"Why is that man pushing his lower half into that female?"
Marinette asked as she points to two humans making love behind a building that they were crossing. From the looks of it, the woman seemed to be a prostitute from the lack of clothes she had. But Marinette didn't know any better. She seemed to want to say something but was stopped by the demon next to her.
"Your promise." He growled. Causing Marinette to sigh and nod. With her head lay down none the less, the two proceeded to walk into the streets of the small town. And oh boy, it had drastically changed!
Women of the night throwing kisses to everyone who past them. Men laughing and drinking out in the streets as some even dance against the midnight sky. Buildings were lightened up by various of lights, leaving shadows in the window of the building. Other men on horses rode around the area, watching the village carefully.
The high spirits and laughter almost made Marinette smile. While Adrien, on the other hand, was strongly focused on the possible threat nearby. One that he wouldn't tell Marinette, because it was not needed.
"How far till we get to his shop?" Marinette asked the demon as her eyes spot a horse drinking water from a dirty puddle. It looked weak, its bones sticking out of its sides as bugs fly over its head. The poor creature looked to be on its last legs, and it just stood there drinking dirty water as horses around it drank clean water from barrels.
"We turn here and it will be there," Adrien responded before looking over his shoulder to see Marinette had left his side. Already breaking her promise, Marinette was standing over the unhealthy horse drinking water from a dirty puddle. Pressing her finger to the puddle, it begins to glow a bright shade of white as if someone had shined a light upon it. Soon, the dirty water turned clear, and the horse continued to drink.
"Enjoy," Marinette spoke before turning to look at Adrien. His red eyes were burning red! Upset at the sudden use of magic she had done. But the angel didn't care. With a gentle rub of the horse neck, she turns around to walk over to be by Adrien's side once again. The two proceeded toward a small-shack like building with a funny scent of herbs burning outside.
"What's that smell?" Marinette asked as she walks closer towards the building, being engulfed by the scent of mystery.
"Incenses," Adrien growled before covering his nose. "He burns those stupid things to keep bad spirits away!"
"Do they work?" Marinette asked.
"Weak spirits," Adrien muttered before continuing towards the building. Opening the door, the two enter a large room area with an elderly male sitting in the middle of the room. Once the door had closed, the elder rose from his seat. Turning around, his eyes met to Marinette's instantly.
"An angel?" He spoke as his eyes widen in shock. In haste, he walks right past Adrien to examine Marinette. Pressing his hand against her head, he closes his eyes to feel her magic.
"What is he doing?" Marinette asked.
"Some humans are born with the unique ability to see us. He is one of those people." Adrien explained. The elder male removed his hand from Marinette's head. Placing the hand that was on her head to his heart, he closes his eyes then nods his head.
"I feel the peace of the world against my soul. Rushing through my blood, putting all my sins at ease." He spoke. His voice was calm and gentle, somewhat welcoming to the young woman. Adrien, on the other hand, didn't much care for the elder's feelings.
"Fu, I need to talk to you for a second," Adrien spoke before looking over to Marinette. "Go outside, we need to talk."
"I will dump my body in holy water," Marinette growled, making the older male looks at them confused.
"What is the matter?" He asked. Marinette rolled her eyes before saying:
"He tethered our souls together. Now we're bound by some sort of magic that keeps us together in some sort of horrible magical way!" Marinette growled. The older male in the room (by looks, I am pretty sure Adrien is older than him) looks to the blonde demon.
"Are you insane!?" Fu shouted at the blonde. He even smacked him across the back of the head with a stick he pulled out somewhere unknown. Marinette flung as Adrien growled, somewhat annoyed by his behavior.
"Be thankful you are unique. Most people don't survive after hitting a demon." Adrien growled.
"Tethering souls is no joke, Adrien!" Fu shouted. "Only lovers and two half's are allowed to do that! You have no right to control another soul, especially one that is not of your own kind. Did you learn nothing from the last soul you tried to take."
"That's because I failed, besides, she fine."
"She's a demon now."
"He was talking about me," Marinette spoke then points to herself.
"Look, angels are demons if you shined them into the light." Adrien chuckled. He was acting cocky and it just upset the two other people in the room. Fu, who was giving him a deadpan expression, turns his attention to Marinette.
"What importance do you play to him?" He asked.
"I am the holy maiden of nature." Marinette started. "The seasons don't change until I say so. I must sing into the sun to let it know that it is time to sleep…and well, yea."
"So hard of a job." Adrien chuckles as he crosses his arms. "Meanwhile, I am collecting souls while ACTUALLY helping people."
"Were not getting crops, are we?" Fu asked in somewhat of a deadpan voice as if he already knew the answer but just wanted to make sure. Adrien looked as if he was going to say something smart, or rather insulting. But stopped when he had no choice but to shake his head in agreement.
"You are going to make thousands of people starve, just to make that girl human again?" Fu asked. Adrien lets out a low grunt sound.
"This isn't about my magic or a deal I failed!" Adrien growled loudly. His green orbs turn crimson red as fang begins to grow on the sides of his mouth. "There is someone I failed, and for that, she is a monster! I am going to fix what I swore to do!"
