Breakups suck :) sorry for the late update but I wasn't in the mood to update Conqueror or do anything which I used to enjoy. Never the less, enjoy the next chapter.

Revenge!

"Wakey Wakey!" Damien shouted, splashing Cynthia with a bucket of cold water. Cynthia gasped, feeling the cold water shock her to consciousness.

"Wha-" She hissed, looking around in confusion. Her eyes landed on Damien and she felt fear penetrate her muscles. "D-Damien?" She whispered.

"Hey darling," Damien grinned, setting the bucket down and cracking his neck. "How're you feeling?" Cynthia squirmed against her bindings, trying to escape the rope that tied her to a tree. "It's no use."

"What do you want?" She growled. Damien grabbed her chin tauntingly.

"What can you give me?" Damien questioned. "Cuz I can take a lot of things from you…" His very look sent chills down Cynthia's spine as they trailed down her damaged clothes. She tried to reach for her pokéballs, realizing, to her panic, them to be absent.

"Where are they?" She asked in fear. Damien chuckled evilly. "I asked where are they?!" She tried to jump to Damien only for the ropes to hold her back.

"I don't know." Damien grinned. "They were breathing the last time I saw them…"

"I swear Damien if you lay even a finger on them-" Cynthia was interrupted by Damien.

"I already did." Damien replied. "And you can't do anything." He added coldly. Cynthia's lower lip quivered at his tone. "Whatever happens to them is all on you blondie."

"I won't let you succeed." Cynthia vowed.

"I already did." Damien shrugged. "Its checkmate darling." He kneeled down, staring the outright terrified Cynthia in the eye. "You never should've crossed paths with me."

"I-" Cynthia stuttered. Damien closed the distance between them, looming over her closely like a predator. Cynthia couldn't help but crawl back.

"They won't ever find your body." Damien whispered in her ear. Cynthia recoiled at the feel of his hot breath washing over her skin. "They'll never witness firsthand the horror man can inflict."

"W-what…" Cynthia whispered. She felt Damien's lips brush over her neck and closed her eyes in fear. Damien planted a soft kiss on her neck before pulling back.

"You'll beg me to end your life by the time I'm done with you." He remarked and got up. "Want to know how your 'baby' is?" He asked, enjoying the raw terror on her face.

"Please! Don't do anything to him!" Cynthia pleaded. Damien grinned and walked away, leaving a terrified blonde alone. 'I need to get away and fast! He'll kill everyone.' Cynthia looked around hastily, trying to figure out a way.

She spotted her Pokégear, broken, in the grass. 'Oh no…' Damien returned by then, holding a limp Riolu by the neck. "Riolu!" Cynthia screamed. Damien grinned and threw the Emanation Pokémon down.

Riolu hit the ground like a ragdoll, unconscious and bloodied. "Stupid Pokémon." Damien smirked at the reaction Cynthia was showing. He stepped down on the Fighting type, grinding his sole against his back.

"NO!" Cynthia roared, hot tears streaming down her eyes. "Stop!" She pleaded. Damien laughed in a roar, stomping down on the downed Pokémon.

"I won't." Damien said and kicked the Fighting Type on his back. "Why should I?" Damien questioned and pressed his neck on the poor Fighting Type's cheek.

"Leave him alone!" Cynthia shrieked. "You son of a bitch!" She cursed, throwing expletives at him. Damien simply applied more pressure on the Fighting Type.

"Yes, yes. Keep doing that. The more you scream, the more you shriek, the more your Pokémon suffer." Damien shrugged and kicked the Fighting Type on his stomach hard. Riolu gasped, forced to wake from the pain.

"Mom!" Riolu called out in pain. "It hurts!" He screamed.

"Riolu!" Cynthia sobbed. "Just stop Damien! I beg you!" She pleaded. Damien stomped on the Emanation Pokémon's knee hard, a cracking sound resonating. "RIOLU!" She screamed just as he did.

"Okay, I'll stop." Damien said calmly, stepping away from the crying Fighting Type. "Only if you beg," He grinned. Cynthia looked at him with teary eyes.

"Please, don't do this." She cried. "Hurt me as much as you want, but don't do anything to him." Damien walked near to her, looking at her sobbing form with pleasure.

"Off course," He mocked. "I don't want such a pretty lady to ever suffer…" He caressed her right cheek tauntingly. He stared into her teary silver eyes, enjoying immensely.

"H-how did you escape?" Cynthia asked in a small voice. Damien got back up, running a hand in his blue hair.

