but that's on a need to know basis. But why don't we have some fun?" To emphasis her point, Yuuki slowly drew out her sword.

"We can't stay here." Carla whispered in a low tone. "They could steal the Eternal Flame at any moment."

"But they won't let us through." Wendy said as she bit her lip. Natsu looked back at his friends, then back at Callum. He knew how fast the masked male was, which would make it almost impossible to get past him. The only way they would get to the Eternal Flame is if some of them stayed behind to fight Callum, Yuuki and their Digimon.

Not that he was against the idea, since he wanted a rematch.

"Agumon, are you charged up?" Natsu whispered to his Digimon partner. Even though he hadn't eaten that much, the yellow dinosaur-like Digimon gave a short nod. With a grin, Natsu quickly took out his Digivice and aimed it forward. "Then it's time we kicked some ass! Agumon… Digivolve!"

(Play Brave Heart)

"Agumon, Digivolve to…" Agumon rushed forward as his whole body was enveloped in a bright blue light. Dobermon didn't think twice as he lunged towards Agumon, teeth ready to bite the soon to be Champion down.

"Oh no you don't!" Natsu jumped between the two Digimon, punching Dobermon on the cheek with a flaming fist, earning a growl of annoyance from his opponent. Agumon soon began to grow taller and taller until he took on the form of Greymon, letting out a monstrous roar.

"GREYMON!" Greymon stood in front of his Tamer, glaring down at their opponents with his red eyes.

"Guys, you go find the Eternal Flame. Me and Greymon can hold these guys off!" Natsu shouted as he began throwing several flaming fists at Callum, who nimbly dodged them. Greymon, in the meantime, swung his tail at Yuuki, Dobermon and Dorumon, striking down a frozen tree in the process.

"Are you crazy, Ash Tray? We aren't leaving you behind." Gray said with a serious tone. As much as he fought Natsu, even he would worry about the guy every once in a while.

"He won't be." Haru said as he aimed the Ten Commandments sword forward, a big grin plastered on his face. "Me and Growlmon will stay with him. You guys should go while you can." The others looked at each other for a moment before they nodded in agreement. Even though Flare had no idea what was going on, all she wanted to do was get to the Flame, nothing more. "Clear a path, buddy!"

"Pyro Blaster!" Opening his mouth, Growlmon unleashed a large energy ball from his mouth, striking the ground hard enoughforce to making an opening.

"Happy, go with them! I'll catch up later!" Natsu shouted at his Exceed. Happy wanted to stay and help Natsu fight, but with Greymon, Growlmon and Haru with him, it seemed the pink haired Dragon Slayer had more than enough backup.

"Make sure to kick their butts, Natsu!" Happy cheered out with a paw in the air as he and the others began to run through the path Growlmon made.

"Don't lose Flame Brain." Gray said as he began to run past Natsu. The two rivals had a split second to look at one another before they high fived each other.

"Metal Cannon!" Dorumon began to charge silver energy in his mouth before he fired a large iron sphere towards the group. Luckily, Growlmon extended his left claw, blocking the attack successfully with little damage.

"Here we go!" With a grin, Haru's Ten Commandments Sword began to glow and change shape. It soon changed into its Silfarion form. "Ten Commandments: Silfarion Mode!"

The final battle had begun.

'With Team B'

"Over this hill is the Eternal Flame. We must hurry." Zubamon spoke up as he and the others continued to run up one of the many hills located outside of Sun Village. Despite the pain that was inflicted on him by Minerva, the gold armored Digimon pushed past the pain and run alongside his fellow Digimon.

"Something's wrong. The air feels heavier than before." Gaomon commented with narrowed eyes.

"Could it be from another Digimon?" Lucy asked as Agunimon carried her in his arms.

"Maybe. This negative aura is something we haven't faced." Vex said grimly. "We need to get to the Flame now."

*Rumble*

Everyone stopped for a brief moment as the ground slowly began to shake. Not only that, but a surge of magic was slowly beginning to seep out of the ground. "This power, is it the Eternal Flame?" Erza questioned with narrowed eyes.

"Whatever it is, I don't like it." Terriermon said as he held onto Black Pawnchessmon's head.

"Let's go!" Ichigo shouted as the group continued their trek forward.

"HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE….." A strange cackle began to ring in the air as dark clouds slowly formed in the sky. Once the group reached the open field, they were all shocked to see what, or rather WHO was standing there. "After years of walking this pitiful world, I have found a source of pure energy, all for my taking." In front of the frozen Eternal Flame was none other than Devimon, who looked at it with a dark grin as his hands were pressed against the ice. Slowly, dark energy began to enter the ice, causing small cracks to appear on it.

"W-W-Who is that?" Lucy said with a frightened tone. Just looking at Devimon sent a shiver down her spine.

"I can feel his energy. It's so dark." Agunimon admitted with gritted teeth. Vex tried his best to stop his shaky hand as he took out his Digivice to scan this strange Digimon.

"Devimon, Fallen Angel Champion Digimon. Originally, it was once an Angemon, who was consumed by darkness and became a bringer of death. It's said to be able to control anyone with a touch of a finger." Vex announced as he stared at the tall Digimon. "This could be one of the Gates of Hell Doriate mentioned before his death."

"And from the way he was talking, it looks like he wants the Eternal Flame." Ichigo added with narrowed eyes.

"The energy he's emitting… it's magic. Dark magic." Erza said suspiciously as she requipped a sword in hand. "Are Digimon capable of using magic?"

"No. In all the time I've spent with the D-Warriors, I've never met a Digimon who could use magic. It must be from all the Ethernanon in the air." Vex theorized while rubbing his chin before he shook his head. "We'll worry about that later. Right now, we have a job to do."

"Hmm?" Devimon sensed several individuals before turning his head. He let out a small scoff as he noticed a group of humans and Digimon staring at him. "Wonderful. More pests to get in my way. If you value your lives, leave." He warned darkly.

"Are you the one who froze this village just for the Eternal Flame?" Erza questioned loudly, though to her surprise, Devimon grinned.

"I'm flattered you would think I caused this, but I am innocent… somewhat." Devimon said as he gestured towards the frozen village. "Me and my allies were originally planning on slaughtering the village below and take the Eternal Flame, but imagine our surprise when we discovered the area had already been taken care of. But the less distractions for us, the better."

"Don't you know what will happen if the Flame is taken?! Everyone in the village will stay frozen forever." Gaomon said, only growl as Devimon chuckled.

