I was feeling sentimental so I just thought I'd put in a loving filler chapter. 3

Chapter 67

Our Future

I stayed outside and took watch while Potter talked with his sister. I didn't think she'd tell him, though a small part of me wished she would. I was guessing she was afraid of what her brother might say or think if he knew that she was still in contact with Snape. I pushed my hair back and scratched my chin. I needed a shave and a haircut. I heard someone running and Lily ran out of the tent.

"Lily!?"

Potter came out next and he looked furious. He turned his anger to me.

"You knew too, didn't you!"

"Knew what? What did you say to her?!"

He grabbed me by the front of my shirt and pulled me close.

"Snape. Did you know he wrote her that letter?"

So she didn't tell me everything.

"Yes."

He threw me back.

"You prat!"

"Hey! Look at it from her point of view! She knows you hate her dad. Try putting your anger aside! She still loves her dad no matter what he's done! Git!"

I went after Lily. She was by a little pond. She wasn't crying, she was just sitting there.

"Lily?"

She looked up at me. I sat beside her and she laid her head on my shoulder.

"I know he hates my father. I'm not upset, I'm just giving him time."

I put my arm around her and kissed the top of her head.

"I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do when this is all over."

I smiled a bit.

"I hope marrying me is still on the list."

She laughed softly.

"It's at the top."

She looked into my eyes.

Lily's POV

I reached up and touched is cheek.

"You need a shave." I said.

He chuckled.

"I know. Your lips are getting redder every time we kiss because of it."

She arched her brow.

"I don't mind... for now."

He tucked a lock of hair behind my ear.

"I want a house outside London. Maybe in the countryside."

"That sounds lovely. Fresh air, someplace for the kids to play."

I smiled a little more.

"At least three children, maybe four."

His eyes widened.

"Four? I'll have to work over time."

I couldn't help but laugh.

"I'm alright with that. In our own home, with a big fourposter bed?"

"Hmm, I like the sound of that." he said.

"We'll have dad over for the holidays, and your mother of course... and if you wanted-"

"No! I don't ever want my father around you or whatever children we have."

I took his hand.

"Then we won't. And we'll teach the children to hex him on sight."

He smiled a bit.

"We can go into London before Christmas, get all our shipping done. We'll have a big, fresh Christmas tree in the family room."

"I'm seeing a lovely Christmas dinner."

I chuckled and elbowed him lightly.

"Does that mean you're gonna cook it?"

"Hey, I think I can cook... sometimes."

I smiled at him.

"And what about Po... what about Harry?" he asked.

"Hopefully he'll be with Ginny. That way we can have a family Christmas dinner."

"Just having a family would be enough for me."

I turned his face to mine and looked into his eyes.

"We'll have all that. I have hope that we will. I'm more than willing to fight so we can have that future."

He answered me with a loving kiss. When we separated he just held me in his arms.

"I'll make sure you have the future you want, love. That and so much more." he told me.

I smiled and closed my eyes.
