Psychic Monsters!
A week later…
"Haunter, Shadow Orbit!" Ash yelled. Haunter formed a myriad of the shadowy orbs, concentrating. "Luna, get ready to intercept them with Psychic!"
"On it!" Luna called back. Haunter struggled, gaseous form struggling as the balls began to lose their shape and he began to lose control.
"Haunter…" Ash called out in disappointment as Haunter lost control over the Shadow Balls. "You still haven't gotten Shadow Orbit down. We're going to challenge Sabrina tomorrow."
Haunter sighed sadly, looking down. "Try again. I want Shadow Orbit finalized by tonight!" Haunter nodded and the duo began trying again. Ash looked at the rest of his team.
Oceanus was battling against Viper, trying to pin the slender snake down with his long ranged attacks, while Viper was improving her close ranged fights.
Zeus was against Lairon in an exercise similar to the aforementioned pair. Lairon was adapting his Rocky Terrain to trap Zeus, or any sneaky Pokémon for that matter, inside and finish them off while Zeus was practicing how to not fall for them.
Ash knew Sabrina had a Mr. Mime who could replicate such circumstances with Barrier. Ash wanted Zeus to deal with him if Sabrina pulled out him for the fight, hence the preparation.
Haunter would be the opener, maybe take the first Pokémon down and Destiny Bond the second one as well, or Destiny Bond the first one. Zeus would paralyze Sabrina's second choice and Lairon/Oceanus could enjoy an easy picking.
Ash would replicate the same with her third choice, and then all three of his pokémon could combat against her infamous Kadabra. Viper would be completely fresh and with her Overgrow and with the others potentially wearing him down, she'll knock him out resulting in a victory.
Ash had read up Sabrina and her potential roster as well. She had a more or less fixed set of Pokémon which he could defeat if he prepared fully.
"Look at you," Leaf commented strolling over and handing him a milkshake. "Over preparing much?" She remarked. Ash took a sip of the milkshake, letting the cold liquid soothe his throat.
"Sabrina isn't going to hand over that Marsh Badge easily," He replied. "Any amount of preparation won't be enough." Leaf winced as Viper was blasted back with Hydro Pump.
"You'll be fine Ash," Leaf said, rubbing her neck with a wince. "Let them rest now or you won't have a team to fight with tomorrow,"
"How's your neck?" Ash questioned. The swelling had disappeared mostly but some marks were still evident.
"It's almost perfectly fine now, Ash." Leaf told him. "Tell them to stand down. You want to win? You'll need everyone at their hundred percent."
"Your wish is my command coach," Ash teased her sarcastically. "I'll stop them within a few moments, okay?" Leaf looked at the night sky and bit her lower lip.
"Ash, the sky has darkened. You guys have been preparing non-stop since the morning. It's a gym battle, not the League finale or anything!" Leaf scolded.
"The toughest Gym Battle of mine ever." Ash stressed. "This is the moment. We must prepare completely and fully,"
"Ash, that's your strongest team over there." Leaf retorted. "Luna isn't at her strongest nor is Haunter but Lairon, Oceanus, Viper, and Zeus are your A Game. You're going to use your strongest team against Sabrina!"
"My strongest won't be enough-"
"You trained so much in Rock Tunnel, and then in Lavender you defeated Anpu in a 6v6. You trained all the way leading from Lavender to Saffron yet you still doubt yourself and your team." Leaf reprimanded.
"She's right you know," Luna chimed in. "With so much exhaustion, I doubt it's any use training further." Ash's eyes trailed over to his team that was, indeed, overspent.
"Guys!" Leaf called out. "Enough training for today! You can relax and chill now!" Ash's team cheered out and immediately stopped training. Ash grumbled something which Leaf purposely ignored.
"Thank God we have you Leaf!" Luna said gratefully. "Someone is needed to nail ideas through our stubborn trainer's head!"
"Congratulations, you have successfully stolen my team from me." Ash clapped slowly. Leaf rolled her eyes and threw her arms around his neck, kissing him softly. Ash could taste the chocolate milkshake she had been sipping in the kiss.
"I didn't hear you complaining when I stole you," Leaf whispered.
"I'm all yours, you had nothing to steal." Ash shot back.
"She had to, from a certain blonde." Luna commented. Leaf wisely didn't react, nor did Ash rise to the bait. "Fine, you two enjoy your personal space, I'll go talk to Viper or something!"
"You better," Leaf mumbled.
"I heard that!"
"You were supposed to!" Ash shook his head at their antics. "Want to eat something?" She asked Ash who nodded.