"And how does that concern me? Unlike you soft hearted Digimon and your human pets, I care for nothing but myself. So what if a few measly lives are taken? Their deaths will serve our goal." Devimon declared before he shook my head. "But I'm getting off topic. Since you aren't smart enough to leave when I kindly offered an escape, I have no choice but to eliminate you."

"Oh yeah? You and what army?!" Terriermon shouted bravely as he pointed a finger at Devimon. He was just one Champion level Digimon, so it shouldn't be too difficult for them if they ganged up on him.

Unfortunately, Terriermon spoke too soon.

"An army, you say?" Devimon said with heavy amusement. "Very well, you wanted an army, HERE'S MY ARMY!" The clouds above suddenly began to rumble, as if a storm was coming.

"I got a bad feeling about this." Agunimon said with narrowed eyes. The gang looked up and noticed a particularly dark cloud slowly began to descend from the sky.

*Flap*Flap*Flap*

However, the sound of a flock of birds could be heard from the cloud. "What is that?" Lucy asked as Agunimon allowed her to stand on her own two feet.

"Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe…" The wizards and Digimon gasped in shock as the cloud was revealed to be a flock of bat-like creatures. Their bodies were completely round, with light blue skin over a tattered dark blue mask, flame-like appendages on their heads, big gold eyes, a skull insignia on their foreheads, talons with three red nails on each foot, and short bat wings. "Did you call us, Big Bro?" One of the bat creatures asked Devimon while flying next to him. Ichigo took out his Digivice to scan the new flock of Digimon.

"DemiDevimon, Rookie level mini devil Digimon. They tempt people and Digimon to give into their dark desires." Ichigo said as the group of DemiDevimon got closer.

"... You just HAD to ask, didn't you?" Gaomon said as he turned to Terriermon with a blank expression.

"My brothers, hear my call! Those humans plan to interrupt my feast. Destroy them and all their power will be yours!" Devimon ordered the small flock of bats, who all giggled menacingly.

"You heard him. IT'S FEEDING TIME!" The DemiDevimon all laughed before they began to divebomb towards the Heroes.

"Here they come!" Vex shouted as he, Ichigo and Megan took out their Digivices, causing them to glow their respective colors.

"DIGIVOLVE!"

'Back with Natsu and Haru'

"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu roared as he threw a fist at Callum, who quickly blocked it with his arm. "I don't care what you guys are doing here. You won't win."

"Then you're a bigger fool than I thought." Callum said bluntly before he narrowed his eyes. "Bringing a child to a war is unforgivable."

"Are you talking about Wendy? You don't know her like I do!" Natsu ignited his left foot before throwing a kick towards his opponent, barely grazing him. He then opened his hand towards Callum's face, igniting it. "Fire Dragon Grip-!"

*Slash*

Natsu grimaced as Callum slashed his wrist with his kunai, blood squirting out of his wound. Callum then pressed his left hand on Natsu's chest as it began to glow green. "Titan Force!" Much like their last battle, the masked attacker used his magic and fired Natsu away. The Dragon Slayer flew through the air with a pain filled expression before he suddenly flipped his body.

*BOOM*

Natsu planted his feet against a tree, the force behind his landing created some cracks on the side. "Not this time!" Natsu shouted before his feet unleashed a large amount of flames, launching him forward. "Fire Dragon Sword Horn!" Engulfing his body in a dragon shaped flame, Natsu straightened his body before he slammed his head against Callum's stomach, earning a small groan of pain.

"RRRAAAAHHHHH!" Dobermon let out a beast like roar as he leaped forward, taking a bite of Greymon's short arm. Greymon let out a roar of pain as he began to move the dog-like Pokemon side by said. Releasing his opponent, Dobermon clawed at the much larger Digimon on the face.

"Giant Horn Attack!" Pushing through the pain, Greymon rushed in and slammed his horn against Dobermon, causing him to howl in pain as he crashed on the ground. "Leave us alone. We're trying to save the Giants."

"Quiet!" Dobermon shouted as he stood back up, several scratches on his body. Despite the pain, he glared deeply at Greymon. "I do this for Callum, and if you stand in my way, I will rip you apart, piece by piece!" Opening his mouth, Dobermon unleashed a Black Beam, striking Greymon in the chest and causing him to crash onto the ground.

*CLASH*CLASH*CLASH*

Close by, Haru and Yuuki moved at high speed, clashing their blades and leaving sparks on the ground. Jumping off a tree, Haru swung his sword horizontally, forcing Yuuki to block it before she delivered a solid kick to his face. Grunting slightly, Haru landed on the ground as Yuuki followed suit. "I don't get it. Why are you okay with letting the Giants die? They didn't do anything!" Haru shouted while holding his sword with both hands.

"Just because they aren't a threat to us doesn't mean they won't be a problem later on." Yuuki said without a hint of remorse in her voice. "Sorry if that goes against your Hero's Code, but it's nothing personal."

"You made it personal when you came here." Haru said in a serious tone as his sword began to glow again. "Now I'm gonna finish this!" The Silfarion sword began to change shape as the light forced Yuuki to turn away from a moment. Haru pressed his foot against the ground before he launched himself towards Yuuki.

*Slash*

A gasp escaped the purple haired female's lips as she felt Haru cut the left side of her stomach. 'He got me?' Yuuki thought in shock as she felt some blood drip on the icy floor.

"YUUKI!" Dorumon shouted as he looked away from his fight with Growlmon to check on his Tamer. He began to run towards Yuuki, only for Growlmon to slam his tail on the ground, blocking his path.

"Sorry, pal. But you have to fight me." Growlmon said with a serious tone. Dorumon leaped up and attempt to bite Growlmon, only for the red lizard to grab him with one hand.

"You'll pay!" Yuuki turned towards Haru with an angry tone. But as she was about to grab her sword… she suddenly felt her body froze in place. "What?!" She attempted to move, but it was as if her whole body was asleep.

"Didn't see that coming, did you?" Haru asked rhetorically as he placed his sword on his shoulder. It was then that the Ten Commandments Sword transformed.

It was a long dark blue blade with an arrow shaped tip, a light blue sword insignia near the hilt, a pair of light blue wing like appendages near the hilt and a blue sword hilt.

Haru gave Yuuki a smirk as he noticed her attempt to move. "Ten Commandments: Mel Force. It's one of my favorite swords." He said with a satisfied tone. "See, whenever I cut someone with the Mel Force Sword, they stay paralyzed. It doesn't last too long, but all I need is a few minutes." He then adopted a serious expression as he turned his body towards Yuuki. "I'll give you a chance to give up. If you won't, then I'll have to knock you out." Yuuki didn't say anything at that moment. All she did was glare at the silver haired male. How could he do something like this to HER of all people?! She hadn't trained for years just to be stopped by the likes of Haru… no matter how cute he was.

