Life has gotten really busy! I'll try to update Conqueror once or twice every month but nothing can be guaranteed to be honest. I've kind of updated the story so you can go and binge read it to find the changes.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon.

The End!

Cynthia winced as she walked down the hallways. One hand on the wall for support, Cynthia managed to limp down. She spotted Damien leaning against the wall, smirking smugly.
"Why you…" Cynthia growled. Damien gave her an amused look.
"You've already lost Cynthia. Just admit it." He responded. Cynthia didn't relent on her glare. "C'mon, the judge is waiting." He walked away leaving a seething Cynthia behind.
The blonde took a deep breathe, knowing that Damien just wanted to get a rise out of her. Somewhat calmer, Cynthia limped forwards towards the "Jury".
"Cynthia Carolina," Officer Jenny called out, spotting the deranged rookie. "Nurse Joy, please bring Gible and Eevee." Cynthia took her spot in the room, sitting on a chair facing an Alakazam.
Alakazam, a Pokémon with an IQ far surpassing humans, was made the judge for some obvious reasons. For one, he was a Psychic Type which meant he could pick apart any lie or deceit. Second, Alakazam were not to be bribed. Alakazam raised to handle such positions had a far higher dignity than humans to be simply bribed.
Cynthia glanced at Damien, feeling uncontrolled anger rise inside her at the smug look on his face. She wanted nothing more than to smash his face into a pulpy red mess and knock that arrogance off him.
However, she couldn't afford to lose her temperature at such a critical moment. Besides, Damien could easily overpower her given her weakened condition.
"Cynthia Carolina and Damien Dark," The Alakazam spoke, his Psychic voice easily being heard. Just his mere syllables held weight far more than Cynthia could manage in an entire speech. "Damien Dark has accused Cynthia Carolina of Poaching, Aggravated Assault, and Pokémon Abuse." He turned to Cynthia. "Cynthia Carolina has pleaded not guilty." He turned to Gible and Eevee. "We have taken the subjected Pokémon's statement."
Eevee snarled at Damien, wanting to rip his throat out. That bastard had the audacity to blame a human like Cynthia for Pokémon Poaching! The Irony!
Eevee wasn't a fan of humans and somewhat despised them, but that golden haired girl had shown her that not all humans are evil. But here she was, being questioned for a crime she clearly did not commit.
"The case will be decided by their statement. Officer," He turned to Officer Jenny. Eevee didn't know much about the judiciary system of humans, but she did manage to understand what that mighty Alakazam was saying.
She couldn't help but smile. Cynthia had this in the bag! Officer Jenny had recorded their statement and she had supported Cynthia a lot too. Seeing what Cynthia had done for Gible, he'll have supported her too!
"The Pokémon have contradicting statements." Alakazam spoke up, tallying the vastly differing statements. "Gible sides alongside Damien Dark, saying that Cynthia indeed tried to poach him, whereas Eevee claims Damien are the one at fault."
Eevee turned to Gible, eyes wide. Gible avoided her eyesight, guilt shining on his face. She growled, asking Gible why he spoke against Cynthia! Gible gave her a defeated cry, sitting down and telling Eevee what Damien had offered her.
Eevee snarled, saying that Gible would rather damn Cynthia to a hell of a life instead of trying to help her. Gible bit back, telling Eevee that she wouldn't understand the trouble and hell he was in with Damien! The Evolution Pokémon simply rolled her eyes.
She looked away from him, mumbling that Gible didn't know an E about her. She looked at Cynthia who sighed. The Normal Type gritted her teeth, wanting nothing more than to attack Damien.
"What does Damien have to present?" Alakazam questioned the bluenette. Damien got up, heavily prepared.
"Honorable Judge, Cynthia Carolina indeed tried to poach Gible as he stated. The Eevee, however, lies. Cynthia Carolina has bribed her to speak against me Your Honor. Why else would she speak with such hatred for me?"
Alakazam nodded, and Damien sat back down, giving Cynthia a smug look. Cynthia breathed out, getting up as it became her turn.
"Your honor," She winced as her injuries flared up. "Let me tell you how Damien and I first met." The blonde quickly gave Alakazam a summary of her and Damien's first meeting and then quickly explained everything from her perspective till this moment. She collapsed more than sat back down, feeling her head throb with pain.
"Your honor!" Damien got back up. "Ms. Cynthia is trying to manipulate facts. Gible himself gave a clear statement, what else do you need Your Honor?"
"Eevee also gave a clear statement." Cynthia bit back.
"You bribed her!" Damien countered.
"And you didn't bribe Gible? We're supposed to believe that?" Cynthia questioned back. "For all I know, you can be threatening him." Damien chuckled. "Nurse Joy, did you get the Medical Record I asked you for?"
Nurse Joy nodded and presented Alakazam some papers. "Those are Gible's Medical Record. Did he always battle against brutal or ignorant trainers, or rather; the fault is in his own trainer?" Cynthia stared at Damien.
Alakazam examined the records, nodding to himself, and handed them to Nurse Joy. "I have some records for you too Cynthia Carolina." Damien sneered. "Officer Jenny! If you may," Officer Jenny walked over to Alakazam, handing over some papers.
"This isn't the first time Ms. Cynthia has been accused of Pokémon Abuse or Poaching," Damien smirked. Cynthia's eyes widened. "What? Justice shall be served!"
Alakazam noticed the various warrants against Cynthia and kept it to himself. "W-what?" Cynthia stuttered, looking at Officer Jenny who gave her a cold look.
"Officer Jenny, Bring the statement of their teams if you may." Damien tensed while Cynthia somewhat relaxed. Damien's team would never be this blind to miss a chance for payback! She was sure-
"Your honor," Officer Jenny spoke back up. "Cynthia's team has denied from giving any sort of statement." She turned to Damien. "His team, however, has come forth." She handed over the bundle of papers containing his team's lines.
Cynthia was in shock. Her team refused to give their statement?! That simply wasn't possible! "Your honor, I-" Alakazam gestured her to stay silent. She looked at Officer Jenny who looked away.
"Truth shall prevail." Damien commented. Alakazam finished analyzing the statements and looked at both of the trainers.
"Damien Dark and Cynthia Carolina both have presented heavy points, but Damien Dark's team and their statement refute any claim Cynthia or Eevee make. Ms. Carolina, do you have anything to present?"
"Your honor," Nurse Joy spoke up yet again. She walked over to Alakazam. "I have a video to show you." Damien's and Officer Jenny's eyes widened. She looked at Cynthia who stared back in surprise.
The blonde's lips curled into a smile.

Viper lunged at Spiritomb, tail elongated. She didn't reach near them though, her tail being repelled from thin air. Spiritomb blasted her away with a Dark Pulse, simultaneously blocking the Shadow Balls from Mystic.
Haunter sneaked in from the shadows, trying a Night Shade. Spiritomb easily blocked him too, and Haunter found himself surrounded by deadly shadows.
He quickly dashed away, not wanting to be near anywhere them. Bulbasaur fired out Razor Leaves and Energy Balls, all of which Spiritomb easily blocked. They served their purpose, however, as Skylar managed to get close in with her Aerial Ace boosted Steel Wing.
Spiritomb was hit and knocked back a bit, Skylar quickly turning around for another. A hurricane of Ominous Winds hit her, and she was blown away.
Mystic rushed in with Iron Tail, hitting his invisible shield but being repelled back. She unleashed a barrage of Shadow Balls, majority imploding before reaching Spiritomb but a few managing to slip in.