"Selfish pride!" Fu growled.
"I AM a demon," Adrien responded back before Marinette looks at the front door. Her left ear twitches a bit, hearing some sort of disturbance around her. Turning around, she walks over to the door. Opening it, she peaks through a small crack of the door to see the humans crowding around something. Leaving the house, Marinette follows the two men who were running back to what appeared to be the town square. Walking, she soon found herself staring at her own creation.
The horse she had given water too. The creature was no longer a dying horse in the middle of town to be laughed at by humans. But rather, a beautiful creature with pure white silk-like fur that made it shine against the dim light from the candles all around. The creature was staring at all the humans looking at it, amazed and somewhat entertained by the attention it was getting. Marinette couldn't help but smile at the creature's joy as it receives both praise and love.
"What a magnificent creature!" A woman spoke as she pets the wonderful horse. Its blue eyes stare at the woman, amaze by her behavior before leaning down to drink more water Marinette had blessed. The angel smiles a bit before walking over to the crowd. Gentle moving towards the horse by sliding in between the gaps of people. Once close, the horse looks straight at Marinette.
In joy, the large creature jumps up in excitement, wagging its tail in as it bows its head to her. Marinette chuckles a bit before bowing to the creature. She then pets its head, making the creature look up to her.
"What's your name?" She asked the horse. But the horse did not respond in words. Instead, the creature lets out a long screeching sound before sitting down. The people around town watch in amaze as the young woman commands this horse in some way.
"Marinette!" Adrien shouted as he pushed a male aside to get to her. His eyes still green, but not of anger but with worry.
"Oh, Adrien! I made a friend!" Marinette shouted as she points to the horse. All of a sudden, the four-legged creature stood up and began to growl at the fake raven-haired male, baring its teeth.
"A friend?" Adrien asked.
"What is that creature doing?" A human woman spoke as the horse glares at Adrien. The demon raises an eyebrow at the creature.
"Interesting," Adrien muttered before turning around. "Come on, we're going."
"But what about Pegasus?" Marinette asked as she points to the white horse. Adrien shrugs his shoulders at her.
"Bring the horse, I don't fucking care. Just come." He growled at her. Marinette crosses her arms before following the demon. Behind her, Pegasus with his head down but still growling at Adrien. As the two walk back to Fu's home, people kept looking at Pegasus, admiring the horse's appearance. Which wasn't a shocker because white horses didn't exist in their world…till now.
(Fu's home)
"Is that a white horse eating my mint tea plants?" The elder asked as the horse makes its way into the backyard of Fu's home. Its head was leaning down into the plants that Fu had worked hard on, consuming the unique leaf as if it was nothing.
"His name is Pegasus! Isn't he cute?" Marinette chuckled as she takes a seat down at Fu's dining table. Adrien green eyes were glued on the horse, amazed at its appearance.
"Last Horse I saw blessed, it was headless." Adrien chuckled. "But you…you blessed him."
"What is blessed?" Marinette asked. Adrien nearly fell to the floor at her words. Placing a hand on his mouth, he closes his eyes while shaking his head.
Not today Satan, Not today.
"We're going to need to educate her while were here." Fu sighed as he stares at the beautiful angel before him. Marinette just gives him a sweet smile. "But I don't mind. There is something about you that just makes me want to sing in the rain."
"Lust. Happens to a lot of men your age." Adrien chuckles. Suddenly a glass was thrown in his direction. Luckily he was able to move his head to the side quickly before it made an impact.
"Silence you!" Fu shouted. "Now, I will find a way to untether the both of you so that you may go your separate ways."
"Pardon!?" Adrien chuckled. "I didn't come here for you to sperate us, I want you to open the gates of hell!"
"I will do no such thing for you," Fu tells the young man. Words he shoulder have never said to Adrien.
All the candles in the room flicker, as if an invisible wind was blowing. Marinette's heart begins to race as the hairs on her back rise. Then, one by one, a candle goes out! With each candle, the darkness around the two grew bigger and wider. Marinette, in a state of panic, stood up from her seat with her wings spread out. Preparing for some sort of an escape. Fu was just cross his arms as Adrien closed the doors to the only window of light in the whole house.
Pitch darkness
Not a sound
Not a whisper
Only darkness.
It was like this for a straight minute. Marinette's eyes widening to the point her skull was pushing it back to its original place. When the next minute hit, two crimson red eyes appear before them. Glowing a bright blood-red shade. But the thing that made Marinette frighten, even more, was teeth.
Big white lines that formed a triangle shape connecting to each other. Bended downward in the middle to form a lipless smile that glows with his red eyes. The image alone was horrifying, but the aura around the two was worse. They heard screams from far away, weapons clangy against each other and the screaming cries of babies.
"What's your worst nightmare, Fu?" Adrien asked the smile grow wider. Marinette begins to breathe as her heart was now on full throttle. Terrified of what may to come, Fu, on the other hand, did not flinch. Instead, he opens his mouth to say:
"If I opened the portal, you both will die," Fu spoke. Suddenly in a flash, all the candles were lit and the window doors had open. Revealing a now blonde Adrien wearing his original demon clothes. Marinette was the same, even with her wings out.