After a few moments, Yuuki's glare shifted into a seductive smirk. "Give me everything you've got then, Cutie~" Yuuki said with a wink. Haru actually stumbled a bit from her flirting, but he kept a serious stance.

"This is your fault, don't forget it." Haru moved his sword in a clockwards action before he gripped the Mel Force Sword, one foot in front of the other, ready to strike.

Natsu and Callum smashed arms against one another for the umpenth time, yet it didn't appear that they were affected. They simply had the goal of overpowering the other and getting back to their mission. However, upon hearing Haru's words towards Yuuki, the masked kunai wielder took his eyes away from Natsu and noticed his ally standing in place. Even with the smile on her face, Callum could see the sweat running down the side of her temple. She was scared.

"Get her, Haru!" Natsu cheered with a grin. If they could take out one of these guys, then the other would be a piece of cake.

'Yuuki!' Callum looked back at his ally with partially wide eyes, though no one could tell due to his mask.

"HYAH!" Haru let out a battle cry as he launched himself towards Yuuki, sword ready to strike. Yuuki lost her smile as she braced herself for the attack…

*BANG*

Time seemed to slow down as Haru's blade struck something.

But it wasn't skin… it was iron.

In the blink of an eye, Callum kneed Natsu hard in the stomach and put himself between Haru and his ally, blocking the former's sword with his kunai. Despite the size difference, Callum was able to hold his own as he glared at Haru. "Callum…" Yuuki whispered in surprise.

"Got ya." A smirk appeared on Haru's face as his sword began to glow. Callum actually widened his eyes in shock, realizing his error in judgement. "BoomBurst!"

*BOOM*

A large gust of wind was suddenly shot from Haru's Mel Force Sword, sending both Callum and Yuuki flying away. "NO!" Dobermon leaped off Greymon's head and used his body to cushion his Tamer and Yuuki's fall, sending the three of them crashing onto the ground. Dorumon angrily bit Growlmon's hand, causing him to scream in pain before he released the Rookie Level Digimon. The purple and white Digimon then rushed to his Tamer, nudging her worriedly.

"Yuuki, are you okay?" Dorumon asked with concern. Despite still being paralyzed, Yuuki still gave her Digimon partner a strained smile. He then looked back at Haru with a look of pure anger. "He hurt you… he hurt you, and I wanna hurt HIM!" His red eyes turned gold as he looked hatefully at the human who hurt his best friend. He wanted to beat him up, to tear him apart until there was NOTHING LEFT!

"Nice one, man." Natsu complimented as he, Growlmon and Greymon all gathered around him, ready to fight as a team.

*Cough*Cough*

To make matters worse for Yuuki, she heard Callum begin to cough hard. She managed to turn her head slightly… and see Callum remove his mask a bit, spitting out blood. "C-Callum?"

"His condition." Dobermon said as he stood up, moving his Tamer's body on his body to carry him. He then looked back at Yuuki and actually looked concerned as opposed to his usual look. "We need to leave. Now."

"No… the mission." Callum interjected, only to cough even harder.

"What's going on?" Natsu asked, his stance dropping a bit as he watched the person he was fighting cough like he was sick. If there was one thing Natsu Dragneel didn't like, it was unfair fights. Yuuki gritted her teeth as she began to move her arm as if it was made of metal and needed oil. She then reached into her pocket, searching for something.

"Last chance. Give. Up." Haru warned as he and Natsu slowly began to walk towards them. Dorumon continued to growl as he stood protectively in front of Yuuki. Dobermon, which preoccupied with Callum, still prepared himself for the battle. Yuuki continued to look through her pocket frantically before she felt the object she needed, allowing herself to smile.

"Maybe next time, handsome." Yuuki said before he took out what appeared to be a light blue crystal. She then brought it close to her mouth. "Return to Guild."

Natsu, Haru and their Digimon gasped in shock as they saw the Crystal Yuuki was holding begin to glow, along with the group. "GREYMON!" Hearing his Tamer call his name, the large orange dinosaur roared as he began to charge towards Callum and Yuuki in an attempt to stop them. However, just as he was about to reach them… they disappeared in a flash of light. Seeing this, Greymon stopped his advance, looking at the spot where they stood before frowning. "Dammit! They got away." Natsu complained with an annoyed expression on his face. It was bad enough his first fight with Callum was cut short, but again?! What a letdown.

"At least we don't need to worry about them now." Haru said with a sigh as his sword reverted back to normal.

"Do we go back to the others, Harumon?" Growlmon asked curiously.

*Rumble*

Like with the others, Natsu and Haru both heard the sound of the clouds rumbling as the normally bright blue sky turned dark. "Rain?" Natsu asked before he felt a sudden chill in the air. "No, this is magic."

"Let's go!" Haru shouted as he climbed on Growlmon's back, with Natsu doing the same with his Digimon.

Something told them that their needs needed them more than ever.

'Back with the others'

"Ice Make: Lance!"

"Circle Sword!"

"Black Bolt!"

"Getsuga Tensho!"

"Rapid Fire!"

"Sky Dragon Roar!"

Multiple explosions occurred in the middle of the icy battlefield. The wizards of both Fairy Tail and D-Warriors were giving it their all as they fought off the army of DemiDevimon. Despite their rather small stature, the mini devil Digimon were aggressive as a pack. "Demi Darts!" The DemiDevimon dive bombed towards the humans yet again, carrying large syringes in their tiny talons.

"Spiral Blow!" Gaomon leaped in the air before he unleashed a vortex of wind from his mouth, forcing the DemiDevimon to split up.

"Gargo Pellets!" Unfortunately, Gargomon was prepared for this and unleashed a barrage of green energy bullets from his arms. The unfortunate DemiDevimon who were caught in the attack could only scream before they were eradicated.

"Pyro Tornado!" Agunimon engulfed his body in flames before he began spinning like a tornado, kicking Devimon on the back of his right knee. Though he did flinch, Devimon sent a wave of dark energy to send the fire Digimon flying. Luckily, Kyuubimon leaped into the air and caught Agunimon before he could fall, allowing them to land on the ground softly. "Thanks."

"Don't attack until we have a plan." Kyuubimon scolded as Agunimon stood on his own two feet. She then glared up at Devimon before the tips of her tails were ignited with small white flames. "Follow my lead."