"Please! I'm starving," Leaf pecked him on his cheek and quickly left to grab him something to eat. Ash observed his team's interactions in the meantime.
"So, ready to slap Sabrina's Kadabra into oblivion?" Luna asked Viper, nudging her playfully.
"If the strongest Psychic Pokémon Luna blesses us, then sure." Luna rolled her eyes and whisked her tail across the Grass Snake's face.
"Stay blessed stay green," Luna raised her paw and tapped it on her forehead.
"You two chill now?" Zeus asked.
"When were we not chill?" Luna shrugged. "We were always chill, right Viper?"
"Yeah, even chiller than that Froslass I banged," Viper gave a smug pose.
"Whoa Viper, you sure have a… weird taste." Zeus remarked innocently.
"Not in that sense you idiot!" Viper slapped him with her vine. Luna couldn't help the chuckles that left her mouth. Ash, who was being given the translated version, couldn't help but chuckle as well.
"Here," Leaf returned with his dinner. "Sit down," Ash did as she asked, sitting down on the ground. "Your hands are dirtier than your sense of humor, so I'll feed you myself."
"Lucky me," Ash joked. "Wanna eavesdrop on their conversation?" Ash asked as his girlfriend fed him a bite.
"You don't have to ask that," Leaf grinned. Luna, who had been channeling their conversation without informing the participants, added Leaf in the mix as well.
"Oh, Cynthia is going to give quite the reaction when they meet." Zeus remarked. "They were really close, and now Ash has mated with Leaf, who's very sweet btw. It's gonna be awkward, you know, having two mates of yours meeting!"
"They haven't mated!" Luna defended. "I mean, I don't think they have."
"They were pretty clingy when we fought that crazy monkey," Viper added. "Maybe they have but they aren't showing it to us," Ash and Leaf blushed, remembering the scene at the dojo.
"I don't know about them, but Ash and Cynthia have for sure not mated." Luna said. "They are just friends, and that's all they'll ever be now. Just like you and Zeus!" She added cheekily.
"Yeah- wait what," Viper blinked in surprise making Luna burst out laughing. Ash and Leaf couldn't help laugh alongside as well. "W-what's the sense of that anyway?"
"Yeah, who'll like to mate with a Grass Type?" Zeus jokingly added. "It'll feel like doing a vegetable!"
"Okay, that's enough." Leaf told Luna. Luna cut off Ash and Leaf's connection.
"That was… something." Ash commented. "I never knew Zeus was so…"
"They're full of surprises," Leaf mumbled. "They don't know about the Dojo… right?" Leaf asked hopefully.
"Nope," Ash shook his head. "Nothing happened there, as far as we're concerned."
'Though you wish a lot of things had happened don't you?' Misdreavus commented sneakily.
'It's just teenage hormones acting up, nothing else.' Leaf replied.
'Yeah, maybe that's why you had that dream in which Ash was-'
'Okay shut up you won!' Leaf blushed. 'I do crave Ash's touch, okay?'
'There you go, was that so hard to admit?' Misdreavus asked. 'I can help you get him down though, want me to?'
'No… it'll be awkward.' Leaf could feel Misdreavus roaring in laughter. 'Besides, why do you care suddenly about my love and non-existing sexual relationship?'
'I'll have some fun too na…' Misdreavus added sneakily. 'And no need to deny, I know what you want deep down. Let me work my magic and you observe.'
"…I hope Destiny Bond works and I can get two of Sabrina's Pokémon." Leaf heard Ash say. Her eyes flashed purple and she grabbed Ash's collar, pulling him into a kiss.
"You'll wreck Sabrina apart, don't worry." She smiled. "Now c'mon, you must be tired! Let's go relax and cuddle," She shyly blushed. Ash thought she looked adorable.
"Sure, let me just-" Ash was interrupted by Leaf again.
"Luna will handle it don't worry. Let them play and have fun." Leaf got up and pulled Ash with her.
"I'll return everyone and hand them and myself over to Nurse Joy, don't worry." Luna chimed in. "You two enjoy!" Leaf gave her a mischievous smile.
'We will, don't worry…'

"I wonder how we'll fare against her." Ash said climbing into Leaf's bed and into her open arms.
"You'll be fine, don't worry." Leaf assured him and kissed him. Ash returned the kiss with pleasure. "You might not win, but you'll give her a run for her money."
"You're having a lot of trust in me," Ash said, wrapping his arms around his girlfriend and pulling her onto his lap.