Spiritomb was hit but hardly fazed. Mystic was blasted back by a brutal Night Shade, hitting the ground and rolling back away to a stop. Lairon sent forward three Stone Edges, the sharp rocks unable to penetrate his barrier.
They did provide cover to Viper; enough for her to slip in and unleash a close ranged Leaf Storm. The leaves failed to penetrate again, but Viper slipped in, using them as camouflage in turn, and slashed Spiritomb with Leaf Blade.
Skylar slammed into his back with Sky Attack, quickly flapping away with Viper fetching a ride. Spiritomb growled, forming two big birds out of pure darkness and sending them towards the two.
Viper jumped off Skylar's back, back flipping repeatedly and using Vine Whip. Her vines hit the dark birds repeatedly, wrapping around them and throwing them towards Spiritomb.
The Forbidden Pokémon formed a larger rhino, sending it to combat Lairon. "You Cannot Defeat Me." He growled. "You Will Never Be Able To!"
Haunter reformed in front of him, using Confuse Ray. Spiritomb winced, jerking back while Haunter slipped back into the shadows. Mystic shouted out, commanding everyone to unleash all they had.
Shadow Balls, Night Shades, Leaf Storms, Energy Balls, Aerial Ace, Poison Powder, Leech Seed, Iron Head, Stone Edge, and many other moves were utilized as Spiritomb fought against the Confuse Ray.
Though normally such techniques wouldn't faze Spiritomb let alone harm them, The Forbidden Pokémon was heavily weakened from earlier and thus, the 107 souls were an ordinary Pokémon for now. A ridiculously strong Ordinary Pokémon, but an Ordinary Pokémon regardless.
After a few minutes of bearing heavy assault and being Leech Seeded, Poisoned, drained, and damaged, Spiritomb came back to their senses and unleashed a large widespread wave of dark energy.
Ash's team all was blasted back, taking decent damage from the blast. Spiritomb sent forwards dark chains, ensnarling Skylar and slamming her down hard. Viper set forward sharp leaves that hit the chains and damaged them enough for Mystic to break them with Iron Tail.
Skylar took flight immediately, charging up another Sky Attack. Mystic noticed the crack on his keystone had widened and smirked. Slowly but steadily, they were winning.
Mystic announced that to the team and they fought with renewed vigor. One more thing Mystic noticed was that Spiritomb wasn't that refined in his fighting as she had expected. They were insanely powerful and possibly unstoppable once in their prime but right now, the Forbidden Pokémon didn't stand a chance against their team work.
The Poison was coursing through their strange structure, weakening them from the inside while the Leech Seed on the back of their keystone sucked energy out of him every time they moved. If Ash's team could keep this up for a little more time, she was sure they'll win.
Spiritomb must've noticed that too, as they cut the Leech Seed off themselves and decided to actually fight back. Mystic winced, collapsing down as Spiritomb attacked her mentally. All the while he parried Viper's vicious slashes with a ghostly blade, engaged Skylar with another dark bird, stronger and faster, lulled Lairon into a Confuse Ray, and straight out blasting Bulbasaur away.
"You will serve us." Spiritomb commanded. "With you and your trainer's souls combined, I would have enough strength to take this little sleepy town. Then the entire world. No one will be capable of stopping me then."
Mystic pushed back making them frown. Her gem flickered with effort, making Spiritomb give her the top priority. This gave her teammates the opening they needed and they pressed on.
Skylar saw the bird slacken and cut it apart with Steel Wing, letting it disperse into nothing and she raced towards Spiritomb. Viper ducked under a slash, getting near Spiritomb and slashing at them.
Spiritomb cut off his struggle with Mystic and grabbed Viper with his dark powers, throwing her towards Skylar. The bird and snake tumbled and Spiritomb boxed them into a box of darkness.
Mystic utilized the opening to the fullest, diving into Spiritomb's mentality in an effort to keep him busy. What she didn't notice was, however, the sheer evilness and malicious energy stored inside.
Mystic immediately pulled back, not wanting to be near such energy. Spiritomb acted on the opening, however, and Mystic cried out in pain as the 107 souls lunged at her.
Lairon fired off rapid Stone Edges towards Spiritomb, racing in their cover with Iron Head. Spiritomb immediately froze him with Psychic, easily blocking his Stone Edges. Lairon smirked and unleashed a close range Metal Sound.
Spiritomb's 107 souls reeled back, his assault on Mystic lessening and giving her a chance to fight back. Bulbasaur unleashed rapid Energy Balls, hitting the cubical Skylar and Viper were trapped in and trying his best to shatter it.
Haunter picked Mystic and quickly rushed away, a Stone Edge from Lairon providing cover for the feline to recover. Mystic collapsed behind the rock, reeling from the mental fight. She yipped at Haunter to help Bulbasaur free Viper and Skylar while Lairon had Spiritomb engaged.
The Forbidden Pokémon applied crippling pressure on Lairon making him groan as his metal armor began to dent. Spiritomb grinned maliciously, cutting off his Metal Sound.
Haunter quickly rushed between the two, firing off point black Shadow Balls. Spiritomb winced at the hits but they managed to grab Haunter with Psychic too. Haunter quickly utilized Confuse Ray, hitting Spiritomb and making they're Psychic weaken.
Lairon and Haunter were freed, the former quickly making cover around the floor with large Stone Edge and burying Spiritomb under a Rock Slide. Haunter assisted him in running behind a few of the rocks to recover.
Bulbasaur managed to break the cube, cracking it enough to whip it open with Vine Whip. Viper and Skylar came out, ruffled and hurt but in fighting condition.
The Rock Slide burst outsides, revealing a mostly unharmed Spiritomb. "Is that all you have?" Spiritomb chuckled. "You cannot touch us. Soon you'll succumb. Lavender will follow your demise."
Mystic managed to recover by then, quickly firing off Quick Shadow Balls. Spiritomb froze them in thin air with Psychic, letting them implode on themselves.
"Your puny attacks cannot harm me anymore." He declared. "Every passing moment, we get stronger." Lairon sent three Stone Edges from different angles, Viper unleashing two Leaf Tornados, Bulbasaur unleashing rapid Energy Balls, Haunter and Skylar darting in between, the latter having charged a Sky Attack.
"Worms." The Stone Edges cracked before even reaching Spiritomb, shattering. The Energy Balls imploded on themselves, the Leaf Tornados scattering. Haunter appeared behind Spiritomb, Night Shade ready, but Spiritomb blasted him brutally with a Dark Pulse.
Skylar darted straight in, Spiritomb not stopping her as she used all her momentum to hurt Spiritomb. The Forbidden Pokémon flickered, and the avian passed through.
Straight into a wall.
Mystic quickly grabbed the heavily hurt bird with Psychic, lifting her and trying to hide her into cover. Spiritomb fired off three Dark Pulses, all of them hitting Mystic and blasting her and her cover.
Viper unleashed two more Leaf Storms, darting towards Mystic to defend her. Spiritomb appeared in front of her, morphed into something horrifying from Viper's past.
The Grass Snake froze in her tracks, Spiritomb wrapping two tendrils around her and sucking her life energy out of her. Lairon grunted, and a Rock Slide fell on him.
Spiritomb flickered, pulling Viper under them, and appeared behind Lairon. The Iron Armor Pokémon winced as his armor felt way heavier for his body, and he fell down, legs unable to support himself.