"Right!" Agunimon slammed his fists together, allowing them to be covered with hot flames. "Pyro Barrage!" He then punched his fists, launching two large fireballs.

"Fox Tail Inferno!" Kyubimon threw several white fireballs from her tail. Both flames merged together before they struck Devimon's back.

"Grrrr, YOU PESTS!" Angered by the attack, Devimon removed his right arm from the frozen flame and unleashed a beam of dark energy, forcing everyone to jump out of the way.

"This isn't getting us anywhere." Akame said with a deep frown as she dodged more of DemiDevimon's darts. Being a close range fighter, she couldn't exactly attack the DemiDevimon while they were in the air.

"We have to focus on Devimon. If he keeps putting more dark magic in the Eternal Flame, we won't be able to use it to free the village!" Vex urged while firing another Black Bolt, shooing away more DemiDevimon.

"The issue is that none of our attacks are working. Even if we use a powerful spell, it has no effect on him." Erza said in frustration, having requipped into her Heaven's Wheel Armor. She unleashed several more swords at Devimon, only for them to bounce off his skin like rubber.

"It doesn't matter. We need to save the Flame!" Flare said urgently as she used her magic to whip more of the little bats.

"Knightchessmon, go!" Sarah commanded as her and Megan's Knightchessmon began to gallop forward. Megan's Knightchessmon was very similar to its white counterpart, only with a black color scheme to help tell the difference.

"Knight Lancer!" Both Knightchessmon raised their large darts as they charged towards Devimon with every intention to pierce his skin. Devimon let out an amused smirk as he swung his right arm, sending both giant Digimon flying.

"Hey you big jerk! Over here!" Happy shouted while flying in front of Devimon's face with a very forced brave face. "Y-Y-You want a p-piece of me?" To prove his point, Happy took out a fish and threw it at the Champion level Digimon's face, getting his attention.

"A flying rodent? A nice little snack for the feast I'm about to have." Devimon said with a smirk as he opened his mouth, a gust of wind emerged from it. Happy let out a startled scream as he felt Devimon slowly begin to suck him in.

"I DON'T WANNA BE DEMON FOOD! HELP!" Happy shouted as he desperately tried to fly away. However, it was clear that his efforts were in vain as he was slowly being pulled, inch by inch.

Much to his relief, Peckmon and Tsubaki leaped into the air and grabbed Happy before he could get sucked in. Using her own Requip magic, Tsubaki summoned several small bombs before throwing them into Devimon's mouth, causing a large explosion to erupt. Devimon coughed out smoke, giving the human a glare. "Are you okay?" Tsubaki asked the Exceed in concern.

"Thank you!" Happy cried as he hugged Tsubaki tightly.

"Hang on!" Peckmon shouted as multiple DemiDevimon began to fly towards them, talons ready to strike. "Spiral Claw!" Raising his foot, Peckmon began to spin his feet in a drill like fashion, piercing through each of the little bats as they disappeared into nothing.

"Nova Blast/Pyro Blaster!" Two large attacks suddenly struck Devimon on the back, actually forcing him to move a bit.

"Natsu! Haru!" Wendy shouted with a smile as she saw the two riding their respective Digimon to join the fight.

"Fire Dragon Roar!" Natsu unleashed a powerful stream of flames, striking Devimon from behind.

"Throw me up, buddy!" Haru ordered his Digimon while jumping into Growlmon's hand. Making sure not to squeeze Haru, Growlmon threw the silver haired swordsman like a baseball, straight towards the devil Digimon. Changing his sword into its Explosion Blade before he slammed it on Devimon's back, creating an even larger explosion.

"Open, Gate of the Golden Bull, Taurus. And Gate of the Lion, Loke!" Lucy took out two of her Celestial Keys before they began to glow. Appearing in front of her were none other than her two most iconic Celestial Spirits.

"Mmmmmooooooo! Helloooooo miss Luuuuuucy!" Taurus said with his axe on his shoulder. "You need to save your bountiful pilloooooooooooows?"

"Bountiful pillows? What?" Sarah asked in surprise, lower his rifle to stare at the new spirit. Taurus turned towards her, only to go gaga at her appearance.

"Ooooohhhhh, my! Hellooooooooo miss. Need my services?!" Taurus said with hearts in his eyes, getting close to the gunslinger of the D-Warriors. She took a step back, looking at Lucy with a 'what is his problem' look.

"Hello beautiful." To make matters worse, Loke appeared next to Sarah, his glasses sparkling as he offered a hand to her. "Might I say you look amazing today. Would you like to have dinner with me sometime?"

"Hello?! We have a problem here!" Lucy said with clear irritation, pointing at Devimon. "He's trying to steal something important and we need your help!"

"Does this occur often?" Zubamon couldn't help but ask Erza with a flat expression. They were in the middle of an intense battle, yet these… people… were preoccupied trying to flirt with Sarah.

"Unfortunately, yes." Erza said with her own flat tone.

"Okay, miss Lucy. Anything for youuuuuuu and your breasts!" Taurus said as he held his axe with both hands.

"We can chit chat about what we're dealing with later. Time to give use some light." Loke said with a smirk as he held his right fist as it began to glow brightly. He and Taurus then began to run towards Devimon, leaping high enough to each his legs. "Regulus Fist!"

"MMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Loke slammed his glowing fist on Devimon's left leg while Taurus slashed his right leg. While the latter did little to damage the devil Digimon, the Lion Spirit's light was able to burn some of the black skin.

"Keep attacking!" The wizards and Digimon continued to bombard Devimon with their attacks, each one more annoying than the last.

"Enough…" Natsu, Wendy, Haru, Growlmon and Greymon struck Devimon's right arm.

"Enough…" Agunimon, Gaogamon, Gargomon, Vex, Ichigo and Lucy's Spirits attacked his left arm.

"Enough!" Erza, Sarah, Tsubaki, Akame, Gray, Flare, Kyubimon, Peckmon and the Knightchessmon focused their attacks on his wings.

And that was Devimon's breaking point.

"ENOUGH!"

*BOOM*

Devimon let out a monstrous roar as a wave of black energy was blown throughout the area. The force sent all the humans, their Digimon and even the DemiDevimon flying back, as well as cracking the ice around the area. Each person landed hard on the ground, their Digimon not too far away. He released his grip from the Eternal Flame, looking down at everyone with burning red eyes. "I have slain multiple humans, dominated castles, and eradicated many other Digimon. I will NOT allow you humans to best ME!" Devimon shouted in pure anger, his voice echoed through the mountains.

