Natsu

"She's this way!" I shout at Erza, continuing my pursuit of the girl.

"I know!" Erza replied.

She must be able to make out the faint shadow in front of us. Not surprised. It is Erza.

Finally, we had caught up to the shadow, before I realized that was just it: a shadow.

"What the hell?!" I snarled out, "She's was just here!"

"And she still is!" Erza shouted at me, "Use your brain Natsu, there was no way she could've ran too much farther with us right behind her,"

"Maybe," I muttered out reluctantly.

I hate it when she's right…. makes me look dumb.

Erza didn't respond, and there was no reason for me to talk so I tried to find the girl's scent and track her down.

"Well she's definitely still here," I told Erza, "I can smell her,"

Erza nodded in approval, as if she were my master or something.

Which she's not.

Without warning, I started running in the direction of the smell. I ran about as fast I could, not wanting to lose her again.

That's when we found her.

Well more like she found us.

"Dammit!" I heard Erza shout from next to me in our water imprisonment, "I forgot she was a water mage! How could I be so stupid?!" Erza said, acting like she had just let the enemy know our deepest darkest secret.

"Relax," I told Erza, not surprised by her outburst, trying to find a way out of the stupid bubble.

"This seems a lot like Juvia's magic," Erza whispers aloud to no one in particular, and then without blinking we're out of the entrapment.

I crack my neck, "Alright, I've got a fire in my belly now, where are you?!" I yell out to the figure.

I know she's here.

Confirming my thoughts, a figure emerges from the shadows.

"Hello," She says gently, taking off her cloak and revealing the girl they all saw earlier in the games, "My name, as I'm sure you know, is Sylvia Lockser," She said, taking a few more steps towards.

Her gentle stature didn't stop me and Erza from preparing ourselves for a fight. I felt heat and flames build themselves around my hands and heard Erza's armor rattle as she prepared for battle.

Reading the mood, Sylvia stopped and held her hands up, "I was trying to trap you in my water dome, so we would be able to talk peacefully, but obviously that didn't work," She said, laughing lightly at her failed attempt.

What is wrong with this girl?! Why does she not care that she was beaten so easily?! It would drive me up the wall if I knew someone (like Gray) escaped me that easily!

Kind of like her and that shadow—no water—trick.

"What do you mean 'talk peacefully'?" Erza asked, eyes narrowed, not fully trusting the person in front of us.

"If you want to talk, how about telling us why you helped Juvia earlier today or why the hell you claim to be a Lockser?" I ask her bitterly.

"Because that's who I am," She says simply, her eyes flicker with shock before returning back to her cool, collected self, "I am not lying, I really am a Lockser," She says before smiling at me cheekily, "It's just like you to not be able to put the pieces together," She says, giggling, placing a hand over her mouth as she does.

"That's what you keeping saying, but what you're failing to explain is why you're here," Erza said, firmly.

"Oh," Sylvia said, "I guess I did forget that part. In all honesty, I'm not quite sure why we're here, all I know is that I want to go back home, and we can't very well do that without carrying out our plan," She says vaguely.

"What plan?" I grind out, not in the mood to beat around the bush.

"That's not for me to say," She says, simply, taking a step back.

"She's gonna run," I tell Erza and immediately pounce towards Sylvia, ready to take her out so we can take her back the others and question her.

That was until I was suddenly trapped in another water dome.

Not this again!

"I don't want to fight you!" She says, her eyes blazing.

She's angry?! Why is she angry?!

Again, I easily make my way out of the water dome, landing on the ground harshly.

"Fine," I say to myself, "That didn't work so how about this!" I yell, "Fire dragon's brilliant flame!" I yell, sending a blazing flame towards Sylvia.

I felt satisfied until the flames cleared away and she was still standing there, completely untouched.

How is she still standing?! She didn't even try to dodge the attack! Is this how those idiots I beat feel when I stand back?! Mavis this sucks!

I crack my neck.

Just means I get more of a challenge!

I prepared to attack her again until I realized it was no longer just her.

Rather, there were three fingers. There was Sylvia, the girl from earlier who Gajeel was fighting—guess it didn't take long to beat him…I'm gonna have fun giving him hell over getting beat by her—and someone new…this girl was wearing a black top with long blonder hair and blazing amber eyes.

She looks like she's ready to burn down the whole damn world down.

"C'mon Sylvia," She says, "We're leaving," She says, her amber eyes locking with mine, and then suddenly a dark shadow falls upon them, and when it clears, they're gone.

"What the hell?" I ask, confused, and tried to find their scent but I couldn't find it, "They're gone," I tell Erza, the upset clear in my voice.

I didn't even get a good chance to fight.

I hope Gajeel at least got one hit on her.

"Come on," Erza says from beside me, "Let's find Gajeel, and then regroup with the others and tell them what happened," She says, her eyes not leaving the spot where the three girls previously stood.

Reluctantly, I agreed.

I wanna see Luce anyway.

Author's Note

Hey My Lil Donuts!

So I know I kind of implied that battle was going to happen and that y'all were going to get to see what Sylvia was made of, but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed kind of out of character for Sylvia, hence why there was no battle scene.

I'm so sorry if you were expecting one, but I promise that later in the story you will get to see Sylvia kick some serious butt!

Regardless of that little fact, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter!

Who do you think the blonde girl was?

And how much crap do you think Natsu is going to give Gajeel when he sees him lol! :)

Thanks for Reading!
