Hera leaned a little onto Ahsoka as they slowly moved back to the medical wing. Hera's leku and hand were still in agony. Ahsoka, now with the collar off, was able to use the force to sense Hera's pain; a bittersweet moment for the Tortuga. Ahsoka though still had a splitting headache that seemed to get worse with every move she made. In truth after what happened with Kanan and Vader, all she wanted to do was lay down and sleep; but there was still so much to do and handle.

They had barely stepped into the medical wing before the doctors were fussing over them and ordering both to beds. Through it all though, Hera could only think about what sight would meet her in the next room. As the doctors assessed that Zeb and Ahsoka were good to walk, the doctors insisted that Hera and Sabine have some support to see Kanan. Luckily, Ahsoka helped with having Hera lean on her, while Zeb gave Sabine a piggyback ride (much to her dismay). At least they were finally allowed to see Kanan without doctors around him and screaming at the top of his lungs. As they got in, however, instead of being relieved to see Kanan, they were horrified.

Kanan laid at an angle so he could breathe better with the oxygen cannulas in his nose aiding him. Every breath Kanan took sounded like a painful exercise for Kanan and they could see how his chest seemed to be having a problem of raising itself fully. His cranium was wrapped around in bandages that were already becoming bloody; despite only being on for about ten minutes. His faces had a long deep scar from the lightsaber which the doctors informed them they couldn't do much about. The bacta had proved ineffective against it. Had the saber been raised any higher Kanan would have been blind now. That message sent shivers down their spine. How would Kanan have survived if he had to combat blindness along with torture and imprissonement? All down the man's torso, he was wrapped in even more bandages and bacta packs to aid in his healing. One leg was in a cast and rested up high to reduce swelling. The cast though was less restrictive than his arms.

On both sides of Kanan, his hands were restrained in binders attached to the bed rails. Despite the hands resting on the bed, it still made the rest of the crew cringe at the idea of him being restrained like some animal. However, the crew was a necessary evil in order to prevent Kanan from thrashing around and hurting himself more than he already was. The crew noticed that his restrained hands were resting on pillows to keep his broken fingers from swelling. Those broken fingers were in tiny splints and wrapped together so they could heal at proper angles.

Wires were surrounding him to check his heart rate, oxygen levels, blood pressure; it all made it appear that Kanan was a droid.

Sabine could only cling to Zeb as her frustration at what The Inquisitor did to Kanan boiled inside her. Zeb tried to get a good look at Kanan, just to assure herself he was here, but seeing him so damaged was a hard sight to bear. It reminded him so much of how some of his warriors looked under the siege of Lasan.

Hera herself could not hold back her tears, the panic made her legs feel weaker than they already were. Ahsoka aided her to a chair so she could rest as she cried her eyes out Kanan was in pain and dying, and all they could do was hope for the best, and expect the absolute worst. Meanwhile, no one even knew how poor Ezra was doing.

Just then Kanan's face twisted and moved it and he started to toss and turn in the bed pulling on the restraints. Ahsoka went over to Kanan, stroked him over the checks, and sent him reassurance over the force.

Ashoka closed her eyes so she could focus on this connection to her friend. After she found her center to focus on the Force however, she saw an image appear. Like a flower blooming, she saw a room from the Jedi temple emerge around her. As she looked around, Ahsoka caught her eyes on an image of one she thought she would never see again; Jedi Master Depa Billaba. For a moment Ahsoka thought if she should try to talk to the image of the woman she would be ready to strike. The elder woman's eyes opened as she looked down at the boy Ahsoka had not noticed before; she seemed to recognize him, but could not figure out where from. The child seemed just as focused as Depa was. The woman looked down at the cloaked child and smiled.

"Caleb?" The woman alerted her boy.

The boy's eyes shot open, and the moment they did, Ahsoka saw the familiar turquoise-colored eyes; the eyes of Kanan. Now Ahsoka understood what she was looking at, she was watching the memory of Kanan with his Master.

Ahsoka saw the padawan alert at first but then relieved when he saw his master.

