I don't own Avatar: the Last Airbender only my OC Yuka.

Yuka rushes back to the village when reaches the immediately finds Sokka and Gran-Gran

What happened? Asks Yuka.

Isn't obvious the Airbender is a spy, said Sokka.

Sokka I think we should get Aang's side of the story and hear him out before we pass judgment on him said Yuka.

I agree said Gran-Gran.

They didn't have to wait long.

Children: Yay! Aang's back!

I knew it said Sokka.

You signaled the Fire Navy with that flare said Sokka.

You're leading them straight to us, aren't you? Asks Sokka.

So much for hearing him out before passing judgment said Yuka.

Aang didn't do anything said Katara.

It was an accident said Katara.

Yeh, we were on the ship and there was this booby trap and well we boobied right into it said Aang.

Katara, you shouldn't have gone on that ship said Gran-Gran.

Now we could all be in grave danger said Yuka.

Don't blame Katara said Aang.

I brought her there said Aang.

It's my fault said Aang

Aha the traitor confesses said Sokka

Warriors away from the enemy said Sokka.

Aang is banned from the village said Yuka.

Yuka, you're making a mistake said Katara.

No, I'm keeping my promise to Dad said Yuka.

We're protecting you from threats like him said Sokka.

Aang is not our enemy said Katara.

Don't you see? Said Katara.

Aang's brought us something we haven't had in a long time said Katara.

Fun said Katara,

Fun? Said Sokka

We can't fight the fire nation with fun said Sokka.

You should try it sometime said Aang.

Get out of our village. Now said Yuka.

Grandmother, please, don't let them do this said Katara.

Katara, you knew going on that ship was forbidden said Gran-Gran.

Your brothers are right said Gran-Gran

I think it best if the Airbender leaves said Gran-Gran

Fine, then I'm banished too said Katara.

C'mon, Aang, let's go said Katara.

Where do you think you're going? Asks Sokka.

To find a waterbender said Katara.

Aang is taking me to the North Pole said Katara.

I am? Great said Aang

Katara! Would you really choose him over your tribe? Your own family? Asks Yuka.

Katara, I don't want to come between you and your family said Aang.

So, you're leaving the South Pole? This is goodbye? Asks Katara.

Thanks for penguin sledding with me said Aang.

Where will you go? Asks Katara.

Guess I'll go back home and look for the airbenders said Aang.

Wow, I haven't cleaned my room in a hundred years said Aang.

Not looking forward to that said Aang.

He airbends himself onto Appa's head where he takes the reigns.

He turns to address the village.

It was nice meeting everyone said Aang.

Let's see your bison fly now, air boy said Sokka.

Sokka now you're just going overboard said Yuka.

Come on, Appa, you can do it! Yip! Yip said Aang.

Appa rumbles and gets onto his feet.

Yeh, I thought so said Sokka.

Yuka smacks him on the back of the head.

Little Girl: Aang! Don't go! We'll miss you!

I'll miss you too said Aang.

Come on, boy said Aang.

Katara, you'll feel better after you said, Gran Gran.

You happy now? There goes my one chance of becoming a waterbender said Katara.

All right! Ready our defenses! The Fire Nation could be on our shores any moment now said Sokka.

Little Boy: But, I gotta.

And no potty breaks said Sokka.

Again going overboard Sokka said Yuka.

Sokka and prepare for the Fire Navy ship

They stand atop the ice wall of the village, scanning the mist for any sign of the enemy.

Now you're really going overboard said. It's probably just one ship, not an entire fleet said Yuka.

Better safe than sorry said Sokka.

Oi said Yuka.

Plus you can take them out with your firebending.

They gotta have at least three dozen if not more Firebenders on that ship, I can't take all out by myself said Yuka.

Suddenly, a deep rumbling noise is heard and the ground begins to shake.

Parts of the wall on which Sokka stands begins to crumble.

Sokka where the guard tower in the background collapses in a heap of snow and ice.

Oh man said Sokka.

You can build another tower Sokka said Yuka.

Ohhh, man said Sokka.

Sokka, Yuka get out of the way said Katara.

Yuka jumps.

As the ship reaches the wall, it collapses into a heap of ice and snow which tumbles back into the village, carrying Sokka with it.

Steam wafts up from where the bow has split the ice.

