Did they really not notice it? It was right above them; it was directly above them. With his cheek pressed against his palm, Saitama blinked at the obliviousness of the two standing at the entry way to his living room.
It was there for a reason!
"Oi."
Hearing Saitama's voice, both the miko and cyborg turned to see his bored expression on them. Having come out of the kitchen with a few of the dishes she had prepared for that Christmas evening, Genos had offered himself to help carry the things over to the table while Saitama had been left in charge of decorating.
"What is it, Saitama-san?" Kagome blinked.
Both noticed his finger pointing above them. Tilting their heads back, Kagome and Genos blinked at the sight of the small mistletoe that was directly above them. An immediate blush appeared over Kagome's cheeks as she knew the meaning. How did she not see that?
"You gotta do it now." Saitama spoke, "rules are rules."
"Rules?" Genos repeated with a raised brow. "What do you mean, sensei?"
"You don't know?" Saitama was at a loss for words. Did Genos really not know the meaning of landing underneath a mistletoe? Sitting up crossed-legged, Saitama continued to point at the cranberry plant above them. "If two people land underneath a mistletoe you are supposed to kiss. I mean, there are not specific rules of the kiss, so that is up to you."
The hue on Genos' skin reddened as he heard his sensei's lesson. Taking a glance over to the silent miko, he noticed her looking down at the plate in her hands. "K-Kagome-san…?"
"Come on," Saitama waved his hand up and down, "you two can do it."
"S-Sensei. We can't do that-".
Genos was silence upon feeling a pair of lips gentle press against his cheek. The red on his cheeks darkened as he saw the miko come back down on her heels and slowly make her way towards the table.
"Eh~," Saitama whistled, "congrats, Genos. You got a kiss from Kagome-chan. Merry Christmas."
The cyborg blinked in his frozen state as he saw the small smirk appear on Saitama's lips. He knew they were going to go underneath this area? Saitama had worked on the decorations for two weeks and that mistletoe had barely appeared today.
