"Tsch. Boss my ass. He should just take my suggestion and kill her already. If he wants his so-called revenge, he can just cut her head off and send it to her parents! We already killed his dad! What else do we need to do?!"

Sakura can't believe her ears. She was shocked and confused.

'My… my dad? N-no… What's happening… w-what's…'

"You! Look what you did?! She wasn't supposed to know that!"

The other guy jumped on the red-haired guy and pushed him square to his cheeks. Bruising his cheeks off. "What's wrong with you?! It doesn't matter anyway! Hear that bitch?! You dad is de–"

Before he can even finish his words, the other guy dragged him out of her cell.

They left her there on the ground.

Bleeding.

'D-dad… no… they must've t-taken the wrong person… m-my dad… he can't be… he can't be dead… h-he can't… no… no.'

And going insane.

Chapter 18: "It Wasn't Me"

It was a fair day, although Sasori was exhausted from last night, he still managed to get up and go to school, this time without his roommate's, Deidara, annoying voice.

Sasori's currently on his way on their room, thinking what had happened yesterday but before he even got way deep into it, he suddenly saw himself getting tackled by the one and only Sasuke Uchiha.

"Wha-"

"Where is she?!"

"What do you mean?"

"Sakura."

Sasori gave him another confused stare.

"Just drop your act already! Answer me!" Readying his fist at Sasori.

Although Sasori didn't make a move to retort on Sasuke's visible threat, he didn't seem to be fazed about how Sasuke tightened his grip on him. "I don't know! Why are you even asking me that?"

"She was with you yesterday. She hasn't contacted me yet. Now, where is she? What did you do to her?"

Sasori, now annoyed by the younger Uchiha accusing him, tried to push Sasuke off of him which only made Sasuke tightened his grip on him more. "I didn't do anything, Uchiha. Let go of me."

"The hell am I going to let go of you. Just answer me and then maybe I'll be kind enough to let go of you."

Sasuke is really getting in Sasori's nerves and that's a bit of a stretch since Sasori isn't known for his patience, the fact that he isn't snapping on the Uchiha and punching first is because he's inside the school premises and he didn't want to appear this viscous around the people that had gathered around. "I told you. I don't know where is she."

"Akaningyo, I'm warning you," Sasuke said much more like a low growl, a final warning perhaps.

Sasori scoffs as this, "I thought you're her boyfriend then why are you asking me that.". Usually, Sasuke's words mean nothing to him but mere annoyance and teasing but today, Sasori's sensing that the young Uchiha's tone is very accusing and Sasori find it disgustingly rude and below the belt. He wouldn't do anything that would hurt Sakura, except, of course, last night.

"That's exactly my point, she hasn't been answering to my calls nor messages and you're the last person seen with her.."

The red-haired teen then raised his eyebrow on the Uchiha, "So? Maybe she just got tired of your jerk attitude and left without telling you!"

"What did you say?"

"I sai-"

"Fight!"

"Fight!"

"FIGHT!"

"FIGHT!"

"FIGHT!"

Sasori's voice was drowned in the voices of the students who cheered them on to fight. One look at the Uchiha and he already know that Sasuke's more than ready to do this, he can't do anything but to sigh and shook his head smirking, it's Sasori's time to lower his voice much to a growl as he threatened Sasuke back,

"You wanted this Uchiha."

"Good moooooooorning!"

A loud, just loud, a voice boomed inside the classroom after hearing the door open.

"G-good morning, Naruto-kun!" Hinata, of course, is the first one to return the greeting, she wanted to show Naruto that she was grateful this morning as well.

Though, Naruto's loud and cheery greeting didn't quite go well for a blonde-hair girl, "Not too loud, Naruto!"

"Heh, sorry. Ino. Just had this crazy dream!" Naruto sheepishly said, scratching the back of his head as he always does when he's embarrassed or did something stupid.

"No one wanted to hear your perverted dream Naruto! It's not one of those clone techniques again, isn't it?" Tenten who's one of the early birds along with Neji commented.

"No!" Naruto excitedly shouted back, really thinking hard of his dream. Hinata looked curious and wanted Naruto to go on and tell his story while Ino and Tenten just looked at him nonchalantly, obviously had this moment.

Naruto thought on how would he tell it this time only to realize... "Well... Actually... Yeah...?"

