The year was 2048A.P.

On a world known as Beyondard on the only known continent Pangaea, there was a location that belonged to over two hundred different people as their home. Located close to a mighty steel fortress that was shaped like a lion, resided the Hero Base.

This was their sixth home. Fifth named as such. They were driven away from Earth X, Gaia X, Mute and abandoned the Zebes location due to being a temporary location. Their sixth home was the Wily Fortress, which continues to be rebuilt after an old program codenamed 'Final Light', took out a majority of it over a year ago.

Around the Hero Base was dried brown grass, the ground orange and slightly cracked. Close by was an obvious sign of the out of control biome differences on this drastic world, as there laid a massive pine forest, complete with grass bushes and flowers, the very edge of it standing out as the brown dead grass showed it's border.

It was a world that also undergone a state of war recently, brought to a close by the intervention of those in the Hero Base who created a truce and neutral ground for all parties, then eventually brought them together to form an alliance to restore Beyondard back to the days before.

The world was quickly becoming known for it's unusual development of species, as it carried numerous from across the stars, as well as replica of people that existed in the Universe.

It's a world that exists within itself, rarely if ever contacting the Universe beyond it, each Universe holding one as it was unique, often hidden away ordered by Azrael to see how the species will interact and used by deities for numerous purposes.

As the wind blew across the land, the base was lit up, the lights glowing brightly like a beacon to anyone within several miles. The stars littered the sky, and between were two moons. Lux and Umbra.

Within the base a certain Navi was walking the blue carpeted hallways, the walls a dim yellow colour with small white lights attached to them as the ceiling was not like the previous bases, above was completely glass allowing anyone to walk the corridors or rest within the main room see the world outside.

The Navi soon found herself stopping outside one of the doors here, which were a silver colour to stand out from the wall and held the names of the occupants. This one was labelled at her height:

Chad Oswald.

Normally she would idly wonder if her brother, who now runs this place with Lan Light, should add her name to that plaque. She spends far more time here than her own room.

But recently something else had troubled her, beyond her odd nightmares of...someone else.

She had been discussing it with Darkmega, Medi and Iris, but was called by Chad to come and see him.

She gently placed her hand covered by her reddish pink glove over her belly for a few moments before trying to forget about it, using that same hand now to knock on the door.

"Come in, it's open." The voice of her lover answered within.

She made sure she was smiling, not wanting to show any signs of worry or concerns. His had it hard enough recently and didn't need to get concerned over her.

She opened the door.

The rooms here were more spacious than previous. The bases before were built for a population of 600 plus, this one was built on the acceptance that such a number would never be achieved and those here needed more room for themselves, the once bedrooms if they were on any other planet were now small apartments on Beyondard.

They had a good sized kitchen to themselves, a larger bedroom and bathroom and a private room to add whatever they wanted. A living room, training room, gaming, it didn't matter. Some even made them into meditation rooms and even a hot tub area in the case of Medi.

The bedroom remained the first room people see when they walk in, but beyond the red bed and dull green carpet in here, through the door frame to the kitchen, the Navi could see reddish candlelight.

She walked through the dark bedroom and looked into the kitchen.

All over the Kitchen were numerous candles put in place. Deep red wax and emitting the wonderus red lighting she was seeing. Some were on the small sets of drawers he had around here, some were on the metal kitchen side, near the sink and the black oven as well as a couple on the black fridge and freezer. She recognized the candles from the shops of Mute, numerous colours could be emitted from them depending on the colour you chose. She just never knew he bought any.

The light was gently bouncing off the light brown wood panelled flooring of this room, as well as the beautiful polished chocolate coloured circular table and wooden chairs. On the table was silverware, plates and two beautifully shaped wine glasses with heart patterns embedded on the stand, filled with red wine. On the plates was a fine cut steak, textured with a dry mixture rub before cooking, with blue potatoes slices clearly roasted in the oven along with small carrots, and green tomatoes and spherical mushrooms that had been sliced in half and grilled to give a gentle charred texture.

And there he was, standing besides one of the chairs. Chad Oswald. His blue eyes remained prominent in the candlelight, still wearing as always a set his red shirt, blue denim trousers, brown shoes and black jacket. Though this time it was clear he had at least made his hair extra neat for this occasion, and she could faintly smell a flowery aroma from him. "Hey."

She just stared at it all, awestruck. She has never had this kind've thing prepared for her to see in her lifetime. "W-wow Chad. I, I mean just...wow..."

Chad could only smile at that reaction, a feeling a little relieved it was clear she liked the view. "Thought you might like it. Just thought we should have a nice dinner, and if there's anything worth doing, it's worth making it over the top...especially for you."

Standing there was Roll. Her crest symbol on her chest was long since gone. Her actual chest had become a moderate size by her choosing when she finally got tired of being insecure about her body towards Chad. Beyond that she hadn't changed much throughout the years...the mental side of things though…

Chad knew. He had been there throughout. Her loves before him turning on her, one in particular hurting her in numerous constant ways to the point it was clear she struggled to cope with the thoughts of him. Granted she managed to fight back when an actual psychical manifestation appeared before her, but it remains an issue.

She had gone from being a Navi to knowing she was human before, has a family now has been whittled down to a few after the deaths of Regal, Yuriko, Zero, Forte and Albert, found out she carried lethal programs in her system and carried a very special gift that she shared with Chad, and Chad alone.

Her eyes were showing the candlelight reflecting in them a little, mixing with the green colour of her Iris'. Her metal hair dimly lit and her antennas glowing slightly within the gentle lighting here as she made her way over to him, with him motioning to sit down before gently pushing her in towards the table. "Oh Chad, you, really didn't have to do this for me..." in her mind she simply thought to herself, trying to avoid getting overly exciting by this new experience 'This is more wonderful then ANY date before...'

Chad made his way over to the chair opposite her and sat himself down before looking at her again, that smile remaining on his face. "No you're right. I didn't have to...I WANTED to."

She really felt herself feel special right now. He was making her the focus. "Thank you."

With that, she began to eat, with him following suit. She sliced a small bit of the steak and gave it a chew before swallowing...Medium. It was exactly how she liked it. "Mm, this is really good."

Chad gave a little chuckle after swallowing down a slice of his own steak. "Heh, thanks. I was lucky to remember more of my Beyondard life lately and in that was memories on how to cook."

Roll gave a little laugh herself on hearing that. "At least you know how to cook out of us two."

Boy was she glad on finding this out. Despite being a Navi she had difficulties focusing when it came to food being prepared and boy howdy it showed on several occasions. She even tried three times to make him a dinner date and she knew he was being kind on the state of the food at each attempt.

As they slowly got through the meal Roll stopped for a moment, taking a sip of her wine which was very sweet, right to her taste before asking "Well, how had Lacus and Lucy been today? Darkmega told me that you went to see them."

Chad very, very briefly appeared puzzled before he remembered something. The diversion to make her stay away for a while as he prepared all this. "Huh? OH, oh yeah they're good." He cursed himself 'Damnit even I forgot about my excuse!'

Roll started cutting the next piece of her steak. "That's nice to know. You should of seen Trill in the pool earlier. He was real cute trying to swim with Darkmegas and Blue's help. Then Iris' when Darkmega got pulled away by Medi."

