Actually, I have made Kai Mahendra because...I asked my mom, "Mom, did Asha and Bihari like each other?" Mom told me, "No dear, Bihari used to see Asha like his sister." Then I'm like, "Kai and Hilary-like siblings? No no no...not by this Misty! Never!" So...anyways, pardon my weird choices. Yeah, you're right, he's so passionate about beyblading that he will never trade but...he'll trade at one time? You know when? Simply, when he has to be a better beyblader. Binte Dil? One of my most favorite songs yaar! I'm thinking to put it on this story through Boris's lips XD

So...here's the next chapter. Enjoy! XD
Opening my eyes, I gazed at the biosphere,
Nothing was there, except the dark,
The condensed grief, the frozen feelings,
Everything was sealed into murk...
East, west, north and south. Wherever the eyes of the redhead were going, they could only meet the blinding void of darkness. He felt as if a tall and widespread black umbrella had covered him from all the directions. Its circumference was ceaseless. His feet were pulling him to every side but they couldn't find out the territory of the murky region. He was never an admirer of obscurity. His icy blue orbs always used to yearn for light. When he used to sleep, he had to place a lit clay lamp on the side-table by his bed. Then what was happening today? How had he landed there?
He didn't have any answer. He felt himself only running and running. Finding no other way, he was darting through different paths. His ears couldn't capture any other sound except his footsteps. They were just like the sticks on drum in a mute musical room. He even didn't know whether he was dashing for finding any way or something else. Deep inside, he assumed that someone was following him. The stalker had the velocity of wind. Almost flying, the intruder was chasing him. As additional tunes with his footfalls, the blood-chilling laughter slapped his ears. His back was hit by the extreme speed of the blustering waft.
Silent, discreet…not that much,
Someone was coming here,
Her, or his footsteps could be heard,
Gulping, I inquired, "Who's there?"
Feeling exhausted, the redhead stopped. Keeping his palms on his knees, he started panting, bending down. Right then, before his face...
"Buhahahaha!"
Flinching, the wolvia-wielder saw a creepy face in front of his eyes. There was nothing without the head. The rest of the body couldn't be seen at all. Pentagonal facial structure had navy-purple hair down to the neck and violet beard stopping by his ears. Sharp teeth were flashing out, penetrating the barrier of his thick lips. They were the only source of light in the darkness. Eyes held a wicked mien that froze the blood of the valiant Russian.
Yet, he wasn't the one to be afraid so easily. Taking a sharp intake of air, he blurted, "Who're you?"
He himself didn't notice the nervousness of his voice which his opponent did. Like a maniac, he chortled, trying to snatch the bravery of the scarlet-haired.
No reply came, but an awkward laughter,
Filled the aura, which was evil,
I didn't take much time to understand,
That it was the castle of devil.
"I'm the most trustworthy devotee of the Satan!" He hissed, bringing out his hands out of the darkness and fluttered them in front of the redhead, "You'll be too!"
Tala gasped. The length of his breaths was decreasing. For escaping from the moron, he turned left and ran but again found the king of underground there. Rotating behind, he pulled his feet but collided against only the purple-haired guy. Applying all the strength of his body, he revolved left and hauled his ankles. Poor redhead, he didn't know that the intruder had the ability of encircling him from all the four directions. For a rare moment in his life, he felt nervous. He assumed as if he'd been alone and stranded. There was nobody to listen to him. His eyes desperately searched for his dear brother whom he used trust more than himself. But no, nobody was there. His lovely mother, sweet sister, motherly aunts, reliable cousins, sister-like sister-in-law...not even the diva with whom he'd already fallen in deep love in secrecy. He searched for weapons. Bad luck belonged to him; he was completely unarmed. Despite being a Russian, for the first time, cold breeze froze his spine, running off with all his sensations and abilities of physical movement.
I tried to scream, but couldn't,
As there wasn't enough power in my voice,
The whole situation was…more than a horror drama,
Which was against my choice.