"What did I say worms?" Spiritomb asked, looking at Ash's team struggling to recover. Mystic multiplied by a dozen, all her Double Team copies racing towards Spiritomb.
She formed Shadow Balls and fired them, Spiritomb grinning at her rather pathetic attempt. The balls froze, all stopping before Spiritomb as Mystic crossed the distance quickly.
Spiritomb flickered again, letting Mystic pass through, and slammed all of the Shadow Balls into her. Mystic yowled in pain as the blasts tore her skin open, and Spiritomb stabbed his tendrils into her.
"You're very pain and torment fuels us." Spiritomb grinned, Mystic crying out in pain as their tendrils began to draw blood. "You served your pathetic purpose in this world. Now join us as we rule the world."
Mystic's gem flickered, the feline gathering whatever energy she could muster. Mystic breathed out, turning her head around, and unleashed the mix energy in a pure blast.
Spiritomb was hit and levitated back a little, their tendrils tearing apart, and Mystic scrambled to her feet. Activating Quick Attack, she fled from the Forbidden Pokémon.
Spiritomb chuckled and formed a blade of darkness, firing it off. Haunter reformed behind Mystic, firing a heavily charged Night Shade and cancelling the blade.
"You dare stand against me?" Spiritomb boomed. Haunter panted, heavily hurt from the previous attacks. Bulbasaur came out of hiding, firing off heavily charged Energy Balls.
Haunter quickly engaged Spiritomb, firing off Night Shades, Shadow Balls, and concealed Confuse Rays. Spiritomb countered his attacks with a raw wave of energy and grabbed him, throwing him in the path of the Energy Balls.
Mystic jumped in, grabbing Haunter with her new psychic abilities and pulling him out of the way. The Energy Balls hit Spiritomb, blasting them with raw energy and pushing the Forbidden Pokémon back.
"That's all?" Spiritomb questioned them. Mystic stumbled back in disbelief, unable to believe any Pokémon would be capable of taking such damage and still be unharmed!
Viper finally climbed out of the rocks, bruised and very hurt. She stared at Spiritomb with a defeated look, his Scary Look having shaken her completely. Lairon pulled himself up, looking at Spiritomb with anger, frustration, and fear.
Skylar squawked, looking at the Forbidden Pokémon wearily. Haunter backed away from him, standing by Mystic's side to stare at the Forbidden Pokémon in fear. Bulbasaur gritted his teeth, feeling helpless yet again.
First again that poacher in his Village, wreaking havoc with him unable to stop it, and now Spiritomb. Both times, he was unable to do anything other than helplessly watch and futilely try to prevent the wrong from occurring.
He wasn't going to allow it to happen again! Bulbasaur had enough of it! Ash and his beloved blonde had to suffer because he was unable to stop that damned Poacher! Now the entire Lavender Town would have to suffer if he failed!
He wouldn't fail.
Nope.
Not this time.
Yeah, Spiritomb was strong and one of the strongest Pokémon in the world. Yeah, he had the power to defeat the Dragon Tamer Melanie kept praising. Yeah, anyone brave enough to stand against such an evil being perished.
Yeah, he was a simple Bulbasaur.
Yeah, he was an average Pokémon.
But Bulbasaur didn't care for any of that.
Spiritomb would go down.
He would make sure of it.
A strange energy began to gather inside Bulbasaur, making him feel funny. Bulbasaur settled his eyes on Spiritomb and growled challengingly. Spiritomb smirked at him.
"You want to be the first to join us?" They asked. "Huh?" A bright white light surrounded Bulbasaur, emanating the battle torn floor. Ash's team looked at Bulbasaur in awe, feeling hope rise inside them as Bulbasaur began to change.
The Seed Pokémon got larger, the bulb on his back enlarging and large green leaves arising. Spiritomb watched on, unimpressed from the sudden evolution.
The glow faded, revealing the newly evolved Ivysaur in all its glory. Ivysaur barked at Spiritomb, adrenaline from the evolution coursing through his new body.
"Bulbasaur? You evolved."

Leaf tensed as Mismagius's tendrils approached her. Mismagius grinned, a dome of darkness covering her captive. Leaf's eyes flashed black as Mismagius began her torment.
"Leaf!" Anpu cried out as her friend's screams echoed across the tower. "No!" Mismagius chuckled evilly, no doubt enjoying Leaf's screams. "Stop it you evil bitch!" Anpu cursed.
Mismagius stopped, letting Leaf catch a breath. "Your turn will come too Anpu. Just wait." She smirked.
"I know how to bring Misdreavus back!" Anpu shouted. Mismagius, who was about to get started again, paused, "Leave Leaf alone and I'll tell you!"
"Don't Anpu!" Leaf shouted, coughing up blood. Mismagius's eyes glowed, Leaf seizing up and gasping.
"Speak." She commanded.
"Leave Leaf alone first." Anpu replied. Mismagius narrowed her eyes. "Leave her alone!"
"You're in no position to make deals I assume." Leaf was thrown on the ground harshly. "I can make you spill the information myself."
"You can kill me and I won't utter a word." Anpu replied, a resolute expression in his eyes. Mismagius smirked.
"I can try." Leaf was picked up again by her hair. "Or I can simply torture her so much you'll spill everything you know." Anpu chuckled.
"Go ahead." He replied. "Torture her. Break her. Tear her apart but I still won't tell you a single thing." Anpu hissed. Mismagius shrugged and continued.
Anpu winced inwardly, cringing at how Leaf shrieked out. He wanted nothing more than to save her but against this monster, he could do nothing. On the outside, Anpu kept on a stoned look.
"I think you're bluffing." Mismagius commented. "Once a ghost is banished, it cannot be returned to our plane of existence."
"For being a ghost you surely don't know much about how these things work." Anpu retaliated coldly. Mismagius dropped Leaf down, letting the brunette rest.
"How do I trust you're not bluffing?" Mismagius asked, moving in front of him. Anpu shrugged.
"Don't trust me." He replied. "Kill me." Sharp blades materialized out of thin air, swooping in.
"Be careful what you wish for." She quoted, the blades stopping just an inch away from his skin. "Now, should I try to extract the answer out of you or will you expel it yourself?"
"Do we have a deal first?" Anpu questioned. Mismagius simply stabbed the blades into him, dragging them down. Anpu shouted out in pain.
"Does that seem like a deal?" Mismagius questioned. She pulled the blades out, letting blood drip out of him. "Now, where were we?"
"Gengar! Now!" Mismagius let out a cry as a shadowy dagger struck her back and pierced through. Two local ghosts pulled out the icy daggers out of him and quickly dragged him away to safety.
"Why you?!" She cursed. Anpu quickly walked over to Leaf, checking her pulse.
"Leaf! Leaf, stay with me!" Anpu gripped her hand tightly. The brunette weakly opened her eyes, her companion pulling her into a sitting position.
"What is this?!" Mismagius questioned as all of the ghosts began to gang up on her. "You dare defy Lord Spiritomb?! You're supporting those cursed humans?!"
"The only curse here is you!" Anpu spat. "Get her!" Anpu got up, pulling Leaf up as well. "You okay?" Leaf nodded weakly, barely standing. "Let's get you to the hospital-"
"Ash." She interrupted. "He needs our help." She looked at Anpu. "I'm not leaving him behind."
"You're in no condition to help him!" Anpu responded. "You'll only-"
"I'm not leaving him behind." Leaf responded. A ghost floated over and gestured towards her, soothing waves rolling off him. Leaf felt her wounds lessen and she managed to stand much straighter. "Thanks."