"I bet."

There was a small moment of silence between them again, before Roll showed she was clearly thinking about something. "...It's been different, these past 2 weeks. Times really been, well, it's not been so fast as it once was. It's like without evil, things are going slower..." She looked up at his ceiling for a moment, watching the light from the collection of candles dance around.

Chad understood what she meant. No evil forces trying to target them anymore, no constant threats. Everything had come to a stop for him and those of the Hero Base at the height of Broly and The First. Now they're gone it's all settled. "That's good though really, means more time together."

"Yeah..." Roll soon focused back on the meal, not wishing for it to turn cold after all the effort Chad took for this. "So anyway, Lan's been causing trouble again. This time with the base defence system. Brother's been in a foul mood. From what I gathered Lan screwed it up so much that a defence cannon appeared in brothers room when he was just starting to make out with Faith."

Chad could picture it now. "That...kind've sounds hilarious though."

"It was for a few people since Dr Rich decided to run to the labs naked yelling and swearing, since the cannon appeared right under his feet...Well Medi said naked, but that could mean with or without pants on."

Chad was picturing the latter of the two and had to stop himself laughing, taking a moment before continuing to eat.

"And Griffon had an awful time too. This was yesterday from what Medi had said. As her and Darkmega was leaving the pool Anna arrived with Griffon and ordered him to 'Float in the water like a rubber dingy so she can relax.' You can guess he wasn't too pleased."

Chad now laughed. Oh how the mighty had fallen. Griffon the once proud summon to Zuo Ci, handed over to Anna to protect her and this is how his going to be used from here on out. Soon Chad managed to ease his laughing as Roll was was chuckling along with him. "Heh, yeah..."

Without knowing, he was now staring at her. She soon stopped chuckling and stared back her face turning a little pink on the cheeks before she returned to the meal.

They remained in silence as they finished it off. Chad only sipping on the wine a little before leaving it alone, and Roll finishing hers off, having been taking small bits of it throughout her meal. Both set their cutlery down and Roll cleaned her lips with the Red napkins Chad had set up near the plates, with him doing the same. "Mmm, now, that was real good. It's a lot better then the food you get at Twinkle Park."

That was quite the high compliment. The top rated restaurant there, 'Destiny Intertwined' was something Roll loved when the people of the base visited there. "Thanks. Really glad you enjoyed it."

They both once again locked eyes. Chad could tell that while she was enjoying this, she was also a little uncomfortable to this kind've treatment. "...Thanks...You really didn't need to make me dinner..."

"I know. But I wanted to."

There was a faint wooshing sound all around them. Roll had failed to acknowledge it as her focus was on him for a time, then looking down at the plates and wine glasses. "Well the least I can do then is wash up the plates..."

Chad smirked, leaning back a little in his chair, arm over the back support and one leg over the other. "Oh we'll sort that out later. Firstly something else to do."

"Hm?" That hooked her interest, clearly surprised there was something else. The lack of dates going anywhere with the previous love interests showing. "You, got something else in mind?"

Chad used motioned around them with his other hand. "Already happened one minute ago. I was expecting you to notice when I done the teleportation. Glad to see you didn't though."

Roll quickly looked around, only now acknowledging the lack of candlelight, replaced by the blue and green coloured glow from something far above.

The aurora of Wu Zhang Plains, they were on a hill, the grass flowing at their feet as the wind gently passed through, the stars glittering across the sky like gems in sunlight.

They were now there. The table, plates, glasses and chairs had come with them as Chad sent them here. And it was clear he was very impressed with himself as she continued to glance around. The air was warm, welcoming. "Chad...you do know how to surprise people, don't you?"

He gave an innocent shrug. "I try."

"But, why come here? Do you like looking up at the stars with me?"

"Well, this pretty much has been our place of love almost all the time."

She nodded at that. It has been. It was always their little haven away from things, and especially a close place to her heart now as a few weeks ago they…

She gave him an appreciative smile as she moved her hands over the table and held onto his, giving them a gentle squeeze. "Yeah...It has, hasn't it? Thank you Chad, again...for just doing this."

Chad felt their connection, the warm feeling within him. It all felt right. "No problem." He now knew what he wanted from this.

As Roll let go of his hands and focused on the stars above, Chad quietly moved himself out of his chair and over towards her, staying beside her before she noticed he had moved. "OH! Chad, when did you-"

Chad quickly interrupted her, as this moment had been repeating in his head for the whole day. He wanted to get this right. "Just now. Okay. I know, I'm not very good with words but...here goes."

Chad seemed to take a moment, a few deep breathes closing his eyes. It was beginning to worry her. What was it he wanted to say? "Chad? What is it?" She was fearing a lot of negative outcomes to this. Was this a planned last meal between them? Maybe he felt it wasn't working afterall?

Chad finally felt himself ready. He looked at her, her beautiful face and eyes covered in the beautiful glow of the aurora as she remained still in her chair. "Roll...I am, so glad you convinced me to give my love life a go again and go out with you. I know I haven't been the best at being there for you and everyone knows you've been there for me a lot, throughout my time here at the base. Everything you've done for me-" He gave a little sweet chuckle "-Including making me fall in love with you, has been great and I really do love you so much, I don't think any words I could say or gifts could show how much I do...but-"

He then went down on one knee, never letting his eyes leave hers as she followed him. "-I want to start being there for you as much as you have for me, and try and show you how much I love you...So..."

He placed his hands into a pocket in his trousers and pulled out a small silver box. Opening it towards her revealed a beautiful golden ring protected by padded silk, adorned with a beautiful glittering red diamond, shaped into the one of the Chaos Emeralds just being held in place by the gold wielded onto the tip.

"Roll...Will you marry me?"

Roll's mind came to a dead stop, her whole world ceased with the negative thoughts as the Navi Mobian was now before her offering her...this. "C...Chad..."

Tears were swelling up in her eyes, she was trying to hold them back as she realized he wanted this. He wanted her to stay with him. "Chad...You always been there for me, even in times where you felt you wasn't." She placed a shaky hand on her chest, her voice reflecting her body as she really didn't want to cry right now. "You were always in her heart. You was always in the background watching me, helping me. Going out with Shademan. With Richard...and even when Richard was after me, you was there, always..."

She choked a little, the tears beginning to escape her attempts as she finally gave him the answer, staring at the ring, and then at the love of her life. "Yes. Yes Chad Oswald. I will marry you."

Chad felt his heart skip a beat, before it started to bounce with joy inside of him. She said yes. He placed the box down for a moment and gently took her hand away from her chest and started to remove the glove to reveal her bare fingers, to allow him to place the ring on them.

As he was, she gave a little weak giggle, wiping a few of the tears aside with her other hand from her face before saying "It's not like it's a good idea to bring up a child as boyfriend and girlfriend anyway..."

Chad had took the ring out of it's box and was sliding it up one of her fingers when he came to a stop himself, looking right at her. "W...Wha?"

Roll stood up from the chair and moved other besides him, getting on her knees and looking at the ring he had placed on her naked hand, before focusing on him again. She knew she had to tell him what's been plaguing her mind lately. "Remember that night? Two weeks ago? Here?" Motioning her head a little towards Wu Zhang Plains.

