Oh well. In any case, here's the next chapter for you all.

Hope you enjoy~

Disclaimer: Yes I own Digimon... I also turn into a dragon every other month and set fire to the nearest school building... Yeah no. The only things I own Sophia, Sonamon, Vibramon, Rosalie and her Spirits, as well as any changes to the original story.

After the team were told where the Toucanmon had flown off to, and after Koichi's and Sophia's D-Tectors were found, the gang waved the reunited Gomamon goodbye. They jumped back onto the raft, which now had its sail back thanks to the Gomamon, and peddled away. According to the Gomamon they would have to go all the way up north. …Yeah, peddling the whole way there was probably out of the question.

Not only was peddling going to take too long, but it would also just exhaust everyone when they took turns. That's when Zoe remembered. The wind that moved their land-boat back at Togemon's school. If that really was her doing….

"Wha'cha thinking about?"

Zoe snorted at the irony of that question. "Shouldn't you know?" she asked her only female friend.

The brunette gave her a small grin. "Actually, weirdly enough I haven't had any spontaneous thoughts pop up in my head except my own." she told the blonde.

"Really?" Zoe blinked. "So you can't hear our thoughts anymore?"

Sophia just shrugged. "I haven't tried to, so I really can't say. Last time was when Takuya actually wanted me to hear his…"

Zoe thought this over. From what she recalled their abilities always randomly happened. Were they losing the powers… or were they gaining more control?

"Try." Sophia stared in confusion. "Try reading my thoughts. I wanna test something."

Sophia nodded. A bit unsure about the whole thing, but trusting her friend, she focused on Zoe. She never tried to intentionally hear someone's thoughts before… How was she supposed to do this?

Meanwhile Zoe thought again and again about her idea. About everything she was thinking just earlier. Takuya was somehow able to talk to her through thoughts, so she should be able to send hers to Sophia too, right?

Then she heard the older girl gasp. Zoe couldn't help but smile. It worked.

Sophia's eyes were wide. She wasn't sure how she did it, but she heard exactly what Zoe was thinking. "Huh… That's not a bad idea, Zoe." Zoe beamed. "But do you know how?"

"Well, it can't be much different than when I'm Kazemon, can it? Maybe if I just…" She envisioned Kazemon's Hurricane Wave and waved her fingers a little. Suddenly the raft burst forward as the wind picked up.

The others on the raft just barely managed to hold onto something before they fell over.

"Whoa! Where did this wind come from?" Takuya asked bewildered. It had just been a light breeze.

The girls gave each other a sly smile. Apparently nobody had been listening to their plotting. Zoe waved her fingers one more time, speeding up their raft even more.

"Careful Zoe, not too fast." Sophia warned the other girl.

This time the others did hear. All eyes turned to the duo sitting next to each other.

"Wait what?" Takuya exclaimed. "You mean this is Zoe's doing?"

Zoe nodded, waving her fingers one more time for a bit more speed. "Remember our those weird powers we got? I figured since we got our sail back I could get the wind to blow into it." Zoe explained with a smile. "It's a lot faster than peddling everywhere."

"That's true." Tommy agreed. He was still curious to what his power could be.

Nobody could really complain about the speed their raft was going. It went especially well once they entered a fast current.

They were going at breakneck speed through the water, and Zoe's wind showed no sign of calming down yet. "Whoa! This is working great!" He shot a grin at Zoe, who proudly smiled at the compliment. "We should get to that Autumn Leaf Fair thingy in no time."

"Let's hope so." Bokomon felt a bit uneasy with the speed they were going at. What if it would hurt the egg? Did nobody think about the egg?

"And let's hope the Toucanmon are there." Tommy chimed in. He looked around a bit, hoping to find them still flying, but instead all he found was a sleeping Neemon. "How can anyone sleep in a time like this? Doesn't he know we have important things to do?" He scolded the snoring digimon.

JP rolled his eyes, smiling. "Like what? Sweep up the raft?" He waved off Tommy's worries. "Relax."

Sophia winced a little, even though it wasn't aimed towards her. 'Relax, huh?' Leaning against the barrel, she tightened her grip on her jacket. 'How can I relax when my sister is defenseless in the digital world?'

Sure she'd been glad to hear that she was apparently also hit by the world-traveling light too, which meant mom was too, but it scared her that she was chosen as a warrior. When she felt a sudden touch on her tightly clenched fist, she didn't even need to turn around to know who it was. Still staring forward to where they headed, she slacked her grip and murmured a soft 'thanks' to Koichi.