"I was rescued." Damien replied picking up the wrench Cynthia had seen him with before.

"By who?" Cynthia asked, keeping a wary eye on the wrench.

"I don't know." Damien replied, tossing his wrench in the air playfully. "But I was assigned a task. Which I will complete now."

"H-how did you track me?" Cynthia questioned. Damien rolled his eyes and slammed down the wrench an inch away from Riolu's face. "Riolu!" Cynthia's heart almost jumped out of her mouth at that.

"Don't ask too much questions darling." Damien smiled, looking at the unconscious Riolu. "You might regret it."

Cynthia collapsed, breathing heavily. Damien chuckled at her reaction and picked up his wrench. "Aw, already tired?" He grabbed her by the hair roughly.

"You're a monster." She stated weakly. Damien smiled.

"That's what Isabella said." The bluenette replied. "Right before I…" He trailed off, letting his smirk do the job.

"Right before you…" Cynthia waited. "What did you do Damien?" She asked, panicking.

"What I intend to do to you." He grinned. Cynthia paled. Damien pecked her on the lips and looked at Riolu. Cynthia cringed at the kiss making him scowl. "Looks like I need to give you some encouragement…"

"No! Don't!" Cynthia gasped, realizing as his gaze went towards Riolu. Damien shrugged and pretended to get up when Cynthia leaned forward, kissing him herself.

Damien was stunned for a moment before smiling and kissed her back. Cynthia felt tears fill her eyes and a few even spilled. 'I wish I die right now.' She thought.

Damien broke the kiss, grinning. "Wow," He said. "Didn't expect that blondie."

"I- I-" Cynthia's lower lip quivered and she couldn't help the tears dropping down her face. Damien felt a pang of sadness hit him for a second before it got consumed by hatred. Cynthia quietly sobbed, body wracking.

"You shouldn't have done what you did." Damien commented quietly. "This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't done that." Cynthia didn't reply, sobbing quietly.

"I did what was right." Cynthia replied. Damien shrugged and got up. "Damien… please don't." Cynthia said tiredly.

"Sure. But only because of that kiss." Damien grinned. "Let me tell you how I escaped." He smiled. Cynthia nodded.

Anything to keep him talking.

"Who rescued you? And what did you do to…?" Cynthia trailed off.

"I don't know who rescued me." Damien shrugged. "And I killed Isabella." He smiled evilly. "Right after having some fun with her." Cynthia's eyes widened.

"Wha…" Cynthia trailed off. Damien nodded proudly.

"She was cute. What could I do?" Cynthia felt fear infiltrate her bones once again. "Anyway, did you get news about the burnt Pokémon Center?"

"T-that was you?" The blonde questioned. Damien smirked. "How did you do that?" The bluenette shrugged. "You killed that Nurse Joy too?" He nodded.

"Shocked?" Damien cackled with laughter. "You should be!"

"You're insane." Cynthia said, feeling her stomach nauseate. Damien smiled.

"Easy for you to judge blondie." Damien smirked. "But yes, I did all of that. I knew you were travelling to Fuchsia. I knew you would cross from that long path." He smirked.

"Clever," Cynthia admitted grudgingly.

"I paid those bikers to get you." Cynthia's eyes widened. "I paid them to wear your team down. After that, it was just a matter of hunting you."

"That's why…" Cynthia realized. Damien nodded. "They were purposely planning to wear out my team."

"Clever girl." Damien grinned. "After that, you were easy pickings." The bluenette grinned.

"Where did you get the money…?" Cynthia trailed off, already realizing the answer to that.

"My family." He smiled. "I have tons of money."

"You're crazy." Cynthia commented after a few moments. Damien shrugged. "All these crimes, all this, just to extract what? Revenge?"

"You threw dirt on me and my family's name!" Damien hissed. "You attacked our honor!"

"You guys have honor too?" Cynthia questioned. "That's new." Damien growled and slapped Cynthia hard.

"I have no morals though." Damien retorted. Cynthia stared at him, eyes widening.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Cynthia smiled. Damien furrowed his brow in a questioning method before feeling a figure walking behind him.

"What the- How did you escape!?" Damien asked the newly released Luxio. Luxio roared at him angrily and pounced on him, electricity coursing through him.

Cynthia winced, trying to struggle her way out of her bindings. She did her best to ignore Damien's yells and screams as Luxio shocked and bit into him.