"You're not going anywhere!" Mismagius roared, dark pulses blasting everyone around her away. "You're going to pay for what you did to my daughter! You're going to bring her back!"
Before she could carry on, more ghosts ganged up on her. "Is there really a way?" Leaf asked. "I don't really understand all this Ghost stuff but I thought that was impossible."
"It is." Anpu replied, a grin on his face as both of them returned their teams. "I fooled her to save you." Leaf's eyes widened. "Now c'mon! Ash needs us!" She nodded and the two ran for the stairs.
"No you don't!" Mismagius roared, dark chains thrown towards them. The duo ducked and dodged, trying their best to dodge them. "Get back here!" A chain managed to connect, throwing Anpu back.
"Anpu!" Leaf called out as he was pulled towards Mismagius by the chain. The evil witch formed a dark barrier and sent it towards him. "No!" A few ghosts jumped in between, grabbing the boy and pulling him out of the way.
Leaf saw the barrier heads towards her and jumped to the side, narrowly dodging it. A chain wrapped around her ankle, and she was dragged towards Mismagius.
"Ah!" Leaf scratched at the floor desperately, trying to find some grip against the dragging. A sharp blade flew and cut the chain in the two, freeing the brunette.
"Why you?!" Mismagius concentrated, closing her eyes. Leaf hastily got up, eyes widening as a dark dome formed around the witch.
"Get back!" Anpu called out to her, running as far as he could. The dome got larger, erratic energy cackling on it. Leaf quickly ran back, fear rising up her gut.
"ARMAGEDDON!" Mismagius roared, the dome freezing in before growing outwards. The ghosts shrieked as the dome vaporized them, swallowing the entire floor.
The entire floor was leveled.

"I have a video to show you." She placed her laptop in front of Alakazam, showing a playback from the surveillance camera. Alakazam examined the video, grunting as Officer Jenny's fraud was exposed.
"Officer Jenny," Officer Jenny looked away in shame, not wanting to meet his eyes. "Your very title stands for Hope, Courage, and Justice. You have disgraced the Judiciary System of the League." Officer Jenny was surrounded by a pink glow, frozen in place. "You will spend fifteen years in prison, your duties will be stripped from you, and you will pay twice the money you got from Damien Dark to Ms. Cynthia Carolina."
Cynthia's eyes widened. Wasn't that… a little too extreme? Alakazam turned to Damien. "Damien Dark, you have been found guilty of bribery. Your punishment will be decided once this current case is closed."
Officer Jenny tensed, stiffening before losing consciousness. She fell down on the ground, courtesy of Alakazam. Alakazam quickly levitated her to one of the sides, cuffing her arms, and turned to Cynthia and Damien.
"Are the records Officer Jenny presented valid?" Alakazam questioned Damien. Damien hesitated in answering. "Damien Dark, I once again ask. Have you faked the claims?"
"It wasn't me!" He claimed. "Officer Jenny made them to make sure she got the money! It was all her idea. I didn't even know what she planned or to what extent she would drop!"
"Lying, as always." Cynthia muttered. "Your Honor, if I may?" Alakazam nodded. "I ask for permission to interact with Gible? Such cases are mostly settled by the level of comfort a Pokémon is with their trainer."
"Objection Your Honor!" Damien stood up in protest. "I will not let her touch my Pokémon! You saw what kind of manipulative person she is!"
"I'll interact with him in front of everyone." Cynthia replied. "You can ask Nurse Joy for my team's Medical Record. I never mistreat them."
"Her team is highly cared for, something quite impressive for a rookie in their first year." Nurse Joy piped in. "You can check them for yourself. Damien's team, on the other hand…"
"Why do you speak against me Nurse Joy?" Damien hissed. "Has she paid you to do so? Have you been offered something from her?" Damien asked her.
"Off course not!" Nurse Joy protested. "I would never take bribery when it comes to the wellbeing of a Pokémon!"
"Order!" Alakazam boomed. "Cynthia Carolina, you have my permission. Both of you will interact with Gible. Cynthia Carolina will have the first turn." Nurse Joy picked Gible up, taking her over to the blonde.
"Thanks." Gible flinched as Cynthia reached out for him. "Don't worry Gible, I'll never hurt you." She mumbled softly, placing him in her lap. "Anyone would do the same if they were in your boots." She mumbled, lightly stroking his scales.
Gible looked up, eyes full of guilt. He felt so sad! How could he sell out such a good human out for such selfish purposes!? She didn't deserve to be in this condition!
"It's okay Gible." Cynthia mumbled, pulling him close to herself. "Everything will be alright. You'll be away from that monster soon enough." Gible slackened, enjoying her soft, soothing touch.
"I've seen enough." Alakazam spoke. "Damien Dark, it's your turn." Gible protested immediately. He didn't want to return to that monster! He didn't want to be even near him!
"She manipulated him against me!" Damien roared. "You saw what she said! She called me a monster!"
"I only spoke the truth." Cynthia grinned, rubbing Gible. Gible leaned into her touch.
"Damien Dark, Gible does not want to come in contact with you." Alakazam spoke up. "Officer Jenny, bring their teams." Damien's eyes widened. "Their statements will be the deciding factor."
"You're Honor!" Damien got up. "I wish to talk to them before!"
"I'm afraid that's simply not permissible."
"They have never gone through such circumstances! Some of my members are reluctant to give their statements!" Damien protested.
"You're digging your own grave Damien." Cynthia poked. "They already had given their statements to Officer Jenny, or was it fabricated too?"
"Shut up blondie!" He shouted.
"Or what?" Cynthia pressed on. "You'll hurt me again? You'll bribe Nurse Joy next?"
"Order!" Alakazam boomed. "Damien Dark, your wish will not be granted. Cynthia Carolina, I suggest you refrain from such harsh words and only speak when necessary."
"Sorry." Cynthia apologized. Their team's pokéballs were brought to Alakazam.
"Leave the courtroom." Alakazam told them. "I wish to talk to your team in private."
Cynthia got up with a wince, Gible jumping off her lap and nodding. He walked over to Alakazam while Cynthia and Damien left the room.
"You bitch!" Cynthia gasped as Damien slammed her against the wall, a look of pure murder in his eyes.
"Someone's angry." Cynthia smirked. Damien stabbed his hand into her wound making her wince. "Ah!"
"You'll pay for this blondie, I promise you." He threatened. "This will never be over."
"You can't do a single thing to me Damien Dark." Cynthia's knee shot up, hitting him in the stomach and knocking him back. "Save all the bluffing for the prison."
"You don't know what kind of people I know." Damien gritted his teeth. "A lot of trainers die from wild causes. What's one more name to the list?"
"…You're crazy." Cynthia replied after a few moments. Damien chuckled.
"Sophie Carolina." He smiled at the look on her face. "Your Mother's single, a divorced woman planning to spend her remaining life in sweet old Pallet Town."
"Don't. You. Dare." Cynthia warned. Damien got close to her, grabbing a lock and sniffing it mockingly.
"Or what blondie." Damien smirked. "Your dad's name is quite big in Sinnoh. No wonder he left you two to rot in Pallet Town."
"Don't you dare!" Cynthia yelled, pushing him away from her. "You don't know me or my family so stay away from them!"
"I won't." Damien swore. "You made a powerful enemy the day we crossed paths. And this enemy will cost you everything." Cynthia stayed quiet, processing all of it. "What happened blondie? Why so quiet?"