Koichi tried giving her a reassuring smile, but she never turned around to see it. "I'm sure she'll be alright."

"I sure hope so…"

The short haired twin dropped his hand off hers with a sigh. She was worried, and with good reason. He knew better than to tell her everything was okay. It's that famous 'sibling worry' he'd heard some of his classmates talk about. Something he'd recently begun experiencing himself ever since he saw Koji nearly falling off that cliff.

It wasn't long before they exited the stream between the cliffs and sailed into open waters. Or well, as open as it can get with icebergs taking up half the ocean.

"Man, we are cooking along now!" Takuya exclaimed in excitement. If memory served, the Gomamon said that once they entered open water it wouldn't be long before they get to the Autumn Leaf Fair. His grin dropped the moment he felt the cold biting his bare arms. "Well, maybe cooking isn't really the right word." He said through shivers. At least he was wearing gloves.

Zoe had to agree as shivers ran up her arms. "Yeah, I can't feel my fingers."

Koji rolled his eyes at the blonde's words. What did she expect with those clothes? But he decided to take pity on her this once. He took off his jacket and held it out for Zoe, without turning around.

Zoe stared in confusion at the jacket. When he didn't feel Zoe take the jacket, Koji turned around just a little. "Take it."

"Yeah? You sure?" Zoe asked, confused by Koji's rare act of kindness. Seeing him nod, she gratefully took it from him. "Grazie! You're the best."

Well, JP was completely down in the dumps now. Tommy was curious though. From what he heard it was supposed to be cold here. So why didn't he feel cold? I mean, they passed icebergs left and right. It was cold rig- Was Neemon still sleeping?!

"Neemon, you can't sleep in the cold!" he exclaimed in a panic. "You'll freeze to death!"

This worked to wake the rabbit digimon, although he did wake screaming. Typical. Bokomon just stared at the young human in confusion. Freezing to death was unheard of in the digital world. Did humans die from cold? He wasn't sure what to make of it, so instead he focused back to what was in front of them.

Hey, what was-…? "Hey, look at that." Bokomon called. The warriors turned to look. Aside from more water and ice, they didn't see anything noteworthy. What was it that Bokomon saw? "Land ahead!"

Wait what?!

Almost immediately after Bokomon's announcement they hit land, but the wind Zoe called kept them moving. Oddly enough, aside from that small bump, it was still a smooth ride. That was so unlike their usual luck.

"That was way better than I though it'd be." Takuya commented. He figured they'd lose their sail again, or that the mast or something would've broken. Guess they're lucky this time. "But where is that Autumn fair thing?"

Bokomon grabbed his book to look for the answer. He went to the page with the map of the Ice Continent. According to where they came from and with how fast they were going… "It should be just up ahead."

'Just up ahead, huh?' Zoe pondered. She searched around to try and find anything that looked like a Fair, but her eyes found something else instead. "Well, there is something ahead." Heads shot up. "But it doesn't look very fair!"

There was a huge drop right in front of them! So much for luck! After a quick bout of panicking, and after Koji told them to, everyone grabbed a hold of the raft. Zoe quickly made the wind stop blowing in their sail, but it was too late. With the speed they were going at, they fell into the hole. The mast broke as soon as they hit the ground. Despite the lack of wind to push them, they were still going at a breakneck speed.

It didn't help that they were headed straight for a snowman either! They quickly covered their heads and braced for impact. Unfortunately, bracing themselves didn't work as much as they hoped. The moment they hit the snowman, they were pretty much launched off the raft, rolled around a little before coming to a stop. Their raft was in complete shambles now too.

Koji was the first to sit up and scan his surroundings. That's when he noticed something, namely the grass under his palm. "Hey, it's warm here."

Now that he mentioned it, Zoe noticed her fingers didn't feel that cold anymore. "It's warm? Why is it warm?"

Then Takuya's eyes fell on the probable cause of the warmth. "Maybe that!" he said, pointing at a huge boiler standing in the middle of the city. It was surrounded by shops and stands. "Hey! It's the fair-thingy!"

"Autumn Leaf Fair, gogglebrain." Sophia corrected him.

"Hey!"

The gang brushed themselves off a little before walking to the fair. The streets were crowded with digimon, which Bokomon apparently hates, and it was pretty darn big. Multiple streets and countless alleys and side-streets, not to mention the amount of shops the Toucanmon could be hiding in.