"Buhahaha!" The purple-haired monster burst out frantic laughter as his clones superposed on one another, "Prince Valkov, you may hide from me but you cannot flee from me. Just like this, you'll remain alone. There'll be nobody for you. I repeat, nobody! Not even your adorable brother, Kai Hiwatari!"
"Let me go, you crazy demon!" The redhead blurted, "What will you get from me?"
"The whole world!" The king of underground clutched his collars, "I'll make you my slave one day. I'll sacrifice your sacred soul to Lucifer! You'll be my servant! You'll be the supporter of evil!"
"Never in my lifetime!" The wolf-prince felt crippled from all the directions. His organs were going numb.
"Then...maybe in the next life?!"
My hands were chained in the shackles,
It wasn't less terrible than a jail,
My vocal cord was severed,
With a chainsaw, belonged to this bloody hell.
He didn't have any logical answer. In the darkness, only the sharp nails and the scary face of the maniac could be seen. Even in the cold atmosphere, the wolvia-wielder was sweating a lot. His breaths weren't calm anymore. The hands of the crazy man grabbed his neck and chocked him hard. His spine forgot all the sensations. His vision turned blurred. Before the final moment, he could utter only one word, screaming:
"KAI!"
Throwing the blanket off, the wolvia-wielder hurriedly sat up on his bed. His forehead was drenched due to excessive sweat even in the comfortable weather. For the perspiration, his koroshotvka shirt was clinging to the skin of his back and chest, clearly exposing his icy complexion. Breaths were still short and shaky as his lungs were struggling hard to receive enough oxygen from the outer air. He put a hand on the left side of his chest. Feeling the extreme speed of his heartbeats, he himself got startled. No, it wasn't beating, it was jumping madly there. Still, everything was seeming smoky before his eyes. Rubbing them, he squinted.
"You okay?"
Feeling a hand wrapping his shoulders, he looked back. A pair of amethyst orbs was watching him very carefully. They were filled with the concerns for him. Blankly, he kept staring at them for a few moments. Then, he slowly turned his face away.
"Just a dream..." He huffed, letting all the weight of his lungs and heart come out and mix in the air.
"Here, have it."
The redhead saw a glass of water which was held by his cousin. Suddenly, he felt that his throat was becoming a desert. Grabbing it, he quenched all the liquid without breathing. The water sent peace through his veins, his breaths and heartbeats calmed down a bit. Lungs also received the certain amount of oxygen finally. Blowing off and putting the goblet on the side-table, he heaved a long sigh.
"What happened?" Again, the soothing hand of the phoenix-prince fell on his shoulder, "You were behaving weird in your sleep."
"Told you, it was just a dream," Tala didn't want to speak the truth, "You don't need to worry about me, Kai."
"Then why did you utter my name?"
Tala gasped. He understood that he'd been being observed by his cousin. The phoenix-prince hadn't left him alone for a single moment. Curving down, he looked at his hand which was still in the hand of the dual-haired Russian. Understanding it, quickly, the phoenix-wielder left his hand, rotating in another direction as if he'd taken a vow that he would never show his affection for his brother.
Yet, deep inside, his heart was craving for knowing the condition of his cousin. This bond belonged more to souls than the blood.
Don't think too much,
Share with me.
The agonizing mystery of your heart...
Let it be revealed to me.
Why're the signs of worries are evident on your face?
It has also started to bother,
Silly, why cannot you understand?
That I'm your brother?
"K...Kai..." He whispered, not letting him go, "I have dreamt a terrible dream."
"I'm listening." Reply came, assuring the distressed redhead that he was here for him.
"A strange man, having purple-colored hair, was grabbing my neck," Tala asserted, biting his lips, "And he told me that he would sacrifice my soul to the Satan."
Hearing the description of the dream of his cousin, the phoenix-prince's eyebrows slightly wrinkled. He read the expression that was on the face of the wolf-prince. His silent façade was saying that the intruder was very dreadful. He must have experienced something dark and creepy in his nightmare. Though the pain on his neck wasn't bothering much, the stress and fatigue which had been caused by his dream were eating him from inside. The phoenix-prince didn't know what to say to the distraught prince but he squeezed his shoulders gently. Immediately, the wolf-prince understood the body language of his cousin. All the fears got released from his heart. Firmly, he grasped one of the hands of the dranzer-wielder.