"You're crazy Damien." She spoke up, turning around and walking away. Damien grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.
"Aw, someone's scared-" Cynthia spun back and her left hand slapped Damien's cheek hard. Damien was knocked back from the hit.
"Let's make our hatred official." Cynthia smirked. Damien touched his red cheek, still reeling from the hit.
"So you do have some fight." Damien growled. Any further argument was cut off as Alakazam called them back.
"Justice will be served." Cynthia walked back in the courtroom, leaving Damien to follow her.

Ash felt pain wrack his body as he stirred. Subconsciously, Ash could hear the battle sounds and the cries of his team as they fought against the monster known as Spiritomb.
'Spiritomb cannot be defeated head on.' Ash knew. Only when the dust weakened him could they hope to stand a chance. The only problem was, the pouch was blasted off to a corner when the Shadow Ball had struck him.
Ash managed to gather enough energy to weakly open his eyes, hidden behind sharp rocks. He saw Lairon struggling on the ground, Bulbasaur charging up his attacks with Growth.
The Kantonian pushed himself up, watching Spiritomb blast Mystic with her own Shadow Balls. He looked around wearily, trying to spot the dust pouch.
Mystic managed to get away, Bulbasaur blasting Spiritomb with his overcharged Energy Balls. Ash hoped against hope that Spiritomb would've been decently damaged.
He wasn't.
Ash cursed, falling back down behind the cover as his team began to lose hope. Spiritomb gathered energy from the malicious ghosts around them, willingly sacrificing themselves so the endgame could be in their favor.
His team was too busy to properly notice Spiritomb's ever increasing power. Ash heard Leaf's and Anpu's cries from the lower floor, cringing at the situation they were in.
'I need to find a way out.' Ash realized. He looked around, trying his best to find the dust pouch. If only he could get that down to Leaf and Anpu, and they could finish off Mismagius and come up to help him…
"Huh?" Ash whispered, seeing a bright white light emanating. He turned around to the source and his eyes widened. Another one of his Pokémon was evolving in the tower?!
Bulbasaur evolved right in front of him, changing forms. Ash felt hope rise inside his team at the Seed Pokémon's evolution and grunted, getting up on shaky feet.
"Bulbasaur, you evolved." His team all turned to him, eyes dancing with joy at the sight of their trainer. Spiritomb turned to Ash, smiling maliciously. "Spiritomb, you're going down."
"You can try. Your funeral." Spiritomb fired off Dark Pulses towards him. Ash quickly jumped to the side, barely dodging the attacks. Mystic yowled, firing off Shadow Balls.
Ivysaur threw Seed Bombs towards Spiritomb, sending in Vine Whips. Spiritomb darted into the shadows, easily dodging the attacks, and appeared under Viper.
Viper didn't have any chance to dodge as the Forbidden Pokémon blasted her with one very strong Dark Pulse. The Grass Snake was sent flying in the air, nearly hitting the roof.
Skylar sped up, grabbing her and leaving her near Ash. Ash quickly grabbed the brutally beaten Viper and cradled her limp body in his arms. "Viper, rest up." He returned the Unovan starter.
"You were saying." Spiritomb appeared behind him. Ash froze, gasping as the Forbidden Pokémon froze him with his malicious aura and began to suck energy out of him.
Mystic's eyes lit up and she tried to pull Ash away from him. She winced, stumbling back as Spiritomb lashed out at her. Ivysaur sent his vines to the rescue, Spiritomb freezing them in mid-air, and turned them against their user.
Skylar descended from behind, blurring into an Aerial Ace. Spiritomb flickered, disappearing completely. Ash felt the aura around him fade and he collapsed on his knees, unable to evade the incoming Aerial Ace.
Mystic's eyes lit up and she harshly pulled Skylar away, but not enough. Ash felt Skylar impact his shoulder and dislocate it, shouting out in pain. Skylar quickly regained her balance, squawking out in worry when Spiritomb grabbed her by the wings.
She let out a scream of pure agony as Spiritomb blasted her back and the place her wings were attached with fiery dark aura. The waves of dark aura swallowed her completely, roasting her.
Haunter fired off Night Shades, trying to save the avian, but Spiritomb simply absorbed the attacks, looking at him. Haunter froze, feeling the Forbidden Pokémon's malicious aura bear down on him.
"Skylar!" Ash called out. Spiritomb grinned, letting her go and rushing towards Haunter. Mystic jumped in, gem glowing with effort as she unleashed a nonstop barrage of Shadow Balls.
Spiritomb flickered, letting the Shadow Balls pass through, and sent forward a monstrous figure made of Ominous Winds. Mystic and Haunter tried their best to endure the attack but it blew them back.
Spiritomb unleashed a Dark Pulse towards the downed duo, eager to finish them off too. Heavy sharp rocks snapped out from the ground, blocking the Dark Pulse and protecting the two.
"Skylar…" Ash whispered, returning his completely destroyed avian. He ducked under the newly formed Stone Edges, trying to evade the Spiritomb.
Mystic heaved for air, bleeding from the cuts all over her body. Haunter stood paralyzed in fear, not moving. "That's all the Lavender Town's Savior has?" Spiritomb questioned.
'I need to find the pouch!' Ash gritted his teeth, looking around. 'Only Haunter can find it right now.' He found the Ghost paralyzed, cowering behind his Espeon.
Ivysaur unleashed a barrage of Seed Bombs. Spiritomb turned towards him, enduring the Seed Bombs with ease. Ivysaur didn't let off, carrying on with Energy Balls, Razor Leaves, and everything he had.
Ash found his chance and ran forwards, reaching Mystic. Spiritomb turned back, completely ignoring Ivysaur, and grabbed him in shadowy hands.
Mystic got up, charging another barrage of Shadow Balls. Spiritomb shoved Ash in front of them in reply. "Go ahead. Blast your trainer into smithereens." Spiritomb warned. Mystic quickly dispersed the charge.
Haunter ducked into the shadows, very scared of the Forbidden Pokémon. If Spiritomb had noticed him, they pretty surely ignored. "Espeon, what a fine specimen you are." A shadowy wisp extended towards her.
"Mystic. Get away!" Ash choked out. Mystic back stepped but froze when Spiritomb tightened their grip on Ash's neck. She lowered her head, closing her eyes and submitting herself.
"Worms!" The wisp wrapped touched her gem, feeling its texture. "You really thought you could stand up to us?" Mystic felt the wisp sting against her skin.
The wisp grabbed her chin and forced her to make eye contact. "My daughter Misdreavus really liked you." Her torture flashed in front of Mystic's eyes and she winced. "So you do remember."
'I… can't… let… this happen!' Ash thought, feeling himself black out. "Mystic, don't- Ah!" Mystic got up immediately at that. Spiritomb looked at her warningly making her settle back down.
"Ash Ketchum," Spiritomb spoke up. "Savior of Lavender Town." Spiritomb chuckled. "You threw your life away the moment you entered my realm."
"Lavender isn't yours…" Ash choked out. The floor below them shook, like someone had blasted it apart.
"It is." He turned to Spiritomb. "Mystic, that's your name. Correct?" Ash's starter nodded. "Obey me, and your trainer will be spared." He turned back to Ash. "Disobey, and…"
Mystic fell down, gem flaring up as Spiritomb sent various visions into her mind. "Don't resist." They warned. Mystic had no choice other than to let him wreak havoc inside her.