"Sorry Master," The young boy sheepishly apologized, "I guess I got a little lost in meditation.

The woman chuckled, "That is quite alright young Caleb. I am quite proud of your progress. Just a month ago you seemed to struggle with focus."

Caleb's cheeks blushed a bit as he admitted, "I had a good teacher,"

Bilaba then stood up as she spoke, "I am flattered, Caleb. It also makes it easier to ask a serious question."

"What?" Caleb questioned.

"Caleb, would you like to be my Padawan?" Bilaba asked.

The boy stood there rather shocked before the master pointed out, "Being my student will not be easy Caleb, but I do think you can meet my expectations as a student and become a great master under my wing. What do you say?"

Caleb was widely grinning as he got up and nodded to her. She placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled bigger at his answer. The young boy grinned and then looked at her.

"How hard will it be? What kind of teaching will you do? Do you have the approval of the council to take me on? Do you think they will approve? What do you think will Master Mace approve? Will there still be time to hear his stories?" Caleb asked full of questions.

Depa smiled at him while also looking like she was questioning what she got herself into. Ahsoka couldn't help to smile as she could now see what Rex had been talking about regarding Caleb's constant questions.

"One at a time Caleb. First, go and get your things and move them to the chamber next to mine" Depa answered.

"Okay," Caleb said as Depa looked after him, muttering "this is gonna be a challenge'" as she left too.

While Ahsoka smiled at the memory Kanan was experiencing, she also worried. She could sense that Kanan was not just recalling this memory, he actually was experiencing it. She too because she was connecting with Kanan through the force. Kanan was delusional, and that was never a good sign.

"OW!" Ezra hollered as he tried to poke his leg to see just how bad his injury was; only for the lightest touch to cause his nerves to scream in turmoil. Despite his leg now showing great signs of being swollen, reddening the color of his skin where capillaries have blown, Ezra was in denial. Ezra needed to get away from Kallus (who was messing with the escape pods comlinks) now.

Ezra continued to poke his leg, in desperation that eventually his leg will feel better with every poke. In reality, Ezra didn't know what else he could do.

"Ow… ouch...ouch…" Each time Ezra's cry became less filled with pain and filled with annoyance that his leg was still broken. Kanan would know what to do but he wasn't here; much to Ezra's bitter despair.

"Would you please stop that!" Kallus requested angrily at Ezra's repetitive nature.

Ezra shrank himself a bit before regaining his composure. The kid glared at the man with rage as the man shook the comlink box again.

"Can you stop that?!" Ezra said, waving his hand at the link in Kallus's hand.

Kallus rolled his eyes as he pointed to the comlink, "This here is the only way to get any aid to our location."

Ezra just shook his head at the man's stupidity, recalling something Kanan once told him.

"Why focus your energy on something that won't work?" Ezra questioned rather smugly.

"Excuse me?" Kallus questioned angrily.

Ezra couldn't help but flinch at Kallus's anger. The child recalled how anger was met with pain. But now Ezra took a deep breath and remembered Kallus had no power over him anymore. Ezra then told him the honest truth, "You have been trying to work on that thing for hours. Without the right tools, there is no way you can fix that. For the past half an hour all you have done is shake the thing in the hopes it will work."

Ezra saw the man's face fall, and against Ezra's better judgment, he took great joy in seeing the man look so defeated.

"Face it, neither of us can get a hold of anyone. We are stuck here until someone finds us. So best to focus on surviving until someone does come here."

Kallus thought of what the boy said, and as he looked at the comlink, he turned rather angry as he saw and accepted that there truly was no way to get the communicator to work before tossing it in the shuttle. The Agent then sank to the ground in despair.

Ezra, seeing the man he hated had the common sense to stop wasting his energy on something he could not fix, realized he should do the same. There was no point in waiting and hoping for his leg to heal suddenly. It was better to try to aid the broken leg and do something that will help him in the long run. The boy began to crawl to the shuttle and pull himself up and into the shuttle where he found a loose pipe.

"What are you doing?" Kallus questioned in annoyance.

"Doing something," Ezra stated as he got out of the shuttle.