'Kai...I don't know whether you'll stay by me in our next birth or not...' The redhead pondered, 'But please...don't let me be the slave of that maniac. If it's not possible for you, take the help from others but please...don't let anyone put me in the dungeon of darkness...'
I'm the face and you're the mirror,
Thus, helping me rectify any error,
The whole world of me consists of you,
Save you, there remains no other hue,
That's why, I cannot see any other
Road without you because you're my brother.
"May I come in, Hiwatarian?"
Having heard the gentle knock on the door, both the brothers raised their eyes, leaving each other. The princess of Japan was standing there smilingly with a tray in her hands. On it, there was a pewter chalice filled with a transparent crimson liquid. Its surface had a few munched mint leaves, floating. Behind her, another face could be seen. Nope, the face wasn't seeming very pleased. The Spaniard was lowering her head, trying her best not to gaze at the eyes of the wolvia-wielder. It looked like she was also holding something.
"Hn." Kai nodded, permitting his fiancée. With a gentle smile, she entered the room, followed by her cousin. The Russians saw the Latina's hands inclosing an earthen pot which was covered with a piece of white cloth. The beads of water on the fabric-lid was showing that the stuff inside the casserole was quite hot.
"Glad to see you awake, prince Valkov," Hilary approached her brother-in-law, gently placing the tray on the side-table, "How're you feeling now? Better?"
"Yes," The redhead nodded, making sure that the signs of his nervousness weren't visible before the girls, "Thank you, sister-in-law."
"Why're you thanking me, prince Valkov?" The brunette smiled, "I am the one who should thank you from the core of her heart. After all, risking your own life, you have saved my sister's. Really, I'm very grateful to you."
"What are you saying, sister-in-law?" The half-lying man glanced at the flustered dual-haired with the corners of his eyes once, "I've only performed my responsibility. Oh, another thing. Call me by my name. It will make me feel better."
Getting the vibe of getting a brother, the ruby orbs of the brunette glittered with tears a bit. Since her childhood, from other girls, she'd had used to hear some harsh things regarding married life and the family of the husband. Her friends had used to scare her a lot saying those things. Though her heart had pounded, deep inside, she'd always expected of a family where she'd be given love, care, respect and affection. She'd always dreamt of a household where she'd be treated like a daughter. She had to leave her cousin brothers behind, so what? Her brother-in-law would be there for her. He would be her brother.
"Sure, prince Valk...I mean, prince Tala," She beamed, "Anyways, drink the juice soon. I myself have prepared it. It's quite good for injured people."
"Nope!" Tala demanded, "Not any rank before my name. Sisters don't call brothers by their ranks."
"Okay okay..." Hilary chortled, carefully wiping her tears, "Tala, have your drink. Don't forget to eat the food too which Julia has made with her own hands."
'Great guy...' The phoenix-prince sighed, 'Now I'm feeling jealous of him for the very first time in my life. I wish I could have his luck too...'
Removing his eyes from his sister-in-law, the wolf-prince set them on the Spaniard who was standing right beside the brunette. Her jade pupils were put at her toes. Cheeks seemed puffy as if she'd been crying for a long time. Maybe, that crimson rose on her face because of...
Embarrassment? Was the redhead dreaming? Julia Fernandez, the daughter of a Matador clan, the woman who didn't hesitate a bit to utter what reached her tongue, was shying away from him? She was blushing? Did the scratch of the wolf make him mad or wild completely? Or was he still sleeping? Whatever it was, the wolf-prince struggled hard to make his own eyes believe.
"Ahem..." Hilary cleared her throat, "Hiwatarian, I have to talk to you about something important. So if you..."
"Hn," The dual-haired Russian stood up from his chair. Reaching his fiancée, he stealthily showed a thumb to his cousin which made him blush in fifty shades of red. Somehow resisting her laughter, the brunette went out of the room along with her fiancé. Once only two people were there, with secretive trajectories, the dual-haired girl made herself seated, still not raising her head.
