So my request is: Kagome, now bitter and slightly confused on what to do after her feudal era quest notices how much Orihime reminds her of herself. She ties to dissuade Orihime from helping Ichigo. Of course Kagome fails, and Orihime instead offers Kagome her friendship. She begrudgingly accepts it.

Pairing: Orihime Inoue/Kagome Higurashi

Blue eyes stayed glued on the cheerful strawberry haired female that held a big smile on her face. The few months that she had come to join Karakura High School she immediately noticed the different auras of the people inside her class. It was until one night she had come to catch the same busty female helping the orange haired shinigami.

Orihime Inoue.

That was her name. She was strong and courageous, but she could not believe how much effort she put into helping the orange head. She could tell she was in love with the boy, but Ichigo was too oblivious to notice.

"Kagome-san?"

Looking up, the miko blinked and noticed the said girl looking down at her with a smile. "Orihime-san…".

"What's wrong?" Orihime questioned, tilting her head to the side.

Kagome's eyebrows furrowed, "I wouldn't waste my time."

Confused, Orihime blinked back. Wasting her time? On what? "What do you mean?" she questioned.

She knew she had no right to tell Orihime anything or how to run her life, but she had been in her shoes. She would end up heart broken. "You should give up on helping him. You could do much better on your own."

Orihime blinked once more before noticing the miko's eyes had gone to the source of their conversation. Her view landed on the substitute shinigami as he spoke with Rukia and the rest of his friends. At that moment, Orihime knew who she was talking about. She had only spoken to Kagome a few times and in those times she could tell there was a wall placed around her; a wall protected her heart from others trying to get close.

"Kagome-san?" Orihime turned back to face the miko with a smile. "Would you like to each lunch with me today?"

"Huh?"

Seeing the offered hand in front of her, Kagome raised a brow. Where was this coming from? She just told Orihime to not waste her time-

"I would really like to get to know you better," Orihime spoke. "Let's become friends, Kagome-san." If she could break those walls, she would try and let Kagome know she did not need to move forward with pain.