Kallus then saw the kid ripped off some pieces of his clothing. Ezra then put the pipe right next to his leg and tied the clothes to make a temporary splint.

"Yes!" Ezra cheered triumphantly as he moved his leg without hurting himself.

"Congrats. you created a splint." Kallus remarked with immense sarcasm.

As much as Ezra hated to admit it, Ezra was a little hurt that Kallus was not as impressed by Ezra's ability. Ezra though recalled the kind of man Kallus was and realized he should not care.

The youngling then pointed out smugly to the man, "That only took two minutes, imagine what I can do in an hour without wasting time on lost causes,"

Kallus again glared at the boy with annoying disgust.

"Don't pat yourself on the back just yet," Kallus stated as he continued, "No matter who comes for us, it could take days, weeks, perhaps even months before any help can get to us. How do we handle that?"
Ezra knew there was the logic behind Kallus's statement. Even if people knew where they landed, it could be a couple of nights at the minimum before help arrived. Though he knew that with his past in check, Ezra could handle a couple of nights. Hence, Ezra just shrugged his shoulders and told Kallus simply, "Survive, that's all we can do."

"You make it sound like it is obvious," Kallus argued.

"When you are forced to survive on the streets after the Empire takes your parents away...it makes you have to do some things you didn't think you could do before," Ezra remarked rather bitterly. Kallus glared at the boy bitterly.

"I only took your parents away because of you, you know that right? The mission was to take you into custody; to be trained by the Empire." Kallus grinned as he went one, "Your parents' capture and revelation of who they were was an added bonus to that day. In fact I doubt they told you but I was the one signing the papers for their sentence of imprisonment for life"

If Ezra had the energy he would have jumped at him for that comment instead he just sneered in anger and hated making Kallus smile.

Kallus then got his binoculars out and looked around before he smiled.

"Looks like I found a river. Don't worry boy, I shall bring you some. The Empire stil does want you alive, therefore I must keep you alive; for now" Kallus said smugly.

Ezra rolled his eyes at the man's cockiness of the situation. The child then recalling his own time alone replied to the man sarcastically, "Great, and I assume you know how to purify the water."

Kallus' face fell before he remarked, "Of course, I was your teacher in imperial survival training" though Ezra smirked when he heard the doubt in the man's voice. The man was about to turn and head to the river when he asked, "That's a trick question right? water is pure."

Ezra couldn't help but laugh (something he thought Kallus could never do), "Right, with all the fish, moss, and other animal bacteria that is in there, Nah go ahead and drink it as is. You see, Kallus, that is your problem. You can only survive if you have equipment at hand. Imperial equipment that does everything for you. Well guess what, we don't have that luxury."

Kallus rolled his eyes as he approached the man, "I suppose you will have to come with me to purify the water," Kallus begrudgingly.

"You might also need to get that pipe there," Ezra pointed to a pointed pipe that was debris from the landing, "and the pot inside I saw under the steering column, and some wood or dry grass.

Kallus looked very confused, "Why?"

"To purify the water and catch the fish for dinner," Ezra stated.

Kallus looked disgusted, "You will be doing that part."

Ezra once more chuckled at the man. Kallus, who bent down to give the boy a piggyback, again questioned, "Now what is it?"

Ezra calmed his giggles and told the man as they got the supplies, "You kill people for a living, and yet you can't kill a fish."

Kallus rolled his eyes at the annoyance of the child, not realizing the boy's end game.

Ahsoka nearly collapsed as she broke the physical contact with Kanan making the crew look worried for her.

"Ahsoka is everything alright?" Hera asked worriedly.

Ahsoka felt unsure about how to answer that, she had just seen her friend being accepted as a padawan. It was a deeply private moment she should not have seen and it was a sign that the hallucinations were beginning. Before she could reply Kanan started to toss and turn even more.

"Master" he called over and over again.

"Kanan it's okay things are okay" Hera tried to smooth from her chair.

"Master where are we?" Kanan asked, completely ignoring them.

A small smile graced Kanan's face for a short moment before it suddenly turned to a frown and then deep confusion.