"Even… if you push us down… we won't quit." Natsu said as he began to push himself up. The others began to follow his example, though the attack Devimon used had somehow drained their energy.

"I made… an oath to the giants… I will free them… from their prison!" Zubamon declared, glaring at Devimon with his red eyes.

"You attacked my home… froze my family…" Flare lifted herself up by her elbows, her hair covering part of her face, yet she still had an angry expression on her face. "Even if I die, I will save my home!"

"Home, you say?" Devimon raised a curious brow at the red haired woman. So she was raised in a village of giants, eh? An interesting predicament. Still, the way she said it gave him a VERY devilish idea. "Let me tell you something, humans. The Eternal Flame, the all powerful item of this village. I can't sense it." Seeing the look of surprise on each of their faces, Devimon continued. "When I placed my hand on the Flame, I could feel a flicker of magic and being the curious Digimon I am, I began to free it. But the deeper I dug, the less… interesting the Flame's power had become."

"So you're saying the Flame lost its power?" Agunimon asked with wide eyes. That couldn't be. If the Flame didn't have enough magic, then the village would stay frozen forever!

"Perhaps, but now I have no interest in eating it." Devimon said before he began to grin so wide, his mouth threatened to split his face wide open. "But if I can't have it… NO ONE CAN!" He raised one arm in the air as it was covered with pure black magic. Everyone believed he was attacking them… when he directed his attention towards the Eternal Flame.

"STOP HIM!" Feeling a rush of adrenaline, the Heroes began to run as fast as they could towards Devimon, but it was all in vain.

"DEATH HAND!" Devimon slammed his palm on the ice, unleashing a stream of pure unholy beam. It struck the ice in full force, creating large bursts of wind that blew in the air. The attack began to crack the Eternal Flame, pieces of it chipping away. And just as the group was about to attack…

*BOOM*

… The frozen Eternal Flame erupted in a large explosion, shattering to pieces. "NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Flare screamed in despair, her eyes wide with tears. The Eternal Flame, the one artifact that kept the Sun Village alive… was gone. She fell on her knees, unable to stand on her own feet. She failed.

Zubamon was on a similar boat. He made a commitment to free the Giants, yet now their only chance of doing so has been destroyed. The gold armored Digimon turned his head in shame.

The rest of the humans and their Digimon had a mix of both shock and anger plastered on their faces.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I KNEW DESTROYING THE FLAME WOULD DESTROY YOUR SPIRITS!" Devimon cackled in pure joy. He could kill, he could steal, but seeing his opponents with a broken spirit was much more satisfying.

"That… bastard.." Natsu gritted his teeth, his anger flaring up. For someone to pull such a cheap move like this was unforgivable! He was going to make Devimon pay for what he did.

However, for some strange reason… Natsu could still hear the Flame's voice calling out to him. 'What the hell is going on?' Natsu thought as he looked at the rubble behind Devimon. The Altar, which had the face of an old man on it, had a small flame. It was VERY faint, but he could still sense a bit of power. And the strangest part was that it felt very… familiar. 'It's still there. I need to give it some more fire.'

"Understood." A sudden beam of magic struck Natsu's head, yet it left no mark whatsoever. He quickly turned around and saw Megan extend a hand towards him, her fingers on her head as she nodded, as if understanding his thoughts.

"Archive Magic: Net Mind!" A small green of magic appeared in front of Megan before she commanded it to fly towards the others. It zipped through each and every one of their heads, causing them to gasp in surprise.

"That's the plan, Flame Brain?" Gray asked Natsu in surprise.

"It's crazy… but it just might work." Haru argued with a nod.

"Then we will create a distraction while you and Wendy prepare." Erza said to Natsu with a serious expression.

"Can you still fight?" Lucy asked her Spirits and Digimon, who all gave her a reassuring smile. She looked down at a distraught Flare and put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't give up hope, Flare. We have a plan."

"B-Blondie…" Flare whispered in awe, her tears stained with tears. These people were still fighting, still working hard to free her home. They were… so nice.

Natsu let out a toothy grin as he looked at Greymon and Happy. "You two fired up?"

"AYE SIR/AYE SIR!" Both Exceed and Digimon shouted in determination. Natsu quickly jumped on Grymon's back, allowing him to roar in the air. The roar was all the others needed as they began to charge at the large evil Digimon.

"Oh? You humans STILL want to attack me, even if it won't change anything?" Devimon said in clear amusement before he began laughing. "Very well. Allow me to show you the full extent of a Dark Digimon POWER! DEATH HAND!" Devimon unleashed a beam of pure dark energy from his palm.

"Spiral Blow/Dragon Wheel/Pyro Blaster!" Gaogamon, Kyubimon and Growlmon unleashed their attacks simultaneously, just barely canceling out Devimon's attack.

"Lion Brilliance!" Focusing his magic into his fist, Loke unleashed a bright light throughout his body, spreading in a wide radius.

"MY EYES!" Being a Digimon of darkness, Devimon hated light and being struck by a large amount of it was admittedly painful.

"Kunai Wing/Gargo Pellets!" Peckmon and Gargomon unleashed a barrage of attacks on the side of Devimon's head, making him growl in annoyance.

"Requip: Purgatory Armor!" Due to his temporary blindness, Devimon couldn't react as he was struck in the face by Erza(who was now donning her Purgatory Armor), Zubamon, Taurus, Akame and Tsubaki, weapons in hand. Even if they didn't pierce his skin, it still hurt.

"Ice Make Cannon!" Gray created a large bazooka made of ice before firing a large ice ball.

"Black Bolt: Zwei!" Using both his hands(despite his left one almost being broken from his fight with Doriate), Vex unleashed two Black Bolts simultaneously, merging into a much larger attack.

"Getsuga Tensho!" Ichigo unleashed a large energy slash.

"Spiral Rifle: Cyclone Shot!" Requipping a black rifle in her hand, Sarah fired a single bullet, allowing it to create a sizeable tornado.

"Ten Commandments: Blue Crimson!" Haru's sword once again changed shape, reverting to the twin swords Blue Crimson. Swinging them down, Haru unleashed a wave of fire and ice at Devimon. All five attacks merged and struck the large Digimon on the head, forcing him to take a step back.

"You disgusting, worthless, ANNOYING PESTS!" Recovering from Loke's Lion Brilliance, Devimon looked down at everyone and began to increase his power, making the clouds darken even more. "I WILL NEVER FALL TO ANY OF YOU! DEADLY NAIL!" Covering the nails on his hands, Devimon swung in towards the humans and Digimon, sending them crashing into the ground. "Your attacks mean NOTHING TO ME! WHY DO YOU PERSIST ON ANNOYING ME?!"

