Sister Earth- Sisters

Clark Kent landed in the backyard in his Superman outfit and opened the back door. "Diana," Clark yelled out walking in to find Wonder Woman there with a baby in her arms. A little girl was sitting on the floor the helmet in her hands. "Hey, Di." Diana looked up at Clark and gave a halfhearted smile. "I heard about Jay. I'm sorry." Diana husband, Jay Garrick, or otherwise known as the Flash had died in a battle a few days ago.

"Thank you, Clark," Diana said. "Sit." Diana patted the seat next to her and Clark sat. "Meet Elliot. Mine and Jay's son." Clark hadn't met the little boy yet. He wasn't even a month old and Clark had been busy.

"How's Rae doing?" Clark asked looking at the girl.

"She knows," Diana said. "I don't know how but the minute it happened she knew."

"How did she get the helmet?" Clark asked.

"It just appeared," Diana said with a shrug unsure herself, but there was a lot to the little girl's power she did not understand. "Both her mother and father dead. I don't know what I am going to do Clark. Once my maternity leave and leave for Jay's death runs out. I can't leave them in baby care. Henry has offered to help but he has three kids himself and Arthur and Amelia got the meta human gene."

"I could help," Clark said. "I just got out of college and I don't have a job."

"What happened to the Daily Planet?" Diana asked.

"Dean got the job," Clark said a sour look on his face. Dean Kent, or Jal-El, was Clark's twin brother, even if they were not identical. Dean had not become a hero, but had went to be a reporter like Clark. He had gotten the job though and was now flirting up Lois Lane. The crush Clark had for a while and even gave the Superman story to. Clark now doubted that would happen in real life. "And I'm just living with ma. I can come and take care of them during the day."

Diana went and put Elliot in his crib before giving Clark a hug. "Thank you," Diana whispered.

-7 years later-

Clark was in the sky just floating. It had been seven years since he had offered to watch Diana's kid during the day. It had been a couple years later feelings between the two had started. Clark had been too concerned it was too soon for Diana but Diana was the woman who had lived for hundred of years. Jay was not the first lover she had gotten over and would not be the last. It had only been a month since the two had been officially married and Diana had signed the paperwork to let Clark officially adopt Rae and Elliot as his own.

That was when he saw the ship heading to the Earth. Going towards it he saw it crash. Clark recognized the Kryptonian build of the ship and ripped the top off. The sun shined in his face as he held out his hand to the young girl within. Noticing she was wearing his house symbol. Then it occurred to Clark who this was. The cousin who had been sent to protect Kal and Jal but had never shown up. Kara Zor-El had arrived on Earth years too late and she did not take it well when Clark told her the truth in Kryptonese.

Picking her up he flew her to Metropolis texting his mother he would be late and telling Dean to meet him. the two met on top of a building where Clark introduced Kara to Dean and then an argument started.

"What do you want Clark? Us to raise her? You're already taking in two kids who are not yours. One of them is not even your wives' kids," Dean said

"Don't say anything about Rae," Clark said.

"You going to bring her home and just tell Diana your taking another kid. And me and Lois are going well now,' Dean said. "Look I got some friends. The Danvers. They could…"

"No," Clark said. "Do you realize Kara was going to raise us both at the age of 12. If neither of us had the means to take her in maybe, but I can do it. She deserves it. She's our responsibility and if you don't want to take it fine. Just stay away."

"Bye Clark," Dean said turning around and leaving without another word.

Clark sighed looking over at Kara. Glad she did not know English right now. Clark once again picked her up and flew to Smallville. To his old home. "Ma," Clark yelled out and Martha Kent walked out of the house. Little Elliot behind her. The little boy had not inherited his father powers but had gotten all of Diana's.

"Clark?" Marhta asked looking at the teenage girl who was basically hiding behind Clark as Eliot ran to Clark to hug the only father he had ever known. Clark picking the boy up with a smile. He was seven and starting to get big.

Clark explained to his adopted mother about who Kara was and the fight with Dean. "Ignore Dean," Martha said after it was over and smiled at Kara.

"Where's Rae?" Clark asked.

"Up here," a voice called out and a young girl moved on the roof. She was 12 as she looked down. Her father's helmet in her hand. Rae rarely went anywhere without that helmet.

"Have you done your studies today?" Clark asked. Rae and Elliot were homeschooled by Clark and Martha when Clark was busy as Superman. Clark only job being a stay at home dad. Diana made more than enough money for the small family.

"Yeah," Rae said.

"Get down here," Clark said and Rae made a face but ran down the side of the house and stopped right before them to Kara's shock. Rae gave Kara a wave. "We're going home." Clark looked between them and then paused.

"I can run," Rae said getting the problem. Three people to carry and two arms. Hard even for Superman. "I know the way." Clark took out his cellphone and handed it to Rae.

"In case something goes wrong," Clark said. Rae smiled as she took the phone and then ran. Clark picking up Kara again and giving his mother a kiss before flying off.

Later that day during dinner was when Diana came home from work. Kara was sitting at the table next to Rae eating. Clark had gotten Kara a learn English computer program and she was picking it up. "Clark," Diana yelled.

"Um… Diana," Clark said. "Your home early." Clark came out of the kitchen. Diana just pointed. "Oh, Diana meet Kara. Kara this is my wife Diana." Diana waved a little unsure. "Kara's going to be living with us. She's kind of… family."