"You defeated Spiritomb, what can Sabrina do…" Leaf moaned the last part out as Ash kissed on a sensitive point of her neck.
"You like this, huh." Ash grinned, biting down on the point. Leaf whimpered in pleasure. "I had you, Anpu, and every ghost of the tower backing me against Spiritomb."
"You still have me Ash," Leaf captured his lips in her own and pushed him against the headrest of the bed.
"I'll always have you," Ash replied between the kiss, hands diving under her shirt and caressing her hot naked skin. Leaf bit on his lower lip, tugging it roughly.
"You're gonna do great against Sabrina Ash, don't worry." She said. "Just relax." She felt Ash trailing his nails up and down his back and felt her arousal increase.
"Our parents are going to be really proud of us huh," Ash chuckled, leaning up and kissing her again.
"Who's gonna tell them anyway," Leaf grinned. She saw Ash hesitate and paused. "What's wrong?"
"Aren't we progressing a bit too… quickly?" Ash questioned. "Shouldn't we take things a bit… slow?"
'No!' Leaf heard Misdreavus roar. Before she knew it, she had pushed Ash back down and grabbed the hem of her shirt.
"We're going to be okay…" Leaf's eyes flashed purple. Ash blinked before feeling his guilt and uncomfortable feelings all fade.
"What…" Ash's eyes flashed purple as well. Leaf smiled and took off her shirt, throwing it to the side. "You're so… beautiful…" Ash felt his body work against his will and he began to fondle his girlfriend.
"Ugh…" Leaf moaned, grinding in his lap. Ash felt waves of pleasure wash over him at that.
"Leaf…"
"Ash…"
…
Leaf collapsed down on top of Ash, sweaty and satisfied. "That was… amazing." Leaf gasped. Ash was tired beyond belief. Who know Leaf was so skilled in such matters?
"Told you I'll hit spots if you gave me the chance…" Ash whispered hotly in her ear.
"We just hit fourth base not a month into our relationship," Leaf realized. "We took it way too fast didn't we?" She lamented. Ash rubbed her belly lazily.
"Well, we did and there's no use regretting it now." Ash told her.
"We are fifteen and sent to survive in such a dangerous world with inexperienced Pokémon, with no one to guide us or protect us, and we're supposed to be completely responsible teenagers," Leaf scoffed.
"This was to be expected," Ash added. "Didn't our parents have us during late teenage years?"
"Mom had me when she was nineteen." Leaf stated. "Delia had you when she was seventeen."
"That's quite early…" Ash mumbled.
"Both were trainers," Leaf added. "Bottom line, not our fault."
"Yeah," Ash said, enjoying the close proximity with Leaf's hot naked body. "Sometimes, it's okay to be irresponsible."
"Hmm," Leaf mumbled, feeling exhaustion crawl up to her. Ash felt a foreign presence leave his mind as he collapsed into sleep.

"Here we go," Ash commented, adjusting his cap. He stared at the large infrastructure made primarily of marble. It exhibited coldness and emptiness, something that left Ash, Luna, and even Luna queasy.
"Nervous?" Leaf asked, squeezing his gloved hand for support. Ash nodded. "You shouldn't be, you're gonna wreck her apart."
"Let's see," Ash looked at Luna whose gem flashed in his support. "Ready girl for the toughest battle of our life?"
"You should ask Haunter and the others, I'm not participating." Luna pointed out.
"You simply could've said yes," Ash rolled his eyes. Luna stuck her tongue at him in response. "C'mon, let's get them." The trio entered into the gym, feeling even queasier.
"Welcome to the Saffron Gym," The receptionist, most probably a student of Sabrina, greeted. "Are you here for a Gym Battle?" Ash nodded.
"I am," Ash stepped forward. "Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town," Ash handed him his pokedex. The receptionist grabbed it and quickly registered him.
"Straight up and then left." Ash nodded and the trio picked up their pace. Reaching the door within seconds, Ash paused.
"Don't doubt yourself," Leaf told him. "Ash, you'll be fine." Ash nodded.
"I've prepared as much as I could and we're ready," Ash nodded. "C'mon," Ash raised his hand to grab the door handle when it twisted itself. "Huh?"
"Come inside," A feminine voice called. The door opened, leading to a large hall like area. White marble adorned the floor and audience stands, a large plain battlefield right in the center.
"There she is," Leaf mumbled, gesturing to the lone figure sitting atop a metallic throne.
"Take your position," She got up and levitated over to her Trainer Box, Ash taking a deep breath and walking into his own.