Realizing that struggling was useless, she looked at Luxio for help only to widen her eyes in fear. "Luxio! Stop!" She yelled. Luxio didn't reply teeth stained with blood as he unleashed all of his anger on the bluenette.

All the rage, humiliation, anger, frustration Luxio had felt with his ex-trainer turned into strength as Luxio unleashed burst after burst of electricity into Damien. His teeth found too much solace in tearing through his skin tissue and pull out huge lumps of meat from within.

"Luxio!" Cynthia yelled, trying desperately to get his attention. "Stop- Eevee?" Cynthia paused, looking at the hurt and damaged Evolution Pokémon limping towards her. The Brown Fox Pokémon bit into her bindings, gnawing at the fibers.

She managed to bite through, eventually cutting through. Cynthia threw the bindings off her, gasping as her foot made it apparent that they were asleep.

"Stop him," Cynthia requested to Eevee. Eevee looked at her in a startled fashion before promptly unleashing a Hyper Voice towards Luxio.

Luxio was blasted off the limp, bloodied form of Damien, stumbling off him. He panted, gazing at Cynthia and Eevee. "That wasn't wise…" Cynthia mumbled.

Luxio stepped towards the injured blonde slowly, keeping his predator like gaze on her. Eevee crouched a bit defensively, readying a Hyper Voice just in case.

Cynthia stared back at the rather intimidating looking Spark Pokémon. All the blood on his fur, dripping down his canines, his scars, made him rather scary to look at.

"Luxio?" Cynthia called. Luxio stopped a little away from her, muscles tensed. Eevee stared at him, uncertain of his further actions. The limp form of Damien was a little away from them, unmoving.

Cynthia's eyes trailed to Riolu. Her Baby Pokémon was still unconscious and unmoving. Her heart ached at the sight and she so wished to go cater to him.

Her toes thought otherwise.

Luxio changed his stance making Eevee twitch in anticipation. She stared cautiously at the Electric Type, wondering just how she could take him on if he actually decided to go full Zeus on them.

Luxio relaxed in his stance, pawing at his face and deciding to clean up instead. Eevee relaxed as well, ears drooping as she collapsed down. Cynthia felt some life return to her toes and pulled them back towards her.

"Hey, you okay?" Cynthia asked Eevee, rubbing a hand on the Evolution Pokémon's head. Eevee yowled in response, leaning into her touch. Luxio watched the proceedings with interest. "That looks painful," She commented, looking at her left hind leg. Eevee nodded, grimacing. "We need to go get treated soon."

Eevee crawled up next to her, putting her head on her thigh and purring. She regretted leaving the blonde already! "We'll be fine. Don't worry." Cynthia told her, scratching her neck gently.

Cynthia felt footsteps approach her and turned her head around just in time to see-

-Luxio pounce.

"What's up with the dark eye bags?" Ash questioned Leaf as they ate breakfast. Leaf, idly playing with her food, perked up at the question.

"Huh?" She questioned. Ash gestured to her eyes with his fork. "Oh these," She nodded.

"You get so much sleep too." Ash commented. "You sleep like a Snorlax." He joked.

"Nightmares." Leaf replied simply.

"And you were planning to tell me that when?" Ash asked.

"What's the time for never?" Leaf asked idly. "Oh yeah, never." Seeing Ash's expression, she rolled her eyes. "I'll fine, Ashy boy. Don't worry about me."

"I can still help you." Ash replied, chewing.

"Yeah sure, keep guard every night. Whenever you see me twitch, wake me up. Then I'll kill you and you can haunt me forever." Leaf replied cheekily.

"I'll haunt you forever anyway." Ash shrugged. "No need to die for that."

"Yeah, your sense of humor is dead anyway." Leaf smirked.

"Company effects," Ash retorted.

"Whose? Cynthia?" Leaf giggled. Ash raised an eyebrow at that, a mischievous smile on his face.

"Ooh, someone's jealous." Ash commented.

"Yeah right," Leaf scoffed. "Why would I ever get jealous of Cynthia of all people?" She asked. Ash shrugged.

"Stupid girl problems, you know." Ash answered idly.

"What happened?" Leaf asked, taking in his sudden change of demeanor. Ash shook his head.

"Nothing, it's just that she hasn't replied yet." He told Leaf. "She normally replies by the end of the day or early in the morning."

"She might be busy or something." Leaf guessed.

"She informs me of that as well." Ash rolled his eyes. "It's not like her."

"Aw, are you missing your first love?" Leaf teased. Ash felt his cheeks heat up a little.

"What do you mean by that?" The raven haired boy questioned.