"Master what is going on?" Kanan called with slight panic.

Master, why are they calling us traitors? What is going on? Why are they trying to shoot us?" Kanan called in a panic.

The crew winced upon realizing that they were witnessing how Kanan reacted to the time where Bilaba was killed. Even though they couldn't see it themselves they felt they were intruding in a private moment. They had no right to be there but there was no stopping it or preventing it. For Kanan to live through it a second time was no doubt the most horrible thing and a reminder of just how cruel the Inquisitor is.

"No master I won't run no. You need me" Kanan cried out.

The crew watched in horror as all the machine alarms started filling the rooms. The doctors came rushing in and started working on Kanan as the crew was observing this. Kanan twitched his hand and tried to get loose resulting in a few things starting to levitate up into the air but they did not get far into the air before they dropped to the floor.

"MASTER NO!" Kanan screamed as he trashed and turned in the bed gasping for air and acted like he tried to duck and run. Small drops of tears began to form despite Kanan having his eyes closed. Kanan started to shake and soft cries and sobs were heard. It took the crew a moment to realise that Kanan was crying over the loss of his master. How much it must have hurt and they couldn't even comfort him. Kanan's heart monitors raised in alarm and he started to shiver and shake.

Ahsoka dived into the force and got an image of the young boy staring as Bilaba was short before he turned and ran hearing the clones shout about getting him. Horrified, Ahsoka withdrew looking at Kanan where a few tears ran down his cheeks while shaking and gasping for air.

"Do something" Hera shouted to the doctors.

"We can't really do much," the doctor stated rather gloomily.

Then like a small supernova imploding he collapsed on the bed and laid completely still. The alarm went higher than before and the doctor worked frantically before the sound died down and the doctor stood back.

"What happened?" Zeb asked.

He had a hallucination and his heartbeat has slowed down" the doctor confirmed.

"No" the crew mourned.

"How long do we get to the base?" Hera asked weakly.

"10 hours," Satos tired voice told them as they saw him in the door.

Everyone looked worried. Any hope they had to beat the clock was slowly fading from them all.

Once by the river the imperial and rebel found, Ezra started getting a fire going; which took only a couple of minutes with the dry wood and grass they got along the way. Ezra set some rocks in the fire so the pot could sit above the fire, and then ignited his saber and lit the fire.

"Alright, just place the pot of water on the rocks to boil and in ten minutes we are good," Ezra said happily at his success.

Kallus though did not seem to be impressed, "That is all you do? Boil it?!"

"So simple that even you couldn't figure it out," Ezra remarked smugly

Ezra then got the pointed pole and began to limp towards the river, and waited until he saw a few fish and pierced them.

Ezra smiled in success as he got four medium-sized fish. Ezra then got two sticks and placed two fish on each stick so they could cook by the fire.

"This is so primitive," Kallus pointed out before he stated, "But I suppose it does help to know these things in times like these."

"Yeah, you never know when the Empire will just stop giving a crap and just leave you on some planet," Ezra muttered with annoyance.

Kallus had enough of the kid, "I would watch that tone if I were you boy. Keep in mind that I am an imperial officer. Once we are back with the Empire, I can tell them exactly what foul language you have used against the Empire. You thought your time was hell when you were with them, keep in mind I can make things far worse for you." Kallus was seething his words at Ezra like he thought the boy would start to cry and beg for mercy.

Yes, Ezra had thought about this possibility and it made his skin crawl being back in imperial custody. But recalling how the tables could be turned, cruelly smiled at Kallus.

"Not as bad as I can," Ezra pointed out with a smirk

"Excuse me?" Kallus questioned.

Ezra sighed as he finally told Kallus the flaw, "First off you do realize Vader wants me to be his apprentice right?" Ezra questioned, "So wouldn't that make me higher ranked than you?"

Kallus thought of that and looked to the side in the disguise of the rebel bastard being ranked ahead of him.

"Plus your whole thing about the Empire coming to get us only works if my friends don't beat them here. They are just as worried about me as you think the Empire is about you."