"Good luck Ashy," Leaf kissed him on the cheek and walked over to the stands, taking her seat. Luna jumped from Ash's shoulder to his feet, staring at Sabrina with uneasiness. Something about her scared her to no end. A trainee of Sabrina ran over, taking the role of the referee.
"The battle between the Gym Leader Sabrina and Challenger Ash Ketchum is about to begin! Each side will use four Pokémon, and only the challenger can substitute their Pokémon! The battle will be over when all four Pokémon of one trainer are defeated! Are both trainers ready?"
"Let's do it," Ash replied fixing his cap, demeanor serious. Luna besides him yipped in encouragement. Sabrina only gave a firm nod.
"Trainers, choose your Pokémon!" Ash grabbed Haunter's pokéball and threw it. A pokéball floated in the air and opened, releasing Sabrina's first choice.
"Haunter I Choose You!" The Gas Pokémon formed from the energy spooling outside his Pokéball, looking at his opponent with interest. The Human Shape Pokémon stared at him seductively, winking.
"A Jynx…" Leaf frowned. Sabrina didn't normally use Pokémon outside of her usual roster. But since Jynx was also part Psychic, it was to be expected.
"Haunter vs. Jynx! Battle begins!" The referee declared. Haunter immediately dove into the shadows, speeding around. Sabrina tilted her head slightly, and Jynx executed a variety of moves.
The ground lit up with Psychic Energy, and Haunter was forced outside of his Shadow Sneak, and forced to endure a full on Psyshock. As he reeled back from the hurt, his adversary activated a Light Screen, boosting her already formidable defenses. Ash furrowed his brows. Sabrina was commanding her Pokémon telepathically, something that was unexpected.
"Night Shade Haunter!" Ash ordered, not giving in yet. Haunter formed the attack and fired it off, only for Jynx to block it with Blizzard. "Now Toxic!"
Haunter rushed through the smoke, forming the toxic globe and throwing it on Jynx. Jynx formed a psychic barrier and let the Toxic splatter over her. Haunter felt himself freeze and squirmed.
Sabrina inclined her neck slightly and Jynx blasted Haunter with a powerful Psyshock. "Haunter!" Ash called out in worry. Haunter was a sitting duck as the Psychic held him in place and Psyshock continued to deal heavy damage.
Luna's tail flicked around in agitation as her teammate was blasted ruthlessly by Sabrina's Jynx. A part of her was in awe at the control Jynx exerted. It was flawless.
"Shadow Punch!" As Jynx paused to resume the next barrage of Psyshock, Haunter punched her with his priority boosted move. The brief moment was enough for Haunter to tear through the Psychic with Shadow Claw. "Shadow Barrage! Don't let her recover!"
Haunter formed and fired off tiny Shadow Balls, hitting Sabrina's first choice with renewed vigor. The Light Screen flickered, and Jynx blasted through the barrage with an Ice Beam.
Haunter was struck once again, and floated back hurt. "Gr…" Ash growled, realizing he was out of his league. "Haunter return for now!" Jynx's eyes glowed and a wave washed over the arena, faster than Haunter could be returned.
Haunter stared at Jynx with fear, knowing that he couldn't return to safety due to Mean Look. "Haunter, Night-" Both blinked as the roof above them glowed.
Haunter didn't have time to yell out in pain as the Future Sight struck him, and dealt heavy damage. "Haunter!" Sabrina lifted her chin slightly, and Jynx's eyes glowed.
Haunter's shocked form was lifted and pulled towards the Human Form Pokémon, frozen in the air. "Confuse Ray!" Haunter grinned mischievously and, using the closeness to his advantage, fired off the Confusing Ray into Jynx's face.
Jynx's eyes glowed as the Confuse Ray hit her. "Great! Now use- what?!" Ash yelled out in surprise as the Confuse Ray washed over Jynx to no use.
Sabrina snapped her fingers, and Jynx pulled the stunned Haunter close to her. She pressed her large lips against the Gas Pokémon, a fairy like glow enveloping the two.
"Haunter!" Ash called out in horror as his Ghost succumbed to Jynx's charm. "Destiny-" Jynx broke the kiss, the nearly drained Haunter looking at her weakly.
A strong Psyshock blasted him to Ash's side. Haunter hit the shield brutally and skidded down, out cold. "Haunter…"
"Haunter is unable to continue!" The referee declared. "Jynx wins! Challenger, choose your next Pokémon!" Ash returned Haunter, a little awed at the way Sabrina was controlling the field.
