Warning: Some cringe and dirty thoughts of a certain character *You know who*
A typical summer day it was. Banishing all the white clouds from the sky, the sun alone was rumbling at the center, spreading its golden gleams in all the four directions, glimmering the entire blue and making the dwellers of the earth squint by fits and starts. Not moving away, standing at a distance, the rafts of white vapors were nervously staring at the source of daylight.
Beneath the azure roof of the world, the scarlet-haired princess of China was heading towards her tent through the grassy L-shaped lawns, guarded by bella-bellissimma-potentilla shrubs. Those small bushes were holding the tussocks of four and five-petal magenta flowers. The fuchsia fringe of her qipao gently slid against the velvety carpet of meadows, caressing some florets. Her forehead was no more swathed with dressings. Only, a diagonal straight line was there, being the stain of the injury that she had got at the previous night, just like the blemish on the surface of moon. She was gently trudging in the garden, being the most beautiful of all the floras. Seeing her, even honey-seeking butterflies also forgot their way. Birds couldn't remember how to sing. Then, a blunette stood before her, keeping his hands behind and smirking slightly. Seeing him, the redhead screwed her eyebrows.
"Prince Kane!" She couldn't understand why he was there, "What are you doing here?" Shouldn't you prepare yourself for your coronation ceremony?"
"That will happen, so will I be ready," Kane replied, stretching his closed fists forward, "But before that, I want to give you something."
As his fingers got unfolded, his palms appeared with a bunch of raspberries. The onyx orbs of the princess glinted in enthusiasm, seeing the succulent red fruits. Immediately, she snatched all of them from the prince of Hong Kong, without no hesitation. Nonetheless, the young nobleman snickered.
"Thank you so much, prince Kane," Salima poured one in her mouth, "But...how do you know that these are my favorite?"
"Umm...some from your face," Kane rolled his eyes, "Some from your attitude...and some from my heart."
Salima stooped her gazes, blushing. Never had anyone praised her in this way. She didn't know how it felt to be flirted. But she was liking it, frankly speaking. The first stroke of love had already pulsated her heart. On the other hand, the head of the blunette was lowered. He was embarrassed too but his expressions were saying that his shame didn't spring from his love towards her. It was, rather, something else.
"Any special reason for giving them to me?" She kept chewing the berries, "You must come here with a view to telling me something, right? What happened?"
"Umm...actually..." Kane crossed his fingers apprehensively, "I'm sorry, princess Salima."
"Sorry?" Salima titled a brow, "But...for what?"
"For being unable to save you at the last night, princess," Kane gloomily sighed, "So many things happened but I got to know only when everything ended. I'm really a worthless prince. Please, forgive me."
"Oh no..." The redhead amicably placed a hand on his shoulder which made him raise his face. The Chinese princess saw worries and humiliation in those azure orbs. The prince of Hong Kong discovered her eyes filled with emotions and concerns for him.
When the boy and the girl were talking to each other, their fathers were watching them, standing at quite a distance beneath a yunnan tree. Smiles of satisfaction emerged from their lips as they exchanged contented stares.
"King Yamashita, look there," The green-eyed ruler pointed at the pair, "Looks like our children themselves have fixed their alliance before us."
"You're right, King Zagart," The elder Yamashita nodded, "Your daughter is such a sweetie. I'll feel lucky if she becomes my daughter-in-law as well as the queen of Hong Kong."
'I'll be luckier,' Zagart evilly leered, 'Once she marries prince Kane, I'll make her collect illuminative Dragoon from her husband. Thus, China will have the illuminative versions of all the four sacred spirits. If I can deliver them to Boris once, together, we both will rule the world.'
'Surely I'm fortunate,' Whereas, the king of Hong Kong cogitated, 'As dowry, I can comprehend illuminative Dranzer, illuminative Driger and illuminative Draciel from him. Then, Hong Kong will earn more fame. Hahahaha...'
The children hardly knew of the wicked plans of their fathers. The princess considered the prince only as her good friend...nah, maybe, more than that. But little did she know that the prince had already fallen in love with her.
"Don't call yourself worthless, prince Kane," Her voice softened, "You have no fault at what happened with us. Besides, you knew the news later. How would you be able to help us?"