"You have a daughter?" Diana asked getting the wrong end of the stick. "How could you…"

"Diana, no, she's not my daughter. She's my cousin," Clark said and brought Diana into another room to explain to her who Kara was.

After Clark was done Diana went back to where the kids were eating put her arms around Kara. "Welcome to the family," Diana said. "I guess we need to add an extra bed to Rae's room."

"Hey," Rae said at that moment. "No fair."

"Get use to it," Diana said rubbing Rae's hair who made a face.

….

A noise woke Kara up. It had been a month since she started living with Clark and his wife. She had met Rae's aunt and uncle who had welcomed her. Martha was nice and Clark started homeschooling her as well. Rae was a bit distance. Kara had been confused over her calling Clark by his name and not dad but then learned Clark was not her father and Rae only called her dead dad by dad. She could understand that herself. She could never give the names mom and dad to somewhere else.

Kara had noticed Rae sneaked out a lot at night. She choose not to tell Clark and Diana, but she was curious. So she finally decided to go out the window after Rae. Seeing Rae had gone up to the roof she floated up there. Rae was sitting there looking up at the sky but she wasn't alone. There was a dog up there with her.

"That's a dog," Kara said shocking Rae.

"Kara," Rae said as the dog barked. Kara could see in Rae's eyes she seemed nervous. "Don't tell mom and Clark."

"Tell them what?" Kara asked sitting on the roof herself.

"Tile meet Kara," Rae said rubbing Tile fur. "Tile here is a meta dog." Kara raised an eyebrow. "The stuff that makes meta human. Dark matter, chemicals, aliens, viruses. All that also affects animals and meta animals are not… well liked. Our neighbor had found a meta cat. His mother freaked and called animal services. They don't capture them they kill them. I was too late to save the cat but did save the kittens. "

"You've been saving meta animals," Kara said and Rae smirked. "Every night."

"Yeah, for the last two years. Started at 10. It's simple to run and grab them in secret and the worst injury I ever get is a scratch," Rae said a small as she remembered.

"What do you do with them?" Kara asked curious.

"Grandma helps," Rae said. She did call Martha Kent grandma. "We put them in her barn and then grandma cares for them until we find a safe place for them. All but Tile. She follows me around and with her power it's hard to stop her. She's a teleporter."

"And Martha doesn't tell Clark or Diana?" Kara asked.

"She lets me have my secret," Rae said. "She says Clark and Dean use to do similar things with their powers as a kid and as long as I was not in danger she was fine with it. There aren't many safe places for meta animals."

Rae pet Tile who gave Kara a look. "I'll keep your secret," Kara said. "And I want in." Rae raised an eyebrow. "A kryptonian and a speedster can save more animals than just a speedster." Rae gave a smirk and held out her hand. Kara took it.

"Rae," Kara said. The two had been partnered up for over a month now on saving meta animals. Rae was downstairs on the computer doing a test for her homeschooling. "You almost done?"

"Just need to click submit," Rae said pushing the button. "What's wrong?"

"There's something wrong with Tile," Kara whispered and Rae ran up to the room with Kara. Since the weather was getting colder the two were hiding Tile in the bedroom bringing up food for her. Tile was panting badly and on her side.

"Girl what's going on," Rae said as the dog gave out a moan.

"Um... Rae, is that," Kara pointed and the two looked. A puppy was coming out of Tile. "Your dog was pregnant."

"Should have let grandma examine Tile," Rae said. "Um… towels… water… I don't know."

"What's going on in here?" Apparently, the noise had gotten Clark attention and Clark came in. He paused seeing the dog, but jumped right into action. Growing up on a farm he had seen his share of births telling Kara and Rae what to do. Kara was more into the birth helping Clark as four puppies were born. Diana showing up at the end.

After mommy was comfortable and with the babies Clark and Diana took Rae and Kara sat them down and looked. "Who's going to explain?" Diana asked. Her arms crossed as she stared at the two.

"It's not Kara's fault," Rae said. "Tile is mine." So Rae explained about the meta animals and how she had been saving them for the last two years. How Martha had helped. About Tile who refused to leave her so Rae had been taking care of her.

"Two years," Clark said. "Since you were ten you have been a superhero to meta animals and have had a meta dog in our house and we did not notice." Rae nodded. "I should be angry but I am actually impressed."

"Clark," Diana said taking Clark aside. "This is not good."

"Diana, when I was ten I used my strength to lift a car off a baby," Clark pointed out. "This is mild compared to what me and Dean did."

"I was fighting the grown Amazonian in training," Diana said with a nod. "So what do you want to do?"

"I think we should let her keep the dog," Clark said. "She doesn't really have many friends. As for the saving other meta animals we'll put restrictions on it, but she's right. Meta animals don't have a fair shake in this world. And no one to defend them. PETA not exactly coming out for them."

Diana gave a nod and the two turned back to the waiting kids. Told them what they decided. Rae had a smile on her face. "What about the puppies?" Kara asked.

"They need to stay with their mom for a while," Clark said. "But we'll find safe homes for them. I think Rae's cousins could use a pet. And mom likes animals. She could use one to stay with her. We'll figure out the other two. Be good you two."

Kara and Rae went back to the room to check on the dog. "Seems those two are now sisters," Diana said with a smile and Clark smiled himself.

Post Chapter Note: hope you like this Earth. Similar to Amazonian with Rae and Kara being sisters.