"Man, Sabrina is really strong." Leaf mumbled, fiddling with the end of her top nervously. "You can do it Ash!"
"We're not giving up yet girl," Ash told the stunned Luna. "I trust in you," Ash whispered to his pokéball. "Zeus, I choose you!" Ash's Electric Mouse appeared with a battle cry, cheeks sparking current.
"Pikachu vs. Jynx! Battle Begins!" Jynx immediately activated another Future Sight and boosted her defenses yet again.
"Swift Stun Zeus! Stay sharp!" Zeus burst into a bright Flash, rushing forward with the speed he was famous for. Sabrina's eyes flickered pink and Jynx gestured.
Zeus squealed in surprise as a Psychic Barrier slammed into him, throwing him off course. Ash's first capture quickly broke the Barrier with Iron Tail and unleashed another Flash.
Jynx fired off a very accurate Psyshock, nearly clipping Zeus. The Electric Mouse Pokémon darted to the side, dodging the first one. To their surprise, the Psyshock bended and struck him in the back, knocking him off his feet.
Jynx gestured again and a heavy Barrier fell from the air right onto Zeus making him cry out in pain. "Zeus!" Ash called out in alarm. Zeus struggled to breathe as the Barrier continued to crush him against the floor. "Discharge!"
Electric Current danced off the Electric Mouse and he unleashed the uncontrolled blast of electricity. Sabrina shifted her neck slightly and the Jynx unleashed a Blizzard.
"What?!" Ash exclaimed in surprise as Jynx controlled the Blizzard and surrounded Zeus in it, blocking the Discharge. "Break out of there with Take Down!"
Zeus struggled to his feet only for another heavier Barrier to stomp down on him. The air above Zeus shimmered and the Future Sight struck down as well. "Charge! Thunder Dance! Then Flash into Dig!"
Zeus's fur crackled as he let out a battle cry. His entire form lit up and a bolt of pure lightning erupted from him, disrupting the Blizzard, countering the Future Sight, and shattering the Barrier as well.
Smoke covered Zeus's tracks as he dug under, erupting behind Jynx with a Thunder Tail. Jynx was unprepared due to the suddenness of the attack, and was struck on her neck.
"Yes!" Ash cheered.
That was short lived.
It turned out that Zeus was the one unprepared as the Jynx; or rather her substitute, shattered and the real Jynx surrounded Zeus in a cubicle of barriers.
Sabrina inclined her neck and the cubicle began to collapse on itself. "Zeus!" Ash called out in horror. Mean Look was activated again. "Get out of there! Thunder Tail!"
Zeus slammed his electrified tail into one of the barrier to no use. He slammed it repeatedly but not even a single crack showed itself. "Oh no…" Luna looked on in horror at the command Jynx had over her powers.
She was way too experienced. A little too experienced for their level. "We bit more than we could chew," Luna realized.
"Ash…" Leaf murmured as her boyfriend struggled to gain a footing in the battle. Sabrina had him cornered on all fronts!
"Discharge Zeus!" Ash called out futilely. Zeus gasped as the sharp corners of the Barrier began to press into him. His fur cackled and he unleashed a full powered Discharge.
It failed to do anything to the cubicle, however, and Zeus grimaced as his own fur began to get charred from the deflected electricity. "Concentrate Thunderbolt at one point!"
Zeus stopped his Discharge and tried to focus. Sabrina tilted her neck and Jynx's eyes glowed. The barrier began to shake violently and unpredictably, rocking Zeus with it. "Zeus!"
"Drain him…" Sabrina made her first verbal command of the battle. Her voice left Ash, Leaf, and even Luna's blood go cold. It was so… cold, ruthless, lifeless. Ash wondered just what he had gotten himself into.
The Barriers illuminated, and Zeus let out strangled gasps as the ever tightening cubicle began to suck his energy out from him painfully. Luna felt her heart ache at the pain Zeus was having to suffer.
"Stop tightening the barriers already!" Leaf called out from the stands. "Just end the match! Why are you hurting him so much?!" Sabrina didn't reply, other than ordering Jynx to tighten it even further.
Cracking sounds rang out from Zeus as the Barrier got too tight for him. He let out squeals of pain as his body began to press in on itself. "Zeus!" Ash hollered.
Blood dripped down his mouth due to the constriction, and he finally collapsed in the cubicle. Jynx shattered the cubicle, and let Zeus fall freely. He hit the ground unmoving and out cold.
"Oh no…" Leaf gasped at the condition he was in. Zeus was in a very bad shape. His body was bent at odd angles, his fur was charred at some places, and blood trickled from his mouth as well as his sides where the cubicle had dug into him.