Kallus raised his brow at the bow in anger at where this was going.

"I'm twelve," Ezra went on, "They are worried sick about me, they care about me. I have no doubt that they are going to come here as soon as they take care of Kanan. When they do come, and when the Empire hasn't come for you, where does that leave you?"

Kallus became a little panicked, though he did not show the boy this.

Ezra went on, "I told them all about what the empire and you did to me. That's why I'm helping you survive too. That way you'll be the rebels prisoner then. Zeb told me he wants to shove his foot up your butt for torturing me. Imagine you being captured by my friends," Ezra chuckled wickedly before he told them, "Well then they will all take a turn with you."

Kallus grew angry at the notion because as much as the agent hated to admit it, the child had a point.

"They won't get anything out of me," Kallus stated with confidence.

"Probably not," Ezra said before he went on, "Doesn't matter. As I said, they all love me and would do anything to protect me, to hurt those who hurt me. Since they can't get everyone who hurt me, I guess they'll have to settle for you."

Ezra thought of how creative they could be, "Sabine I know she would work with explosives to burn a cool scar into you. I think Rex would use you as a shooting target. Hera...I think she would just punch you a lot." Ezra chuckled.

"And Kanan Jarrus? What will he do? Oh right he is too ill" Kallus asked him coldly.

Ezra could not prevent the flash of pain and hurt crossing his face which Kallus saw making him smile. Kallus stood up and pointed to the boy, "Keep in mind boy that is if your friends come here first."

Ezra shrugged his shoulder, "I have faith, that's more than I can say for you.

Just then Ezra had an unsettling feeling, something in the force that warned him danger was coming. Ezra looked around the river bed but could not find anything dangerous around the two. Yet the force was warning him of something harming them.

"I have had-," Kallus was about to go on when Ezra shushed him.

"Shh," Ezra whispered as he looked around.

What are you-," just then something shot to Kallus, Ezra only got a glimpse of Kallus being knocked to the ground by an electric net when he himself felt himself being hit as well. the shock went all over him, Ezra could only see a slight glimpse of shadowed beings coming towards him before it all went black.

Sato looked at the crew as they all observed Kanan laying still on the bed, they all hoped he would remain still. It was much preferred to the former when he had seen Kanan have a vision. A horrifying one of that, he had never thought he would get to hear how it happened on the horrifying day the galaxy had lost the Jedi. Sato did feel slightly guilty because he knew that Kanan under normal circumstances he would not have told about such things. Sato knew it was not his fault but the drug still gave them an insight they were not really entitled to. Sato looked at the crew and saw how tired and exhausted they were and knew they would not leave Kanan. Sato walked out to the doctors and requested beds for all of them. Sato knew the doctor would not be overly happy but it was the best solution for now. As they came back no one had moved and just looked tired at Kanan.

"There will be beds for you to rest in. I expect you all to rest or you will all be expelled from this room" he told them.

All of them glared at him but did not say anything knowing they would not win and accepted it. As they sat there quietly unable to do anything Kanan started to move again and pull on the restraints.

"I wonder what he sees this time?" Ahsoka wondered.

Everyone shivered, if the serum made you see all the worst moments in your life, then the images Kanan saw could give normal people nightmares.

"I will never tell you where the rebels are," Kanan mumbled in agony.

The crew, Ahsoka and Sato looked to each other all guessing that they were watching the time Kanan was captured.

"I don't care what you do to me. I will not tell you anything" Kanan sneered.

Sato noticed that Hera looked almost sick at the scene and it wasn't hard to tell why. Sato knew that Ahsoka and not Hera had been the one handling Kanan when he had been struggling to come back from his imprisonment. Sato had sometimes asked Ahsoka what they had talked about but Ahsoka had refused to tell what they had talked about and the same had gone for Hera. Now they would find out but Sato guessed Hera was scared of what would come out about.

"I need air I … I" Kanan breathed heavily. "Never".

Kanan started gasping more and more like the air was hard to breathe, they all noticed that his actions were far less energetic than the last time. Ahsoka started to worry, she could not recognize Kanan's behaviour with anything he had told her. It could be that one time they lowered the oxygen level but something told her this wasn't it. The force started to move around her and she knew that it was the force itself, not Kanan's memories.