"Mystic! No!" Ash called out as his starter suffered from Spiritomb's attack. "Stop! Stop this!" Spiritomb chuckled.
"She's suffering because of you. All of them are suffering because of you." The 107 evil souls retorted. Ash spotted the pouch of dust on the edge of the stairs, trying to formulate a plan to get there.
"Kill me, but let them go." Ash pleaded. Spiritomb denied. "I beg you, please!" Mystic let out a pained cry.
"Worm." Spiritomb taunted, and threw him down on the ground. He approached the downed Espeon. "Enjoy the show. You're next." Ash looked around wildly, trying to find Ivysaur, Haunter, or Lairon.
"You're team has betrayed you." Spiritomb chuckled. Mystic opened her eyes weakly, tears dripping down her eyes. "Mystic, will you disobey me ever again?" Mystic shook her head weakly. "Good, I want you to kill him."
Ash's eyes widened. Mystic looked at Spiritomb with pleading eyes. "Mystic, are you disobeying me?" Mystic shook her head. "Then kill him."
"Mystic," Ash called out softly. Spiritomb formed a nail in thin air and drove it into her back. "Mystic!" Ash shouted out as she screamed in pain.
"Kill. Him." They formed sharp claws and drove them into her back, tearing her back apart. Mystic's shrieked out in pain, gem flickering as very fresh memories flashed in front of her eyes. Blood splattered the floor as he had his way with her. "We Said Kill Him!"
"Do it Mystic." Ash told her. The Sun Pokémon shook her head, sobbing as Spiritomb ferociously tore her apart. "Do it!" His starter's gem lit up and she unleashed a raw blast, hitting her trainer and blasting him away.
Ash closed his eyes, trying his best to reach his starter. 'Mystic, throw me towards the stairs.' Mystic's eyes lit up and she altered his path. Ash hit the ground hard and rolled near the small bag of the dust.
Ash closed his eyes, feeling the pain wrack his body. He subconsciously grabbed the dust and tried to get up. Unfortunately, his body had enough of fighting over the last indefinite amount of time.
Ash felt a shadowy hand grab the pouch and subconsciously tightened his hand. "Haunter?" Ash gasped, blood dripping out of his mouth. Haunter gave him a guilty look. "Where are Ivysaur and Lairon?" Haunter gestured downwards. "Listen carefully." Ash told him.
"Get this to Anpu or Leaf. Make sure they take down Mismagius and then come to our rescue." Ash's eyes closed. "Do it, don't worry about us." Haunter nodded and slipped into the shadows, sneaking down to the lower floor.

Mismagius gasped for breath, looking around and smirking at the destruction she caused. No wonder Spiritomb chose her. Leaf was unconscious, buried under some rubble.
"Anpu, dear." Mismagius called out. "Where did you go?" Her hair rushed forward, grasping the sneaky Lavender Town resident. "There you are." She grinned.
"You'll never succeed Mismagius." Anpu gasped, beaten and really hurt from Armageddon. Mismagius chuckled.
"Look at your condition, yet you resist." She taunted. "You worms really think you can stop Lord Spiritomb?"
"We don't think, we believe." Anpu answered. "Go ahead, kill me. But Savior of Lavender will defeat you." Mismagius cackled.
"You amuse me." A shadowy blade formed. "I would've tortured you till your last breath but I have better things to do." Her smile turned into a sneer. "I'll make up for it by hurting your loved ones."
"Don't you dare." Anpu growled. Mismagius gave him an amused look. A metallic screech filled the whole floor suddenly making the evil witch flinch.
Sharp leaves flew forward, cutting the hair and releasing the ensnarled Anpu. The Lavender Town resident landed quickly on his feet, nearly falling down, but managed to run away.
"What the?!" She turned around and spotted Ivysaur and Lairon. "You pesky pets are still alive I see."
"Ivysaur, Lairon?" Anpu asked, hiding behind some rocks Lairon had erected. "What are you doing here?" Ivysaur growled at Mismagius, vines coming out.
Flashback…
"None of our attacks are working!" Ivysaur shouted to Mystic. Mystic looked at the Forbidden Pokémon wreaking havoc.
"Spiritomb is somehow growing stronger every passing moment." Mystic told him. "You and Lairon go down! I'll keep Spiritomb busy!"
"That's suicide!" Ivysaur protested. "You saw what happened to that woman's Pokémon! And that was when he was barely woken up! You alone cannot even scratch him."
"I need you two to trust me and go down. Take down Mismagius and bring Anpu and Leaf up here. Tell Haunter to scout the floor for the dust." She looked up at the Forbidden Pokémon. "Scout for an opening. Once you find it, do as I told you."
"But-"
"I got through Misdreavus's torture didn't I?" Mystic questioned.
"I may not have been that long in the team but I know just how much you got through." Mystic looked away, not wanting to admit that fact.
"Just take down Mismagius." She snarled. "I'm the first member of this team, and I earn the right to command you in such situations!" Her gem lit up and eyes glowed with energy. "Do as I said." Her voice was deeper, laced with her new powers.
Ivysaur had to admit, but Mystic looked really intimidating when she did that. "Fine, but promise me one thing. Try not to die or get hurt too much."
"…I'll try."
Flashback End…
"You can try but a mere evolution cannot hurt me." Mismagius formed a myriad of Shadow Balls in the air. "You're strongest fighter couldn't hurt me. What can fillers like you do to me?"
Ivysaur snarled at her in anger. "Aw, touched your sensitive vine?" She taunted. "You two are not worth my time." She replied them. "But I'll play to pass my time."
Lairon snarled and lunged forwards, Iron Head activated. Mismagius formed a triangle of malicious dark flames, and sent it towards him. Lairon grunted as the triangle swallowed him, burning away at his iron armor.
Lairon let out another Metal Sound, Mismagius easily blocking it by forming a dark barrier. Ivysaur slid behind her, firing off a couple of Seed Bombs with Leech Seeds hidden.
Mismagius formed dark blades which sliced the bombs in mid-air, making them explode. The Leech Seed carried on though, hitting her and ensnarling her in its energy sucking vines.
Lairon roared, and large rocks fell from the sky. Mismagius scowled and flickered, diving into the shadows and dodging the Rock Slide. Lairon quickly summoned Stone Edge, making cover for Anpu and Leaf.
"Burn!" Mismagius roared, appearing behind Ivysaur and unleashing another triangle of flames. Ivysaur gasped, trying his best to endure the dark fire. He had no choice other than to activate Protect.
Lairon quickly used Rock Slide on the two, knowing Ivysaur' Protect would hold. Mismagius tried to escape but Ivysaur grabbed her in his vines, letting his Protect deactivate for a few moments.
Then, as soon as the rocks were about to hit, he reactivated it. The two were buried under the large boulders, one receiving decent damage while the other wasn't even scratched.
"Did that do it?" Anpu questioned, clutching his bloody side. Lairon narrowed his eyes, looking at the pile of rocks. Ivysaur blasted his way out, quickly forming distance between it and himself.
Anpu got his answer when Mismagius reappeared, blasting the rocks away. "Why you…" She growled. There was a cry of pure agony from the floor above.
Ivysaur and Lairon identified it as Mystic's and gritted their teeth. They had to finish this witch off fast or Spiritomb might just kill her.
And then he'll be unstoppable.