Two of the girls - who already knew that this will going to happen, sighed in disbelief.

"But it's different this time! It continued! I think I'm going to write a story about it." Naruto excitedly thought as he sat on the teacher's desk. "Remember last time when I told you I learned to summon a lot of me, like a clone technique of some sort? This time Sasuke-teme and Sakura-chan are with me! Oh, well maybe not because Sasuke left our place and then Sakura-chan was crying because teme left and I promised her to bring that teme's ass and then... then.."

Naruto trailed off, trying to remember his dream.

"Then?" Shino, this time who they didn't saw coming inside the classroom, suddenly spoke.

"Nuh-uh. Don't provoke him telling his fantasy, Shino." Ino said while wagging a finger to him. "Can't this day get any exciting?! Ugh, it's the same every day! I need some excitement you now."

Right after Ino finished her sentences the door was forcibly opened as Kiba snuck his head inside. "Naruto! Come quick! Sasuke and Sasori are fighting the lobby!"

"WHAT?!" Said blonde didn't waste time as he ran out the door, Neji came after as well as Shikamaru who's previously sleeping and was awakened by the door.

Ino sighed before standing up as well, looking at Tenten and Hinata, "I spoke too soon didn't I?"

Sasuke was thrown to the ground by Sasori's punch, he's underestimating Sasori if he's thinking that he wouldn't fight him and that he wouldn't stand a chance. It's been a while since Sasori got into fistfights and he's almost scared to admit that it felt good.

Sasuke, on the other hand, was irritated by this fact, no one messes with the Uchiha. Seeing that Sasori is savouring the moment, he grabbed the opportunity to swing his leg unto Sasori's taking him down and tackling him, this time Sasuke punched hard that it popped Sasori's lower lip.

"You think you're so great, Sasuke?" Sasori spat out even if he was getting beaten up. "You're nothing! If it wasn't for your surname you wouldn't stand a chance in this world!"

This only fuelled Sasuke's anger as he punched him again and again.

Seeing that he didn't stop, the students who were watching them now are getting worried, this wasn't supposed to happen. They didn't think that they would take this far, too far they thought. And with Sasuke's violent punches and fury, no one wanted to get involved/

"Quick! Go and tell a teacher!" Said a girl to a boy beside him who went running for help.

The help wasn't going to wait later as Naruto, Kiba, Neji, Shikamaru who's now joined by Chouji and Sai bolted into the scene and immediately pry the two away from each other, or rather, Sasuke away from Sasori.

"STOP IT TEME! You're going to get yourself into trouble!" Naruto said as he grabbed Sasuke's arm, who's now trying to get out of their hold.

Neji sighed tightening his grip to Sasuke's other arm. "That's too late for now." Eyeing Sasori's busted lips and now forming a black eye on the left side of his face.

Ino, Hinata and Tenten arrived this time, worry etched on their faces. Ino this time burst out as she saw what had happened into Sasori's face. "What the fuck Sasuke? What's gotten into you? It this about your crazy jealous rage about Sakura again? Are you out of your mind? You're acting so crazy. You aren't even you! What happened to you?!"

"SAKURA'S MISSING!"

Sasuke yelled back to Ino, having enough of her nagging. Naruto as well as the others, including Sasori, was taken aback from the news. Naruto and Ino were very concerned, this is their best friend and they couldn't help but think what had happened to her that turned Sasuke this violent and not so much of himself. Sasori, on the other hand, was taken aback not from the actual news but from the emotion that sparked in Sasuke's eyes and voice when he said that. It wasn't anger, fury or madness. It was more like frustration, sadness and … pain.

The other students who were gathered around them were also silent, they weren't expecting that it was that serious, well, until of course Sasuke beat the hell out of Sasori.

What seems to be a minute of silence felt like an hour before a teacher, Kureni came running into the now quiet scene.

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING HERE?!"

She barged into the middle of the scene and from one look, she knows what's this is about. "You!" Pointing at the students that had gathered around the fight, "DON'T YOU HAVE CLASSES?! GET BACK TO YOUR ROOMS!"

The students quickly ran away from the scene as they were frightened by Kurenai. And when they're out earshot. She turned to them and looked at the scale of damaged that they did to each other, it seems like Sasuke did more since Sasori's face was bleeding and bruised.