Suddenly images flashed and she found herself in an interrogation room. To her horror, she saw Kanan lying gasping and coughing on the ground with the Grand Inquisitor standing near him. Kanan appeared to be soaked and shivered in the cold.

"I have given you a short rest but I can end it if you don't tell me where the rebels are," the Inquisitor said.

All Kanan did was shaking his head when the Inquisitor grabbed it and dragged him to a torture table strap him down and place a have towel cloth over faces. Ahsoka noticed that the torture table was different from what Kanan normally described he was laying on. The metal table was flat and solid all the way. There were several metal binders on it; One around each of his wrists and ankles, one around his stomach, one around each of his knees, and one around each arm above his elbow. On the top, there was a leather strap which was set around his forehead. He couldn't move his head away and his body was completely locked as he was subjected to the torture. The only thing Kanan could do was blinking and that didn't help him at all. Ahsoka was sure the Inquisitor wished so Kanan would feel helpless while he was waterboarded.

"No, not again" Kanan groaned as his head was dosed with water from a powerful water hose. Kanan tried to move against the restraints but remained motionless; it was only the tightening of his muscles that told Ahsoka it was happening.

Filled with worries Ahsoka walked over and to her horror there was water. Kanan struggled to get some air. The Grand Inquisitor pulled the soaking cloth off of Kanan, who was gasping and shaking.

"Where are the rebels?" the Grand Inquisitor asked.

"No, no. Please note anymore" Kanan cried gasping and he would no doubt have been shaking if he could, "Please I can't tell" Kanan begged. Ahsoka noticed the small tears near his eyes all through the water made her unsure if he was truly crying or just wet.

"Very well," the Grand Inquisitor said.

"NO" Kanan screamed as the water rained over his face.

"No" Ahsoka screamed as Kanan was in agony.

Ahsoka looked at Kanan as he struggled to get some air, she felt sick how could they do this to him. As Kanan's head was released from the towel he was gasping and dripping with water.

"Had enough Jarrus?" the Inquisitor asked.

Kanan was shaking "Please" he gasped.

"Clearly not," the Inquisitor said.

Kanan was hosed down once more. Just then she saw his nose was starting to bleed.

"NO" Ahsoka shouted.

"Ahsoka, Ahsoka" several voices called to her as she opened her eyes and saw several faces above her.

Sato reached down and helped her to her feet and she heard Kanan cry out weakly and keep begging for it to end.

"I am sorry all of you I had a vision. The force showed me what Kanan was seeing, what he suffered with them." Ahsoka said sadly and bitterly.

They all looked at her worried. Ahsoka knew that she would have to tell but she could not find the words, she was shocked and unprepared. Kanan had never told about this happening.

"Please no more. I can't take any more" Kanan begged as he started to pull on the restraints once more clearly desperate to get away from what he thought was water.

"Ahsoka, what was it?" Hera said worriedly.

"They waterboarded him to make him tell and it looked like he broke down … what you see is …. Kanan begging for the waterboarding to stop," Ahsoka said while deciding not to tell them about just how locked down Kanan had been.

Everyone was quiet as they looked at Kanan as he shivered. Kanan had been … waterboarded? It was too much to take in and for Ahsoka, it hit extra hard, she had spent months helping him to cope. The fact that he had to hide such a vital part of the torture from her came as a shock. Ahsoka had never suspected that Kanan would hide some parts of his imprisonment from her. Hera yes, Sabine absolutely, Zeb possible, Ezra no doubt but her? No. She had helped him coop so she had assumed he would tell her everything over the treatment period. Yet she too was also holding information back from the crew to spare their feelings so could she really criticize Kanan for it? She felt she could as she was his therapy person.

"No, not again," Kanan almost cried.

Ahsoka starred with a heavy heart at Kanan, why had that stubborn fool not told her anything? This reveal opened the door to the terrifying question; What other torture had Kanan tried to hide from them? Suddenly Ahsoka got an answer of sorts as to why Kanan had not said anything when he said the next words.

