That night Teddy dreamt of his Sorting going the way he wanted. He'd had this dream before, but now everything seemed much less vivid. No matter how much he concentrated he could no longer picture everything Harry had described to him.

'Come on, just focus more…' he thought. 'Focus…focus…focus…'

'Hey dude, wake up!'

Teddy found himself being shaken awake by a blonde boy with hazel eyes. He was already dressed in his robes and if about to go straight to classes.

'Wait, am I running late?' panicked Teddy.

'Nah' clarified another boy. 'Lennox just likes to overprepare.'

'It's our first day at Hogwarts!' exclaimed the blonde boy. 'This will only happen to us once!' He extended his hand out for Teddy to shake it.

'Lennox Galbraith' he beamed.

'Teddy Lupin' he replied, shaking his hand.

'Really? That name sounds kind of familiar.' Lennox pondered this for a moment. 'Oh well. What d'you think is for breakfast?'

Ω Ω Ω

What was for breakfast was a combination of fried goat's cheese with honey and churros con chocolate. The boys got to the table slightly before the girls and Teddy got worried when he saw Saffron laughing and chatting with her dorm friends like they'd known each other all their lives.

They all sat in a clump not far from the others. Every single member of House Hufflepuff was waiting for the flock of owls to bring them their letters.

Teddy recognised Caliban, the owl that Hermione Granger bought for him in Diagon Alley and her handwriting on one of the three letters he was brought. The other two were from his grandmother and…

He quickly snatched the third letter and stuffed in in his robes before anyone could see the name of the sender.

'Everything alright?' asked Lennox.

'Oh, yes' lied Teddy.

'You didn't get a howler, did you?' asked the other boy. Teddy vaguely remembered his name as Harvey Cattermole from the sorting.

'Absolutely not!' assured Teddy.

'You haven't got yourself a girlfriend back home, have you?' Harvey raised an eyebrow.

'I assure you, no girls back home. At least none to speak of really.'

'Am I missing gossip?' a third boy chimed in as he beckoned the girls over. 'Castor McIrwin. This is my sister Rachel.'

Rachel McIrwin perched down next to Castor, bringing Saffie Undercliffe to the table as well, which Teddy was certainly grateful for. He knew she didn't ask too many prying questions.

'Hey, Not Alone Buddy,' he smiled at her.

'Morning,' she replied.

Castor couldn't hold back his smirk from the name the pair had given each other. Rachel kneed him across the table for that.

'So, you get any mail?' asked Saffie.

Teddy almost facepalmed. We'd just moved away from that topic!

'Why yes. Yes, I did!' he signed, opening up the letter from Hermione.

Dear Teddy,

How does it feel to finally be at Hogwarts? It's all Rose and Hugo can talk about, as I'm sure you can imagine. They'll be wanting to hear your stories soon, but I hope they're not nearly as dangerous as mine were! Did you end up sorted into Gryffindor? Regardless of what the answer may be, remember that you will flourish best wherever you ended up. It is often our own denial the prevents us from embracing our attributes. Remember that and your Hogwarts days will be truly some of the best of your life. Just don't forget to study too!

Lots of Love,

Hermione.

PS: Give our love to Neville as well.

Oh, no. Oh, no no no no no! This was not good. Not good at all. Teddy felt a knot tie in his stomach. If he tried to get up his legs would turn into jelly. Suddenly the churros didn't seem as appetising. Forget not being a Gryffindor; this was the urgent matter to address.