"Why aren't you looking at me, princess Fernandez?" Her heart bumped, "Does my face look so ugly?"
That was enough for her to gaze at him. Nope, she could never commit that grave sin by telling a baseless lie. Undoubtedly, the wolf-prince was one of the handsomest men whom she'd ever seen. Slowly, she faced him.
"Thank you so much for saving my life, prince..." The Spaniard murmured, "I don't know what to say exactly..."
"You don't have to say anything, princess Fernandez," Tala coughed, "I told your cousin that it was my responsibility. Had any other woman been in your shoes, I would have done the same to her."
"You would have given her fresh purple lotuses too?"
Gasping, the redhead stared at her emeralds. They were fresh, glimmering, filled with love and passion. The fiery sensations, the anger-they weren't anymore there. She was showing some feminine natures before him.
Well, are all the girls same? Do they have to express their womanly sides before the persons with whom they are in deep love no matter how much tomboyish they are?
"It's getting cold," Julia removed the cloth from the pot, "I've made Spanish omelet for you. I hope you'll like it."
The aroma of a conventional Spanish staple tickled the nostrils of the wolf-prince as his stomach growled. In front of him, fragrant steams rose up from the platter. All of a sudden, he felt that he hadn't eaten anything since morning. The Latina failed to hide her chuckle from him.
"Thanks a lot for troubling for me, princess," Tala bit his lips, "Really, I'm touched."
"You must tell me how it's been after eating this," Julia demanded, "I'm eagerly waiting to listen to you."
"Why should I?"
"Oh...actually..." The Spanish girl flushed, "That day, when you indirectly taunted me regarding my cooking skill, I took a vow that one day, I would show you what an excellent cook I am! So..."
"You don't need to show it," Tala grinned, "That day, from Kai, I have also learnt a lesson. Taste of the food doesn't remain in the food, it remains in the heart of the taster and at his or her tongue. So...whatever you have prepared, I know it will be very delicious."
"Even if it becomes spicy..." Julia's tone sounded slightly nervous, "Then?"
"Then also I'll be able to eat it, no problem."
The Spaniard crimped a bit. Obvious the specks of roses were on her face, so were they on the cheeks of the redhead. Taking a piece of the omelet, he took a bite. Immediately, his salivary glands got activated, taste buds happily received the euphoric flavor of the dish. Satisfaction rose in his icy blue orbs which were like an open book to the dual-haired princess at that moment.
O my beloved, you're like a clove,
And I am a cardamom,
I'm lost after you,
Your love has taken this lovely single girl,
I am the shadow produced by the mountains of El Carmel,
I hide your name in my eyes,
I hide your names in eyes...
"Prince..." The brunette looked here and there once before speaking for checking whether they were being followed or not, "I've brought you here for telling you something important."
"I'm listening." Crossing his arms on his chest and leaning against a wall, the phoenix-prince spoke.
"Sorry for bothering you..." The princess of Japan bent her head, "But the talk involves our cousins too."
"Hn."
"Actually..." Hilary started, taking a deep breath, "When I took Julia with me, she was crying. I told her again and again to stop but she just...couldn't listen to me. Taking a lot of time, with much dedication, she prepared the Spanish omelet for your brother. She is behaving strange ever since we returned from the temple. I think..."
"She loves Tala."
"Huh?" His fiancée gasped, startled, "Prince, how did you read my mind?"
"I read only my mind, princess." Kai chuckled.
"Come on..." Hilary blushed, "Anyways, I was saying how it will be whether Julia gets married to Tala?"
Raising his amethyst orbs, the Russian frowned at her which made her shiver a bit. Biting her lips, she cursed her for not having any rein to pull her tongue back in front of her would-be husband. But when a tiny smile became molded by his lips, she cocked an eyebrow.
"How did you read my mind, princess?"
"It means..."
"Don't worry, everything is being processed," Kai squeezed her shoulders softly, assuring her, "I just need your..."
"I'm ready to help you in each and every possible mean, prince!" The brunette leapt in joy, "Since you have agreed with me, a great burden from my heart has been removed. Thank you so much, Hiwatarian. Now convincing Julia is my duty though I don't think I have to do it. And you..."