"Okay, I will tell you!" Kanan cried out.

His lungs were burning! He needed air. His nostrils were burning with some fast water moving up it. It felt like his nose was bleeding. No matter how hard he tried to get away from the burning sensation his limbs and body were too heavy to move like they were not there at all, or that he was restrained.

As he finally opened his eyes, all he saw was rapid water rushing towards him, only able to toss his head back and forth for some relief, but only giving minor relief as his lungs still burned from lack of oxygen.

Finally it had stopped, and as he coughed up water and welcomed sweet air. As he looked up he saw the face of sinister evil; the Inquisitor.

"Tell me where." The Inquisitor sneered at him.

"I can't. Please stop this" a voice that seemed familiar begged.

Everything was burning as he neared the water once more, unable to handle it he shouted for it to end and agree to tell.

When he spoke, he didn't recognize it until he was done. "Geonosis: 3.12 degree north via 59.23 west."

Kanan! Ezra realized that this was Kanan's time, his master's memory.

The boy wanted to do something, anything, but he was stuck in Kanan's mind and he couldn't do anything.

The Inquisitor smiled wickedly as he rose up. He could hear the man say to Kanan, "It would seem that you can be persuaded after all. I must admit you held on longer than I expected but in the end we won. Now you can stay here and if you have sent us on a wild chase you will be sorry."

All the man did now was curl up and cry, trying to keep himself warm from the cold chill that had attacked him. his eyes closing once more to try to rest.

Suddenly his eyes shot open as he took a giant gasp of air.

"KANAN!" Ezra shot up, or tried to when he felt something pull on his arm. When Ezra looked down, he found one of his wrists in a binder. Ezra groaned and almost swore when he saw the other of the binder was attached to Agent Kallus; whom was waking up as well.

Ezra was panicked he felt they were moving, but as he looked around all he saw was a dark space around them.

Once more he heard Kallus groan, "What? Where are we?" Kallus questioned right before he noticed his good arm in a binder and he tried to yank it off.

Ezra tried to figure out where they were when he saw a slight window on the side of whatever thing they were in. Ezra looked out from where he was and saw the land moving underneath them.

Ezra used his free hand in a futile attempt to bang the wall open.

Suddenly they heard a voice on the other side of the walls where the cockpit was.

"Finally awake?" said a deep and crackling voice.

Ezra felt a cold sensation run up his spine; the force told him these were people that were not good.

Kallus then roared, "I am Agent Kallus with the Imperial Forces. Relinquish these restraints and surrender this vehicle."

"Wow, an imperial and a rebel. it's like the set up for a bad joke hey boss."

Just then a dark voice entered the scene. When Ezra looked through the tiny slight, one eye had a massive scar over it.

"The punch line though is this; we get the credits."

"are you in charge of this vessel?" Kallus demanded.

"I am in charge of my team here Agent," the awful being spoke calmly, "We found you two crash land and were able to assess who you are Agent Kallus, as for the young Bridger boy."

This made Ezra very uncomfortable that these beings knew who he was.

"The Empire I know would pay quite the hefty amount for the boy. As for you Agent, I bet we could get some money for you as well. If not then I guess we have our newest contestant for the hunt." The man laughed as he said this

"The boy is in my custody," Kallus spoke.

Ezra let out a forced laugh, "I am in no one's custody." Ezra sneered at the agent.

"You are both wrong." The man roared as he punched the side, leaving a dent in the wall , "In our vessel, in our territory; hence you are both in my custody."

"When the Empire gets here-." Kallus voiced.

"Oh they've already been here, a long time ago." The man spoke, "We are all that remains here now. What better place to hide than a place the Empire already destroyed."

Kallus looked at the man with serious speculation. Ezra saw this and decided to contribute.

"My crew will be here for me." Ezra spoke with confidence.

The man smiled, "Then you better hope they have enough money to buy your freedom."

The man then turned and left, Despite Kallus roaring in protest to have them released. Now Ezra hated to admit it but now, he was scared.