"Maybe you're right," A dim smile rose on his face, "By the way, how're you feeling now? Okay? Is your head aching?"
"C'mon, prince Kane," Salima chuckled, "Don't embarrass a warrior princess by asking her such questions. I'm perfectly fine. Stop worrying."
"Warrior princess, huh?" Kane grinned, "Wanna have a horse-riding duel against me?"
"Why not?" Salima leaped, "I would love it!"
"Salima!"
Hearing the familiar masculine voice, her eyes twinkled. Jumping like a little girl, she exclaimed, "Father is calling me, I've to go now! We'll have the duel later, prince. Bye!"
Not giving him a chance to speak, the redhead rushed towards the yunnan tree under which the king of China was standing. No sooner had she left the place than another girl around her age appeared there, flushing. The blunette knew the Brazilian beauty. Seeing her, he bowed.
"Good morning, lady Frankie," He greeted, "Hope you're alright."
"I'm okay, prince Yamashita," The lavender-haired girl smiled, "But what are you doing here? Isn't your coronation ceremony going to take place?"
"Yes, it is," Kane nodded, "Actually, I was waiting here for someone."
"Oh, I see..." Frankie's purple orbs swayed, "Someone special?"
"Yeah," The prince acknowledged, "Definitely, she's precious. A beautiful, gorgeous Goddess who has spread loveliness and peace throughout my kingdom. Though she has already claimed the throne of my heart, I have to offer her to have the power of the future queen of Hong Kong."
"She's before you, prince..." Frankie lowered her head.
"Huh?" Kane gasped, puckering his eyebrows.
"I mean...she's around you," The Brazilian cleared her throat, biting her tongue, "Search for her, with the passage of time, you'll be able to find her. Don't worry."
"Right you are, lady Frankie," Kane's ocean-blue eyes turned quite dreamy, "Soon, she'll be mine and I'll be hers."
"But before that, you have to make yourself ready for her," The lavender-haired girl winked, "Go and have a bath. The guests won't love their king to be so late."
"Okay then," Kane beamed, "Lady Frankie, I have to go now. See you later."
"See you too, prince Yamashita."
Both the Brazilian and the Asian went in opposite directions. But their feelings were mutual. They both were dancing in the tunes of love. Powdered rose petals were brushing their cheeks. Their gazes were filled with so many untold and unheard emotions that they could shower like the streams from mountains anytime. Their feet were going ahead but their hearts were lagging behind.
On these roads paved with stones,
There is a sheet of flowers,
Since when you met me,
Every scenario has changed, so have all the hours,
Look at the world under the blue sky,
New colors are splashing around,
My sleeping dreams have woken up for you,
My paths are laden with your wishes, isn't it bound?
Unaware of the magical world of amour, walking, the red-haired girl slowly stood before her father. Seeing the new man, smiling, she bowed. Accepting the greeting, the father of Kane Yamashita also grinned a bit. Leaving the father-daughter duo with some space, he walked away.
"What happened, father?" Salima felt confused, "Why have you called me here? Why was King Yamashita smiling looking at me?"
"Nothing special, my girl," Zagart enfolded the shoulders of her daughter, "Go to your tent and get ready. Today, my daughter has to look the most beautiful of all girls in the coronation ceremony of prince Yamashita."
"Of course she'll, father," Salima rolled her eyes, "After all, whose child is she?"
"Hahaha..." Zagart laughed in happiness, embracing his daughter. Deep inside, something else was roaming inside his brain.
'Let illuminative Dragoon be mine once, then, you'll feel more proud to call yourself my daughter, Sal!'
The raven-haired neko-jin was strolling all over the compartment, confusedly crossing his arms on his chest. Before a while, the Latin American had told him to stay here. It was the chamber of princess Salima and she could arrive here anytime. Though his face was hidden under a Brazilian peacock-feathered mask, he wasn't feeling satisfied.
Flashback:
"I have been impressed seeing your skills and bravery," The Brazilian girl had a contented mien all over her face, "From this moment onwards, you won't cook foods for guests anymore. Rather, you'll learn to operate Brazilian weapons staying with the rest of the soldiers."