Chad gave a brief goofy smile. "Hard to forget."

"Well, in the afternoon the day after I was feeling odd. Within a week, I told my brother and he checked. It was on the day of the funeral that he confirmed it...Chad..." Her tears were quickly coming back. "I'm pregnant. He said the development is going by human standards, not Navi."

He remembered his Father's funeral well enough. He had to admit it seemed odd for Roll to leave his side with her brother for so long once the funeral ended, and know he knew, and couldn't help but be overjoyed with this. "Well then 'Mrs Oswald', you've got a great husband and eventually we'll have a great kid. Looks like you lucked out incredibly."

She was laughing, and crying, hugging him with her head resting on his shoulder. Her life was taking a wonderful turn that she never expected it could ever go, and it was with the man she found true love with. "I love you, so much, my love..."

Chad held her close. Nothing could ruin this now. "I love you so much too..."

...He smiled, chuckling a little at the recall of that day.

"And yet...It wasn't enough was it? I tried everything I could. But eventually things caught up with you. The damage never went away, the nightmares never ended...I couldn't save you in the long run..."

Chad was standing there, with a blue sky above, the sunlight shining down on him as he looked on.

"He never went away. He kept haunting you. Trapping you in nightmares that seemed mild but as time went on, became worse and worse...and now here we are. I know you wouldn't want me recalling this. But I can't help it. The pain hasn't stopped."

He heard footsteps.

Walking up besides him was Lucy Valentine. She was clearly older, with age showing slightly on her face, wearing a long blue dress and carrying a bouquet of red roses. She handed them to Chad, showing a golden wedding ring on her finger. "Sweetheart. I made sure they were the best ones I could get...How is she?"

Chad himself appeared to have a small silver streak in his hair now, carrying the blade of darkness on his back, the outline of a goatee on his face from being unshaven for a day. "I still feel it a little. A distance calling...I know she's in the Farplanes. She's at peace but..."

Lucy gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know...Come on. Albert will soon be out of school. Yuriko and Trill have gone round Samus' place and Lacus can't go and get her brother because she's promised a date with her boyfriend." She was trying to get him to step away. She knew being here hurt him.

Chad accepted it. He bent down, placing the bouquet on the ground. He touched the metal plaque before him, elevated on a small golden pedestal before he stood once more, allowing Lucy to place her arm around his as they began to turn and walk away.

The plaque said:

'Here rests Roll Oswald

2028A.P – 2062A.P

Much beloved Wife and Mother who will be missed by all who knew her.'

Besides it was another Plaque, empty and waiting for someone.

The graveyard was within the Capital of the planet Beyondard, known as Arisu.

Others around her included Kei Yuki and Dark Rich (2024A.P – 2049A.P and 2045A.P – 2049A.P) Yuan Shao (2003A.P – 2052A.P) Anna Hael (2028A.P – 2051A.P) Albert Oswald (2006A.P – 2048A.P) Light Rich (2045A.P – 2064A.P) and finally Colonel Oswald (2025A.P – 2055A.P).

As Chad was walking away, he glanced back at her grave. There was the space for him, to the left of was one for Lucy, to the right for Iris…

He paused for a second, shock written on his face as Lucy stopped and looked at him. "Chad?"

Standing at Roll's grave, facing his direction...was an outline of someone he hadn't seen for years. The twelve claws on its back, the figure itself...but it was completely a dark purple...one glowing eye looking right at him.

Chad yanked his arm away from Lucy, his heart racing grabbing the hilt of his sword and spun around to face the monster…

But it was gone.

Last year he came here he was sure he saw that figure before, in the distance, watching. He thought he was being delusional, that the loss of his first wife and the why of it effecting him after a year of trying to move on.

This time though, that looked far too real.

Lucy was trying to get his attention. "Chad, Chad what is it!?"

...He couldn't answer her. If he acknowledges he exists...then Roll's begging to get away from Beyondard, from everyone…

Chad calmed himself, slowly but surely. He placed the weapon back in it's casing. "I...I thought I saw something. A monster or, something. I don't know...I'm alright Lucy." He gave her a weak smile. "Let's, let's just go."

It's been 16 years after the event known as the 'Oswald Conflict' had occurred.

In 2043A.P five major galaxies were under the control of the Galactic Federation, with fifteen Ministers and the Grand Commander Keaton Al'Keriff commanding it. During this year the threat of a Navi named Darkmega occurred on Earth X, a major scientific focused world in the Federation.

Thanks to the ineffective tactics of the Ministers for two years, Keaton chose to act and using the severe failure of their command to allow him to crush Darkmega, wanted them to place him as emperor to gain total control of the Federation. Knowing he could have taken other options to remove them, they agree on finally allowing him to step into that position.

Around the time that he was officially made Emperor, Darkmega had been defeated by the people of the place known as the Hero Base, and eventually convinced to join them in a change of heart, due to a greater evil lurking in the shadows.

Unicron.

With his hunger he attacked several major populated worlds of the Galactic Federation, causing severe loss of life and fear to spread. Keaton was slow on the response, refusing any aid from the nearby powerful factions of the United Federation of Planets and the Galactic Empire. Choosing instead to focus on the people of the Hero Base as he discovers two of them, the dark soul of Richard Wily and Darkmega, had summoned Unicron in the first place during the two year disruption.

Thanks to the boy known as Chad Oswald, Keaton is killed whilst attempting to execute others of the Base for allowing Unicron to come, believing a public act like this would help his standing.

With the death of Keaton though, Chad is placed in the spotlight along with the Hero Base, being blamed for the further loss of command and the ever looming threat of Unicron. Many ships attempt to attack Unicron but with a lack of coordination suffer losses.

The Ministers are soon placed back in power and promote the ambitious Rufus Shinra, who had shown potential under Keaton Al'Keriff. He in turn removes them in a more violent manner. Six of the inner group die, as well as leaders of the outer regions. Mickey's domain, the Protoss domain and the Wisdom Saiyan domain is forced to fully integrate with the Galactic Federation at the death of their leaders. The remaining Ministers are forced to step down again for fear of execution, including the likes of Black Doom, Maleficent and Yuan Shao.

Whilst Rufus forms an uneasy truce with the United Federation of Planets and the Galactic Empire, it is soon brought to Chad Oswalds attention that Rufus, having noticed the tension of the other forces, wishes to use Unicron to make them stay in line. Chad confronts him and suffering a near death experience, Rufus chooses to abandon the idea to instead focus of using the alliance with other factions to defeat Unicron.

Whilst in the first major confrontation the Alliance is defeated, as Unicron approaches Gaia VII the Alliance makes another stand and with the Hero Base team including Chad and Darkmega, emerge victorious.

From here the play of power only became worse. The Hero Base people, given the opportunity to form their own faction in the coming days, urged by Chad and many others wish to keep a low profile in the grand scheme of things, decline the offer. And thanks to the intervention of deities and power Chad and Darkmega used, many who died in the Unicron conflict are restored, including Keaton Al'Keriff.

