"Spent"
Chapter Sixty

*** I own nothing. I'm just having fun. ***
"You cannot do that Wanda!" His voice, usually so smooth, grated in her ears. She slammed her bedroom door open and stomped through.
"I will protect you how I see fit," she snapped. The image of that weapon pointed at him... She shook her head to dismiss it but the image remained burned into her mind's eye, haunting.
"You put innocent lives at risk!"
She swung around to face him, hands on her hips. "I don't care. Better them than you. I won't allow you to come to harm."
"I'm not worth that, Wanda. My life is not worth more than any human's."
"It is to me!" she shouted, anger bursting forth. "I won't lose you! Not if I can help it."
Vision's gaze softened and he moved closer, tentatively reaching up to cup her face in his hands.
"You wouldn't have lost me, Wanda."
"You can't know that," she whispered, tears now beginning to spill over, "and I can't, I can't, lose you. You have no idea what it's like..." A sob tore through her, and Vision leaned down to press his head gently to hers, mindful of the stone in his forehead.
"I'm sorry, Wanda, more than you'll ever know. But I cannot allow you to put others in harm's way just for me," he said softly.
"You can't stop me," she said, resolute. She could see the disagreement in his eyes, and before he could say anything she pulled his head down to hers to brush a kiss over his lips. "I need you," she murmured against his mouth once, and then again, close enough to taste him on every breath.
She felt the moment he gave and surged against her, capturing her lips. She welcomed him in, welcomed his plundering tongue and the way he grasped her tightly to him, desperation in his movements. She was soft where he was hard, taking his pain and showering him with her love.
A flick of her fingers slammed her door shut. She didn't bother looking. Her eyes stayed closed as she kissed Vision breathlessly, as needy for him as he seemed to be for her. He was here, he was safe, and she would never let anyone hurt him.
Vision picked her up easily, his fingers digging into the plush of her ass as he guided them both through the room. He followed her down onto the bed and she never let go of her hold on him, unwilling to allow space between them. He felt so solid on top of her, steady and strong. And then she felt him push her panties to the side and she broke their kiss with a gasp as he entered her in one swift motion.
Her head fell back as Vision began to move, slowly sliding his length out of her before reentering in one powerful, punishing thrust. She grasped at his back and brought her legs up around his hips, allowing him deeper. He repeated his thrusts over and over, not building a rhythm but just making her take it as deep and hard as he could go. He was watching her face, his expression dark but needy, and she met his need with her own, welcoming him in. He was a hard, driving force atop her, inside of her, and she had never felt so wanton. She rocked her hips against him, pulling him as close as she could, crushing herself against him, and she'd never been as wet as she was in that moment. They could both hear it every time he moved inside her. She was molten, on fire for him, and she reveled in it. He was here, he was safe, he was inside of her where he belonged, and nothing was going to ever take him away from her if she had anything to say about it.
Vision seemed almost surprised when his orgasm overtook him. His eyes opened wide, almost awed, and he let out a low, sensuous moan that sent tingles straight through her and triggered her own climax. She writhed, grinding her clit against him and prolonging the pleasure as long as she could.
She trembled as the aftershocks went through her, as she clenched along his still-hard cock and made them both gasp. He flexed his hips, pushing ever deeper into her, and she whimpered with her need. Sex had never been like this before, not with anyone else, but they were perfectly made for each other, slotting together like halves of a whole, and her need was never ending.
Neither of them lasted long this time either, but this time he buried his face in her neck when he came, his lips against her throat.
When he raised his head the darkness was gone from his eyes, though sorrow remained. Wanda kissed him gently, fingers tracing his jaw.
"I need you, Vision. Don't ask me to let go."
"Wanda..."
"Maybe it's weak, but I'm only human, and I've experienced enough loss. I will always choose to save you, over anyone else. Can you accept that?"
She could see the war waging behind his eyes, but in the end, he pressed a kiss to her forehead.
"Of course I accept you," he whispered. "I love you."