"Thanks a lot, my lady," The neko-jin bowed, "Don't worry. Nobody will get to know about the incident of last night."
"Why have you thought that I'm bribing you?" Frankie cocked an eyebrow, "I'm only giving you your reward. Learn to be afraid."
"Of course, my lady," Sharply, Ray nodded, "And staying with you people, I've learnt that there is no place of fear in the battalion of lord Douglas."
"I loved your style," Frankie smirked, "By the way, another girl has been awestruck at your talents. Salima, the princess of China, wants to meet you and express her gratitude to you for saving her life. Wait here until she arrives. Let me call her."
The Brazilian stormed past him, not letting him protest or utter a single word to give any excuse and flee from the place.
Flash forward:
"Hey you!"
Hearing a feminine voice to which he hadn't got accustomed fully, he gasped. Despite putting a mask on, his heart was beating fast. Clearing his throat, he spoke as politely as he could, "How can I help you, your Highness?"
"You've already helped me a lot," The scarlet-haired girl beamingly responded, "Thank you so much for saving my life last night. I'll be grateful to you for this."
"Don't need to thank me, princess," The neko-jin conversed, not making any eye-contact with the Chinese girl, "It was my responsibility as a soldier."
"But..." Salima wasn't ready to let him go so easily, "I can praise a Chinese for his bravery, cannot I?"
"Surely, I'm a Chinese, princess," Boldly, Ray let out the feelings of his heart, "But for those who are real patriots. Those who don't be afraid to lay down their lives in order to protect the honor of their motherland. For the rest, I'm none but their enemy. I'm nothing but their death."
Salima's eyes went amplified as she heard his words. She screwed her eyebrows and nose. Puzzled, she tried to unearth the meaning of what the soldier had said but failed. Apparently, his sentences started seeming very familiar to her.
"And it's my responsibility as a warrior to keep my kingdom safe," The raven-haired Chinese countered, "Be it from an outsider or an insider. Princess, if fate permits, we'll meet each other again. Till then...goodbye."
She didn't know but yes, their fates had permitted them once again to meet each other. Maybe in other identities, maybe in another place, but they weren't far from each other anymore.
"Well...you may leave my chamber now," Salima coughed, "See you later."
'Thank goodness!' Ray huffed inside his mind, 'Otherwise, I was about to get caught.'
Bending his head once, the neko-jin literally ran towards the entrance with quick footsteps. Salima rolled her eyes a bit at that. A lot of questions rose in her mind. But she didn't pay any heed to them much. Smiling, she headed towards her dressing table.
Coming out, the raven-haired neko-jin turned left. Crossing the fabric walls of the tents, he moved right. He had already crossed the threshold of the castle area. Now, he was standing in a forest. Birch trees were skyscraping there, barely letting the sunlight enter. They were encircling the Chinese from all the directions. Their leaves were creating a roof over his head. Beneath his bare feet, there were piles of crunchy and lifeless pleats which had been green once upon a time. Quite creepy the place was, yet, his quite favorite it was. He loved to meet his mentor here.
Hearing the dry leaves being trampled, he turned behind. Wearing wooden sabots, the bald master was coming. A shabby shawl was wrapped around his torso. Fake mustaches and beards were attached to his face. Depending on a brown cane made of the branches of tree, he was plodding.
Rushing to him, the neko-jin bowed, "Everything has been ready, Master. We have to leave the place tonight."
A sly leer rose in the lips of the disguised master. He commented, "Great. But remember that everything should go according to our plans."
"Sure, Master." Ray nodded.
"Well," Tao coughed, "I also have a good news for you."
"Tell me about it, Master." The neko-jin was calm but deep inside, his heart was bubbling with excitement. He couldn't wait more to know about that.
"I've found out some kings who are ready to support us," The mentor replied, "They'll just have to gather the soldiers. Now, I'll go to the rest of the kings of this continent and request them to give us enough provisions."
"It's really a good news," The camouflaged watchman's golden eyes danced like fireflies, "If the whole world starts supporting us, victory will be near. Then, these Brazilians will escape from China folding their tails between legs. Besides, Zagart will also get to taste his own medicines."