The Galactic Federation is quickly divided thanks to civil war, with Keaton demanding to be emperor again, backed by five of the six remaining Ministers. Yuan Shao, the sixth, chose to stand down from the position entirely thanks to the people of the Hero Base choosing to remain out of political affairs.

Rufus Shinra refuses Keaton's right of leadership and declares war forming the Shinra Federation. The alliance with the Federation of Planets and the Galactic Empire is dissolved as the conflict is widespread and hardly contained by Rufus as the GF hold the majority of the territory. The Galactic Empire even attacks both warring factions as there was no compensation for the major loss of force they had against Unicron from either.

When it's revealed Keaton intends to use Unicron, Chad and those of the base get mixed up once again, aiding the SF. A key battle occurs on Earth V where Keaton sends a large military force to aid Zhang Jiao of the Yellow Turbans, who he has convinced will be leader of the world after the war. The Han allows the SF and Hero Base to quell the assault and avoids joining in with the conflict.

With Chad taking to the field with Darkmega, Keaton is defeated, but the war ends in a stalemate on the planet. The GF and SF continue to wage a battle there after the heroes leave forcing the kingdoms to choose sides and partake in the war. During this time of uncertainty, Chaos, an old enemy of Chad Oswald appears on Earth X and is partially successful in reviving Unicron.

Chad and his allies soon take down Unicron, Keaton and even an old enemy of Primus, Diamas who was revealed to be a part of Unicron. Chaos is defeated and retreats and three of the Ministers die leaving the SF to ride the momentum and rapidly take worlds away from the failing Galactic Federation.

At this stage, the deities become more directly mixed into affairs, including three major ones known as Blind Io, Fate and Lady Luck. A power shift within them occurs when Fate is defeated in conflict with Chad Oswald, as is eventually Blind Io. Many other deities over the Oswald Conflict are killed leaving a weakened position of power for Lady Luck that she begins to repair.

In 2046A.P, as the Shinra Federation begins to stabilise it's position entirely, Rufus Shinra, suffering from a heart defect chose to try and focus on his conquest, and due to partaking in several battles including a Protoss rebellion, dies.

In the order of the Net Navi Colonel, Chaos who joins the SF during Colonels reign, Revolver Ocelot, Sun Jian who left the Hero Base due to their refusal to do anything political, all take over one after another. Causing disruptions once again within the territory, which all comes to a head when Chaos, along with a woman from a parallel universe named Devil Roll, complete a hostile takeover and change the Shinra Federation to the Chaos Empire. Sun Jian surrenders to them with minimal resistance.

Chad continues to be a primary focus along with the Hero Base, leading to them moving from world to world to survive whilst continuously defeating those that try to kill them. This leads to the death of Maleficent, the leader of the Villain Ministry creating a power shift for Black Doom, head of the Hero Ministry, who decides to act and play his own hand in the state of changing affairs, causing the Black Army to come to war.

In 2047A.P, the war continues between the Black Army and the Chaos Empire. The United Federation of Planets and the Galactic Empire avoid sending aid to the Chaos Empire as they deem it completely unreliable. The Hero Base settle on a planet known as Beyondard, controlled by three states: the Beasts of Gregar, the Beasts of Falzar and the Last Bastion.

Soon once again getting mixed into conflict, Chad and the others bring a decisive end to Black Doom and the Black Army, bringing a key victory for the Chaos Empire. They also resolved the conflict of the three states that controlled Beyondard by defeating the deity known as Gabriel, who was the puppet master in bringing about the conflict on the world. The three factions soon form a truce to help settle matters on that world.

Further chaos was created by a scientist known as Yuri Gargarin who caused misinformation and hostile attacks from the Federation of Planets and the Galactic Empire, damaging the Chaos Empire until it was halted by Chad and his companions, and Yuri was eventually subdued, passing a year later due to old age.

By the time of 2048A.P, the galaxies had suffered trillions of lives being lost, local conflicts on many worlds due to the Chaos Empire holding the position of power and continued unrest with it's neighbouring forces. As if to make matters worse, Broly, a terrifying figure of power, was teamed up with the deity Lu Bu, the evil side of Chad known as Angelus and The First, a powerful evil entity that dwelled within Chaos until he chose to break free to do the right thing for his Empire.

Chad was once again forced to take to the battlefield. Whilst Lu Bu was defeated by both Chad and Broly, Chad was unable to stop the Legendary Super Saiyan. It was Chaos that dealt the finishing blow, ending the remaining three villains by giving up his own life.

The Oswald Conflict ends, but the universe enters a new phase.

The Chaos Empire had lost its master. In 2049A.P, Devil Roll abandoned her post as Empress due to the unrest caused by her being in power and fled back to her universe. A vote is brought about and between the remaining high ranking members of the Chaos Empire, Sun Jian is appointed the Emperor, and swiftly renames the Chaos Empire to the Hero Empire, something he felt the Hero Base could've been if they tried.

By 2051A.P, Sun Jian quells many of the disrupted worlds within the territory that the previous ruling governments held through diplomatic reasoning and talks and even eased problems between his force and those of the United Federation and Galactic Empire. Some though still resisted, including his home planet Earth V, as the Han declared the Chaos Empire, now the Hero Empire, it's enemy, rallying the kingdoms to it's call and forcing the Wu kingdom which was Sun Jians home to flee the planet to integrate into the empire.

Yuan Shao and many officers who had left that world for the Hero Base returned to their planet to aid it. Anna Hael, a once close companion to Chad, joined her friend Yuan Shao in this endeavour.

She was one of the first to die in the bombardment Sun Jian led against his homeworld, and by 2052A.P, Earth V surrendered and the Han was disbanded along with all kingdoms on that world. Yuan Shao committed suicide when his three children were killed in the conflict, the last known person to hold the title of minister of the Galactic Federation.

Beyondard was one of the few known planets to be within the territory of the Hero Empire to remain it's own independent leadership. The truce between the states had blossomed into an alliance by this time, but it wasn't to last.

In 2055A.P, two of them, Beasts of Gregar and Beasts of Falzar had suddenly collapsed. All leaders of those factions has perished and their military and civil forces were wiped out, leaving a sudden vacuum of power for the Last Bastion, who had renamed themselves the Bastion of Hope.

Sun Jian offered aid in exchange for the planet to submit to his empire, but they as well as those of the Hero Base vehemently refused. They wished to remain independent and away from the conflicts of the Universe. It led to another conflict on the planet in 2056A.P to 2059A.P, as Sun Jian had led several invasion teams throughout the three years to try and force those on the planet to step down, seeing the world as a useful resource thanks to it's abundance of Phazon and Chaos energy.

Each time was met with devastating failure. This world was Chad's homeworld and he gladly stood to protect it, alone many times, against the Hero Empires forces. Each one was routed and suffered heavy casualties before Sun Jian called it off for a time and eventually tried again, only to get the same results.

He soon formed a cease fire with the planet, agreed by Chad as he was eager to focus on his own life. But the Hero Empire remained posed over the world, watching it and its guardian whilst Sun Jian tried to plan a way to beat Chad and take over the planet, now fixated on the world due to being the last to stand up to him in his territory.

This is how it remained for the last five years.

Now in 2064A.P, it would soon come to an end.