The villagers have emerged from their shelters and stare in trepidation and amazement at the ship.

Katara and Yuka in front.

Katara draws a deep breath in anticipation.

Sokka looking up at the ship, who also draws breath.

With a noise of metal on metal, the bowsprit of the ship opens and folds out and down onto the village's floor.

The bow has become a huge gangplank.

Sokka falls backward to avoid being crushed by the bowsprit.

As the steam clears from the top of the bow, Zuko and a host of Fire Nation soldiers are revealed.

Zuko walks down the gangplank stairs followed by guards.

Sokka gets up and charges Zuko with a war cry.

As he runs up the steps to the Prince, Zuko casually and expertly kicks his weapon out of his hand and then kicks him in the face, sending him sprawling on the ice to the planks right.

His head gets stuck in the snow and he struggles comically to free himself.

The villager's drawback in fright and the ease with which their only warrior has been dispatched by the invaders.

Zuko walks forward to address the village. He looks over the crowd, then walks over to Katara, Yuka, and Gran Gran.

Yuka steps in front.

Where are you hiding him? Asks Zuko.

He grabs Gran Gran and shows her to the villagers.

He'd be about this age? Master of all elements? Asks Zuko.

He means the Avatar thought Yuka.

After a brief pause, he throws Gran Gran roughly back to Katara.

With a cry of frustration, he launches gout of flame over the villager's heads.

They cower in fear.

I know you're hiding him said Zuko.

Behind Zuko, Sokka gets up, his face paint largely gone.

He retrieves his weapon and charges Zuko with another cry.

Zuko turns to him in annoyance.

He dodges Sokka's charges and flips him over his head.

Zuko fires a blast of flame at Sokka, but Sokka rolls out of the way, throwing his boomerang at Zuko as he does. Caught by surprise, Zuko barely avoids the boomerang.

He turns to look back in anger at Sokka over the near-miss.

Little Boy: Show no fear.

Hey Katara. Hey Sokka, Hey Yuka said Aang.

Hi...Aang. Thanks for comin' said Sokka.

Looking for me? Asks Aang.

You're the Airbender? You're the Avatar? Asks Zuko.

Aang? Said Katara.

No way said Sokka.

I did not see that comin' said Yuka.

I've spent years preparing for this encounter. Training. Meditating. You're just a child said Zuko.

Well, you're just a teenager said Aang.

If I go with you, will you promise to leave everyone alone? Asks Aang.

No, Aang! Don't do this said Katara.

Don't worry, Katara, it'll be okay said Aang.

Take care of Appa for me until I get back said Aang.

Head a course to the Fire Nation. I'm going home said Zuko.

It just me or do Yuka and that scarred kid look alike? Asks Sokka.

Scene change

We have to go after that ship, Sokka. Aang saved our tribe; now we have to save him said Katara.

Katara, I said Sokka.

Why can't you realize that he's on our side? Asks Katara.

Katara said Yuka.

If we don't help him, no one will. I know you don't like Aang, but we owe him and I said Katara.

Katara! Are you gonna talk all day or are you comin' with us? Asks Sokka.

Sokka said Katara.

Get in. We're going to save your boyfriend said Sokka.

He's not my said Katara.

Whatever said Sokka.

What do you three think you're doing? Asks Gran Gran

You'll need these. You have a long journey ahead of you. It's been so long since I've had hope. But you brought it back to life, my little waterbender. And you, my brave warriors, be nice to your sister said, Gran Gram.

Yeah... okay, Gran said Sokka.

Aang is the Avatar. He's the world's only chance. You both found him for a reason. Now your destinies are intertwined with his said Gran Gran.

There's no way we're gonna catch a warship with a canoe said Yuka.

Appa said Katara,

You just love taking me out of my comfort zone, don't ya? Asks Sokka.

Later

Go. Fly. Soar said Sokka.

Not helping Sokka said Yuka.

Please, Appa, we need your help. Aang needs your help said Katara.

Up. Ascend. Elevate said Sokka.

Seriously not helping said Yuka.

Sokka doesn't believe you can fly, but I do, Appa said Katara.

Come on. Don't you wanna save Aang? Said Yuka.

What was it that kid said? Yee-ha? Hup hup? Wahoo? Uh... yip yip? Said Sokka.

I think you just said the magic words said Yuka.