"Hm," Tao asked, "Any other news for me?"
"Yes, Master," Ray shook his head vertically, "I've heard that Douglas is quite ill at present. His soldiers are exhausted too. So, I think this is the perfect moment for attacking them."
"It is true that we shouldn't be late while performing any auspicious task," The bald teacher acknowledged, "But we shouldn't also be so fast that we are keeping something behind."
"As in?"
"Before leaving the place, you have to spread your patriotism all over the traitors," Tao clarified, "Since a long time, the devotion of the Chinese soldiers who are in the troops of Douglas has been smothered. It's time we lit them. It's time to fuel the fire inside their hearts. Keeping a majority of Chinese people behind us, we cannot progress towards liberty. For the sake of China, Ray, for the sake of your motherland, for your Driger, you have to do it. You can achieve your goal, cannot you?"
"Yes, Master Tao," Clenching his teeth and fists in sheer determination, the neko-jin concurred, "For my motherland, for my mother China, I'll do everything. For protecting her soil, even if I have to mix with her in the end, I'll accept it happily. No matter how much blood of my body I need to shower, I'll end up freeing her. I promise!"
In my heart, there's China,
In my dreams, there's China.
In my peace, there's China.
O, my mother you are, oh China!
At present, I'm in a liberation war,
Keep me in your prayers, o, my mother.
I promise, I'll bloom a smile in your face,
Wake up, the people of China, it's time for the race!
"Dum dum dum! Dum dum dum!"
Drummers were striking the membranes of their tabors with wooden sticks. Trumpets were being played by their sides. Rubicund rugs were hanging between ionic pillars, prettified with the garlands of white marigolds and green leaves. On the marble floor, an olive-green runner was laid, having the serpentine artworks of a white-purple dragon and silver threads at its fringes. Invited guests were sitting on velvet couches. Candles were burning on the silver lamp-stands. Festoons were swinging from columns to columns. Wearing yellow and brown changpaos, good-looking maids were serving delicious beverages among the invitees with smiling faces.
At the center, the indigo-haired young man was sitting on a four-legged round bronze tool. He was wearing a traditional, golden-colored changsan with aqua-blue borders having the floral artworks of cross-stiches of golden and silver threads. The overcoat was baby-blue, embroidered with silver palm-blossom patterns and gold-rimmed buttons. Flaxen georgette gown was covering his toes. Bronze wrist-cuffs were encompassing his hands. The glimmering shades were enhancing the fairness of skin. Everybody was sprinkling myrtles at him. Straightening his backbone, he was smiling proudly. The grandeur was glittering inside his indigo orbs. While showering flowers at him, both the scarlet-haired princess of China and the lavender-haired Brazilian were grinning.
With a silent swing, Kane looked at the redhead. Seeing her curved lips, his ones got curled into a smile too. However, again, the lavender-haired girl mistook. Her heart leapt as she looked down.
Finally, the father of the young man came as a butler stood before him with a round brass platter. On it, there was a circular golden crown where the tiny statues of a dragon were engraved. Beneath them, amethysts were placed. Clover leaves were peeping from the crests. Taking it, the elder Yamashita gently placed it on the head of his son. Standing up, the blunette gently bowed. Squeezing his shoulders, the older one raised him. Presenting him before the assembly, he spoke:
"Today, it is not only the best day of my life as a father, but also as a king. I'm now going to make the whole Hong Kong meet her future ruler. Here is Kane Yamashita, the deserving emperor of our nation."
Flowers again started being thrown to him. People jubilated:
"Hail His Majesty of Kane Yamashita, the crown-prince of Hong Kong!"
"Hail His Majesty of Kane Yamashita, the crown-prince of Hong Kong!"
"Along with giving him his right on the throne of Hong Kong," Kane's father spoke, clearing his throat and stopping the huzzas, "Today, I'm going to give my son his life-partner."
Rays of sunshine flickered all over the face of the Brazilian. After her meeting with him yesterday, she was pretty sure that Kane had already told his father about his feelings and his father had agreed with him. At least, Kane's smiles were saying so.
"Now, I'd like to call our chief guest," The king blurted, "King Zagart, you may come inside."