Sun Jian, the emperor of the Hero Empire who hasn't aged a day since his time in the Hero Base back 16 years ago, was standing in his office within Balamb Garden the fortified capital of his domain. There were dark grey clouds outside, the light of the sun barely coming through them to reach his location.

Wearing a fancy black suit, his hair gelled back, he was walking back and forth in front of his desk. He was tense. The next meeting was getting to him.

Sitting in four chairs before him were his close advisors on the affairs of his empire, all who had come from his world; Zhou Yu, his eldest son Sun Ce, Lu Xun and his son-in-law, Liu Bei.

They knew why he was unable to calm down. The next meeting coming up with the major officials was about the military presence around Beyondard.

For years Sun Jian has told them it is completely necessary that the planet be taken over. It's energy resource is beyond what most of their planets could ever provide and last for hundreds of years. He used the excuses that he was able to take over the world of the defunct Drakon Empire, able to expand the borders back to what they were prior to the civil war between the Galactic Federation and the Shinra Federation, and even drove out the army of heartless that went out of control once Devil Roll departed across dozens of worlds.

But those excuses were now becoming less useful. The people of his empire were growing tired of him focusing their resources on one world when there was plenty more elsewhere. There was more and more louder and intense voices within, convincing officials and governments on many worlds to speak their concerns to him. They wanted him to say something to calm things down.

It didn't help that recently Emperor Palpatine had passed in the Galactic Empire. Whilst he had chosen peace in respect of each others power position, his replacement, Gallius Rax was showing signs of aggression. Reports had been coming in that the Galactic Empire's forces had been converging on the border and that supply transports and trade had been disrupted constantly.

Sun Jian would call Starfleet for assistance, but they've been caught in their own war lately.

The Dominion, a force from another sector of space had attacked them, the Cardassian Union and the Klingon Empire. Soon into the war, the Borg Collective forced itself into the fray attacking both sides dragging the Romulan Star Empire into it. So far while it's been observed that Starfleet and it's allies are beginning to get the upper hand in driving the Dominion out of their sector of space and defeating the Borg, it still leaves Sun Jian to try and contain the issue with Gallius Rax.

Zhou Yu, who had aged with the years passing by and wearing a red overall uniform, was reading one of the many datapads Sun Jian had left on his desk. "It seems there have been votes going on with several of our trading hub worlds. All of them have agreed that they have lost confidence in you. I believe their fears of attack by the Galactic Empire is clearly to blame."

Sun Ce, who now had silver hair like his father and wore gold and red battle armor and a finely decorated helmet frowned on hearing that. "We can deal with them. If we divert some of our forces to the border it would make those idiots reconsider attacking."

"We already tried that tactic Ce." Sun Jian looked to his son. "It has not helped us."

Lu Xun, once a young and fresh officer of the Wu Kingdom now grown up sporting a full beard and wore the same clothing as Zhou Yu agreed. "Indeed. The numbers we sent don't even match what the Galactic Empire had already positioned near their side of the border. It's made more people nervous on the prospect of war coming their way and we being on the losing side. We must understand that the population is tired of prolonged conflicts, something that would occur from that situation."

Liu Bei, the last of the three sworn brothers and recently had lost his spouse Sun Shang Xiang, next spoke. "The people on Beyondard continue to support the notion of independence. I believe their isolation all this time from the rest of the Universe is to blame for it, but at the same time with those who we worked with still on the planet holding the same idea, they have little to convince them otherwise."

"I've recently sent another squad to try and deal with one of them that continues to be the center problem of all this." Sun Jian informed them.

That was responded with a series of groans from all four. Sun Ce was shaking his head. "Father. Chad will kill them like every, other, attempt. We don't have anything that can face him. His family live on that planet, they're well known. HE is a PRIMUS. Have you seen the reports once it was let out what was going on those five long years to what's happening on Beyondard?"

Sun Jian looked away, deeply annoyed.

He had. They placed Chad in a central sympathetic light. The hero in the dark. Stopping dozens of evils that could've brought far, FAR more chaos to the galaxies than the disputes of the empires and federations. The reports were from the records of Dr Light, Dr Wily and Dr Cossack about what had been happening as well as notes from Dr Regal and Dr Richard. Lan Light complied the information as several news groups wanted to know about the illusive Hero Base and why it disappeared from Earth X.

The brave descendent of Primus who saves everyone now tries to protect his home from the ever disruptive Empire that wishes to make everyone bow to it. That's how its seen. He knows thousands upon thousands are creating circles about him and connecting up his family line to other descendants of Primus as well as promoting what he had done for them all, looking for those his actions had effected.

He remembered discussing it with Cao Cao and Liu Bei years before the war on their world in 2051. Cao Cao regretted he never took steps to use what was going on around Chad to bring about his idea of the future, that he never bothered to focus on his homeworld and solidify a position. Liu Bei had a feeling Chad would be special in the scheme of things thanks to Zuo Ci but never expected so much to happen to them with him around.

But they all agreed on one thing. They feared him. If he ever turned on them or left their side it would spell doom. The Hero Base folk had come to rely on him and him alone. Cao Cao and Yuan Shao even tried to convince him to come and help stop the Hero Empire taking over their world when they decided to turn on Sun Jian when Liu Bei agreed to join the Wu Leader. Sun Jian and Liu Bei tried to do the same before Sun realized Chad only cared for Beyondard now.

He focused on those in the room. "Then what do you all propose?"

There was silence between them. Withdrawing from Beyondard would show weakness in the empire like when the GF and SF could never subdue the Drakon Empire. But take too long and the Galactic Empire would expose them.

Zhou Yu finally thought of something, leaning forward a little to catch his emperor as well as everyone else's attention. "Finish project 'End Game'."

"No!" Liu Bei shot out of his chair on his feet. "That project must be scraped! It's too dangerous!"

"It has taken us years to build the eight we have. If we finish one-"

"It is dangerous! Emperor Sun Jian I have again and again pleaded you on this matter! End the project!"

"Liu Bei." Sun Jian motioned to the aged man to sit down, which Liu Bei did so after an exasperated sigh. "Continue Zhou Yu."

Zhou Yu nodded. "If we finish one. We can deploy the unit to Beyondard with the initial target of Chad Oswald. With research notes I've read, it should be powerful enough to destroy him as well as anyone who helps him. It is built to tackle things that match the size of the largest Leviathans on record, so one Hu-Navi should not be a great hurdle."

Though Liu Bei sat down, he was not any more quieter on his objections. "The project was set up if there was no other options remaining! It's too dangerous! If you go ahead with this I cannot support the matter!"

Sun Jian looked at Zhou Yu. "Well?"

"I know Liu Beis concerns on this matter. But I have every confidence in my Emperor and his military might that we can contain the problem after and even perhaps use it again if we must against our other enemies. It is a resource. We must use these resources if Beyondard and it's vast treasure is ever going to belong to us. You want all that Chaos energy and Phazon energy do you not? Then we use the project."

The emperor was smiling on hearing that. That alone was enough to make Liu Bei storm out of the room in disgust. "Do not worry about Liu Bei Zhou Yu. I'll speak to him later and get him to calm down. Go ahead with the project, use whatever you need to finish one of them and inform me so I can see it prior to deployment. Lu Xun, Sun Ce I expect you both to support him in this matter. I'll convince everyone that soon, Beyondard will finally be ours and they have nothing to worry about. The Hero Empire with thrive."