"Lord Spiritomb is having fun." Mismagius grinned. "That damned Espeon will get what she deserves." A dozen tendril grew from her back, all poised to attack them. "You, on the other hand…"
She sent the tendrils towards them. Lairon immediately used Metal Sound, making the tendrils curl in on themselves and break. Mismagius formed a large wave of dark energy and sent it their way.
Ivysaur jumped in front of Lairon, using Protect. The wave failed to penetrate through the dark wave making Mismagius growl in anger. "Just die already!"
'She's weaker than before.' Anpu noted as Mismagius clashed with the two. 'Armageddon must have taken more out of her than we thought.' Ivysaur blasted her back with Seed Bomb, cutting her stinging hair apart with Razor Leaf.
Ivysaur hit her with Stone Edge, Ivysaur wrapping his vines around her and slamming her down to allow more Stone Edges to hit her. Lairon called for another Rock Slide, burying her under them.
The two panted the fighting taking its toll. They knew Mismagius was far from done, and what would happen if this fight drawled on. Mismagius Shadow sneaked her way out of the rocks, appearing right in front of Ivysaur.
"DIE!" A large shadowy dome surrounded her and Ivysaur, the Seed Pokémon grunting out as the dome began to repeatedly strike her. Lairon rushed forwards with Iron Head but shadowy chains wrapped around him, trapping him.
Dark flames licked the chains, pulling Lairon from all limbs. The Iron Armor Pokémon grunted, trying to force his way out. "None of you are leaving this tower alive." She growled.
Ivysaur collapsed to three feet, gritting his teeth as the pain gnawed at him. Lairon roared out as the chains began to pull him apart. Mismagius formed a large sharp sword, flipping Lairon and exposing his belly.
"Hail Lord Spiritomb!" She hollered, and prepared to stab Lairon and end his life. Lairon's eyes widened and he struggled against his shackles. Anpu watched on in horror, clutching the Stone Edge in front of him.
Ivysaur managed to form anther Protect, grunting as the dome constantly attacked his protective barrier. He formed a couple of Seed Bombs and unleashed them on the dome.
"No you don't!" The dome compressed the Protect, breaking it apart, and swallowed Ivysaur. There was a thud near the stairs, something the trio were too busy to notice.
"What are you looking at?!" Anpu gasped as a shadowy hand clenched his neck. He was lifted in the air, being choked by Mismagius. "How the tables have turned." She grinned.
She looked at the unconscious Leaf and lifted her up too. "So many lives lost only because of one girl." Her eyes glowed, and Leaf was forced awake. Leaf gasped in pain, her wounds getting irritated by Mismagius. "All four of you will join Lord Spiritomb." Her voice was darker.
Leaf kicked the air, trying to escape the hold. Mismagius cackled, enjoying their desperation. Anpu spotted something and his eyes widened. Haunter formed behind Mismagius, grabbing some of the dust and shoving it on her back. It also burned him and dealt heavy damage, forcing him to drop the pouch.
"AH!" Mismagius roared, releasing her captives. Leaf and Anpu hit the ground, collapsing down, while Ivysaur was released from the dome. Lairon jerked his limbs and the chains shattered. "WHAT?!"
She turned around and growled at Haunter. "YOU'LL PAY!" As she prepared to hit him, Ivysaur quickly sent his vines forward and wrapped them around the witch.
Pulling her back, he swung it at Lairon. The Iron Armor Pokémon rushed forwards and smashed into her back with Iron Head, throwing her towards Ivysaur.
Ivysaur spun, using her momentum and increasing it. He then threw her yet again towards Lairon who slammed into her again with Iron Head. Mismagius felt her breath get knocked out by the impacts.
Lairon unleashed a point-blank Metal Sound, disorienting Mismagius further, and unleashed a Stone Edge under her. Mismagius was sent flying in the air, where Ivysaur grabbed her with his vines and slammed her right onto the sharp rock.
He then unleashed dozens of Leech Seeds, sucking whatever energy she had with Mega Drain. Anpu grabbed the pouch and took some dust in his hand. "Rot in Hell." He threw it on Mismagius.
Mismagius let out an agonized cry, writhing around in pain. "Lord Spiritomb! Take ME!" Her form began to fade. Ivysaur pulled his vines back, stepping away.
"Leaf!" Anpu cried out as the brunette collapsed. He rushed to her side, helping her sit.
"I'm fine." Leaf mumbled. "Where's Ash?"
"He was at the above floor, fighting Spiritomb." Leaf nodded and weakly got up, assisted by Anpu. Mismagius flickered before dissolving into nothing.
"Mismagius is she…" Leaf asked.
"She's gone for good." Anpu replied. "Listen, you need to get out of here."
"I'm not leaving Ash or you alone." She replied. "We began this; we're seeing this till the end." Ivysaur gave Lairon a high vine, the Iron Armor Pokémon begrudgingly appreciating him.
"Let's go guys!" Anpu called out. The two Pokémon quickly made to follow them. Haunter stopped them. "What is it?" Haunter gestured to the dozen ghosts behind them and began to converse with Ivysaur and Lairon.
They nodded and Haunter managed to explain the plan to Anpu too. "Okay, c'mon now! Let's move!"

"Based on the points raised from both sides, and the statements taken from their team, we have reached a conclusion." Cynthia and Damien awaited the decision, one patiently and one impatiently. "Cynthia Carolina has been cleared of all charges." Cynthia smiled, closing her eyes and relishing in the moment.
"Damien Dark has been found guilty of Pokémon Abuse, Bribery, Fake Evidence, Poaching, Aggravated Assault, and Harassment. You will have nothing short of a Death Sentence." Damien's eyes widened.
"Justice will be served." Cynthia quoted smugly. Damien turned to her, uncontrollable rage building up inside him. "Enjoy." She taunted. Damien was unable to control him.
He lunged at her.
Cynthia was startled as Damien rushed, his fist racing to meet her skin. Alakazam acted immediately, freezing him up and suspending him in the air.
"Damien Dark, you will be held accountable for all of your felonies." Damien's struggling ceased and he went limp. "Cynthia Carolina, you will be paid double the money Damien bribed Nurse Joy with, Gible's ownership will be transferred to you, and you may adopt any members of his team you like."
"That's oddly gracious." Cynthia blinked.
"You stood against the wrong, risking your very life. You deserve this at the very least." Alakazam got up. "Nurse Joy will inform you of all the necessary steps. The court is adjourned."
Alakazam teleported away with Damien, leaving Cynthia alone with her and Damien's team. The blonde collapsed back on her chair, tired as the effect of the painkillers kicked in.
"I'm fine guys." She mumbled as her team flocked around her. "Go interact with Damien's team." Cynthia felt Riolu's worry through her bond. "Don't worry Riolu, Mama's fine."
Cynthia slipped into unconscious, barely having managed to be fully awake and alert throughout the whole hearing. But now she could rest in peace, knowing everything was alright.
She deserved it.

"Good girl." Spiritomb taunted. Mystic collapsed, unable to bear the pain or exhaustion. "But your trainer isn't quite dead." Mystic didn't react, staring at blank space hopelessly.
She felt a shadowy hand caress her torn back and closed her eyes, whimpering in pain. "You truly love your trainer, don't you?" Spiritomb stated more than questioned. "Such selfless love only brings demise."
He pushed her on her back. "I can kill you right now; I can end your miserable life." He settled a sharp shadowy claw on her exposed belly. "Want me to?"