"Convincing Tala may be a tougher job, I guess..." Kai sighed, "But I'm assuring you that I'll try my best."
"And I have full faith on you," Blushingly, the chocolate-haired girl nodded, "All the best, my prince."
"Same to you, my princess."
Beaming at each other once, both the lovers left the place. For them, it was the time to unite another pair of lovers...
The hill was quite tall, almost penetrating the clouds. The dark vapors were surrounding its pinnacle which was resembling a needle from a certain distance. Here and there on its body, some grasses grew piercing the ruthless sarsens. Anyone could see it as the mixture of different shades of blue and green. From its peak, a fountain was streaming back, creating a creek at the bottom of the mountain. The foams of the water were as white as the milk of an ewe. Climbing the hummock wasn't one's cup of tea at all. But when there was determination, it became possible for them. They were called "Insistent" by the common people.
One of them was sitting on the apex in lotus pose. She could easily be identified by her silvery-blonde hair which was tied into a high bun with left extensions crossing her waist. Once upon a time, she'd been very beautiful. The rays of sunshine had burnt her fair complexion. Dark circles were visible under her closed eyes. Hands and feet were carrying the gore stains that had been caused for climbing the hill. She became so slim that her collar bones could be seen in a pretty miserable state. Straightening her back, only drinking water for the last seven days, she was meditating. Before her, fire was burning in a pewter alter. Her stomach was growling again and again for food but she wasn't caring. Seeing her shabby cloths and glum condition, who could say that she was none but the chief consort of the emperor of Doomland?
Suddenly, a heavenly light seeped before her from the sky. Squinting, she opened her turquoise eyes. Before her, an ageless lady was standing. Her bright blonde tresses were falling on her round shoulders. Her skin was so gleaming that it was almost blinding the meditating woman. Aquamarine orbs were vivified with eternal joys and blisses. They were beautifying her rosy lips too. A wreath of white roses was encompassing her forehead, revamping itself. Sleeveless white gown was tucked to her slender waist with the help of a golden waistband. She was evergreen, ever-young. One of her hands was carrying a silver pitcher. The sweetness inside the pot caressed the nose of the empress.
"I have been pleased with you and your penance," The goddess smiled, raising a hand, "Tell me, my daughter. Why have you summoned me?"
"My lady..." Alendra stood up. Bowing to her with utmost respect, she wiped her tears, "Thank you so much for showing yourself before this worthless woman. She'll be indebted to you forever."
"Don't call yourself worthless, my girl," Hebe voiced, "Wish for any boon from me."
"My lady, your sight is enough for me," The queen was humble, "But if you want to bless me, please, make my husband immortal."
"What?" The deity seemed confused, "What are you saying?"
"I'm not wanting anything from myself, my lady," Alendra clarified, "I don't want to be a widow. I want to live with my husband forever. You must know that no other thing is as precious as the life of her husband for a chaste woman."
"But, my child..." Hebe felt baffled, "Immortality is the trait of only Gods. A human being cannot contain it. Besides, your son has mercilessly defeated my brother Apollo..."
"My lady, you're called the goddess of forgiveness," The queen pleaded, "Please, forgive my family too. Just make my husband immortal."
"It's not possible, my girl."
"Then fine!" Alendra lifted a lying sword beside the alter, "If you aren't ready to fulfill my wish, it means you haven't been pleased with me yet. For pleasing you, I'm offering my life to you, my lady! Perhaps with it, my husband gets immortality..."
Unleashing the weapon from its scabbard, the woman placed it against her throat. Gasping, the goddess stretched a hand towards her, "Don't need to do it, my daughter. I'll fulfill your wish."
The queen beamed in happiness and bowed before the goddess as the ageless lady poured some elixir from her pitcher into a silver cup. Handing it to the meditator, she explained, "Make your husband drink it. Nobody will be able to take his life until..."
"Until?" With curious eyes, the Regina asked the deity.
"This tonic will remain active till he interacts with any evil spirit and decides to use it on battle purposes," The immortal lady answered, "Absorbing elixir from his body indirectly, evil spirits may get stronger. In that case..."
