"I feel as though the sun is gently bathing me." Adrien purrs as he brushes his blonde locks against the smooth skin of Marinette's stomach.
The bluenette was too busy rubbing ash and burnt wood end against his hair to even notice. It was like painting a blank canvas, only she was covering his blonde locks so that he could look somewhat normal in the eyes of every human they were about to encounter. She even did the same, although her hair was covered in mud, creating a brown look.
(2 hours earlier)
"Where are we going?" Marinette asked as she pulls and tugs on various spider webs that she had collected throughout the night. Miraculously, and with some heavenly magic, creating a white silk skirt that was easy to both wrap and cover her lower reigns that went down below her thighs.
"We need to find a man, Master Fu. He lives up in the mountains." Adrien started as he removes the dirt from his shirt. "That old creature may know what we need to get home."
"We?" Marinette asked in annoyance. "Don't you mean you? Because last I checked, my wings aren't broken!"
"Sure, fly away! Good luck getting past the barrier, and also our tethered string." Adrien tells her. Marinette raised an eyebrow at him. Causing him to look at her confused.
"The tethered can't be at a certain distance to each other or else our string pops! Then we die at the same time, miraculous, at the same minute." Adrien explained.
"And the barrier?" She asked. Adrien about to explain the barrier, but suddenly stopped when he realized:
"Your 1,000 years old and you are don't know about the barrier?" Adrien asked.
"I am 800 hundred years old! And no, I don't know about the barrier!" Marinette growled. Adrien turns around, letting out a loud growl before walking forward. Marinette soon follows next to him as he begins to explain.
"The barrier is an invisible magical wall that keeps humans out of both heaven and hell." Adrien started. "It also protects them from us, for example, when it rains blood in my home, humans aren't affected by it."
"Why aren't humans allowed in our worlds?" Marinette asked confused. Adrien couldn't help but chuckle at her.
"Easy. Humans are flawed creatures. Their sole purpose in life is to be our servants or food. Either or personally." Adrien chuckled. "I am not too sure what they are good for Angels, but I do have a couple of theories."
"And we can't go back home because of the barrier because?" Marinette asked.
"When we fall into the human world, we automatically create a body. A physical being that allows us to talk to men and breed with women. These bodies cannot enter into our world." Adrien explained.
"But we can still do magic and stuff? Such as summoning our wings?" Marinette asked.
"Yep, being that our souls are considered not of this world, we can still do that. But we can suffer the same things they suffer, like hunger, having to use the shit hole, the start of having strench…" Adrien says as his smile soon disappears when he found himself stepping out of the forest and into the town of busy people. Soon, his happy-evil grinning express turned into doubt when waves of worriment soon overflowed his body. Especially when eyes began to look their way.
"We can also die," Adrien said, making Marinette's eyes widen to the size of plates.
"WHAT!?" Marinette shouted! Her voice echoed off the wood and grass around her, gaining the attention of everyone around them. All eyes were on them, even the town drunk! Adrien started to sweat when the feeling of a threat was no too far away. Slowly, he takes Marinette's hand then escorts her through the town of prying eyes.
"Why are they all looking at us?" Marinette asked as she allows the demon male to drag her with ease by the hand.
"Mostly you. You're a pretty Chinese infused white girl. And you wearing clean white clothes, and exposing most of your body doesn't help the matter either. Plus your hair is blue, so there's that…" Adrien says.
"What's a Chinese? What's a white girl? What's the matter with my hair being blue?" Marinette asked. Adrien was about to open his mouth to say something, but stops mid-way and shakes his head.
"I'll explain later," Adrien said as the two continued to walk. As they walked, Marinette begins to examine the world around her. Watching the many people wearing dark colors go on with their lives. Yelling, talking to other people, animals running amok, children playing the streets. The thing that Marinette notice the most was that she saw mostly men in the streets than women. In fact, every time she saw a woman on the streets, they either had a child to their hip. Or was cleaning something. The other thing she notices …and was deeply disturbing to her, were the people with dark skin.
They were…being treated horribly on the streets. They were holding large bags, being thrown to the ground and spit on, both men and women were talking cruel to them as if they were nothing but animals in their eyes. One woman, in particular, had just thrown a child to the ground, making their faces hit the wet dirt below them. Marinette gasps at the sight of the kid being thrown to the ground like a rag doll. Stopping in her tracks, she walks over to the child and helps the small kid up to her feet. The small girl was crying.
"Are you okay?" Marinette asked as the child quickly removes herself from the woman. The little just looks to the ground before walking to the side of the wall. Placing her eye against the wood. Marinette walks over to talk to the child some more, only to be stopped when a woman in bright red robes shouted at her.
"Stay away from her! I spend 100 coins on that stupid slave! And I will not have some yellow chin take her away!" She shouted at Marinette. The blue-eyed Angel just gives her a surprised look, then turns to Adrien.
"What is wrong with her?" Marinette asked. Adrien just walks over to her and grabs her hand.
"Entitled, come on!" Adrien growled. His words were enough to set the young woman in rage.
"How dare you speak to me like that! I am Genevie Quencer! Daughter of Big Daddy clothes and ink!" Genevie shouted at the top of her lungs. Once again, gaining the attention of everyone around them. Marinette looks at the young woman.