"Maybe you should open your eyes more!" A familiar voice called out from the sky. Devimon turned his head and noticed Natsu and Happy in the air, a large amount of flames gathered on the former's hands. "Greymon, fire guy! You ready?!"

"READY!" Greymon called out from the left side of the Eternal Flame Altar and Agunimon on the right.

"Go on and attack me. THREE MORE ATTACKS WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE!" Devimon declared arrogantly, unaware of what was about to happen.

"Nova Blast!" Greymon unleashed quite possibly his largest Nova Blast, being a few feet larger than his normal attack at the crater.

"Pyro Punch: Full Power!" Using all his remaining energy into his arms, Agunimon roared as he unleashed a large fire blast towards the Altar.

"And here's one of my best attacks!" Natsu began to move his hands in a circular motion. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Crimson Lotus Exploding Flame Blade!" The pink haired wizard then fired a torrent of flames downward. Devimon smirked as he crossed his arms over his body.

However, instead of striking him… all three attacks struck the Altar. "What?!"

*BOOOOOOOOOMMM*

All three attacks collided within the Altar, creating a large explosion and a massive gust of wind. "Man, and I thought Natsu showed us how strong he was before!" Haru shouted as he and the others covered themselves from the massive amount of wind and smoke.

"Don't you think that was a little much?!" Lucy exclaimed while holding her head.

"I hate to be the guy who makes him made!" Gargomon joked while laughing. Unlike the others, he was pleased with Natsu's immense power.

*Whoosh*

The area suddenly began to feel much warmer than it was before, as if they were all close… to… a… campfire… wait.

"Look!" Vex called out while pointing at the Altar.

Sure enough, the small flame that was in the middle of the Altar began to grow, larger and larger thanks to Natsu and the Digimon's efforts. Even Devimon took a step back in surprise as the Flame grew taller than him. Flare cupped her hands over her face as new tears began to emerge.

But not out of sadness… out of joy.

"The Sacred Flame… Our Guardian Deity… HAS BEEN REIGNITED!" Flare exclaimed in relief as the Eternal Flame had finally awaken, its warmth blanketing over everyone and giving them a sense of comfort. It was so beautiful and relaxing, they had nearly forgotten their weakened state prior to their fight with Devimon.

"It's amazing…" Kyubimon confessed in awe.

"To think something like this was made just for the village." Gaogamon added, equally amazed.

Zubamon stood there, his eyes wide and his fingers twitching. He… no, THEY had done it. The Eternal Flame lived once again! And now the Giants can be free of this ice! The promise he made can now be fulfilled. Feeling a hand on his head, Zubamon turned and was greeted with the acknowledging smile of Erza Scarlet. It was as if she knew exactly what he was thinking. Even if she couldn't see him smile, he gave her a nod.

Natsu and Happy looked down with a smile before the former looked back at his little buddy. "Happy, take me close to the Eternal Flame."

"Say what?!" Happy exclaimed in surprise. He knew Natsu could survive fire, but HE can't.

But before Natsu could react, Devimon fired a wave of dark energy, forcing the two to jump back.

"I feel it… the power of the flame… I WANT IT!" Devimon shouted in pure lust, ready to devour the newly lite Eternal Flame whole.

'If it is who I think it is, then we don't have time!' Wendy thought urgently from afar, getting in a prayer position. She closed her eyes and cupped her hands together before a green aura surrounded her. The others watched in horror as Devimon extended a hand towards the flame, pouring with dark energy…

*CRUNCH*

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Devimon screamed in pain, and the reason for his pain surprised everyone, especially the Fairy Tail Wizards.

"N-No way…" Lucy muttered in shock.

"It can't be." Gray added with a cold sweat running down his head.

"The Eternal Flame is…" Erza muttered with a small gasp.

The D-Warriors and the Digimon looked at them for a brief moment in confusion before they gasped in realization. The Eternal Flame was slowly changing shape of a large winged beast with a face that was all too familiar to Natsu.

"So it was you all along, huh… Uncle?" Natsu asked rhetorically with a grin.

"UNCLE/UNCLE?!" Both the D-Warriors and Digimon shouted in pure shock at Natsu's words. THAT thing was his UNCLE?!

Biting down on Devimon's right arm was known other than the flame covered Dragon, Atlas Flame.

"WHAT KIND OF BEAST ARE YOU?!" Devimon roared in anger. Who did this creature think it was, biting down on him like a wild predator? HE WAS THE PREDATOR, NOT THE PREY! Devimon prepared to use The Touch of Evil to control this monster…. Only for it to tug his arm, ripping it completely off. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Holy shit, he ripped his arm off!" Sarah exclaimed in pure shock. Even though the Digimon were glad that this monster was hurt, they were still rather stunned by the act of brutality Atlas Flame caused.

"I know he's evil, but jeez." Gargomon said while taking an involuntary step back. Devimon fell on the ground with a loud thud as Atlas Flame threw his arm to the side like it was nothing. The flame covered dragon then turned his attention towards Natsu.

"So, we meet again, son of Igneel." Atlas Flame said in a booming voice, an almost nostalgic tone taking over.

"Can someone please tell me what's going on before I faint? This is getting way too crazy." Haru said while falling on his butt, the mere presence of the fiery beast making him weak in the knees.

"That's one of the Dragons that attacked Crocus when the Eclipse Gate was open: Atlas Flame." Lucy answered, shock still evident in her voice. "I still can't believe that it was the Eternal Flame this whole time."

"I've always wanted to see a Dragon and draw it, but this is a bit much for me." Vex said while gulping heavily. He could fight large Digimon and wizards alike, but to see an ACTUAL dragon is something he never thought would happen in a million years.

"I have to take a mental picture for Uncle Robert." Megan couldn't help but say, unable to hide the smile that was growing on her face. Who could really blame her?

"You…. YOU DAMN BEAST!" Devimon stood up, the stump where his right arm used to be was dripping with black liquid. Screw getting the power of the Eternal Flame, now he wanted to make this Dragon pay!

However, that proved to be a bad call on his part.

"Fire Dragon…. ROAR!" Using some of the added power given by Natsu, Greymon and Agunimon, Atlas Flame unleashed a massive torrent of flames down on Devimon, engulfing his entire body. The evil Digimon howled in agony as the flames burned his skin, causing it to melt away.