"Alright that's another update on the systems done. Hey Chad? Notice anything different?"

"Besides errors popping up all over the defence grid yet again Lan? Nah not much."

"Oh goddamnit!"

It was within the labs of the Hero Base.

Sitting at one of the computers was Chad, leaning back looking disappointed at the one besides him who was wearing a white lab coat, a blue bandanna with his Navis symbol on tied on his arm, an orange shirt and blue trousers with medium brown hair and brown eyes, Lan Light. Now known as Dr Lan.

It was early morning. Chad had decided to come and visit and give the doc a hand as Hub was busy helping out in the nearby city along with Keira and a, fairly competent scientist by the name of Mr Famous. The other person who would help, a Net Navi known as Faith along with her two daughters was too busy working in the Wily Fortress.

"I can't believe it's happened again! I thought I had the kinks in the advance AI network sorted out to work with the Beyondard network!"

Chad gave a sigh as he placed his hands on the back of his head. "So why are you trying to merge the systems again? I'm sure the Bastion of Hope are fine without protection from us...well, from you."

Lan was already focused on looking at the errors and correcting the lines of code that are not functioning right. "Because the population is still predicted to only come back to Pre-Zoanoroid war numbers within 10 to 15 years. Beyondard has a lot of ground not covered by the military but still had the old radar system and wave connectors. With them I can detect when anyone comes down on the planet illegally with hostile intentions and deploy defenses to take them out or threaten them to leave."

"10 to 15 years? Alot of people are coming to our world Lan. I doubt it would take that long."

"Alot of people are, yes. But it takes time to process them, find a place that's suitable that's NOT a ruin and make sure they're not here to plunder, especially the Falzar base and Gregar base. Those are to be left well alone."

Chad frowned. "Leaving the bodies to rot..."

"The Phazon and Chaos energy is preserving them and is highly dangerous." Lan was showing this was a touchy subject. "Trust me I don't like seeing them there and want to bury them but it's too dangerous. The mines are filled with corpses if the scans are anything to go by, and it's taking money and plenty of safety equipment just to collect the bodies outside the bases. The city ruins, the destroyed ships in orbit, if you recall it took twelve people just to bring down the body if your older brother Col-" He stopped himself as he knew Chad was giving him a small glare on that reminder. "-…It's better they're left alone if we can allow it, alright?"

Chad still wasn't happy. "Nine years of not knowing what did it? What killed them all?"

"Whatever it was it hasn't effected anyone who has either energy sources in them that's not a Zoanoroid. Maybe Gabriel had a killswitch on standby the entire time. We can't risk it. Maybe in a few hundred years the Phazon and Chaos energies should subside to a level acceptable to be close to...I'm sorry alright? Not even battlechips will help here and your chaos barrier overloads or breaks down depending on what base you approach."

The mobian human was getting frustrated. This seemed to be how it was here these days. 'Nothing we can do.' 'We have to wait.' It kept feeling like he was being held back or was too late to anything at the present.

He used to have help from a summon companion he was provided by Zuo Ci, Omega Weapon. But since Lady Luck took over the deity realm Omega has not returned whenever Chad tries to call him. No deity or summon ever approaches him now. Not even Akuma nor Griffon, the former that was a deity has vanished and the latter joined with Anna's fiancé Roxas after her death.

Chad got up from the computer heading towards the door. "I'm gonna go speak with Optimus Prime and Megatron. I'll leave you to handle the grid."

Lan heard the door open and just before Chad went through it, decided to speak. "I got a report from Axel."

Chad stopped. Listening.

"..." Lan gave a slow sigh "The bottle station has been finally found. Barrel's last known location...what's left of it. One small part remained, the docking section, clearly torn away from the rest. No sign of it. Laura's body has been found..."

Chad looked down to the floor, giving a small mumble of a prayer for her. She was Samus' sister, now Lan would have to tell the bounty hunter at some point...If she, Xiahou Dun and Pang Tong are ever found since they vanished at the time Akuma did…

Lan continued "...Roxas' body was also found. Along with seven of the crew. The hard data Axel found showed that they had tried to access the escape pods in that section but the air was sucked out when the rest of the station was suddenly torn away. A strange band of energy mixed into a nebula cloud was reportedly encountered and the science crew agreed to venture into it...it suddenly threw the station into chaos and the data shows Barrel accessed the system to open the pods to let people escape."

The fact Chad clenched his fist was all Lan needed to notice to know how this news hit him. "Axel said it'll take a few weeks to transport the body back without teleportation...should I tell him to use-"

"Yeah." Chad glanced over his shoulder. "Bring both Laura and Roxas home...they deserve to be back here."

A few weeks soon pass after he had to watch another two be buried.

Chad stood in his front garden, a small hand shovel in his brown gloved hands as he just finished placing flowers in for this season, the last ones he just sorted out were a blue hue and jagged looking, which at night glowed in the darkness. Nearby him was a waist-high stone wall that his black jacket had been placed over as well as his Blade of darkness leaning on it.

Gardening never was a thing for him years ago. He never saw the relaxing side nor the rewarding sides of it. It just made the place look pretty as far as he was concerned. But Lucy had gotten him into it as well as his younger brother Trill. Now he cares for all three gardens he has, the front, back and the small greenhouse one nearby the kitchen.

He looked back to his home. A mansion. Large and beautiful painted in black and white, with wooden dark brown varnished doors, large silver lined rectangle windows and it's position near a cliff edge. With a stone gravelled road leading from it down and past the stone wall. It belonged to his father years ago and was far more derelict looking prior to Chad moving in and fixing it up to house his family and close ones.

He remembered when they first got inside it how many secret rooms and locations were within the place. He knew his father was a secretive sort and would often keep his experiments or research out of sight but by his count he found 9 hidden rooms all within the cliff face beneath the mansion, 1 hanger bay near the bottom of the cliff face close to the sea (unfortunately the one transport ship within it had been dismantled and was only useful for scrap.) and 1 pool that he read up about from his fathers notes...something he regretted once he found his dad had noted down when him and his wife made 'full use' of the gym and hidden rooms for their fun, especially when they had guests and wanted to sneak away.

Despite that he was glad when Iris told him of where it was and that they could use it to move out of the Hero Base. He didn't hate living there but soon after Roll gave birth to Yuriko there was the death of his older sister and her lover. He wanted to move on from that and believed this would be a fresh start.

Living with him in the same bedroom was his 2nd wife Lucy Oswald. They married in 2061A.P when things between him and Roll had grown distant. In another bedroom was the reserved place for Blue Light and Chad's sister Iris Light, along with their children. They lived in the Hero Base mostly but loved to visit often. Then there was Darkmega and Medi. While their children remained at the Hero Base having long since grown up they came to live out here with Chad...Who had problems with Darkmega's wife, but knowing the complicated situation, forced himself to accept his best friend and her in.