"Pikachu is unable to continue! Jynx Wins! Challenger choose your next Pokémon!" Even the referee was feeling scared of Sabrina. Ash returned Zeus silently, still reeling from the one sided match.
"It's over…" Leaf mumbled already knowing predicting the end results.
"…I'm scared." Luna admitted in his mind.
"Me too…" Ash mumbled back. "But I'm not giving up just yet. I'm not going to let Haunter and Zeus's efforts go in vain! We made it this far, we'll see it to the end too! Oceanus I choose you!"
Ash's Seadra came out triumphantly, making a triumphant sound, balancing on his rubber. It was a nifty trick other Seadra and Kingdra had taught him back at Professor Oak's. Sabrina stared at the Water Type stoically face betraying none of her emotions.
"Jynx vs. Seadra! Let the battle begin!" The referee declared.
"Smokescreen! Then Rain Dance!" Oceanus quickly unleashed the thick smoke, shrouding himself within. Jynx's eyes glowed and the smoke dispersed within moments, leaving the Seadra exposed.
The Rain Dance was successful, and it began to rain on the two contestants. Oceanus let out a roar, feeling refreshed.
"Hydro Pump!" Ash made a punching motion. Oceanus inhaled and spat out a large torrent of water towards Jynx. Sabrina twisted her neck slightly and the water was split into two separate streams, Jynx at the splitting point, unharmed. "What?!"
The Hydro Pump ended to show the Psycho Cut that did the deed. "Don't give up! Bubble Beam!" Oceanus fired off the bubbles with vigor, each bubble having boosted damage.
"Perish Song," Sabrina made her first vocal command. As the Bubble Beam hit Jynx, she opened her mouth and began to sing a horrible, gut wrenching song.
"Twister! Stop her!" Ash ordered desperately. Perish Song was a telltale defeat for both of them. What was worse, Mean Look was activated. Sabrina was too strong for him to defeat at the current level.
Oceanus formed the Twister of draconic energy, throwing it at Jynx. The rain only made it stronger. Jynx was hit and swallowed inside the vicious storm, being battered from all sides.
Oceanus gasped suddenly, the Twister faltering. The color from Ash's face drained at that. "Oh no," He realized. Jynx grabbed Oceanus and pulled him towards her, grinning evilly. "Oceanus! Hydro Pump!"
"Attract," Sabrina ordered. Ash's face paled even further as Jynx winked and pink hearts floated over to Oceanus.
"N-no," Ash gasped as his Dragon Pokémon was infatuated with the Human Form Pokémon. The Perish Song hit again, and both Pokémon cringed.
"Sweet Kiss," Jynx pressed her lips against Oceanus, much to the poor infatuated pseudo dragon's delight. Ash watched on in horror as his third choice was persuaded into sleep, and he did so with pride.
"You had all that up your sleeve yet you chose Perish Song?" Ash asked in astonishment. Sabrina didn't reply grinning as Jynx formed a sphere of raw destructive energy.
"Hyper Beam," Ash quietly raised his pokéball as Oceanus was blasted to Ash's side. The final Perish Song note hit and Jynx succumbed to the spell. Oceanus was already down so it didn't matter.
"Oh my…" Leaf pursed her voice as she looked at the shattered confidence on Ash's face. "Ash…"
"You're toying with me since the beginning, are you not?" Ash asked, voice quivering. Sabrina returned her Jynx and grabbed another pokéball. "Answer me!"
"Yes." Sabrina replied simply.
"Why?" Ash asked in a low tone.
"Because it amuses me," Sabrina smiled. "Entertain me some more, and use your Servine, Lairon, and Espeon." Luna growled. "Maybe then you'll present a threat. I'll even give you the Marsh Badge if you succeed in taking down my one Pokémon."
"I-" Ash clenched his fists tightly. "I forfeit." Sabrina's eyes glowed and the door behind Ash was sealed shut.
"Not an option," Sabrina's eyes radiated with raw psychic energy. "Now, finish what you started or else…"
"You can do it Ash!" Leaf supported him. "Destroy her ego! Show her you're not an average run of the mill trainer!"
"Oh he is," Sabrina grinned. "He just hasn't realized it yet." Luna growled, jumping into the battlefield and snarling at her. "So you accept."
"Here goes nothing!" Ash grabbed the pokéball and a dusk ball on his belt, throwing it. "Viper, Lairon I choose you two!" The Grass Snake Pokémon and the Iron Armor Pokémon were released besides Luna, looking a little confused.