Ahsoka looked as Kanan whispered a few coordinates before he tried to curl up and cried. Everyone was silent as they looked at Kanan, he had told them where they had been but how were they still alive and free when he did that? Suddenly the alarms went off once more and the doctors rushed in trying to help Kanan who was shivering and gasping for air. Hera started to cry seeing Kanan so ill and knowing just how terrible he was mistreated. All of them could not stop feeling it was grossly unfair that Kanan was constantly on the receiving end of the empire. As Kanan once more felt silent they all looked worried at the doctors who had started to hook up Kanan on even more. The others went back out into the waiting area so the doctors could pay attention completely to Kanan. When they were finally finished their analysis and dosage of medication, they went out to the crew with Ahsoka, Sato and Rex, who came to see if they could tell their friends at such a time.

"His heartbeat is so low, too low to keep constant oxygen flow to the rest of his body. It seems he has lost a lot of blood during his time captured. " the doctors said sadly.

"Well he will need a blood transfer then, right?" Hera questioned

The Doctor nodded, "If we can find a compatible donor that that would be ideal.

Hera sighed, "That might be a challenge," she said in despair.

"Why?" Zeb questioned.

"Because Kanan not only has a rare blood type, but because he is in such dire situation, we need human to human blood transfer." Hera explained in a rather panicked tone.

The doctors nodded in agreement, "if this was a broken leg or if Kanan was half of one of your species it would be another story but now sadly we have to rule out you three to transfer." The doctors pointed out as he nodded his head towards Hera, Zeb, and Ahsoka.

Sabine sat up as she asked, "What type does Kanan have?"

Hera sighed as she stated, "O negative.

Sabine slammed her fist on the chair she sat on as she slumped once more, "dammit, I'm A positive."

Sato then hung his head, "B negative."

Zeb sighed as he saw the number of possible donors dwindled, "Wouldn't matter if I was human then."

Hera looked crescent fallen, "Like I said Kanan is a rare type, maybe one of the-,"

"I'm O negative," Rex spoke up.

Everyone looked at Rex as he sat down next to Sabine as he got his arm ready.

"Let's do this," Rex spoke.

"I'll get the supplies," The doctors said as he hurried to get the bag and needle for the transfer.

Rex then looked up

"What?" Rex questioned, "every clone has the same blood type in the odd chance one needed to be given to another. Pretty easy to remember if everyone of your brothers had it."

As the doctors came back and prepped Rex's arm, Hera asked, "Are you sure about this Rex?"

Rex nodded as the doctors began to find a vein, "Kanan needs it now. Also as much as he does hate me, I am about 99 percent sure he would do the same for me.

Hera smiled at Rex's aid. As Rex pumped his hand to get the blood flowing quicker.

Thank Rex," Sabine told Rex as she smiled at him.

"Hey we are a team, we do these things for one another." Rex told them simply.

The pint bag filled up in no time for kanan. As soon as the bag was full, the doctors rushed into the med-room to transfer the blood into Kanan.

It was a tense moment as no one dared make a sound as they saw the doctors run some tests on Kanan.

Once more the doctor came into the waiting area. He looked rather stressed as he saw the others almost surround him.

"Do you guys want the bad news or the good news?"

Hera and Zeb looked at one another as they nodded in silent agreement.

"Let's get the bad news out of the way." Zeb spoke for the crowd.

Kanan's condition is still worsening." The doctor spoke with some glume.

"Then what's the good news?" Ahsoka questioned.

"The blood transfer stabilized him. It might have bought him some time. but rather that is only a few minutes to an hour is unknown."

"How far to the base?" Hera asked Sato.

"5 hours," Sato said.

The doctor apologized, "I'm sorry it is not the news you wanted to hear." With that the doctor went back into the room

I think for now the best thing we can all do is rest. At this moment there isn't much we can do" Sato suggested softly.

The group looked around when Hera spoke up for them, "I don't think any of us could get any rest with all that is going on."

The others nodded as they sat on their cots and chairs as they looked towards Kanan. it was going to be a long few hours.