The room next to theirs was once Light Rich, a clone of the dark soul of Richard, room. Chads other very close friend. It was now emptied out and his stuff placed in the loft. He had passed away a few months ago thanks to rapid ageing that was discovered with his clone genes a few years ago. If it was noticed sooner and Dr Rich was around… Chad sighed. It was all a case of too little too late.

Next was Lacus Oswald. Chad's first child born with Lucy shortly after his departure from Beyondard years and years ago. Now 22 years of age she had seen the rapid changes of her home and the state of things now. She had been attending the academy on Earth IV to command space faring starships, showing a clear desire to head out to the stars, something Chad was not comfortable with.

Yuriko Oswald was his and Roll's first child, named after the woman who adopted her. She was 16 years old and wasn't sure what to do with her life as she only had two more years of schooling left. She wanted to help out at the Hero Base at first but having become close to her step-sister Lacus, saw the interest in space faring.

Finally there was Albert Oswald. His and Roll's second child. Named after Dr Albert Wily and 11 years old, he was tech kid, fully interested in networking and electronics, his namesake had been a key inspiration for that as Chad told him plenty about the doctor.

It was now mid-afternoon. The place was mostly empty besides himself, his wife and Lacus. He grabbed his jacket placing it on before picking up his sword and looking out to the land beyond his domain. Beyondard. The world of survival. The wildlife species mostly conceived of these known on ice-age worlds such as mammoths and giant deer, as well as life unique to this planet evolved in unusual ways, such as the Vastatosaurus Rex and Sker Buffalo.

In the far distance he could see three distinct objects. The steel fortress of Gregar, the Hero Base and the construction machines and outlines of new buildings of a city that was still developing and expanding thanks to its constantly rapid increase in population and demand by those on this planet and those who come from off world to live here. It was first brought about to provide a new spaceport and trade point for the planet. Now instead of it being a few homes and warehouses, it had become known as Urban Dawn, the first city to be fully established since the end of the Beyondard War.

Chad walked into the mansion, his feet stepping on the dull red carpeting of the entranceway, the walls holding up artwork of the planet's landscape and twin moons, the grand staircase that led to the second floor where the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms resided. There was the faint sound of classical music playing throughout the place. Chad knew where it was coming from. He went to the right through one of the doors into a large living room containing an assortment of chairs, small tables, a tv, a video game console and two computers with their own desks at one corner of the room.

Laying on a long black couch, reading a novel named 'Love bleeds through the cloth' was his wife. The music was coming from his TV, with it being channelled to a radio station set up by the capital Arisu. She would only have this music playing if she read, otherwise it was pop, a little bit of metal or techno. She was wearing a red t-shirt with blue jeans right now. White socks being visibly seen with her feet up on the chair.

Close to her was a small table that had a pile of books similar to the one she had. She enjoyed the feel of paper-back books that were abundant on this planet compared to the datapads commonly used in the galaxies. There was also a cup of frizzy lemonade that he could tell had gone flat which he chuckled to himself about. He poured it out for her before heading into the garden about 3 hours ago.

"Didn't you finish reading that one already Lucy?"

He could picture her rolling her eyes a little that were hidden in the book. "That was 'Love bleeds through the paper', the second book of this collection. Damien the detective has finally confessed his love for Jessica and now their trying to solve the mysterious death of her brother-"

"-don't need the details. You know I'll forget by tomorrow." Chad walked over and sat down on the couch next to the head of his love, who lifted it up allowing him to shift closer so she could rest it on his lap, smiling up at him and both sharing a kiss before continuing to talk. "So, anything been happening whilst I've been planting the Parsonians?"

"Nothing much on the news. The weather is meant to be windy tomorrow around here. Been another wildfire on Earth V. Cybertron continues to be scrapped and pulled apart for materials since the Autobots and Decepticons have chosen to stay silent...I take it Optimus Prime and Megatron haven't made a move?"

"Since they couldn't get in contact with their people who are spread out across the Empire it's kinda pointless for them to try and go it alone with only Starscream and Bumblebee in tow to reclaim the world. They accept what's done is done."

"A case of 'they should've thought of it sooner' huh?"

Chad nodded. "Maybe around the time Rufus was in power, yeah. He might've been more willing to help them out before he clogged it."

Lucy turned the page of her book. "Feels like that's a common theme for those people these days..."

"We are all just looking for somewhere to live in peace. Never thought of the long term effects of doing so. Heck, we got here now. Beyondard is good enough."

"...Lacus seems to disagree."

That made Chad look down at his wife. "What's she done this time?"

"She's still trying to get command of a Hero Empire starship...worse still it's been approved so now their going to send her a select choice of ships-"

"Approved!? Oh for the love of Az—She knows they want me dead right?"

Lucy decided now was the time to put the book down and sit up to be beside her husband and hold his hand. "Chad. She's certain she can help with the situation by working within the Empire. She's already been recognized and noted for being exceptional in training. And she keeps saying about how a lot of the people in the military have respect for you and what you've done for the people out there."

"Clearly not enough to get them to stop shooting at me when they come and 'visit' every few months." Chad dryly answered with.

"That's Sun Jians fault."

"They don't HAVE to obey him Lucy. It's not his fault they're so willing to march to their deaths. They know what I can do. They know why Sun Jian hides behind them like the chicken shit he is. I've brought down bigger men than him."

Lucy nodded. She knew that. She gently hugged his arm. "Fear is a powerful motivator Chad."

"They wouldn't have to fear me if they just left us alone..." He kissed her head. "I know, my daughter means well. I just don't want it to end up that she's on one side and I'm on the other. I don't want our family torn apart like that."

"We'll find a way, don't worry."

By the next day, as the sun had gone down with the twin moons rising...another team had come to Beyondard.

They had circled around Chad, his wife, his sister and her husband. They had been out to Urban Dawn, seen the shops and had a pleasant meal together. They were walking to the mansion which took a few hours, but the air was cool and crisp. They were relaxed. Blue with his buttoned blue shirt and black trousers, Iris in her light pinkish blouse and long light teal skirt, Lucy in a her blue dress and Chad in his own red buttoned shirt and dark blue jeans.

This was why Chad always carried his sword.

He used Chaos Control to move his relations out of the entrapment as the troopers got out of their transport ships and aimed their weapons. The usual cries came out of them that Chad had heard so, so many times before:

"It's time for you to die Oswald!"

"Your reign over this world is over!"

"Beyondard belongs to Sun Jian and the Hero Empire!"

"Sun Jian only needs you out of the way to control this planet!"

Chad as always provided them with the one response he always gave, after allowing his power to surge up from years of combat and from a gift he had within his blood and genes, causing his hair to change from it's brown colour to a slight green tint'ish state with the silver part of his hair remaining such, a faint green aura flowing around him which blew away particles of dust from the ground:

"Listen to me and listen well. If you're smart you'll get back on the transport ship and leave to live your lives. The second you fire a shot your life is forfeit. I will kill every single one of you. At this moment it is up to you if you want to return to the Lifestream or live on."

They always choose death.

He was one guy. A mobian, hu-navi, didn't matter. One person on them. They weren't like the ones before, they could do it. They could bring Chad down.

That's what they always believed.

How many times has he had to do this?

How many times has Sun Jian sent people to die? Who try to sneak around, try to surprise attack him?