"No holding back guys!" Ash told them. Sabrina's eyes glowed and an Alakazam teleported to the field, staring at the trio with eyes flowing with power and wisdom.
"A-Alakazam vs. Espeon, Servine, and Lairon! Final battle! Battle Begins!" The referee stammered. Alakazam's eyes shimmered and a Psychic Strain made all three of Ash's Pokémon gasp in pain.
"W-what is that?!" Luna yelped. Viper growled and formed a Leaf Shield, directing it towards Alakazam. The Psi Pokémon easily redirected it towards Lairon who boosted his defenses with Iron Defense.
"Luna!" Luna fired off a couple of Shadow Balls and managed to cancel the Leaf Shield. Viper leapt forwards, tail sharpened into a Leaf Blade. Alakazam parried her with a Psychic blade, throwing her back and striking again. "Viper!"
The Grass Snake gasped as the psychic blade cut into her belly and delivered a deep gash. She hit the ground, stumbling to a stop. "Viper!" Luna tried Psychic but Alakazam easily overpowered her and made her reel back in pain.
"Lairon! Rocky Terrain! Now!" Lairon raised his front legs and slammed them down, sharp rocks jutting out. He made an extra thick layer for him and his teammates, growling. "Luna! Shadow Balls back to back! Lairon! Rock Slide! Viper, get behind cover!"
Alakazam blinked and a Future Sight descended from above, dropping down on the three and exploding. Ash gritted his teeth at that. 'Future Sight is a real pain!' He thought.
"Lairon!" Ash gasped as he saw his Iron Armor Pokémon stumble off Viper and Luna. His armor was dented and pebbles on it signified the use of Shield.
The Future Sight had wiped out the entire Rocky Terrain, leveling the ground back to ground up. Luna got up, gem lighting up and forming a Shadow Ball.
Viper's tail elongated into a Leaf Blade and she activated Overgrow as well. Lairon regained his footing, Iron Defensing himself and preparing for a stampede.
"Now!" Luna yelled and fired off a multitude of Shadow Balls. Alakazam willed them to implode onto themselves and quickly parried Viper's Leaf Blade with his own psychic blade. Lairon rushed in blindly with Iron Head.
Alakazam stopped him with Psychic, freezing him in his path, and focused on Luna. The Sun Pokémon felt Alakazam invade her mind and struggled to throw up defenses and push him out.
Viper ducked under his Psychic Blade, jumping straight at him. Alakazam formed another blade and parried her attack, his first blade swooping from behind and cutting deep into her side. Viper gasped at the sensation and was unable to stop the second one from stabbing right into her yellow crest. A third one protruded from her behind and dug into her back.
Lairon roared and unleashed a Metal Sound which Alakazam easily blocked. He gestured below and the ground underneath his foe cracked, Lairon falling through.
"Lairon! Luna! Viper!" Ash called out. "Luna! What's happening?!"
"He's trying to… mind r-r-ra-" Luna's telepathy stammered as she redirected her focus back to fighting Alakazam. Ash's eyes widened. He had read about it in a book before!
A Psychic Type Pokémon's mind was its most precious and strongest part. The only way to permanently hinder one was to attack and destroy one's mind. Once the mind is crippled, it would be very hard to recover from that.
Alakazam was trying to accomplish just that.
Viper felt another sword impale her as she stumbled to a stop. Overgrow switched off and she swayed around in pain. Her entire body was littered with deep gashes and cuts, and the recent one had just cut into her chest mere millimeters away from her heart.
She stood completely still, as Alakazam twisted his sword and tormented her already destroyed body. Alakazam pulled his blade out, letting her collapse down on her knees.
"Take her out," Sabrina commanded. Alakazam did as she asked, grabbing her form with Psychic and lifting it in the air. "Look, Ketchum, look how weak you are!"
"N-no," Ash gasped, tears forming at the corner of his eyes. The Grass Snake let out a silent scream as Alakazam blasted Viper with unprecedented psychic energy. The Grass Snake was quickly returned by Ash lest her get killed.
"Return him too!" Lairon was teleported in front of Ash, completely damaged and hurt. It was like the Earth itself had collapsed on him, which it had. Ash quietly returned him too, grabbing Luna's pokéball.
Alakazam formed a thick barrier, preventing the pokéball's laser from hitting Luna. "I forfeit! You win! Stop it now!" Ash called out, tears cascading down his cheeks.
"No," Sabrina replied simply. "This battle will end only when I so desire." Luna let out a gasp as Alakazam broke through her with sheer force and invaded her mind.
