Chapter 3: our story
DISCLAIMER: this contains some part of a series I'm doing called the power of the cartoon realm. Edit: it is out now. But I'd advise you to not read it. it's old and poorly written. It's not mandatory to understand this chapter. Anyways, I hope you enjoy! :)
"so.. you guys know each other?" pinkie, shadow and I sat on the edge of the stage watching ponies party, eat, laugh, and mainly having fun.
"It was a long time ago. Would you like to hear the story?" Pinkie shook her head profusely. "yes, yes! I would love to!" I smiled, and began my story.
When I was younger, before I became who I am today, I was on the third quest of my journey.
Sonic just happened to come upon me. I was in alleyway, and just had scared off The Darkness.
Shadow was watching from up above.
"who are you?" sonic asked me.
I gasped, for I knew who they already were.
"sonic the hedgehog?! On my- I can't believe that I'm meeting you right now!"
Sonic gave a cocky smile. "that's right. I'm the one, the only, sonic the hedgehog."
We both suddenly heard a scoff. I turned around and saw shadow standing on a roof. He jumped down and stood behind me.
"you need to stop stroking your ego."
Sonic laughed. "coming from the edge lord himself."
Shadow grunted again, and I giggled a little.
"sorry for laughing."
I turned to face shadow. "I know who you are. you're shadow the hedgehog." I put my hand out. "my name is Wensday." shadow looked at my hand, and then back to my face. he sighed mentally, but shook my hand anyways. "pleasure to meet you."
He was always had a bite to his voice that made many stray away from him.
But I knew that there was light in him. I had to try to find it.
I was kind and generous to him. Even if he didn't except it. Sonic and his friends had lost hope for me after awhile. I never gave up however.
Then, one faithful night, I found him outdoors. He was alone, sitting on the grass, and was singing something.
"come back to me..."
"you are my hope, my life"
" i pray to see you every night..."
"come back to me,"
"come back to me..."
my dear... Maria"
While I did expect to find him talking about Maria all alone, I didn't expect him to be singing! It caught me off guard a little bit. I grabbed up some courage and approached him.
"shadow." his head sprang up, but he didn't turn around. He knew it was me.
"it doesn't have to be this way. You don't need to feel this pain forever."
His eyes widened. I walked closer to him.
"i know you lost her. i know you feel bad for it. i can help her overcome it. let me help. please." he turned his head, and his watery eyes met my pleading ones. i was right. he couldn't keep this up forever. i bent down in front of him. then, he hugged me. i wasn't expecting a hug.
"i.. i... I!"-
"I know." I interrupted him and embraced the hug.
"she's like a sister to me! The only one I truly loved!"
"I can help you. To get over her. And, if you want-"
"yes! i would love to have a sister again!"
"well, we can start now, brother."
…...
"he had a tough time at first, but he got more and more used to being loved again. He even started being a little nicer on occasions. I helped him gain life once more." i looked over t shadow, and smiled softly. he smiled back at me, until we herd sniffling. We looked over to pink, who had her head down. Her ears were drooped.
She was crying.
"I-I never knew how bad it was!" she jumped onto us and gave us a huge hug. We both returned her hug. "pinkie, it's in the past now. Wendsay helped me get over it. And, you helped too." we all broke from the embrace, pinkie slowly gaining a small smile. "i know." she turned her head to me. "thank you Wensday."
I smiled brightly at her. "it's just in my nature Pinkie."

2020 Edit: welcome to the new decade! But seriously, sorry this one took so long to make. I kept putting it off.( I really need to stop doing that. XD) the next chapter won't have too many tweaks, and it will be the last one I edit. I hope you look forward to it.