"Oh c'mon Ashy boy, we know you're both interested in each other. It's obvious you two have feelings for the other." Leaf giggled excitedly.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Ash shrugged. "She's just a very good friend of mine." Ash met her gaze. "Just like you,"

"Meh, I'm your bestie." Leaf replied smugly. "I'm your best friend, ashy boy."

"True that," Ash chuckled. "That's all you'll ever be. A good friend. Nothing else," Ash smiled innocently.

"Don't make this awkward you moron," Leaf mumbled.

As the two rookies pulled each other's leg, Ash's starter decided to check up on her teammate, Viper.

Luna strolled up to the Grass Snake, the Grass Type in question sitting solitarily a little away from the others. She did notice Viper noticing her but her friend gave no reaction to that.

In Pokéspeech…

"Hey Viper," Luna purred. "What's up?"

"Sky," Viper replied sarcastically. Luna couldn't help the smile across her face.

"What's down then?" She giggled, nudging the Grass Snake playfully. Viper gave her an annoyed look.

"What do you want?" She questioned.

"How much for a smile?" Luna questioned, flicking her tail playfully at her face. Viper gritted her teeth, evidently irritated. "Oh drop the act you green elegant snake, we both know you're pretending to be cold and chilly like that Froslass you defeated."

"Like you know anything about me," Viper mumbled.

"Ooh, attitude." Luna chuckled. "Aw, my adorable little Servine is learning to show attitude."

"Ignored," Viper rolled her eyes, turning to show her back to the Sun Pokémon.

"Can't ignore me," Luna said, climbing atop her and biting her neck playfully. Viper growled and wildly shook her body, trying to displace the Espeon off.

"Get… off!" Viper snarled. Luna felt dizzy and jumped off. "Why are you irritating?!" Luna feigned hurt.

"I'm… irritating?" She questioned innocently. "You hurt me right here." She gestured to her heart and did the best puppy eyes imitation she could.

"If you don't leave now, I'll blast you away." Viper warned coldly, eyes sharpening. Luna looked into her eyes curiously.

"Huh, why isn't your Glare working?" She questioned, peering into her lime eyes.

"Cuz I haven't used it yet," Viper activated her glare making Luna a tad bit uncomfortable. "Happy now?"

"Ecstatic," Luna said, playfulness returning back. "Your glare won't work on me, you do know that right?" Viper raised her brow at that.

"And why would that be?" She inquired.

"Cuz I'm not intimidated by you," Luna replied with a smile. "So, what's up?" Viper rolled her eyes and huffed. "I already know about sky, what else's up?"

"What do you want me to answer?" Viper asked agitatedly.

"Why are you so… you know, angry and on edge these days." Luna asked, making herself comfortable on the grass.

"This is who I am," Viper retorted. "This is who I was, and who I will always be." Luna rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. Because you had a horrible past and were told to never show weakness or else you won't survive and all that," Luna rattled off. "I thought you were over all that mindset."

"I was, until I saw Ash and his team nearly dying in that Arceus forsaken tower." Viper answered simply.

"We're all fine now-"

"Tell me that when you can use ESP," Viper interrupted. Luna was rather taken aback by that. She looked at Viper, trying to process the statement and make a comeback.

"…okay," Luna said at last. "Why are you punishing yourself then? You did your best-"

"It wasn't enough." Viper snapped. "You almost died, everyone almost died. Leaf got screwed over real bad. Half her team is dead. I almost died. What's positive in that?"

"…we got Haunter?" Luna tried. Seeing Viper's exasperated look, she continued. "Look, the tower was our worst experience till date. We all admit it. Nobody enjoyed inside. But it's in the past, get over it."

"Yeah, get over it." Viper repeated sarcastically. "See, that's why I'm done trying to empathize with you guys. How am I supposed to just 'get over it' huh?"

"By accepting us as your team," Luna answered. "We all got wrecked inside together; we'll all heal together, okay?"

"Cut the crap Luna!" Viper snarled. "I can see just how well all that together theory is working for you," Luna was taken aback once again. "When was the last time your ESP was working perfectly?"

"Weren't we discussing your issues and not mine?" Luna asked in a quiet voice. "Why did you turn it into a roasting session?"

"Why did you try to help me? Can't you see I don't need help?" Viper bit back.

"I was just checking up on you," Luna replied simply, playfulness disappearing from voice.

"I didn't ask for you to do so." Viper said.

"You're really rude, you know that?" Luna remarked.