"ALL OF YOU! GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE NOW!" She yelled as Shizune ran to her, "Kurenai! We need to check them first!"

Kurenai stopped in her tracks and whipped her head to their direction, "Check them alright but make sure they went to the office!"

"Of course, Kurenai, I'll make sure to call their guardians and please let Hiruzen-san know about this. Shizune responded with a sigh as Kurenai stomped her way to the office. Turning to the remaining students, she composed herself and looked at Sasuke and Sasori, mostly on Sasori in which she wondered how on earth is he still conscious and just how hard do Uchihas punch.

There was a short knock on the door before Shizune went in, "Hiruzen-san, the Uchihas are here as well as Mr Hoshigaki, Sasori's standing guardian?"

"Well then, let them in." Hiruzen calmly said.

Shizune closed the door slightly as she turned outside to talk to the people that she had mentioned before she opened the door wide again for them to enter.

Mikoto was the first one to enter and as soon as she saw Sasuke, she gasps and went straight to him, asking quietly what had happened, Itachi and Kisame were the next ones to enter who couldn't help but to sigh and shake their heads.

Hiruzen gestured for them to sit as she turned to Shizune, "Can you please call Naruto and Ino?"

"Yes of course. I'll be taking my leave." Shizune bowed to them as she closes the door on her leave.

Once Shizune had left, Hiruzen turned to the guests and started to explain or rather exhibit, "I think it's made obvious by their faces what had happened. I didn't think that the commotion that they boys were talking about is you" pointedly look to Sasuke, "Beating up Sasori. Care to explain that?"

Mikoto's eyes widened, "You did this to him?!" She said as calmly as she can. Sasuke knows that she would be scolded or even grounded when they went home and he wouldn't that to happen since Sakura is still missing, so he looked down and ignored his mother's banter.

"Hn."

"Oh, your father would be so mad!"

Itachi and Kisame were actually amused at this point. Itachi knows that his mother is just controlling her anger right now and he also knows that he wouldn't want to be in Sasuke's place, their mother's rage is quite… scary to be kindly put of. Kisame being Itachi's long time friend knows exactly how's this is going to end.

Mikoto turned to Sasori this time, who sits on the front of them beside Kisame. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I truly am. I didn't know what had gotten tp this boy. We'll be paying the damages that he had done. I can bring him up to the police station If you would want to."

With this Sasuke, Itachi, Kisame and even Hiruzen looked at her in bewilderment. While Sasori smiled gently on to her, "It's okay Uchiha-sama, I'm fine now besides I also have hurt Sasuke. I'm sorry as well."

'Oh, that's so kind of you. " Mikoto pauses and sighed before looking back to her youngest son, "What's wrong Sasuke, why did you this? Oh. Is this about Sakura, isn't it?"

Sasuke eyes perked up a little bit deeming that his mother was right. Mikoto looked beside her to look at Itachi who both shared a concerned face. Hiruzen noticed this and asks, "The who have been fighting against each other because of her, although, I didn't think that it would end like this. Was there something going on? I hadn't seen or heard from her as well as of today."

Itachi sighed and turned a bit to face Hiruzen, "Sakura is missing." Hiruzen's eyes widened a bit on the news. What do they mean missing though and why does he have a bad feeling about this.

"And he's blaming me for it." Sasori suddenly spoke in a serious tone. All of their eyes were turned to him, one, in particular, had glared.

Itachi's eyes furrowed. "What do you mean? Why are you blaming Sasori, Sasuke?" although Itachi had doubted Sasori, especially since he spent attended the meeting and Deidara seems hesitant to share his location

There was a knock on the door that had interrupted the scene as Shizune came nad announced that Naruto, Ino and Hinata who was brought by Naruto was there. Hiruzen permitted them to go as they stood behind the Uchihas.

"Oh, I called them here since they were the first one to respond, I thought that they can be helpful to shed light on what had happened." Hiruzen explained to the older ones in the room and when he saw then nodded in response, he looked to Sasuke and gestured for him to continue, "Go on then, tell us."

Sasuke sighed and closed his eye for a while before opening it and speaking up, "Yesterday, after class, Sakura had told me that she will go and talk to Sasori, I permitted her to go, maybe even if it wasn't really needed. I see no harm to it and now, she's gone."

"And you're blaming me for that?" Sasori calmly asked. "Hn. Who else would I find suspicious?"