"Whew…" Marinette sighed. Fighting a demon is one thing she was not terrified of, but fighting one in the human world was different. Heaven, Earth and Hell all have their own sets of rules when it comes to dying! And the Angel didn't know anything about either Hell nor Earth.
"Why would I die?" Adrien chuckles.
"Do you know EXACTLY what you did when you tethered your soul with her?" Fu asked.
"I did, I made a daddies girl weak against me." Adrien chuckled.
"You also made yourself half an Angel," Fu said. The young-looking male lets off an uneased scoff before his smiles faded away into something of a worried expression.
"Me…an Angel…your joking?" Adrien muttered. Again, Fu did not look pleased or amazed by Adrien's confusion. Walking over to the side of his home, he walks over to a bookshelf. Pressing his hand against the edge of a large book, he pulls the book out then made his way towards the dining table Marinette was near.
As he sets the book down, Marinette dismissed her wings and stood next to the older male as Adrien stood on the other side. The book was pitch black with melted gold on the cover. From the look of the writing, it appeared to be written in someone's blood on the top of the gold. When the man opened the book, Marinette gasped in horror at what she saw. The pages were made of skin! Human Skin that seemed to have already cut in written words!
"What is that!?" Marinette asked.
"Book of all, it's a gift from both sides." Adrien chuckled. "Only two were made, we don't know where the other one is."
"The Book of All?" Marinette asked.
"When God and Satan shook hands for the first time, two humans witness it." Fu started. "In this agreement, they sore to put every living thing in the right place when it passes on into their world. It also was said that they could not interfere with each other's work personally. Two humans were there to witness this agreement. A man and a woman. Who cut into their own skins to make the books as they wrote down the laws of Earth and their realms. We seers are given these books to help both Angels and Demons. Sadly, the book made for the Angels has gone missing for hundreds of years, leaving us only with the one for demons."
"Is that why Angels don't come to earth?" Marinette thought.
"The demon books will not answer many questions for you Marinette, but there are some that will help our situation, such as this," Fu says as he points to a sentence of a page he had turned to. It was about how humans made deals with demons.
"When a human makes a deal with a demon, they create what is know as a contract." Marinette started to read. "This contract binds souls, allowing the two to be one. As time goes by, humans are allowed to use the demon's powers, but in exchange, they must give away their human side to the demons. Damming the human to hell for eternity. But Angels are different in this matter."
"Angels and Demons are one of the same coins." Adrien read. "They were created from the same dust as man, but not blessed by the same sun as them. They are equal as thus two sides of a coin. If their souls were tethered, they would absorb each other, becoming the unknown."
Adrien read. His mind started to race for some sort of answer that he thought he might have known. Only for reality to kick him hard across the face when he realized he didn't just hurt Marinette, but also hurt himself in the process.
"Oh my dark Lord, I might turn into an Angel?" Adrien muttered, a second later he flew across the room. Hitting the bookshelf in the process, causing all the books and what knots to fall down on top of him. One book even fell on top of his head, rendering him confused.
"YOU BASTARD!" Marinette shouted. "I DON'T WANT TO BE A DEMON!"
"I don't want to be an angel…" Adrien moaned in pain. "You need to separate us, Fu, there got to be some way to fix this."
"Weirdly there is, but it will take some time," Fu spoke as he closed the book. "We shall speak in the morning."
"THE MORNING!?" Adrien shouted this caused the elder man to chuckle a bit.
"Yes, I am very old Adrien. I need my rest. I will see you when the sun rises until then, make yourself at home."
The older male chuckles before giving Marinette a kind smile. The half -angry angels let out a low chuckle before waving at the old man. Since the two weren't from this world, they didn't require sleep yet. So, the two were forced to wait…
Kikkie: I am going to say this now...SEASON THREE SUCKS!
Oh my god, it's the worse season so far! This season was basically showing us that everyone can be a hero, and personally, I didn't like it! I get it, anyone can be super, but it basically got to common to the point that I didn't care. I will admit, I didn't care for everyone else becoming Mirculiouse holders, I thought that idea was stupid and that we should have kept the original five. And that's another thing...
I hate what they did to Chloe! Chloe was becoming a good girl and Lila was becoming the new Queen Bitch! Why the fuck would they do that to her in that episode! I agree with Chloe to be honest, if LB went to someone else with MY power and told them to save MY PARENTS with it, it would be a huge insult! I am sorry Marinette, but that was cold-hearted and I am not going against Chloe on that one.
And Chat Blanc was another episode that pissed me off. You basically just dangled stack of cash in front of my poor hand. Then pulled it away as I was in reach. How dare you show me what I want then take it away!
And another side, please stop hurting Adrien and please make Marinette a bit smart. She seems to be a bit dumb when it comes to people's feelings, and it annoys me. Please fix this!
With that being said, thank you for reading! Have a lovely day!