"Anything else?" Viper asked with a smirk. Luna pursed her lips and closed her eyes for a few seconds, breathing deeply. "Oh, please don't start crying now. I don't really want to deal with drama."

"Sorry for disturbing you," Luna got up, turning around. "Won't disturb you ever again," She walked away, her voice and body language betraying none of her emotions.

Viper felt a pang of sadness hit her heart at the way she treated Luna before shrugging. "Shouldn't have asked for it…"

Eevee stirred, gasping as her body ached. Damien was the polar opposite of Cynthia that was for certain. She focused on her hearing, trying to figure out Damien's position.

The Evolution Pokémon needed to get away from the bluenette. God did he hate Pokémon with a passion! The Fox based Pokémon knew he hated her previous trainer Cynthia with the same fire.

Eevee, unable to spot Damien, pulled her bound forelegs up, cringing in pain. She opened her maw, biting down on the rope. Her jaw hurt. Actually her entire body hurt.

Damien is one son of a bitch.

The Evolution Pokémon gnawed at the rope, chewing through its fibers. Eevee wanted to escape from a long time; she just was unable to find the right opportunity.

She pulled a weakened fiber and broke it, spitting the strands out of her mouth. The Evolution Pokémon flexed her fore legs, gasping as the damage dealt to it by Damien made itself known.

Let's just say Damien got a kick from hurting Pokémon close to Cynthia, namely Eevee. Eevee flipped on her back, the deep gash on it making itself known. She raised her hind legs, swearing all the while.

The Evolution Pokémon quickly bit down on the binding there, chewing and ignoring the sheer, burning agony coursing through her neurons. She succeeded in chewing through, breaking the last rope binding her.

"Where did I throw that jackal…" Eevee's ears perked up. That was Damien's voice! She had to get away and fast! Eevee rolled to her feet, getting up and nearly falling back down.

Oh snap! Eevee lowered herself, feigning unconsciousness. "I'll deal with you guys later. You're beloved trainer is," Damien said, kicking the dark bag she was in hard. "Waiting to see your condition." Eevee didn't offer any resistance, rolling aside like a ragdoll.

Trainer? Eevee wondered. When did Cynthia… Damien has Cynthia captive! The Evolution Pokémon realized. She heard Damien walk away and quickly squirmed out of her dark black bag, clenching her eyes shut as the warm beams of sunlight caressed her.

She breathed heavily, dragging herself near a tree and sitting against it. "Riolu!" Eevee perked up at the scream. That was Cynthia! She needed to do something and fast!

Eevee could just Hyper Voice him to death. Or Damien could beat the crap out of her like last time. Something in Eevee didn't want to test those odds again.

Eevee spotted a lone pokéball on the ground and nodded. She pushed herself to her feet, launching forward in a Quick Attack. She ran/skidded/tumbled near to the pokéball, her sides heaving in pain and exhausted stamina.

She tapped on the pokéball with her paw, watching as it opened and energy spooled out. She stepped back a little intimidated as Luxio formed out, growling.

Luxio eyed her and frowned, looking at her injuries. He growled, asking what occurred to her. Eevee didn't have to reply as Luxio heard Damien's mad cackling.

Eevee nodded, gesturing to the direction. She told Luxio everything that had occurred since she met Damien. Electricity began to cackle off Luxio in anger as Eevee progressed. She also included the part about torturing Riolu and possibly his other teammates.

Luxio processed it all before growling in anger. Too much has transpired and Damien still walked around smugly, hurting others for his kinks and selfish desires. It was high time he himself stopped him!

Eevee suggested Luxio to just kill Luxio, for all of their good. Luxio nodded, anger and fury surging through his veins. Eevee told him to get Damien and she'll check up on Cynthia. Luxio nodded.

Eevee focused and raised her paw, a golden glow emanating from there and reaching Luxio. Luxio felt his energy increase and cocked his head. Eevee mouthed 'good luck' and stumbled forward.

Luxio growled at her, gesturing to his back. Eevee was a little taken aback but obliged and climbed on, feeling his electrified fur ticklish. The Spark Pokémon sped forward towards the voice.

The two reached just in time to see Damien slapping their beloved blonde hard. Eevee climbed off Luxio quickly, preparing a Quick Attack. Luxio saw Cynthia perk up at his sight.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Cynthia told Damien, relief evidently flooding her. Damien turned out as he subconsciously felt his presence

"What the- How did you escape!?" Damien asked. Luxio pounced on him, unleashing a Roar point blank. Damien wet his pants before screaming in pain as Luxio bit on his neck and unleashed electricity into him.