Zoe looked around at all the different digimon, not seeing any blue beaked, black feathered digimon like the ones they were looking for. "Even if those Toucanmon are here, it'll be like finding the tiniest needle ever in a million haystacks."

Takuya shared her worries, but did his best not to show it. "So, should we split up and get looking?"

Everyone agreed on that idea and went different directions. Sophia took the first side-street she saw and began asking around. The Pumpkinmon, Kiwimon and Deputymon she asked didn't see any Toucanmon, though Deputymon did promise to keep an eye out for them. Guess he's a real deputy, huh? Sophia shrugged it off and kept walking. She went into a store here and there to ask the digimon behind the counter, but still no luck.

With her luck on this street running out, she took a left into a different street. The first thing she saw there was a Monzaemon on a stage. "He's standing pretty high above other digimon…" she muttered. "He should have a good view of the crowd and anyone around him. Maybe he'll have seen the Toucanmon!"

With hope that her luck will turn around, she ran up to the stage. "Excuse me, Monzaemon?" The girl caught the digimon's attention. "Can I ask you somethiii-"

The girl couldn't even finish her sentence before the teddy bear digimon pulled her on the stage with an excited shout. "Of course!" He pushed a microphone in her hands. "You don't even need to ask! Anyone is welcome to get up here and sing!"

"S-sing?!" Sophia's eyes went to the crowd in front of the stage.

Monzaemon nodded eagerly. "Yes, my dear! Sing! Perform! Show off your voice to everyone!" The crowd cheered loudly, unaware of Sophia's anxiety. "Now, my dear, what song did you want to sing?"

"B-but I…" Sophia's voice gave away.

"Hm? Butterfly, you say?" Monzaemon turned to the digimon in charge of the music. "Do we have that song, Bucchiemon?" The small red and white digimon was searching through a box of records and before long pulled one out, showing it to her boss. "Alright! Butterfly everyone!"

'Crap, crap, crap! I don't know that song! Do I? What am I thinking, of course not! It's a song from the digital world, not the human world! I'm scre-' Her thoughts were put on halt as soon as she heard the familiar notes. 'I-is that? Kouji Wada's Butterfly?' The familiar guitar said yes. Sophia swallowed a lump, touching the D-Tector in her pocket. 'Please, Sonamon. I need some of that digimon courage right now…'

She closed her eyes, pretending to just be home in her room and sang.

Gokigen na chou ni natte kirameku kaze ni notte

Ima sugu kimi ni ai ni yukou

The crowd had quieted down to hear her singing, which helped immensely for Sophia to imagine she was alone.

Yokei na koto nante wasureta hou ga mashi sa

Kore ijou shareteru jikan wa nai

Nani ga wow wow wow wow wow kono sora ni todoku no darou

Dakedo wow wow wow wow wow ashita no yotei mo wakaranai

She took a deep breath and belted out the chorus.

Mugendai na yume no ato no nanimo nai yo no naka ja

Sou sa itoshii omoi mo makesou ni naru kedo

Stay shigachi na imeeji darake no tayorinai tsubasa demo

Kitto toberu sa on my love

The crowd broke into cheers, breaking Sophia from her own little world back into reality. Her breath hitched as she clutched her D-Tector tighter. She really wished she could just Spirit evolve right now. 'Just… Just imagine its your friends… That's not a crowd of digimon, it's Zoe, Koichi, Takuya, Tommy and Koji…and I guess JP.'

It helped somewhat.

Ukareta chou ni natte ichizu na kaze ni notte

Doko mademo kimi ni ai ni yukou

Aimai na kotoba tte igai ni benri datte

Sakenderu hitto songu kikinagara

Nani ga wow wow wow wow wow kono machi ni hibiku no darou

Dakedo wow wow wow wow wow kitai shitetemo shikata nai

The crowd went wild once more at the approach of the chorus. The young singer didn't want to disappoint, so she belted out once more.

Mugendai na yume no ato no yarusenai yo no naka ja

Sou sa joushiki hazure mo waruku wa nai ka na

Stay shisou na imeeji wo someta gikochinai tsubasa demo

Kitto toberu sa on my love

The music stopped before the song actually ended. Apparently they played a shortened version of the song, not that Sophia complained. If it meant getting off this stage, she'd take the short version.