Pushing the velvety curtains, the ruler of China entered the courtroom. Seeing him, Frankie frowned, 'King Zagart? What's he doing here?'
Standing beside king Yamashita, Zagart declared:
"Today, Hong Kong and China have decided to take a step ahead to increase the depth of their relation. I, Gonglu Zagart, the emperor of China, would like to hand over the most precious jewel of our kingdom, my daughter, Salima to the prince of Hong Kong.
Instantaneously, the scarlet-haired girl drooped her face. As her blood tresses touched her cheeks, they left their color right there. Her heart increased its beats, her feelings started dancing on the thumping tempo. When she raised her head, she found the olympic blue pools fixed on her mien. Again, that dropped, deepening the blush.
Sometimes, I dream,
In a random mesmerizing night,
Sometimes, I gossip,
With myself, sometimes, it leads to a fight.
Sometimes, I wish to
Blow off the flames of pains and ire,
Sometimes, I adorn you,
In my all dreams and only desire.
Oh, you're my untold love,
Only with you!
I've weaved all my hopes of my heart,
With your thread, with your hue.
Whereas, the lavender-haired girl's orbs were widened. Her lips parted a bit in sudden shock. All the flowers collapsed on the marble ground from her grips. She couldn't believe her own ears and eyes. What was happening there? Her...her Kane was going to marry the princess of China, one of her best friends? Was it true? Was the blunette pleased at the decision of his father? If not, why was he smiling at Salima?
Oh God, don't let love
Trouble anyone like this,
Let the things of remain inside,
Let it not come to the lips...
"Frankie?" The redhead placed a hand on her shoulder, "What happened? Are you okay?"
"I...I'm okay..." Tears almost filled the eyes of the Brazilian, "I'm feeling thirsty. Let me go to my room once."
Coughing, she stormed past her best friend. Not realizing, Salima shrugged it off.
"I think..." Zagart spoke, "We need to leave our children alone for some times. They can sort out everything between them."
"You're right, king Zagart." King Yamashita agreed. With them, all the people left the hall. Once the environment went empty, the prince of Hong Kong gently approached the princess. Shy, she turned away her face from him. Folding her lips inward, she smiled as he entwined her wrist in his fingers. She felt it to be melting.
"Princess Salima..." He whispered, "Don't you have any objection against the decision of our fathers?"
"When everything has been fixed..." She murmured which reached his ears, "Why're you addressing me with my rank? You can...simply call me by my name."
"Your stomach digested the raspberries that I gave you," Kane grinned, "Then, why is your face showing their color?"
"Maybe, they have digested something else..." Salima wanted to go off but again, holding her hand, the blunette twirled her. Her paws landed on his well-built chest as his arms got wrapped around her slender body. Her black diamonds unleashed all the mysteries which had been concealed there. His azures accepted them wholeheartedly.
O Kane, I'll keep you in my eyes,
I won't let anyone want you,
Let them keep the world before me as your price.
You're the flower of my garden, oh girl,
I've collected you to create a wreath, my Sal,
Now I'll offer them to deities, belonging to paradise,
I won't let anyone want you,
Let them keep the world before me as your price.
They thought that nobody was seeing them. Well, they were wrong. A lavender-haired girl had already witnessed everything. She felt as if someone had beating her ribcage with a hammer. Her heart pained; she bit her lips to control the flame of those agonies. Behind the room, on the grassy ground, she knelt down. Her fingers tightly clutched the reeds but she couldn't wash away the soreness. Rheum of pain leaked from her amethyst orbs, sliding against her cheeks. She breathed unstably, sobbing. Yes, she was the daughter of Ricardo, the chief commander of Brazil. But...love is blunt sometimes, turning a princess into a beggar. All the wealth and gems from her hands had been snatched within a blink. She couldn't do anything, just staring blankly.
"My...my first love has remained incomplete..." She lamented, "I...I couldn't complete it..."
I'll light all the lamps of my griefs,
When the day will pass, I'll offer them.
Because the veneration of my sorrows hasn't ended yet,
Hasn't ended yet...
"What?"