HE HAD ENOUGH! Damien thought he was invincible or something no one could stand up to! Luxio had enough of all that! All that pain, torture, self-esteem shattering taunts…

Flashback…

"You stupid good for nothing!" Damien growled, kicking the then Shinx and stomping in anger. "You're never be anything in your life you worthless piece of shit! I wonder why my parents bought you anyway! So much for a good starter Pokémon!"

"You can't even defeat that slutty Misty's Starmie." Damien said, picking Shinx by his collar. "You call that a good performance? You call that a good battle?!"

Shinx finished evolving, growling in pride. "Wow," Damien uttered. Luxio looked at him, wishing to see an ounce of pride in his eyes.

There was none.

"All this glow up and all stupidity, but you're still a stupid, good for nothing, loser of a starter, idiot Electric Type." He spat. "You don't deserve to live! You can't even defeat a Bellsprout!"

"You won't understand through love, will you?" Damien said, lifting a shovel. Luxio, head held low due to all the insults and taunts, was not ready for the shovel that hit his head.

She hit the ground, gasping as his brain rang. Moments later, a sharp pain ignited in his back as Damien dug a knife deep into his back. "This is the cost you have to pay for your stupidity! The more you fail, the more you deny doing things the right way, the more you'll suffer!"

Luxio forced himself to stand, looking at the Golem staring at him in pity. "Finish him off you stupid fool! Use Thunderbolt!" Luxio accepted his fate and unleashed the current towards Golem.

"He won't go down this way Golem," The Rock/Ground Type's trainer whispered sadly. "Rollout near him and Explosion."

Luxio still felt the burns from that Explosion as he was forced to succumb.

"Please! Please don't!" A new trainer whimpered, crawling back as Damien grinned at her evilly. "You want my money? Take it!" Luxio stared at Damien with subdued anger, wanting to intervene.

"Luxio, show her how we do things." Luxio swallowed any sense of right or wrong and unleashed a Thunderbolt at the trainer. She screamed in pain and writhed around in pain.

Damien let the electricity course through her for a few seconds before lifting his hand. Luxio stopped, looking at her quivering form with pity. The bluenette walked to her, purposely stomping the unconscious Pidgey under his foot.

Luxio couldn't understand just how cruel one could be! What did that trainer or her Pokémon do to him?! "You'll never get away with this…" The girl whimpered as Damien unzipped his pant and grabbed her by the hair.

"They'll never find your body, what do I have to worry for?" Luxio looked away as Damien committed yet another atrocity.

"You bastard!" Bill gasped, clutching the gash in his stomach. Damien wiped the blood off his jaw, grinning at him. "Why are you doing this?!"

"Because I can, and I want to, and I will." Damien answered. "Luxio, light him up!"

Flashback End…

Atrocity after atrocity! There was no crime Luxio hadn't seen Damien do. From kidnapping Pokémon and selling them for his own profit, to mistreating others for his own selfish desires and gains. Luxio honestly wondered what kind of upbringing Damien had gotten to commit such things with no regret.

Cynthia wasn't the first or the last trainer Damien treated like this. The Spark Pokémon knew it was only a matter of time before Damien bailed out again. His family was one resourceful family and let him do as he pleased.

The only way to free the world of this evil was to take Damien's life. Just as he took the life of countless trainers and Pokémon. Without regret.

With his help.

Luxio knew Damien had succumbed long ago to his injuries but the anger, frustration, and everything he had kept bottled up within him spilled out.

The grass around his feet got scorched by the amount of electricity he emitted. Luxio probably would've knocked himself unconscious by the amount of energy he released had Eevee not knocked him off Damien with Hyper Voice.

Luxio stumbled off, breaking out of his angry state and looking at Eevee and Cynthia. Luxio was, ironically, in a state of shock, as he stared at the blonde and her Evolution Pokémon.

It took him a few minutes to process everything but he finally relaxed and sat down, staring at the two. He decided to clean up, feeling Damien's blood stick to his fur. Cynthia and Eevee relaxed as well, the blonde treating her… kindly?

Luxio didn't understand. Sure, Eevee saved Cynthia and her entire team but didn't she run away as well? Shouldn't Cynthia scold and hurt her due to that? Or at the very least punish her verbally?

To his utter shock, pun not intended, Cynthia treated her contrarily. She was treating her so nice, and so soothing, and so… kindly? That was odd.