"My dear audience, what did we think of that?!" The crowd was still wild with cheers. "I thought so too! Not the best we've heard, but certainly much better than what Etemon brought us earlier! The song, the voice, and the swaying!" Sophia blinked. She was swaying? "I certainly believe this calls for a prize! What do you think?" More cheers were heard. "That's what I thought! Palmon, my dear. Will you take our dear performer to the prize corner?"

A Palmon walked on stage and took the girl by the hand to lead her to the prize corner. "W-wait, Monzaemon. I still had a question."

Monzaemon turned away from the audience and back to Sophia. "Oh, did you want to perform again?"

"No! I-I mean… No thank you." Sophia took a deep breath. "I just wanted to ask if you've seen any Toucanmon around?"

"Mhh… Toucanmon, you say?" Monzaemon shook his head. "I can't say that I've seen them, my dear."

The brunette sighed. All that trouble for nothing. "Okay… Thanks anyway."

"No, thank you, my dear, for this wonderful performance!"

The crowd cheered once more as Palmon lead Sophia by the hand to the prize corner. Now that she was off the stage, she finally felt like she could breathe again. "Why do we always have the worst luck with Monzaemon?"

Palmon snickered. "He's a big eccentric, isn't he?" she giggled as she brought her to a small stand with all sorts of items littered on the table and the shelves in the back. "Well, this is our prize corner. Take your pick."

There were all sorts of knickknacks and doodads of the table and shelves, all which held no meaning to Sophia. They were probably typical digimon things… Except this…!

Sophia picked up something that looked incredibly similar to a digital camera. Turning it around in her hands, and trying some buttons to make it work she could say with certainty that it was, in fact, a digital camera.

"Oh, you know how to make that work?" Palmon gasped. "We've had that for a while now. A friend of ours found it on one of his journeys. He hadn't been able to sell it, because nobody knew what it was or how it worked, so he gave it to us." she went on to explain. "I'm assuming you're choosing that as your prize?"

Winning a working digital camera for something simple like a karaoke contest… Hell yes!

"Yeah." Sophia confirmed. "I mean, if no one else knows how it works and doesn't want, I'd better take it off your hands, right?"

Palmon nodded happily. "Well, have fun with it."

With that all said and done, Sophia was on her way again. Being pulled aside by Monzaemon wasn't exactly planned and it put her a little behind on her Toucanmon search. She had to find them, or at least find Datamon's shop. She still has her D-Tector, so maybe she can convince Datamon that they belong to them. Well, after Datamon transfers Tommy's Beast Spirit into the D-Tector…

She sighed. 'Who am I kidding? When I try to change something it either changes nothing or ends up in disaster.' She remembered the time she caught the Minomon spy so he couldn't snitch to Snimon, which only ended up in a bigger army than was supposed to. 'Maybe it's better to let everything play out like it's supposed to…' She sighed again. "I don't know what to do anymore…"

She stopped and plopped down in an alleyway. It didn't matter if she searched anyway. This was Tommy's little quest. She grabbed her notebook and pen, writing down each time she tried to change the course of events and how it turned out.

1) Getting Koichi physically to the digital world.

Result: Good, so far.

2) Catching the Minomon spy.

Result: Bad! Snimon's army of Goblimon was twice as big as it was supposed to be.

3) Breaking Tommy from Bakumon's control.

Result: Neutral. Nothing really changed.

4) Trying to convince Seraphimon that they can fight.

Result: Bad! Mentioned the previous humans and got everyone mad at me.

Bonus) Telling everyone about weird power phenomenon.

Result: Bad. Another screaming match between me and JP.

Sophia groaned as she read her notes. With how mad they'd gotten for forgetting to mention the previous humans, she dreaded to think how much they'd hate her once she told them the truth… She couldn't lose her friends. She just couldn't!

Teardrops fell on her notebook, smudging some of the words. The thought of losing her friends scared her. The thought of being alone again terrified her.

"What am I supposed to do? If I don't tell them and they'll find out, I'll lose them forever for sure. If I do tell them, we'll have another screaming match and no doubt they'll hate me." She gripped her hair tightly. "It's a lose-lose situation…"

Taking a deep, calming breath, she took her notebook again. This time writing down the pros and cons of telling the truth, like her mom and teacher told her to do in moments of doubt.

Pros:

1) I wouldn't need to bottle up all this guilt of being able to stop something, but not doing it.

2) My friends could be more prepared for future battles.

3) They won't have a reason to trust me less, because I tell it by my own free will.

Cons:

1) They are going to hate me for keeping it secret for so long, and hate me even more once they figure out I could've prevented the D-Tector theft.