"Oh my God…" Leaf whispered. "Ash…" She called with shaky hands as Ash stared on helplessly. "She's worse than Spiritomb…"
'You hadn't seen his complete strength. He wasn't even at half of his power. But yes, this lady is indeed much worse than him.' Misdreavus commented.
Luna's legs trembled as Alakazam ripped apart her mind, mind razing her (as she so aptly put). Alakazam delved into her darkest desires, her largest secrets, her every memory, and scrambled them all. Luna stood there, mouth slightly open as Alakazam toyed with her.
"I never should've came here…" Ash whimpered. "I never should've thought that I would be able to beat you…"
"You should've realized that way before," Sabrina grinned. "But now, your Pokémon had to pay for everything." She looked at Luna. "Look at her, first destroyed by the Forbidden One and tainted. And now, by Alakazam."
"For every mistake you make, your Pokémon pay." Sabrina continued. "The Hidden Village, Rock Tunnel, Lavender Tower, Saffron City, the list will continue forever."
"Because you don't learn. You don't care what happens to your fellow travelers as long as you get what you desire. You lost Cynthia because she split with you, your friend Leaf lost half of her team because you chose to battle the Forbidden One instead of returning with her back, and now you'll lose your Luna because you underestimated us."
"You'll lose everything and everyone, because you don't deserve them. It's better for you to just quit Ash, quit." Luna's pained cry rang across the field.
Ash stood there frozen, wondering just what to do. Luna yelled again as Alakazam fired a Psyshock into her back, burning deep. "Alakazam, toy with her."
"Ash!" Leaf yelled. "Ash! Snap out of it!" Ash didn't respond, looking at the ground with tearful eyes. "Luna needs you Ash! C'mon!" Luna screamed as tiny little psychic needles punctured her skin. "ASH!"
Sabrina laughed evilly, looking at her victim with amusement. "Break her," Alakazam did as she ordered, focusing. Luna couldn't even cry in pain as her limbs began to twist at unnatural angles.
Alakazam formed a large heavy psychic barrier and, holding Luna in place, dropped it down. Sick cracks were heard as Luna was stomped on with the barrier.
"Stop it," Ash whimpered. "Stop it, stop it!" Ash yelled as his starter was drowned with psychic energy. "I forfeit her! Stop it!"
"Beg." Sabrina said. Luna was lifted off the ground, bloodied and defeated, and Alakazam stabbed a Psychic Blade into her gut. She screamed in pure pain as Alakazam tormented and tortured her.
"Please, I beg you! Stop it!" Ash fell down on his knees, groveling in the dirt. "She doesn't deserve it! I do! Don't hurt her!"
"A-ash… d-don't-" Luna was blasted to Ash's portion of the field, skidding to a stop. Ash tried to reach her only for a psychic barrier to stop him.
Alakazam teleported over Luna and grabbed her by the cheek. He tapped his spoon on her gem, and Luna seized up. "No…" Ash gasped. "Luna! NO!"
"Alakazam, stop." Alakazam paused and teleported back to Sabrina's side. Luna fell down, out cold and barely breathing. "You live this time Ketchum. Your entire team does. They have survived by the skin of their teeth today. Return one day and I'll make sure they don't."
"Gym Leader S-S-Sabrina wins!" The referee declared. He bowed down respectfully before running away. The psychic barriers dropped, and the door behind them opened.
"Leave." Sabrina commanded teleporting away. Ash grabbed Luna's body with trembling hands and began to cry.
"Ash! Ash!" Leaf ran over to his side, crouching near him and hugging her boyfriend's face tightly. "Oh my…" She began to cry as well, caressing his hair gently.
"Hey, hey Ash. All of them need urgent medical attention! C'mon!" She urged him to get up. Ash didn't respond, continuing to weep. "Ash! C'mon!" She grabbed Ash's face and kissed him with all of her emotion and love.
Ash froze, not responding to the kiss. Leaf didn't break the kiss until she was out of breath. "Pokémon Center, now." She told Ash. Ash blinked before nodding, and recalled Luna to her pokéball.
"I quit."

And that's the end of this chapter! Quite a shocker one I assume! Anyways, read and review! The next chapter I hope to upload within January 2022 but if I fail, do know that I tried.
Do read and review! With colleges restarting and with me working on other things as well, time is on a crunch. But I'll try to update Conqueror every one or so week! Just keep reviewing and giving me feedback as show of support so I can feel motivated to keep working on!
Till then, see you guys!