"WOAH!" Greymon stepped back, along with the others. The flames didn't stop with Devimon as it continued to travel to the village, slowly melting much of the ice, yet not hitting any of the giants. Atlas' attack continued to travel on for a few moments before it dispersed. The gang looked at where Devimon stood… only to find nothing but ash.

"Did he just…" Tsubaki started in shock.

"He killed him. He killed Devimon." Akame said, with a composed, yet surprise tone. While she was normally a monotone person, even she was surprised by the turn of events that happened here. The dark clouds that covered the sky soon disappeared, allowing the sun to shine bright.

"So this is the power of a Dragon. Incredible." Gaogamon admitted. If he and the others ever needed to fight a Dragon at the level they were at… it wouldn't end pretty.

"Man, you're still as strong as ever, Uncle." Natsu said with a happy grin, allowing Happy to drop him off. The Digimon, seeing how the last threat was neutralized, decided to revert back into their Rookie forms.

"Natsu!" Agumon called out as he ran up to Natsu. Seeing his Digimon, Natsu patted him on the head while Happy landed on Agumon's back. The rest of the Digimon returned to their Tamers, each one telling them how much of a good job they did.

"Thanks for the help you two." Lucy said to Taurus and Loke before they disappeared in a bright flash of light. Agunimon landed next to her, allowing her to smile brightly. "And you were a big help too, Agunimon."

"No problem. I was happy to help." Agunimon said with a smile. He was only able to get strong because of Lucy. He wasn't going to let her down.

"Say Lucy, who is this guy?" Gray asked as he and the others began to gather around the fire warrior Digimon.

"Wait a moment…" Carla spoke up as she walked up to Agunimon, look up at him with narrowed eyes. The way this Digimon spoke, the tone of his voice… it couldn't be, could it? Seeing Carla's questionable expression, Lucy smiled sheepishly as she took out her new Digivice, showing it to her friends.

"You caught us. You're looking at my very own Digimon." Lucy confessed with a wink. Gray, Wendy and Carla all gasped in surprise while Erza simply smiled.

"I had a feeling that was the case. Congratulations Lucy." Erza complimented proudly before she looked at Agunimon. "I trust you'll protect her?"

"With my life." Agunimon said with a serious nod. Suddenly, Agunimon began to glow in a blue light before he reverted back to Flamemon. With the sudden de-digivolution, Flamemon felt all the energy he had as Agunimon disappear, causing him to fall on the ground with an audible groan. "Ouch. So this is how it feels whenever you turn back into a Rookie. Lucy?"

"Yeah?" Lucy asked while kneeling down.

"If it's not too much trouble… can I take a bath when we get to your apartment?" Flamemon asked shy. Lucy and the others blinked a bit in surprise before they began laughing. The fire Digimon looked at them in confusion before he too began laughing. Zubamon noticed their interaction and felt a small smile appear on his face.

'Their bonds are strong. Perhaps I can have one like that… someday.' Zubamon thought, his attention focused on Erza. No, maybe not today. He was a wanderer after all. Staying put was something he was never comfortable doing. With one last glance, Zubamon began to quietly walk away. 'Until we meet again… Erza Scarlet.'

"We need to tell my uncle what we saw here today. I don't like what we had to face with those other Tamers and Devimon." Megan said to the D-Warriors, finally able to stand on her own two feet.

"Yeah. I still can't believe those guys ran away." Haru said with clear frustration. Tsubaki put a hand on his shoulder to reassure that it wasn't his fault.

"There's also the matter of Devimon using magic." Akame brought up with a serious tone.

"We can worry about that later." Vex said while rubbing his left wrist, looking up at Atlas Flame. "I think we have another issue to deal with."

"I'm curious about one thing." Carla spoke up, her attention towards Atlas Flame. "How are you still alive after 400 years?"

"Ahh, 400 years… it seems fire fire still burned for that long…" Atlas said with an almost melancholy tone.

"Yeah, but you're still alive today." Natsu pointed with a smile.

"It's really nice to meet you, sir!" Agumon said in a friendly tone, waving his claw.

"Alive? No, I'm not. At least not fully." Atlas confessed, getting confused expressions from everyone.

"But if you aren't alive, how are you talking to us?" Gaomon asked out loud.

"Maybe he's a ghost of the past, ready to haunt those who try to take his power~~~~" Terriermon said in a ghoulish tone, wiggling his fingers.

"Knock it off." Ichigo said with an unimpressed tone while lightly punching his Digimon on the head.

"He's… actually… right…" Wendy spoke up, keeping her focus mainly on her spell.

"Wait, wait, wait. You're saying that this Dragon, the one in front of us… is a ghost?!" Sarah asked with wide eyes. "How the hell are we even talking to it?!"

"Because of Wendy's Milky Way spell." Erza answered calmly. "She can use it to summon the spirits of deceased dragons so we may talk to them. So yes, Atlas Flame is technically dead." She ended her sentence with a somber tone. The D-Warriors then adopted sad expressions of their own. It sees that the rumors of the Dragons being an extinct race was true. Still, they WERE talking with a dead Dragon, so that's something.

"So it seems I am dead. For quite some time as well." Atlas Flame said with an accepting tone. "My memories are… tainted. They come in bits and pieces, but I can't remember everything that happened. Where are we? And who am I, really?"

"So even he doesn't possess his memories." Falcomon said sadly as the Pawnchessmon bowed their heads out of respect.

"Pull yourself together, uncle! You don't need to freak out." Natsu said, hoping to calm the spirit of the deceased dragon.

"Funny… I can still remember you, son of Igneel. It seems my old friend is still in my mind, even if it is damaged." Atlas Flame said with a hollow chuckle.

"But how could he still have memories when Zirconis had none of his?" Carla questioned.

"The ice." Renamon answered with her paws crossed. "You said you could hear a voice in the ice, correct?"

"She's right." Wendy agreed with her hands on her lap. "Residual thought energy comes from willpower, not magic power. Because ice magic kept it frozen for a long time, part of his memories were damaged."

"My head hurts now!" Guilmon said with swirls in his eyes before he fell over. All this talk was giving the poor lizard a headache.

"Ice… Ice… I REMEMBER!" Atlas Flame spoke up. "The world was encased in ice. It felt as if everything had stayed in place."

"Do you know who did this to my home? Please, tell me Guardian Deity." Flare begged Atlas Flame. He looked down at her for a moment before squinting his eyes, as if thinking of something really hard.

"I remember someone coming her. He thought I was something else…"

"He? He who?" Lucy asked in anticipation.

"A human. He came here to find something. When he couldn't… he froze everything. No one was spared." Atlas said grimmly, causing everyone to gasp.