2)It could backfire and they'll never trust me again.

3) The pressure of knowing future events and them potentially asking about it, and me being unable to answer because certain reasons.

Sophia stared at the list blankly. "To hell with pros and cons… This didn't help at all." She threw the notebook on the ground next to her in frustration. "Why couldn't coming here just have erased my memories of the show?" She took a deep breath. "Okay… Let's think logically… Telling them our adventure is an anime is a bad idea. It'll just make things weird between us. But maybe I can hint at future events?"

"Should you chose to stay with your many-a friend.

I foresee bonds of friendship that never shall end."

"And trust in each other, and your friendship."

Sophia shook her head, the voices of Wisemon and Shamanmon ringing through her head. "Friendship is nothing without trust… I have to tell them…" She quickly wiped the fresh batch of tears. "No matter how much they'll hate me."

With uncertainty now on her mind, she grabbed her notebook, pocketing it and grabbed her D-Tector. If she wasn't gonna search for the Toucanmon or Datamon's shop, she could at least search for her sister. With a press of the buttons, the map appeared. There was a violet dot in the middle, herself, and multiple colored dots scattered around the map. White, red, yellow and light blue were together in one place. Datamon's place. Zoe's pink was unmoving in one place, probably participating in that eating contest right now. Koichi's grey was back the way she just came from. Neither was particularly close to her, though. What did catch Sophia's eye quick was an additional green dot.

"Rose…"

Like the others, it wasn't really anywhere close to her, but she'd be damned if she didn't go. Sophia ran, dodging digimon and going through alleyways and all streets to get closer to that green dot that was her sister. She nearly ran over Takuya on her way, who startled yelled after her asking where she was going. It went ignored, though.

Something that didn't go ignored was when she bumped into a digimon while rounding a corner. "I'm so sorry." Sophia apologized quickly, holding out her hand to help the fallen digimon up.

The digimon she'd bumped into, a Biyomon, waved her off. "It's okay, it's okay. I wasn't watching where I was going either." She took Sophia's hand and suddenly seemed to know what she was looking at. "Hey, wait a minute! You're human!"

"Uhmm… Yeah?"

Biyomon jumped up excitedly. "You wouldn't happen to be Sophia, would you? I've already asked some of the other humans, but none of them were, so are you?"

Sophia blinked, very much confused. "Y-yeah… How did you know my name?"

Biyomon didn't answer. She grabbed Sophia's arm with her feet and flew back the direction she came, the direction Sophia was going before bumping into Biyomon.

"H-hey! Where are you taking me?!" Sophia asked, startled by her sudden kidnapping.

"To Rosalie!" Biyomon answered. The girl gasped. Did she just hear that correctly? Upon asking, Biyomon nodded. "Yeah! Rosalie. She's your sister, right?" Sophia nodded. "She's right this way! Come on!"

The pink bird pulled Sophia through another busy street. According to the D-Tector map they were indeed going the right way. "Yeah, she is. But how did you know that?"

Biyomon finally seemed to realize just what she was doing and slowed down to a stop. "Oh, right… You don't know." She let go of the human's arm. "Sorry, I just got excited. I'm a friend of Rosalie's. We met at Trail Race Town and I helped her get to the Autumn Leaf Fair after she missed the Trailmon."

"I see." Sophia panted. Boy, that Biyomon could fly fast. "How is she?"

"You'll see for yourself in a minute. Come on!"

Once again, Biyomon grabbed Sophia's arm and pulled her along the streets until she got to a halt in front of the Trailmon station. There she was, not too far from the entrance sitting on the bench with her full attention to the Trailmon that had arrived moments earlier.

With a sly grin, Sophia snuck behind her. When she didn't appear to have heard her, she tapped her shoulder. "Wha'cha looking at?"

With a start, Rosalie turned. "Sophie!"

Reunited at last, the two sisters hugged. It was an incredible relief to both of them. The hug lasted a good few minutes and some tears were shed, but it was such a relief.

Sophia broke from the hug first, taking a moment to inspect her sister. "Are you okay? You're not hurt or anything?"

Rosalie laughed. "I'm fine. I'm not hurt. I'm just…" The preteen sighed and buried her head in her older sister's chest. "Just really glad you're here. I was afraid I was left behind again."

"Again?" Sophia questioned.

The younger girl shook her head. "I'll tell you later." She let go of her sister and wiped her tears. "So, what's next? You know, right?"