"I'll be conscious about this fact, my lady!" Wiping her tears, the wife of the demon again bowed, "Thank you so much for fulfilling my prayers. The more I will thank you and praise you, the less it will be!"
"You're welcome, my girl," Hebe dimly smiled, "Just remember one thing. The result of immortality doesn't bring the good things always. Specially, if it reaches any unworthy person, then it creates chaos. So, be careful."
"As your wish, my lady." Alendra bowed as smiling once again, the goddess disappeared. Mesmerized, the queen looked at the clear liquid inside the silver goblet. Its flavor was divine. Her heart bubbled in euphoria as she imagined to have an immortal husband. Extinguishing the fire, she started descending from the hill very carefully.
In his chamber, the emperor of Japan was gently strolling around. Receiving a sharp sound of tearing cloth, he turned to the windows. An arrow had pierced the velvet curtains of his chamber. But it didn't catch his attention. Seeing the document tied to the barb, he felt curious. Going to his windows, he untucked the shaft and unfastened it. Unrolling the black-colored parchment, he attentively started reading the silver-written letter on it:
"Honorable emperor of Japan,
Accept the respectful greetings of demon Billy. I'd like to request you to stop the marriage of your daughter and sent the Russian princes back to their kingdom. You know far well that prince Hiwatari didn't come to Japan with a view to attending the groom-choosing ceremony of princess Hilary Tachibana. Rather, sage Dickenson brought him there. It's better for you to offer the hands of your daughter to the king of all the monsters, Boris Balkov. Otherwise, princess Tachibana will get kidnapped and her honor will be tarnished. As a father, you mustn't want it, must you?
So, be considerate.
Sincerely,
Billy, the demon."
Reading the letter, the king felt a jolt in his heart. His eyes were widened in shock. Anger and fear-both could be seen in his orbs. His restless fingers strangled the scroll like chocking someone's throat. Breathing deeply, he approached his armors which were kept beside his dressing-table.
Wearing them, he brought down the sword from the hanger. When he was about to leave his room, someone collided with him. Somehow managing himself from falling, he looked at the man. He was none but his brother, Taro Tate. Seeing him, the Japanese king heaved a sigh.
"Ni-san, I wanted you to inform you something," Taro almost yammered, "Billy, the demon..."
"I know," Hayashi stopped his brother, "He has threatened me to abduct Hilary if I don't give her hand to Boris Balkov. But he doesn't have any idea about the strength in the arms of king Tachibana. The insult of my daughter is the insult of whole Japan. I won't tolerate either of them, Taro. So, I'm going to battle against him. Don't tell anyone about it."
"Ni-san..." The king of America took his sword from him, "You're the father of our Hilary. Within less than ten days, her marriage is going to take place. At this time, you should be here for supervising everything. Let me go to the battlefield instead, I'll teach a lesson to that Billy. Don't worry, everything will be fine."
"Be victorious, my brother," Hayashi raised a hand, "Take care of yourself and stay safe."
Smiling mildly, the American emperor left the room. Looking at his trajectories, the Japanese sighed, sitting on his bed and clutching the bedsheets in nervousness.
'Please, my lord...' His lips wobbled in prayers, 'Protect Japan, my daughter and her loved ones.'
Precap of next chapter:
"What the hell are you doing, Tala?!" The phoenix-prince screeched, "She's your sister-in-law!"
"Stay away from this witch, Kai!" The redhead pointed his bow and arrow at the brunette who was shuddering violently in fear, "She's nothing but the bad luck of the world!"
The dual-haired Russian frowned, reading the expressions of both his brother and his fiancée. Then, smirking, he stepped back which made the brunette gasp. Closing his eyes, the wolf-prince launched the arrow. It ended up gouging the soft chest of the princess of Japan. She winced in pain as droplets of tears spattered on her cheeks. Pressing the wound, she collapsed on the ground before her fiancé who had no expression on his face at that time.
"Aaaah!"
Oh no! What the fuck has happened to these freaking Russians? :'O