Sasori sighed, "You know, Sasuke, If I knew that Sakura would be missing, I would've offered to take her home."

"I didn't do it. I didn't do anything to her. We talked for about an hour and that's it." Sasori explained to Sasuke, recounting what had occurred last night.

"And how am I supposed to believe that? Am I going to believe you just because you said that what you're saying is true?" Sasuke raised an eyebrow on him. This time, Sasori didn't bother to speak up. He looked up to whoever's behind Sasuke and raised an eyebrow on them.

"Ahem."

All of them looked at Naruto who's right behind Sasuke, Hinata beside him is visibly nervous as she fumbles with her fingers.

"W-well you see. Sasori is saying the truth Sasuke" When Sasuke lifted an eyebrow on him, Naruto continued, "Hinata and I went to the same café as Sakura and Sasori did, we were there! We even said Hi to Sakura and we went to go to our own thing, and so I went to the counter and Hinata find a seat and then I ordered this new –"

"Naruto! Just get to the point!" Ino nudged him hard on the side and he groaned in pain, "Ouch! Okay okay! Well, after a while or so, Sakura tapped my back and she told us that she's going and enjoy our time!"

"And Sasori?" Hiruzen asked this time, clearly wanting to get the story straight as well.

"A-ano…" Hinata spoke this time, "Sasori-san is still there, I think they were interrupted with his friend, he has a blond hair and has it tied like Ino's"

Kisame and Itachi nodded in agreement. "That's Deidara" Kisame restated as the other people nodded in the information.

"And as far as I know, they stayed for a long time there! We even went home first and told Sasori that we're going." Naruto ended as he looked at Sasuke concerned, "It's not Sasori's fault Sasuke."

"I also saw Sasori when I was about to close the shop, he's with the blonde-copy-cat-guy too but they parted and Sasori went to go to the barbeque house that we always used to go."

"Yes. I was meeting with my parents and grandparents. They're going back to Suna this day and they wanted to have a little bonding before going back." Sasori reassured as he turned to Kisame and Itachi, "That's the reason why I didn't come to the meeting last night, I told Deidara not to disclose my location since you already know that I'm private about my personal life and that includes my family."

"So Sasuke?" Mikoto looked at her youngest son, clearly waiting for an apology. Everyone is, it is indeed interestingly exciting when an Uchiha is wrong and is about to make an apology.

Sasori sighed at this as he claimed, "It's okay if you ca –"

"No. I apologize." Sasuke stated quietly, looking directly at him, "I'm just worried and didn't think straight. I apologize, once again."

Naruto stared at Sasuke in awe, he didn't just apologize. He apologized, TWICE!

And he bet he'll never hear him say sorry again in this lifetime, he bet everyone thinks that way as well.

"Now that's done. Can we discuss on how are we going to find Sakura?" Kakashi asked everyone but looking expectantly at Itachi.

"Yeah! We wanna help too!" Naruto beamed up, Sakura was his best friend too and he wanted to make sure that she is fine and not into some creepy bastard who takes a liking to her, he shuddered in that thought.

"As much as we like to involve anyone of you, that includes you Sasuke, I think this is going to be dangerous."

"What do you mean dangerous? Is Sakura in great danger? Cause I swear I won't sit here and wait for reinforcement I'll go directly into their lair and kick their asses!" Ino fumes this time, out of all of them, Ino is probably the closest friend that Sakura has in the room considering that she is a childhood best friend of Sakura.

"I guess it won't hurt to tell this but… Her parents got into trouble." Mikoto explained, "And apparently, that person took a liking on hunting Sakura as well when he found out that Mebuki and Kizashi has a daughter."

"W-what happened to Auntie Mebuki and Uncle Kizashi?" Ino worryingly asked as she sensed that there's something Mikoto and the Uchiha, knew that Mikoto leaving it out.

The others had noticed it too and are waiting for Mikoto to drop the bomb, "Kizashi…" she paused and sighed as he looked to her eldest son, she couldn't bring herself to tell them the bad news, Itachi understood this and take it away from her, "Kizashi-san's gone…"

It gained reactions from the room, especially to Ino and Naruto who knew them personally, "No… It can't be! Aunt Mebuki! How is she?" Naruto asked this time as he tries to calm Ino down, who looks like she's about to go on having panic attacks.