The purple-haired man stood up from his chair, throwing the letter on the ground. The slim and the fat runners gasped but couldn't gather enough courage to produce a single sound. Fuming, he spat, "A Russian? A Russian prince has killed lady Katherine? How?"
"Another news, my lord!" A messenger in black cloths entered the room, huffing, "The prince of Russia has freed lady Kincaid from her curses."
That only flung some dry leaves in the fire of his ire. Clenching his teeth, he sarcastically spoke, "Woah! Such a great news!"
"Your Majesty," The third bowed, handing him a scroll, "King Zagart has sent you a letter."
Screwing his eyebrows and calming down a bit, Boris took the folded paper from his hands. Unfolding it, he started reading it. The more his eyes roamed over it, the more they got bloodshot. Twisting it, he tossed it right at the face of the postman.
"Russian!" Boris seethed, "I've already started hating the kingdom! I had full confidence on the strength of Zagart. Cannot believe, he got defeated by a kid? Boris Balkov can suck the blood of that boy without even touching him!"
"Father!"
Hearing a feminine voice, the ruler of underground looked back. There was standing a sky-blue haired girl. Her icy orbs were glistening with tears. Her lower face, including her nose, was covered with a piece of black cloth. His expressions mellowed a bit seeing his daughter. At the same time, rarely, he felt concerned. Never had he seen his child helplessly shedding tears before him. Getting the hint, bowing once, all the soldiers and runners left the room.
Hurrying to her, Boris spoke, "What happened, my child? Why're you covering your face in this way? Is everything okay?"
"Nothing is okay, father," Zina shook her head, "The bloody bastard prince of Russia..."
Now, the girl had already poured a lot of oil in the flames. Boris literally burned having it. Squeezing her shoulders, he spoke, "What has that scoundrel done with you?"
"He has cut my nose!" The blunette was equally enraged, "According to my plan, I went to Japan for seducing him and taking him to you so that you could sacrifice him to satisfy the Satan. But...he rejected me. When I intended to kill his love, he...did this..."
Zina sobbed, unable to control her tears. Leaving her shoulders, Boris turned away. The words of his daughter sent the creeks of lava through his veins. Vengeance was rampaging on the podium of his heart. Gnawing his jaw, he asked, "Who's his love?"
"Hilary Tachibana," Zina sniffed, "The princess of Japan."
"How does she look?" Boris was still infuriated.
"Father, I have both their pictures with me," The princess pulled out a pair of scrolls from the pockets of her skirt and handed them to her father, "You may see them if you want."
Curious, Boris unfolded them. One of them was containing the image of a Russian guy, around 20. His complexion was fair, mostly like the inner portion of a ripe and fresh apple. His glinting purple orbs reminded him of fully blossomed lotuses, floating in a clear pond. Yet, they were hard, dauntless and intelligent. His dual-toned hair was seeming to blow slightly. His body was radiating a peculiar gleam, being a source of endless light. The silvery scarf hanging round his neck showed his maturity and boldness.
On another, there was a Japanese girl, only crossing the threshold of her teenage. The eyes of the ruler of underground stopped moving here and there, just kept being fixed on the canvas. Her skin was seeming washed with milk. Irreplaceable rubies were placed in her eye-sockets, filled with knowledge, curiosity and serenity. The chocolate-colored creamy tresses caressing her rosy cheeks raised the images of succulent apples in his head. Beneath her sharp nose, there was the pair of her rubicund lips. He licked his once seeing them. Suddenly, he started feeling thirsty. He was willing to bite those lips and suck them hard, tasting all the honey of her beauty and youth. Though her full body didn't appear on the canvas, he imagined through his own methods. Despite being more than 50, the testosterone of a 25-year old guy roamed through his body.
"I want my justice, father!" Zina cried, "I want this girl crippled by miseries throughout the rest of her life. I also want to end the life of this boy!"
"Don't worry, my girl..." Boris embraced his daughter gently, "I'll give you your justice. I'll revenge them on behalf of you..." He thought, 'At first, I'll make this Russian prince place his head beneath the sacrificial guillotine before the idol of Satan. Beheading him, I'll stretch my hand to the stimulating princess of Japan and...
Hahahahaha!"