"An ice wizard did all this?!" Gray asked urgently.

"No, that's logically impossible." Vex spoke up with a hand on his chin. "Each person has a limited amount of Ethernano in their body. To freeze an entire village and the forest nearby would require over one hundred men."

"But why freeze a village for no reason?" Tsubaki asked with a frown.

"Because he thought I was a demon of Zeref." Atlas said in a serious tone. As if another cold wave hit them, everyone froze at the news the fire dragon told them. A demon from the book of Zeref? Why would anyone mistaken a Dragon for a demon? "In order to extinguish me, he froze the village, not even caring about those nearby. A wizard with the power to slay demons… a Devil Slayer."

"A DEVIL SLAYER?!" Natsu shouted in disbelief.

"There are Dragon and God Slayers. But I never heard of a Devil Slayer before." Megan said with a deep frown.

"But that explains why I couldn't melt the ice before." Gray admitted with a frustrated look on his face. Who was this guy, and how powerful is he? Gray needed to find this person, soon.

"Guardian Deity, please hear my prayer." Flare said before she fell on her knees, pressing her head on the icy floor. "I beg you, please bring light back to the village one more time! Please save everyone!" The others couldn't help but give Flare a sympathetic expression. They might not know her that well, but they understood the feeling of wanting to save your family. "Please, O Great Deity, for them…"

"Hmmmm, Guardian Deity? Yes… I remember now…" Atlas Flame raised his head proudly. "I am Atlas Flame, Flame to the Giants and the Eternal Flame. Creator of Sun Village!"

"That's right. Remember!" Natsu said with a big smile, along with Happy and Agumon.

"To see my village like this hurts me. I cannot allow them to suffer anymore." Atlas Flame said in determination. "With the last of my spirit and the flames given to me by the Son of Igneel and his allies, I will free this village! I AM ATLAS FLAME!"

With a mighty roar, Atlas Flame unleashed a massive heatwave, catching everyone off guard. "HOLY CRAP, THAT IS HOT!" Haru shouted as he took out his jacket.

"Jeez, how about a warning next time?!" Terriermon complained while hiding behind his Tamer.

"Gray, cool me down!" Lucy shouted, forcing Gray to put a hand on her as he used his magic to cool her down.

"His spirit is fading…" Wendy said sadly, dropping her stance.

"Son of Igneel… I have a message for you…" Atlas Flame said as his fire continued to increase. Unlike the others, Natsu wasn't affected by the heat. "The most powerful, wicked demon in the Book of Zeref… E.N.D."

"W-What?" Natsu asked in shock.

"400 years ago, Igneel attempted to destroy this demon, but he couldn't. Perhaps you can." Atlas Flame said as his flames became so bright, it blinded everyone. Seeing the opportunity, Atlas Flame fired several beams of magic towards the group, hitting their Digivices as they glowed briefly. "I pass what little power I have left to you. Prepare yourselves, for the darkness… is coming sooner… than you think…"

Atlas Flame unleashed all his remaining power all throughout Sun Village and beyond, slowly melting the ice caused by the Ice Devil Slayer. The buildings, the trees, even the Giants themselves were being thawed out before the ice completely evaporated. The air was filled with steam before it disappeared quickly.

Zubamon stood on top of the tallest tower in Sun Village, smiling proudly at Atlas Flames' power before he jumped down.

"The village is free!" Lucy shouted with a big smile.

"I'm glad that's over." Flamemon said with a heavy sigh.

"But Atlas Flame…" Wendy spoke up with a frown. Everyone watched in sadness as Atlas Flame reverted back into the Eternal Flame, the last of his spirit fading away. Flare felt even more tears run down her face as she stood up.

"It's so warm…" She muttered to herself.

"In the end, his willpower was completely drained. All that's left is his fire." Erza said somberly. Everyone bowed their heads a bit, giving respect to Atlas Flame and the power he did to free Sun Village. This will be an experience they'll never forget.

"Natsu, are you okay?" Agumon asked his Tamer with concern. The Fire Dragon Slayer wiped his eyes a bit before he smiled at him.

"I'm okay, thanks." Natsu said before he frowned. "So Igneel was trying to destroy this E.N.D thing long ago, huh? I never heard about it before."

"Aye. Maybe Master knows more about it." Happy suggested.

"A fight with a devil, meeting and talking to the ghost of a Dragon, learning out a Devil Slayer AND another one of Zeref's demons in one day? That's it, I'm calling a week off. This is more than enough for me." Sarah joked as she sat down next to White Pawnchessmon, who followed her example.

"Still, this is great info to write about in my book." Vex said as he took out a notepad before his pocket and began to write down everything he witnessed.

"I'm hungry. Can we get some lunch now?" Haru asked as he sat on the ground. He looked down for a moment… only to see a massive shadow covering him and the others. Blinking, he slowly raised his head up… only to come face to face with an unfrozen giant. "Uuuuuhhhhhhh…"

To make matters even odder, more and more giants began to march towards the Eternal Flame, surrounding the group and looking at them as if they were at a zoo. The group noticed the giants and stared back in shock.

"Ummmm… hi?"

So this came to mind when I was writing this chapter: could Champion level Digimon actually kill Dragons? The answer I came up with is no. Yes, there are some powerful Champion level Digimon, but even they can't cause as much damage as a Dragon(with Acnologia destroying an entire island. At most, I can see Mega level Digimon fighting Dragons on equal footing, which we MAY SEE in the future, I don't know.

Anyways, I hope you all liked this chapter of Digi Fairy. I didn't know how long I wanted to write it, but then I reached the 42 page zone and I was like 'this is good enough for my editor to do his thing.' I wanted to make some changes to the end of this arc, like Devimon 'destroying' the Eternal Flame, Atlas Flame ripping his arm off and giving the Digidestined a little power boost. But DID I killed Devimon, or did he escape? That might be answered in the next chapter.

The next arc won't happen yet as I do have 2 chapters I wanna write: one involving the gang going back to Warren and meeting Tai and Agumon(I haven't forgotten about them, so chill.) As for why I didn't have Zubamon outright become partners with Erza, there's a good reason. He had just met Erza at this moment while Flamemon has known Lucy for two days and established a bond with her. It just wouldn't make sense to have them suddenly be partners, even though he respects her as a warrior. But we haven't see the last of him, or Callum and Yuuki.

The next chapter will take our focus away from Team Natsu and D-Warriors and focus on the Fairy Tail Guild, as well as what Robert and Matthew are up to.