"Aunt Mebuki is fine, she's gone through a lot but she's under the protection of the Konoha police force, she's well guarded.." Itachi explained and reassured them.

Ink who's now crying to the sudden news of Kizashi's death spoke, "C-can we visit her? I wanna see A-auntie Mebuki!"

Mikoto raised to her chair and pat Ino's back, "Well of course dear, you can... All of you can."

Shrugging off the shock that had taken into Hiruzen, he sighed and looked at Itachi, composing herself in the process, "Do you know who did this? The person that they got involved with?" Hiruzen asked wanted to get involved

"Yes. Father and I, got Shisui and Uncle Obito to look for this person named Gato and apparently he's has a drug cartel business and black-market including slavery and human trafficking that's going on in the Land of the Waves, Suna, Ame, Oto and even here. Recently, there was an informant who told them all of Gato's connection as well as their hideouts, hoping to end his business and for protection and freedom."

"Kizashi-san and Aunt Mebuki had a connection with the informant and got involved as they persuade the informant to sing but since Gato has men everywhere, he knew that information and they had to suffer from his hands," Itachi informed them leaving out the private information

"There was a raid in their main hideout, the Konoha police got involved as well, almost everyone did since Gato has a lot of contacts, they arrested a lot of them, confiscated a lot of drugs, and firearms, saved a lot of children and woman, however... Gato wasn't found. He escaped along some of his henchmen and now, I think he's here at Konoha. Seeking revenge." Itachi sighed and left the information that the Konoha police force is currently finding Gato's hideout in Konoha and that they are planning a raid hoping ti find Sakura and save her as well as shut down Gato's business in Konoha.

"We got a lead. But that's far as I can inform you, especially you, "Itachi's gaze landed strictly on Sasuke as he continues to Sasori, Naruto and Ino, "as well as all of you. You shouldn't be involved in this, you're teens, If your health has been jeopardized, rescuing Sakura would mean nothing. So please, don't do something stupid. Especially you Sasuke."

"Hn." Sasuke approved without looking at his brother. Itachi had a point tho, if this Gato person is really dangerous, he can't go with them as if he's a policeman, he can't risk Sakura's well-being because of his stubbornness, all he a do now, is hope that wherever Sakura is, she won't break.

"Well then. If everything's settled. Naruto, Ino and Hinata, you can go back to your class." Hiruzen said almost eagerly, he wanted to help and know what happened to Mebuki and Sakura but he understands that they also need to ensure the safety of those close to her.

"B-but Gramps! We need to see Aunt Mebuki!" Naruto started to argue but Mikoto quickly responded as he senses Naruto's eagerness and stubbornness kicks in, "It's okay Naruto-kun, I'll make sure that you'll get to see her, she's still recovering as we speak but as soon as she wakes up, I'll be in touch and we'll all go to her."

"O-okay then, Aunt Mikoto... but I'm holding that as a promise!" Naruto said as he leads Ino and Hinata out the door, going back to their classes.

Once the door closed, Hiruzen turned to the remaining two teens before him, "As for the two of you, I'll be giving you time before going back." Hiruzen decided.

Sasori stared at Hiruzen and to Sasuke who has the same reaction as him, before going back to Hiruzen gaze."You're suspending us?"

Hiruzen scoff at their reaction, "Of course. Do you think I'll let this pass?"

Sasuke gritted his teeth as he looked away from him while Sasori sighed, "Baa-chan and Jiji-san would be so mad..."

Kisame took this opportunity to ruffle Sasori's hair cheekily, "You can stay at the Akatsuki house, you know! I'm sure Yahiko will welcome you!" Just pretend that you're going to school!"

Itachi face palmed while Hiruzen's eyebrow twitched, "Take this time to ponder about your actions. And Sasuke...?"

Said Uchiha looked nonchalantly to the grey-haired man behind the desk, "Make sure Sakura will be alright."

Sasuke nodded firmly, looking determined, "I will."

"You two can go. I would like to speak to your guardians for now." Hiruzen ordered as he looked at Sasori and Sasuke who nodded their heads and bowed to Hiruzen before going out.

Once the door closed behind Sasori. Hiruzen looked beyond serious and worried as he looked at Mikoto, Itachi and Kisame.

"So, tell me. What happened?"