Sophia winced. "Yeah… I know. As much as I don't wanna know." This confused Rosalie, and it showed on her face. "Some of us had our D-Tectors stolen and I could've prevented it. But we also had to come here." she sighed. "I had to let the D-Tectors get stolen, so we'd have a reason to come here, but I still feel guilty."

Rosalie still looked confused. After asking Biyomon the way to Datamon's trading post, the pink bird happily played guide for the two girls. The younger sister grabbed a backpack before they left the station. Sophia raised an eyebrow at that, but otherwise didn't say anything. On the way to the shop she explained the whole situation to her sister.

"I mean, you know those movies right?" she asked at the end of her explanation. "Those movies where one small change causes a butterfly-effect where everything takes a turn for the worst."

Rosalie nodded. "Yeah… But maybe we can make them turn out better."

The older brunette snorted. "Clearly you don't know our luck."

'It can't be worse than mine.' Rosalie thought with a deadpanned expression on her face. "Maybe we can find a middle-ground. You're right that telling them the full truth is awkward as hell and probably a bad idea. But maybe we can work from the shadows."

"Explain."

"Well, you're a worrier, aren't you? Play it off as a gut feeling." Rosalie proposed. "If we have to go somewhere for some reason and won't go there because we stopped something bad from happening, we can… We can… Hmm…"

"We…could plan something ahead of time…." Sophia mussed. "Maybe we could make a plan for when Petaldramon kidnaps Zoe, Tommy and JP."

Rosalie stopped in her tracks, holding her hand up in a high-five pose. "So? Working together then?"

"You bet'cha, lil' sis." Sophia met her sister's high-five. "Oh, by the way, don't get scared now, but there's gonna be an explosion in a few minutes."

"Huh?"

As on cue there was a shout, followed by the sound of a building collapsing. "W-what's that?"

Biyomon, who'd been silently playing guide up until that point, quickly flew up and scanned the town from the sky. Upon seeing the dust cloud, she knew exactly where the sound came from. "That came from Datamon's shop!" she called down to her human companions.

Sophia grabbed her D-Tector. "Lead the way, we'll be right behind you!" she called up. "EXECUTE! SPIRIT EVOLUTION! …SONAMON!"

Rosalie stared in awe at the being her sister had become. With a sly smile and a wink, Sonamon grabbed her sister by the waist and lifted her up. They followed Biyomon to Datamon's shop, or well… the debris of what used to be his shop. They were just in time to see Takuya and Koji getting knocked to the ground by Petaldramon.

Sonamon didn't even think before diving in front of them, leaving Biyomon in the dust. "SONAR BOOM!" She created her sound-wave shield to cover her and the boys as soon as she put her sister down.

The protection turned out to be unnecessary as Tommy had already Beast Spirit evolved into Korikakumon and held the beast warrior of wood by the tail. Taking advantage of Petaldramon's momentary distraction, the group of defenseless humans ran out of the line of fire. Tommy Beast Spirit evolved and records show there hasn't been much luck when it comes to controlling Beast Spirits.

Petaldramon was now irritated. That little pest caused his play-toys to run away! Well, if that's how he wanted to play it, he'd just take out his frustrations on the white pest! He turned around to attack, but before he could land a hit, he was punched right in the snout. The force of the punch knocked him off his feet and made him fall flat on his back.

With Petaldramon now flat on the ground, Korikakumon could easily take advantage of this. He could punch the crap out of his. He could hit him with one of his powerful attacks. He could…k-kneel down and fold his hands in prayer? Yeah, he actually took his time to pray!

"Tommy, what in the world are you doing? This is no time for reflection!" Bokomon called out to the young warrior.

Movement caught Datamon's eye. "Behind you! Look out!"

The warning came too late. Petaldramon pounced on Korikakumon, pinning him down with his full weight. Bokomon, Neemon and Datamon just barely managed to get out of the way. Korikakumon wasn't bothered by Petaldramon's weight, though. He quickly recovered and used his braids to knock the evil warrior back a few steps.

"AVALANCHE AXES!" Two axes dropped out of the sky, falling right in front of Korikakumon. He grabbed them and soon disappeared from Petaldramon's view. The warrior of ice reappeared in the air, dropping down on top of Petaldramon.

When the warrior of wood stood up to defend himself, Korikakumon beat him to it by wildly slashing the axes in his face. While doing that, he was also building up power which soon exploded in his face with an icy blow.