You did it, Sokka said Katara.

He's flying! He's flying! Katara, he's said Sokka.

I mean, big deal, he's flying said Sokka.

They fly for a while and then spot the ship.

There it is said Yuka.

They see Aang get blasted off the ship,

Aang! No said Katara.

Aang's eyes and tattoo's glow white, an expression of determination forming on his face. He turns around in the water and begins to rise towards the surface. Around him, a mighty whirlpool of water begins to form

Zuko, who looks up at the swirling column of water and the Avatar at its pinnacle with dismay and fear. Aang lands on the deck, his eyes still aglow, and bends the water from the column around him in a circle. He releases it and it expands outward in a shockwave that blasts Zuko and his men overboard.

Yuka whistles.

Did you see what he just did? Asks Katara.

Yeah said Yuka.

Now that was some waterbending said Sokka.

Aang! Are you okay? Asks Katara.

Hey Katara. Hey Sokka. Hey Yuka Thanks for coming said Aang.

Well, I couldn't let you have all the glory said Sokka.

I dropped my staff said Aang.

Got it said Yuka.

Yuka runs over to pick up the staff.

As he picks it up, Yuka is shocked to see that Zuko holds the other end of it.

Zuko was washed overboard but held onto the part of Aang's staff that was hanging out over the deck.

Zuko lets go and begin to fall to the water below, but grabs the anchor chain in time. He hangs by one hand.

They stare at each other.

Katara picks up a stream of water from the deck and the guards pull back slightly in fear. She tries to whip the guards with the water.

Katara said Sokka.

Sokka starts to chip away at the ice holding his feet with his boomerang while the soldiers move forward once again.

Katara picks up another stream of water and throws it at the soldiers without looking. they are now frozen in a thin sheet of ice. She turns and climbs back up on Appa.

Yuka come on said Katara.

Hurry up, Sokka said Katara.

I'm just a guy with a boomerang; I didn't ask for all this flying and magic said Sokka.

Need some help? Asks Yuka.

Yes please said Sokka.

Yuka creates a small flame in this hand and uses it to melt the ice.

They both run up Appa's tail.

Yip yip! Yip yip said Sokka.

Huh? Said Uncle.

Shoot them down said Zuko.

As Appa goes, Zuko and Iroh in unison launch a massive ball of fire at Appa. Katara and Sokka look behind them in horror at the approaching fireball. Aang jumps to the back of the saddle and, using his airbends, a gale that sends the fireball at a right angle away from Appa and into the ice cliff nearby. The fireball explodes, releasing a huge amount of ice from the cliff wall which falls into the narrow channel that Zuko's ship is navigating. Zuko gasps in horror as the bow of the ship and indeed the entire channel is blocked up under an avalanche of ice.

Good news for the Fire Lord. The nation's greatest threat is just a little kid said, Uncle.

That kid, Uncle, just did this. I won't underestimate him again. Dig this ship out and follow them! As soon as you're done with that said Zuko.

Who was that guy woh looked just like me? Is it? No, it couldn't be he's dead thought Zuko.

Scene change

How did you do that? With the water? It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen said Katara.

I don't know. I just sort of... did it said Aang.

Why didn't you tell us you were the Avatar? Asks Yuka.

Because... I never wanted to be said Aang.

But Aang, the world's been waiting for the Avatar to return and finally put an end to this war.

And how am I going to do that? Asks Aang.

According to legend, you need to first master water, then earth, then fire, right? Asks Yuka.

That's what the monks told me said Aang.

Well, if we go to the North Pole you can master waterbending said Aang.

And when the time comes I can teach you Firebending but be in mind i'm not a master yet said Yuka.

We can learn them together said Aang.

Besides, i'm sure we can find you a master somewhere along the way said Katara.

And Sokka, I'm sure you'll get to knock some firebender heads on the way no offense Yuka said Katara.

None taken said Yuka.

I'd like that. I'd really like that said Sokka

Then we're in this together said Yuka.

All right, but before I learn waterbending, we have some serious business to attend to here, here, and here said Aang.

What's there? Asks Katara.

Here we'll ride the hopping llamas. Then waaaay over here we'll surf on the backs of giant koi fish. Then back over here we'll ride the hog-monkeys. They don't like people riding them, but that's what makes it fun said Aang.
