Entrapment

The two brothers brought their captive in the command center and sat him in front of a comm unit. Corran stood at the man's side pointing the blaster at his temple while his brother unshackled Draco. The pirate was rubbing his wrist to stimulate the blood circulation. Biggs moved backward and watched him carefully, having his blaster at the ready. He didn't want to take any risk. There was their mother's life at stake.
"One wrong word and you are dead, Sleemo," Corran said with a menacing undertone. He wanted to make sure that the pirate would play along nicely. "And now you'll contact this First Order guy and tell him that you have more Rebels for him. Ask him for the coordinates so you can deliver them."
Draco glared at the youngest of the male Rendar, but then he took a deep breath, modulated the frequency and called Canady's Dreadnought. It didn't take long and he was patched through to the commodore.
"I hope this is important, Dracon," the commodore's voice was to be heard. "I'm busy."
The pirate cast a glance at Biggs who was nodding his head and made a sign with his hand which meant 'Go ahead'.
"We managed to capture the commander's husband," Draco finally said with a hint of triumph in his voice.
The two Rendar offspring looked at him in astonishment. He was doing far more than he was ordered to do.
"The commander's husband?" The commodore couldn't hide that he was very excited about the news. "How have you managed to catch him?"
Draco answered the question with a lengthy description how he and his crew had captured Dash Rendar until he finally asked the question the young Jedi were waiting for.
"I need a location where I can deliver the Rebel scum, Commodore."
There was only statics to be heard, but after a while the answer came.
"We are in the Kashyyyk system, near the planet itself," the commodore said finally and Biggs raised an eyebrow hearing this.
"I will be there in…" Draco looked at Corran who hold up two fingers. "I will be there in two standard days, Commodore."
"Excellent," Canady remarked before he cut the connection.

Draco looked at Corran and Biggs with a broad grin.
"He took the bait. Canady was unable to resist the chance to have two Resistance leaders in his grip."
Corran was staring at the pirate. "This was more than we ordered you to do, Draco. Why have you done this?"
The pirate shrugged still grinning. "Why? For you I am the bad guy who sold your mother to the enemy. You never asked me why I've done this."
"There was no reason to do so," Biggs remarked before he fell silent again.
"No reason," Draco scowled and folded his arms in front of his chest leaning back on the chair. "No reason… Do you kiddos know how a pirate crew is working? It isn't like in the military where everybody snaps to attention in front of an officer. Everybody has a say if it comes to decisions. It was my crew and my second in command Rool who made the decision to betray the commander."
Corran snorted. "It's easy to put the blame on dead men, Draco. What you are saying isn't convincing me in the slightest."
The man sitting in front of him rolled his eyes. "What shall I do that you believe me, Rendar?"
Corran pointed at his elder brother with a lopsided grin. "Let my brother take a look again."
Draco lifted his hands in a significant gesture and glared at the younger man and his brother.
"Only over my dead body," he said which the two Rendar brothers caused to break out in laughter.
Corran ceased laughing and wiped a tear before he spoke again. "We can't read a dead man's mind." Biggs nodded his head while he still chuckled a bit.
"That's not funny," the pirate grumbled but he was glad the situation became less menacing than before. That the two men were laughing seemed a good sign to him. "Don't forget that I helped Dash Jr. and Tash after they came to Takodana. It was me who raised the credits for your elder brother's prosthesis. Rest assured I had no intention to endanger our good relationship." He paused for a moment before he continued to speak. "Wait, I have footage of the meeting where they forced me to betray our agreement. Let me show you." He rummaged in his pocket, retrieved a data chip and handed it over to Biggs who put it in a reader.
His brother came over and both were watching the footage, while Draco was waiting for their reaction well knowing what the two were seeing now.
The footage ended and Corran looked at his brother, who nodded his head, then he addressed Draco.
"You've told us the truth. Let's go to our father and tell him where our mother is."

Onboard Canady's Dreadnought was Nomi busy to heal her wounds during another 5 minutes window when the Ysalamiri were sleeping and she was able to use the Force. The Jedi was glad that the animals didn't sleep at different times. Until now she was able to keep her mouth shut if it came to the location of the base.
The cell door opened with a hiss and the commodore was entering followed by two troopers as usual. He sneered at Nomi and planted himself in front of her, his arms folded in front of his chest.
"I have good news for you, Darklighter you will reunite with your husband soon. Draco was able to capture him as well. Rendar the fool thought you are still on the pirate's ship."
He laughed loudly. "Now he will be in my hands soon and suffer the same fate like you."
If he wanted to intimidate the commander he failed utterly. This information was everything she needed to have new hope. Dash wasn't stupid and she was pretty sure that he and their children had a rescue plan. Somehow they must have managed that the pirate captain played along. She feigned to be shocked and desperate, but was already planning on how to escape with her husband's help.
The commodore was watching his prisoner carefully and was pleased to see the reaction he wanted to accomplish.
He couldn't know how wrong he was.