After such a successful attack, Korikakumon thought it well deserved to cheer and dance a little.

"There's something you don't see every day." Koji commented.

"He can't control his Spirit." Takuya called out. "He sure looks silly doesn't he?"

Bokomon humpfed at Takuya's statement. "Not as silly as you looked trying to beat up your friends, Mr. Pot-calling-the-kettle-black."

Sonamon quickly hit Bokomon upside the head with one of her microphones. "Bokomon! Uncalled for!" Everyone knew Takuya was still somewhat sensitive about losing control like that. He didn't deserve a call-out like that.

While those guys bickered, Datamon was busy searching through the wreck that was once his shop. If that kid could use that D-Tector device of his to turn into a digimon, then those other humans should too, right. Now where were they? Aha! Now which one belongs to who?

Rosalie knelt down next to him. "I think the black and red one belongs to the guy with the goggles and the white and blue one to the guy with the bandanna." she guessed, but Datamon took her word for it.

"THORN JAB!"

They attention went back to the fight, where Petaldramon just stuck his tail in the ground and summoned a large thorn bush to trap Korikakumon.

Datamon walked back to the humans with the D-Tectors in his hands. "Here, catch!" he called. "Help out your friend, guys."

He tossed them the D-Tectors, which they easily caught. There was a moment of intense relief when they held the devices in their hands, but they had no time to think about that now. There was work to do.

"EXECUTE! SPIRIT EVOLUTION! …AGUNIMON!"

"EXECUTE! SPIRIT EVOLUTION! …LOBOMON!"

Datamon tossed the remaining D-Tector to Rosalie. "Here, you too."

Rose caught it, but looked uncomfortable. "This isn't mine. I-I can't Spirit evolve now!"

Agunimon fired up a pyro punch to help free Korikakumon. "How about we heat things up a little?"

He threw the fire balls at the same time Lobomon used his lobo kendo, which in this case launched two sharp blades of light at the vines. The two attacks were enough to completely cut and burn through the thorn bush, freeing Korikakumon.

The beast of ice didn't waste a single second to jump back into the battle. Caught off guard by Sonamon flying circles around him (literally), Petaldramon was pushed out of the town and to the top of the ice hill. With one more push, Petaldramon unceremoniously fell on his back in the freezing cold snow. The cold slowed down the warrior's reflexes, where it heightened Korikakumon's.

The warrior of ice took full advantage of this. "And now!" The arrowheads on his braids lit up as he prepared his final attack. "FROZEN ARROWHEADS!"

With one final hit, he send Petaldramon sliding over the icy roads of the Ice Continent. With how much power he put in his final attack it would be a while before he came to a stop.

With one last prayer from Korikakumon, it was over.

He soon after turned back into Tommy, who looked around at his surroundings in confusion. Takuya, Koji, Sophia and Rosalie met him at the hilltop shortly, as well as JP, Zoe and Koichi who'd come running when they heard the telltale signs of battle.

What asked what happened, the people who actually witnessed the fight happily filled the other three in on what they missed.

"Molto bene!" Zoe complimented their youngest on a battle well done.

Tommy bashfully rubbed the back of his head. "I'm just glad I didn't hurt you guys when I got my Beast Spirit."

"Why does everyone have to bring that up?!" Takuya asked. He was so done hearing it all the time. Yes, he screwed up! It's not like he could help it!

"Yeah, guys. I think enough is enough." Sophia chimed in. "No more bringing up Takuya's or anyone else's untamed Beast Spirit moments."

"Digidestined." The voice of Ophanimon came through the D-Tectors.

Everyone quickly grabbed for their D-Tectors. The symbol was on everyone's device.

"Seraphimon turned into a digi-egg." Zoe informed her.

Whenever Ophanimon called she never seemed able to keep the connection up for long. They had to make every call count.

"Yes, I know…" her voice sounded saddened.

Koji's grip tightened. "So, what are supposed to do about it?"

"Before I tell you, you must know that this is a crucial point. You can stop now, or face the dangerous road ahead." They could still go home? "Will you accept the risk?"

Everyone's eyes met. They've come this far. Out of all the children in that train station, they were chosen as the Legendary Warriors. They knew exactly what they were fighting for… It was safe to say that nobody was stopping now.

With a nod to his team, Takuya turned back to Ophanimon's symbol. "You better believe we will."

"You must be certain. All of you."

"I don't thing I've ever been more certain of anything in my life." Zoe told the Celestial digimon.