Chad was honest to himself, he lost count ages ago. This weren't like the larger scale invasions so why bother?

He had ignored the standard attempts at mocking him, saying about how his doomed Beyondard for his actions, how he was losing his power and that Sun Jian will make him pay whilst he slaughtered the first few.

He soon made himself ignore their pleas for mercy, their wish to live to see another day, to go home to their loved ones like they never realized how deep in the shit they were on being sent here. He was surprised the stories of what his done hasn't made anyone who's assigned to this know it's a death sentence, a twisted form of execution.

He looked beyond the destroyed transport vessels, the burning wreckages he had left behind that glowed so wonderfully in the night sky.

Iris was still watching from afar with Blue and Lucy. That glint of fear in her eyes hurt him. What he was when someone pointed a weapon at him was not the brother she had become attached to during those first few years of his marriage to Roll.

His hair returned to it's normal colour, the power he had allowed to surge relaxed. There was no one else around. He turned to the three and despite the crackling fires and weakening warning alarms from the transports, his footsteps were loud and clear on the dried barren land.

Soon he stood before them, looking at them one at a time with hardly any emotion on his face, before he walked past them to head for home knowing full well they would simply follow him.

He just hoped it wasn't out of fear. Not them.

He got that enough from the Hero Base, the fact they showed it after all the years he fought for his life and those when they got mixed up in it all. He used to be so angry even thinking about how they make it feel like they were faking those greetings and smiles to him when inside they were afraid.

Now he simply accepts it. His unique. Powerful. Probably one of the most powerful left in this universe after he brought down the higher deities.

And nothing after Broly had yet to stop him.

The report soon came back to Sun Jian that once again, it was another wipeout despite their planning and patience on looking for a good moment to attack.

Another two hundred and fifty deaths to have people report to the families about. Another lot of questions from those families as to why it happened. More pressure on his officers that he knows are getting sick of answering the why of it with 'It was an attempt to defeat Chad Oswald'.

Plus not getting into the funds needed to replace those men. Good Power Armor and good trained hardened men and women was expensive to set up and maintain, plus the expanded weaponry arsenal provided including military edition battlechips wasn't cheap. And this was one of the times he didn't send mechs with them or flyers.

Now though, they were going to be the last he would need to send.

He was now outside Midgar at the dead of night, at the Space Station that had been set up there, dozens of transport ships usually coming and going from Gaia VII, now void of such due to the big annoucement set up by Zhou Yu. The city itself had been emptied out for the years it took to construct the project, to remain as low profile as it could. The ships that came to this world normally brought supplies or people to work on it.

Now Sun Jian was on a metal stand with everyone that had worked on the project and those who knew of it, the main figures being Liu Bei, Sun Ce, Lu Xun, Dr Cossack, who had been made a leading scientist of the project after his tenure with the Hero Base was brought to a close years ago and finally another major worker on this project, a woman that Sun Jian had never met until now. An aged result of the Super Children project that had light blond hair with clear signs of silver coming through, long enough it was tried by a green bow at the bottom close to her hips and teal green eyes. Zhou Yu had explained she was a part of Shadowlaw before it was temporarily disbanded with the death of and Xehanort, the latter by the hand of Ingrid in a dispute and the former by Chad.

She simply wanted to be known as Dr Bullen. And when Zhou Yu completed the standard welcoming speech which included who proud he was of how the project had reached this point, the people who had helped in this massive undertaking and how it would bear fruit etcetera etcetera, he stepped away from the microphones and walked off from his raised platform near this massive object, about 150 feet in height surrounded by white lights on the ground and covered over with a massive black plastic-type sheet and allowed her to walk up to where he was before, waiting for the standard clapping provided by those present to die down, clearing her throat before speaking.

"Thank you. It's was with my greatest pleasure to work on this project first discovered by our military officer Zhou Yu. In 2045, Emperor Rufus Shinra of the Shinra Federation saw the dangers that existed in our universe. He saw Unicron, a towering nightmare that could consume planets, gods who came from the skies to bring terror to our populations and lurking threats from the darkest corners of our galaxies. Those of the Hero Base proved useful in helping repel these dangers, as we all know about the Hero. But Rufus knew they were unreliable, without having them under his thumb, there was no guarantee of safety. So he prepared a plan to create machines powerful enough, that when all was seemed lost, they could turn the strongest tide back, that they could crush the most powerful of foes, including the fabled and rightfully feared Leviathans, something that was key in bringing this creation to reality. Everyone, this is the fruit of Project Endgame! Allow me to introduce you Rufus' idea brought to life-"

The sheet was pulled down.

There behind her now, lit up, was a giant black and shining metal monster. Bulky with lines upon lines of blue energy flowing through it's hands and feet, across it's legs torso and arms all leading to the demonic looking head, it's eyes and teeth glowing brightly. On it's upper half with crystallized fragments, mostly evident with the giant twin horns on its head, the crystallized fragments on it's shoulders and on its crown, around the horns, all glowing a more dominant orange from the blue coursing through it. The machine stood tall, looking down to all those present.

"-Atlas!"

There was an applause, which in the middle of stood Sun Jian. He was giving a small bit of clapping as he looked to those around him, clearly noticing Liu Bei shaking his head in disgust.

It didn't matter though. As he looked up to the eyes of Atlas again he was smiling.

That there was the solution he had been waiting for. His answer to keep total control of his empire…

And to remove Chad Oswald once and for all.

In the far off distance, a blue police box was seen perched on top of a hill. Beside it was the doctor, in brown long coat and in his tenth form. Looking over to Atlas. He face was filled with misery. "So, Chronoa was right. When the giant of the Empire comes, both it and the hero die...Shouldn't of stayed away. I should've got myself in that lot instead of hanging back watching just one, from a parallel universe no less." He gave a brief sigh, looking at the door to his TARDIS. "Not like it mattered. The Blue here died in during Trigon's attack. Along with Annas sister. Least they still got one, keep the natural trio order going." He opened the door and stepped inside.

He slowly made his way over to the main central control point of his machine, looking at the screens and controls, the switches, the levers the buttons. Noticing a small beeping sound coming from one side he made his way over. "Well girl, what've you picked up on..." He seemed to stop and stare at one particular screen.

"A dimensional portal opening? Probably nothing. Used to see plenty of those years ago thanks to Dr 'Death' as he nicknamed himself." He thought about that for a moment. "But he hasn't been around for years and his wife never touches the gateway...heck it's been dismantled since the two parallel universes they had contact with want to be left alone. So who's doing this?"

He started to smile a little. "Well no need to just sit around. And it's on Beyondard too-" He was now quickly going around the control system turning the switches and levers. "-I can guess Blue's gonna be happy to see me again after...well..." He shrugged to himself trying to remember when it was the last time he spoke to him. "Anyway! Let's go and have a looksie girl! ALLONS-Y!"

Notes:

1. This is Universe 2. The previous chapters were all about Universe 1.

2. Roll remains as the Roll of Megaman Battle Network like all Universes.

3. Atlas is from Final Fantasy 13-2, the steep difficulty curve boss if you attempt a paradox ending.

4. Omega Weapon mentioned is from FFX.