Why would she, a trainer, treat her Pokémon so nicely? Especially someone who had abandoned her? Luxio didn't understand. Cynthia was kind to Riolu, because she was kind of his mother, and the rest of the team as well because they were her responsibility, but why Eevee?

Flashback…

"Hey Luxio," Cynthia greeted gently. Luxio opened one eye cautiously, looking at the blonde. "Mind If I sit here?" Luxio scooted to the side, letting her.

Cynthia might be kind, but she was a trainer.

Just like Damien.

Denying her anything would probably result in punishment, so Luxio kind of didn't have a choice. He knew Cynthia wasn't as cruel as Damien, but she was a trainer.

He disliked that profession immediately.

Cynthia sat down next to him, placing down a bowl of food. "Eat up," She smiled. Luxio felt something strange rise inside him. Something foreign. Something he hadn't felt in a while.

Luxio leaned towards the bowl, opening his mouth and nibbling on the Pokéfood. He expected it to be bland, and stale, and most probably feel like a punishment to eat, but boy was he not prepared.

Luxio ate his first bite slowly, before speeding up his pace. It was delicious! He probably hadn't eaten anything like this ever since meeting Damien!

Cynthia grinned fondly as Luxio ate up, analyzing his frame and scars. His ex-trainer had done a number on him. Luxio quickly scarfed down his food, growling in satisfaction.

"Did you like it?" Cynthia questioned. Luxio nodded. Maybe Cynthia wasn't as bad as he thought- "Wait here…" Luxio's eyes widened. Here came the cost and the punishment.

He eyed the retreating form of Cynthia and braced himself. Whipping? Burns? Poison? What would Cynthia inflict on him he wondered. Damien relished in making his life as hell as possible and would inflict all three whenever he saw his starter happy.

Meh, Luxio probably deserved it. He was unable to defeat a Starmie or a Golem on his own, he was a loser anyway. He-

"Here," Luxio opened his eyes and was taken aback. Cynthia had returned, with more of the Pokéfood. "Eat up like a good boy," Luxio breathed deeply, trying to process the situation. "C'mon Luxio, don't be shy."

Cynthia placed the bowl in front of him and sat down, smiling at him cheerfully. Luxio did as she asked and ate up, slower. He savored the taste. "I don't know how to cook, you know." Cynthia joked. "Hope you like this."

Luxio looked at her in disbelief. She was seriously asking this? This was heaven! "Glad you like it," Cynthia replied cheekily. Luxio ate up, lying down satisfied.

"Can I pet you?" Cynthia asked. Luxio opened his eye. Why was she asking that? Heck, she could torture him and he wouldn't mind. What could he do against her anyway-

He did not expect Luxio to pull him into her lap and caress his head gently. "You're such a strong boy." She cooed, scratching and petting him. Luxio melted into the touch of her soft, warm hands. He couldn't help the purr leaking from his mouth as Cynthia pampered him.

Was this heaven? Did he die? Luxio wondered.

Cynthia touched his belly and Luxio spasmed. "Huh? Is someone ticklish…?" Luxio felt strange convulsions inside him as Cynthia began to scratch his belly. He began to convulse, strange happiness releasing within him as Cynthia tickled him.

Luxio got up and pushed her down, climbing atop her and nuzzling her. Cynthia giggled as sparks bouncing off his fur stimulated her. Luxio let go of all his fears and played with the blonde like he would play with another Luxio.

Unspecified time traversed as the two played and for the first time, Luxio genuinely enjoyed himself. "You're so adorable." Cynthia cooed as she got up, Luxio comfortably lying in her lap. "You're awesome Luxio." She said, rubbing her cheek against his.

Luxio felt something soft touch his forehead and looked at Cynthia confusedly. The blonde kissed his forehead in pure adoration, grinning. "We're going to reach the Biker's bridge tomorrow. I don't want to rush things but if I really do need someone to fight with, will you?"

Luxio shrugged, looking down due to low self-esteem. "Hey, hey, Sparky." She giggled at the nickname. "Listen, you're an amazing Pokémon, okay? It doesn't matter if we win or lose a fight, what matters is what we learn from it. Okay? You may be miles away from Braixen and Nidorino, but you'll catch up. Trust me, okay?"

Trust. That was something he didn't have a lot of. And something he didn't want to indulge in anyone anymore. Not after what happened last time…

"Baby steps," Cynthia reminded herself. "You're amazing Luxio, and I'll earn your trust. Just give me a chance, okay?" Luxio agreed to that. "Now I need to rest up for tomorrow and get Riolu to bed too. Let's play again tomorrow?" Luxio nodded excitedly.