"Me either." "Yeah!" Koji and Tommy also chimed in with their answer.

"You can count me in as well." Sophia replied.

Rosalie smiled. "And if she's going, so am I."

JP and Koichi both nodded in agreement. Nobody was going home now.

Satisfied that his brother and friends were all coming along, Koji turned back to the D-Tector. "So what do we do now, Ophanimon?"

"Head for the Rose Morning Star, and then-" Static sounded over the D-Tectors as the connection with Ophanimon broke.

"What did you say? Ophanimon!"

No reply to Koji's shout. Ophanimon had been disconnected again. It was almost worrying how shortly she could keep the connection up.

It was Neemon who eventually broke the worried silence. "What is a Rose Morning Star?"

That was actually a good question. The gang looked to Bokomon, who seemed to be looking around for something himself. Then his eyes landed on something. "That right there!" He said, pointing towards it.

The gang looked. Where Bokomon was pointing at was a section of magenta colored sky. The lowest part of it was shaped somewhat similarly to a rose. That was the Rose Morning Star?

"A star?" JP asked bewildered. A literal star?! "How are we supposed to get there?"

Bokomon nearly rolled his eyes. "We're not going to the star. We're going to what's beneath it."

"All that way?" JP groaned.

"Yeah, it looks pretty far." Takuya said, rubbing the back of his head. He turned to Bokomon. "We have to walk there?"

No answer from Bokomon except for a defeated groan. That was quickly followed by the others sighing and hanging their heads in defeat. This was gonna be fun…

"Guess that's part of the crucial point, isn't it?" Rosalie moaned.

Then Zoe gasped, catching everyone's attention. She went digging through her pocket before pulling something out.

"Presto!" she sang, holding out a handful of tickets.

Takuya was confused. Did she always have those? Why were they so important now? "What are those?" he settled on.

"These are Trailmon tickets~!" Zoe proudly announced. "Remember that eating contest? Well, this is grand prize for eating thirty plates of that horrible food." She puffed out her chest. "Do I rock or what?"

"You rock big time, Zoe!" Sophia grinned.

Koichi then noticed something. "But you only have eight tickets. That's not enough for all of us."

"What?!" Zoe shrieked. "I told that digimon I needed ten! He said the prize was Trailmon tickets for me and all my friends and I told him I was with a group of ten!"

Takuya sighed. "So, I guess that's walking after all. We're not leaving two of us behind."

"No problem." Rose smiled. She took of her backpack and started digging through it. "On my way to the Autumn Leaf Fair I met these lovely digimon who helped me on my way. One of them bought me Trailmon tickets for me and my sister." As she spoke she fished two tickets out of her backpack. "Ta-da~! Now we can all go by Trailmon."

"Wait!"

Their excitement was cut a little short by a call from the edge of the ice hole. It was unfamiliar to all but two. At the edge, walking towards them, was a certain pink bird digimon.

Rosalie stared. "Biyomon… Biyo!" She ran towards her friend, dropping down on her knees to hug her. "I'm so sorry! I-I got caught up in the excitement a-and the fight."

The digimon hugged her back. "It's alright. I get it."

"Still! I shouldn't have just forgotten about you, not even in that moment!"

Biyomon stayed silent, observing the group in front of her. "I guess I don't have to meteor wing your sister after all, huh?" This luckily earned a snort from the young girl. "So… I guess you're leaving now?"

The wavy-haired brunette nodded. "Yeah… I wish you could come with us, but we're kind of on a dangerous mission."

Biyomon just smiled. "That's okay. I should probably be getting home now anyways…" She rubbed her wing sheepishly. "I've been gone longer than I'd intended."

"Well." Rose looked back towards the group she'd be traveling with from now on. "Maybe you could walk us to the Trailmon station? We need to hop onto one anyways."

Biyomon nodded happily.

The other kids watched on, not wanting to disturb yet kind of in a hurry to leave. When Rosalie finally gave that cue that they were done, Takuya didn't hesitate.

"Well… Then come on guys!" he called out, stepping ahead. "Let's head for that star!"

"Yeah!"

*Guess what? I've been spelling Korikakumon wrong for like 5 years~!

Well, this is goodbye for now Biyomon. You've been an amazing friend to Rosalie, but I'm afraid they'll have to go on without you.

...Maybe I'll give her a small cameo later.

(To those who are curious as to what I'm talking about. Wait until the next chapter of A sister's Rose. It's basically Rosalie's journey up until this point.)
