Pairing: Kurokiba Ryou x Kagome Higurashi

"Hmm~".

Tapping her fingers on the counter of the kitchen work table, red eyes narrowed slightly as she observed the movements of the new transfer student. Chopping here then mixing there. Alice had spoken to her a few times, but something about her caught her attention - she just could not put her finger on it.

"Alice-sama."

"What is it Ryou?" Alice sighed, giving her assistant a pout for interrupting her observations. "Can't you see I am trying to figure out the new transfer student?"

Blinking with dead fish eyes, Ryou turned his head over his shoulder to see the named miko working with her own partner to complete the dish for class. With a simple nod, Ryou returned to cutting the meat. "Kagome? What about her?"

Alice blinked, taken back by the tone. Did Ryou know the girl to be calling her by first name bases? Raising a brow, Alice leaned towards the black haired male. "You know her?"

"Kagome?" He questioned again, looking up from his task, "yeah. We have spoken a few times. She asks for help in some recipes."

"And she comes to you!?"

This was the biggest news she ever heard. Since when did a person come ask Ryou for help? Everyone was intimidated by him and even more after witnessing him putting on his bandanna. Crossing her arms and legs, Alice's eyes tightened to observe Ryou's facial expressions. "And? What do you think of her?"

"Kagome?"

"Yes her!" She exclaimed. How many times did she need to clarify the subject of their conversation?!

Shrugging his shoulders, Ryou walked over to the stove and placed the minced meat over the skillet. "She's nice although I have noticed she daydreams a lot. Whenever she does I just watch her."

"You…watch her?" Alice whispered. Moving her gaze to the miko, she quickly noticed the calm personality she held as she cooked. Her eyes landed on her assistant; memories of the male going berserk when a cooking competition was held. Resting her chin over her palm a smile broke off on Alice's lips. "Do you enjoy her company?"

Without looking at the pale woman, Ryou replied with a shrug. "Sure."

Alice chuckled as a thought clicked into her mind. She was curious, but she knew Ryou needed someone to control his temper sometimes. If he did his own observing on the girl, that meant he was interested on the girl. "Then that settles it."

"What settles it?" He raised his eyes to the Nakiri girl. Watching her get off her stool, Ryou blinked as he noticed her walking around their work station and towards the girl of their conversation.

"Kagome-chan?"

"Huh?" The miko looked over her shoulder and blinked at the sight of the pale woman holding a smile. "Ano…".

"Nakiri Alice," she introduced herself, "I am afraid you have spiked my interest, or should I say Ryou-kun's?"

"Excuse me?" Kagome tilted her head to the side. "What do you mean-".

Clamping her hands over the miko's, Alice leaned forward, "it will be nice to see Ryou's love life grow. I will accept you into the family."

As Kagome's hands were released, she was left with blank blinks. What was she talking about? Her eyes rose to see Ryou looked back at her before he gave her a shrug. What did he tell Alice?