"Your not a very nice person," Marinette tells her. Genevie's face turns bright red, her left eye twitches as she grinds her teeth together.
"How dare you! I can have your entire family in chains this very second! I demand to know who brought this white silk wearing whore into my town!" Genevie screamed! Her voice was sending chills down Marinette's spine. While Adrien looks around the area to see men approaching them.
"Look, lady!" Adrien started. "My wife and I are just passing by! We mean no trouble."
"Trouble you will get!" She shouted. Grabbing a rock from the ground, she hacks it over to Adrien, throwing it straight to the side of his stomach. He lets out a low growl before giving the woman a death stare. His eyes sparkled bright red, shooting straight into her eyes. Turning her dark brown eyes red for a few seconds, soon, she fell backward. Closing her eyes, she begins to twitch violently as her mouth foams.
"Oh my god!" A man shouted as he runs to her aid. Quickly, while everyone's eyes were connected to the young woman who was, in modern medical terms, was having a seizure. Marinette gasped at the horror as Adrien drags her back into the forest they had fallen. Grabbing clothes in the process, he runs into the darkness that the leaves and the trees provided, escaping the humans. Once the two were in the woods, Adrien drops all the stuff he had grabbed violently to the ground. He then turns to Marinette and shouted:
"DON'T TOUCH THE FUCKING BLACK PEOPLE!"
Adrien screamed at the top of his lungs. It was loud that birds flew away to escape the demons rage. Marinette stared at the young man in horror, somewhat surprised at his rage. Which was a first because he never seemed to have gotten this angry, even when they were fighting.
"I am sorry, but she was behaving awful," Marinette spoke, but that did not stop Adrien from continuing his rant.
"I had to use my powers, in broad daylight to make sure you weren't taken!" Adrien shouted. "Do you have ANY idea what exactly the world is? Any?"
He growled at her. Marinette looks to the ground and shakes her head at him. Feeling like an ashamed puppy being talked down by their master.
"I…" Marinette started. "I know humans are flawed, but…that's it."
"Flawed wouldn't be the word." Adrien said in a sarcastic tone of voice. Marinette crosses her arms in annoyance before growling.
"Why are you so upset? What is the worst they could have done to us?" Marinette asked. All of a sudden, a dark cloud soon appears before them, creating a looming shadow over Marinette head as Adrien's eyes begin to turn red.
"They are more than FLAWED." Adrien started. "They take people from their homes. They beat them with metal and leather made from the bones and skin of animals. The strip them of their humanity. Then they place them on display so that they can be sold like a trinket on a store shelf. Afterward, it is even worse, they've stripped again. Having what's left of their culture, history and even the foundation of their own being torn away. And once there is nothing left but just a hollow shell, they are forced into slavery."
"Adrien…" Marinette muttered, somewhat hoping for him to stop.
"A lifetime sentence that certain humans believe they have the right to do. Playing the role of god over being that they never flicked a finger to create. And what's worse, it goes farther than that! You think this train of suffering is over, but it doesn't end!" Adrien growled. "And you! You wanted to put this cycle onto us! You wanted for us to be turned into a horrible whole shell of nothing. That is why I am pissed! That is why you are not allowed to go or listen to anyone with dark skin color! Do you understand me!"
"Yes…" Marinette muttered.
"We are in the human world Marinette! Shit is beyond both of our control! And I will not use my powers all the time, especially when it comes to the cunt of a daughter whose father is the main man who controls the slave trade!" Adrien shouted again. Marinette was nodding her head the entire.
"I understand…" Marinette spoke. Adrien's eyes soon revert back into their pretty green orbs, allowing the blonde to take a sigh and relax. Turning around, he looks down at the pile of clothes he had stolen.
"And now we can't even show our faces till the sun goes down!" Adrien growled before both of his hands grips his blonde locks. "Dam, you…you…you stupid Angel!"
"I am sorry…" Marinette muttered. For the first time in their newly developed relationship, Marinette realized that the demon was right, hopefully, the only time too! But none the less, he was right, and she would have to accept it and think of a way to fix it.
"Where is this man…Fi?" She asked, causing Adrien to fix himself before looking at her.
"Fu, we call him Master Fu." Adrien says, fixing his ruffled locks in the process. Marinette nods her head in agreement.
"Well…since people have seen us…actually! I got an idea!" Marinette said in glee. Walking over to the pile of clothes, she gathers each piece into her hand. "Follow me! And burn some wood while you are at it!"
(Two Hours later)
"My head hurts…"
Adrien moans as he ruffles his black locks. His hair was now combed back, making the puffy appearance it always had to…well, die, lay flat on his head. His eyes were no longer green, but now a dark blue and his teeth were not yellow, which annoyed him.
"Don't worry, headaches go away." Marinette chuckles as she pulls down her dress. Her hair was now black, her eyes the color of green and her lips were painted red from nearby berries. Her dress was a dark brown dress with a dark blue apron over it.
"How do I look?" Marinette chuckled.
"Beautiful." Adrien thought. Only to shake the thought from his head to say:
"Like a human, as you should be!" He growled, turning around to look to the side. Marinette pouts at his response.
"Come on, the sun is going down. Let us go find Fu…" Adrien muttered as he begins to walk through the woods. Marinette soon follows not too far behind. As they walked, Adrien begins to think…