"And remember, anything you need. I'll be just there." Luxio pawed at her suddenly. "You want me to sleep here?" Luxio nodded, showing vulnerability for the first time in many months. "Sure, let me just get Riolu, okay?"

Cynthia got up and walked away, leaving Luxio waiting. The Spark Pokémon didn't want to give another chance to anyone, let alone trust them. But something in his gut told him to go ahead.

Cynthia so far treated him way better than Damien.

But she was a trainer…

He'll weigh the odds later. Cynthia was his trainer now, and he'll obey her. Whatever happens, he'll have to see.

Flashback end…

Eevee crawled up next to her, putting her head on her thigh and purring. She regretted leaving the blonde already! "We'll be fine. Don't worry." Cynthia told her, scratching her neck gently.

Cynthia felt footsteps approach her and turned her head around just in time to see Luxio pounce. Eevee readied a Hyper Voice within moments and was about to unleash it before pausing.

Luxio licked her red stained cheek, trying to soothe it. Cynthia giggled, his tongue was ticklish. "I'll be fine Luxio, don't worry." Luxio climbed down, looking at her in concern. "Did he hurt you?" Luxio shook his head.

Cynthia looked at the corpse that was Damien and cringed. She looked away quickly and spotted Luxio eyeing her torn clothes with concern. "Relax, you guys saved me in time." Luxio sighed in relief. Cynthia judged by Luxio's reaction that Damien had committed such things before as well.

"Luxio, can you get my supplies and pokéballs? Get Riolu here first." Luxio nodded and walked off. Cynthia gasped, a searing pain rising in her chest. Eevee yipped in alarm. "I'm fine, just some pain," Cynthia replied, eyes watering.

Luxio returned with Riolu, dropping him in her lap gently, and then walked off to get the other supplies. "Oh my, screw you Damien," Cynthia said, tears shedding immediately as she looked at his hurt body. She wiped the blood off him, breathing deeply. She caressed him gently.

Eevee yipped, gesturing to where Luxio had gone off to. "When we bonded so much?" Cynthia asked. Eevee nodded. "The night before yesterday." She looked at her. "You have a lot of catching up to do Eevee. I'll fill you up on the way. By the way, you're rejoining right?"

Eevee grinned. When did she ever leave? Her pokéball was active all the while. Cynthia smiled at that. "Atta girl," Luxio returned by then. She quickly returned Riolu and counted the pokéballs. "I don't know if he hurt everyone or only you guys," Cynthia mumbled. "I'll check-up at Fuchsia." The two nodded. Luxio leaned down against her.

The three relaxed for a while.

"You guys are really brave, you know that." Cynthia complimented. "Let's get treated now. Fuchsia isn't-" Cynthia coughed mid talk, feeling a searing nausea hit her. Her head began to spin, ears ringing, vision blurring.

She covered her lips as her coughing fit began, vaguely hearing Luxio and Eevee calling out to her in concern. Time slowed as Cynthia felt spit and something else get coughed out.

She pulled her hands back, dilated pupils widening at the sign of blood droplets. She didn't have much time to process it as her coughing resumed.

'What-' Were Cynthia's thoughts as her sides heaved from pain. She coughed up more blood, feeling a burning sensation spread across her whole body.

"Get… to… Fuchsia…" Cynthia fell to her side in the attempt to speak, coughing up. Blood began to leak from her nose, alarming her two conscious Pokémon even more. Her senses gave up on her, her arms fell limp on her side, as her fit continued.

Cynthia didn't know when, she didn't know where, but her eyes drooped. She felt someone pull her up and rush off as she dangled off it.

Her consciousness slipped away and she fell into a painful silence. 'What the…'

It seems like our favorite blonde cannot get a minute of respite.

Ending again on a cliffhanger! Don't worry, I'll try to upload more consistently now. No promises, but I'll try. Besides, I have more time and free space to think now given my breakup so yeah, let's see.

Guest: Okay bro XD

Alphabacon34: It was… something.

Uday Sra: Thanks.

UltimateCCC: That time of the month has passed away already, unfortunately XD.

Guest: I have a pretty wide range of phrases to use but I wanted to keep every character a little relatable. See, we all use a similar set of phrases and words more often daily. That's what I want to show, hence using the same. Speaking casually, one doesn't really switch up his vocabulary so much. That's why. Thanks for the constructive criticism.