Mystic considered it. She had lost all hope of surviving this tower now. Two of her teammates were down, the others had left to help Leaf and had yet to return. Ash was about to die. Anpu and Leaf were more or less dead too. Nobody could stop Spiritomb now, Lavender's demise was inevitable.
Mystic nodded.
"I would love to," Spiritomb told her, trailing a sharp finger to her neck. "But I want you to be there when I eradicate Lavender Town's very existence."
"You wouldn't!" Spiritomb looked up and saw Anpu & Leaf standing there with Lairon, Haunter, and Ivysaur. Spiritomb picked Mystic up.
"They betrayed you Mystic." Spiritomb taunted. "They left you to suffer, at my mercy."
"That's not true!" Anpu protested. "Don't listen to that evil curse Mystic! They are skilled in the art of deception!" Mystic felt Spiritomb tense up behind her.
She was thrown to the side like a ragdoll while Spiritomb looked at the group. "Witness yourself how I destroy them Mystic." Mystic collapsed down, hopelessly looking at the proceedings.
"Mystic…" Anpu called out worriedly. Spiritomb cackled, proceeding towards them. "You know the plan guys." Haunter nodded and phased into the shadows. Spiritomb stayed attentive on the shadows, expecting another Shadow Sneak.
Ivysaur and Lairon began their part. Lairon called on for a Rock Slide while Ivysaur acted to save Mystic. Spiritomb froze the large rocks in the air, applying enough force for them to crumble into mere dust, and settled eyes on the Ivysaur.
"Going somewhere?" They questioned. Ivysaur swung Razor sharp leaves towards him making them chuckle. "You don't learn do you?" The leaves froze in the air, moving towards their user.
Ivysaur, who did learn, knocked them to the side with Vine Whip and rushed in on Spiritomb. The Forbidden Pokémon froze him in the air, forcing a triangle of flames similar to Mismagius.
"I'll get my revenge." Ivysaur heard Mismagius say through Spiritomb. The Seed Pokémon unleashed a couple of Seed Bombs, grunting with effort.
Haunter slipped next to Mystic, tapping her side. The Espeon looked at the Ghost/Poison Type, eyes widening. Haunter quickly filled her in on their plan, and the feline nodded.
Haunter extended a hand, and she placed her paw in it. The Gas Pokémon quickly pulled her away from Spiritomb at a safe distance. Haunter eyed her back and winced. Mystic sighed, yipping at him to not worry. It wasn't as if the rest were in great shape…
"Ash!" Leaf crouched next to the unconscious Kantonian, ducking behind the Stone Edge Lairon had formed. "Hey, hey. Are you okay?" Anpu quickly checked his pulse and nodded.
"He's out cold but he'll be fine." He replied. "He'll survive." He ended and looked at Spiritomb who was wrecking Ivysaur and Lairon pretty brutally.
Lairon grunted as Spiritomb banged him against the floor, his metal armor denting from the force. Ivysaur himself was trapped inside the similar Triangle of Flames, unable to move.
Mystic nodded at Haunter, yipping that she was ready. Haunter looked around and signaled the ghosts to begin. Hopefully this'll be enough…
"That's all you have?" Spiritomb questioned, letting Lairon and Ivysaur collapse. "You aren't worth-" Spiritomb paused. Haunter signaled Anpu who got up quickly and ran forwards.
Spiritomb eyed the pouch in his hand and blasted Anpu with an Ominous Wind. The ghosts pressed on with their combined Curse, forcing Spiritomb to divide his attention.
Anpu gritted his teeth against the stinging air, doing his best to push on. Lairon roared, unleashing a Metal Sound which disrupted Spiritomb further. Anpu pushed on, reaching Spiritomb, and shoved some of the dust on him.
"AH!" Spiritomb bellowed in pain as the dust hit him. Mystic finished charging her Shadow Ball and unleashed it, hitting his keystone. Ivysaur stacked on with Leech Seeds, Seed Bombs, Razor Leaves, and Mega Drain.
The Ghosts carried on with the Curse, using every ounce of their existence. "We told you, you're going down." Anpu growled, shoving more and more of the dust on Spiritomb.
"No!" Spiritomb's voice was deeper, as if all 107 souls had spoken together. "We're Spiritomb! The Ultimate Weapon of the Dark Paladins! We cannot be killed!" The voices cried.
"Yes you can be." Anpu retaliated. "Haunter!" The Gas Pokémon floated over, reaching Anpu and the Forbidden Pokémon. "Do it!" He nodded and concentrated.
"We won't go alone!" Spiritomb declared. "You'll come with me!" The Forbidden Pokémon looked at the unconscious Ash and formed a large blade of Dark Energy. They threw it at high speeds towards the Kantonian making Leaf's eyes widen.
"No!" She roared. Mystic's eyes lit up and she grabbed Ash, jerking him away from the impact point. The blade sliced through the Stone Edge easily, cutting into Ash's previous location.
Haunter growled, extending his hands towards Spiritomb and unleashing a torrent of ancient, Ghost Energy. The energy surrounded Spiritomb's keystone, distorting the gaseous face.
"The Elder died! How can you-" Their voice cut off. "He bestowed you with it!?" Haunter nodded and pulled his hands in a squeezing motion. Spiritomb's keystone shuddered, cracking. "NO!"
Spiritomb's gaseous body faded away, the Keystone shuddering for a few moments before shattering. Haunter panted, collapsing immediately.
The shatter stilled the air for a few moments, like some big event has occurred. Ash's team and friends all froze, unable to even move. The entire Lavender stopped whatever they were doing, turning towards the tower.
Then, a gust of fresh air exited the top floor, sweeping across the entire town. The tower lost its malicious aura, so did the town. Any melancholy, despair, or evilness was purged away by the destruction of its very cause.
"We did it." Anpu was the first to speak, mouth wide open. Leaf smiled before collapsing backwards, hitting the floor and slipping into unconscious. Lairon and Ivysaur panted, looking at the remains of Spiritomb.
Mystic quickly searched the fragments and found the main stone. She presented it to Anpu who wrapped it in silky white clothing immediately.
"We did it Mystic." He said unbelievingly to the Espeon. Mystic nodded, closing her eyes and swaying. Ivysaur used Vine Whip, letting her drop down gently.
The Lavender Town's residents all flocked inside the tower, eager to meet their saviors. Anpu grinned, letting sweet unconscious finally take over his exhausted conscious.
Ash, Leaf, and Anpu.
An Espeon, Ivysaur, and Gengar.
Saviors of Lavender.
They did it.

Here's your chance to interact with the story! Damien has tons of rare and foreign Pokémon so review what Pokémon you want Cynthia to have and what kind of personality they should have. You can even select their nickname! If I like them, I'll surely give you a shout out and add them in Conqueror!
Response to Reviews:
Mark Andrew: A lot of readers are complaining about the gloominess and darkness but frankly speaking, Lavender Town Arc isn't going to be a vacation in Alola. It will be dark. And there will be tons of cheerful chapter now! Don't fret!
Mark Andrew: Ash is Ash, will mature overtime. And Cynthia was in a really tough position. Thanks for the compliment; I'm trying to separate Conqueror from Challenger, Traveler and other hit stories because it got to be separate. It won't be dark like Sun Soul or Latias's Journey but it won't be like the anime too. One day Conqueror will have its own legacy and position in the Fan fiction World, or so I hope.
UltimateCCC: We all deserve things we don't get. Why should I change that in our story? Reality aside, all things happen for a reason.
I am Vegito: Glad to see someone appreciating the Lavender Town Arc!
