At a secret location known to very few, a General was overseeing the delivery of a new experimental device. He was talking with the device's inventor over the safety of the device. "Are you sure that this device is safe, Hakase? The initials spell out"death" in English."
The scientist tutted. "Don't concern yourself too much, General. The Device Able to Terminate Humanity is just my assistant Kanon's idea of a joke. It doesn't have the capability to do what the translated name claims it can. You'd need a large amount of energy equal to 300 times the normal output of a nuclear reactor. Plus we haven't yet finished making the necessary modifications to it."
"Thank you for that information.", one of the soldiers said, interrupting their conversation. "I'll put your DEATH machine to good use, Hakase." With that, he dropped his disguise, revealing Replakor. Before anyone could move to stop him, his robot troops appeared and began slaughtering the soldiers. Then Replakor turned on the scientist. "Replakor Fire Soul, Ignite!" The wheel of alchemical symbols in his head turned to Mars as he launched a fireball at the man, incinerating him. Then Replakor turned to his robots, who had finished killing the humans. "Load the device onto the truck. I need to make some adjustments to it."
Elsewhere, Mina and 3 of the other Sailor Scouts (Mako was still missing) had gathered outside the radio station where Mio Kuroki broadcast her show. They were waiting for her to come out and then they could take her out without much fuss. Especially since they had gained the Sword of Mona since this Youma had first appeared. But when she did come out, it was a guarantee that non of them thought that what she said next would be said. "Ah, I was wondering when you girls would show up."
"What?", was all Rei could say in response. "How could you have known? We've told no-one outside of our main five."
As if on cue, a humanoid fly woman appeared from the shadows and lumbered over to Mio. "Indeed, Sailor Mars. And your friend here relayed that information to me." She saw that none of them could recognise the creature. "Oh, she's had a little bit of a makeover since you last saw each other. Why don't you show them the old you, darling?" On command, the fly woman transformed, revealing a face that shocked everyone of the Sailors.
It was Mako, now feral and hissing. Ami was the first to realise what had happened to her. "It must be the after-effects of that time she was infected and almost transformed into a Youma.*"
"Right you are, Mercury.", Mio responded, beginning to undergo a transformation of her own, becoming a plant-like creature. "While you may have defeated Flytrap and Kyurene, thus reversing the transformation. They were brought back as part of the Chimera you faced recently. That allowed their venom within her to reawaken. And since her Jupiter powers had grown stronger since then, the venom likewise grew stronger, stripping her of her free will and making her into this mindless beast."
It was then that Mina decided to speak up. "And you've decided to tell us this why? We're about to finish you off and restore her to normal anyway."
"Oh I know you will.", Mio smiled, as Ninjana and the 3 loaned Shadows (Gamecen, Boxy and Bakene) teleported in. You'll have to defeat my quartet of lovelies first." With that, she and the Jupiter-Youma teleported out.
And thus the battle began, with Venus facing Ninjana, Moon facing Boxy (well, calling it a fight would be being generous. Usagi spent most of the fight trying to avoid his hits), Mercury against Gamecen and Mars against Bakene. Several hits were made on both sides, with neither going down for the count.
That was until Mercury came up with an idea. An idea that had been staring the four Scouts in the face the whole time. "Sword of Mona!", she cried out. The Sword, as it was magically inclined to do, appeared in her hand, and generated the armour around her body in a shroud of water. "Aqua Armour Sailor Mercury, Ready!"
Seeing this, the other Youma stopped fighting and started cowering. They all tried to make a break for safety, but the empowered Sailor Mercury was too fast for them.
"Mercury Corona Freezing Symphony!" With one slash of the Sword, the four were frozen solid, unable to move. Mercury then detached the Legendary Blade and threw the Crescent Moon Wand to Sailor Moon. "Do it now, before they recover."
Sailor Moon nodded, before holding the Wand up and performing her ritual. "Moonlight Healing Escalation!" His more powerful version of her previous healing attack encompassed all 4 Youma. They all reverted to their normal identities, with 3 of them briefly displaying the 3 acolytes (well, 2 acolytes and a Jaguar) they had been in their past lives.
Before the girls could properly celebrate, a voice rung out. "Oh dear, you've managed to take out 4 of my best warriors. Looks like I'll have to deal with you sooner than I'd planned." Before any of them could respond, they were swept into a vortex and blown far away, as was a young man about to enter his apartment.
